The purpose of the aviation physical examination guideline is not only to determine the physical fitness of the aviation workers but also to treat the underlying diseases of the aviation employees effectively and to carry out the optimal aviation duties. As medical science advances, treatment guidelines for various diseases are rapidly changing, and aviation physical examination guidelines need to be revised accordingly. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the change trends of the AME guideline around the world and appropriately reflect it according to the situation of Korea. It is also necessary to continue the training of AME who are required to carry out examinations and certificates by these revision guidelines. Therefore, it would be desirable to analyze the education system of the advanced countries including the US and introduce the advantages of these systems into Korean AME education curriculum. Primarily, with the development of the Internet, various online lectures have been developed recently. Therefore, we first aimed to look at the changes in the current AME guideline of the Federal Aviation Administration. Next, we aimed to discuss changes in the course of the AME refresher course. Finally, we would like to suggest some points to be improved by comparing these AME guidelines and educational programs with those of Korea.
Purpose : Developing infection control capabilities during the COVID-19 pandemic was critical. This study aimed to develop a simulation program to control patients with COVID-19 in nursing students and examine the effects on COVID-19 knowledge, COVID-19 nursing intention, self-efficacy learning, and clinical performance. Methods : The study used nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. Sixty nursing students were recruited from two different colleges using purposive sampling. For the intervention group(n=30), the pretest was administered before the simulation program, involving six sessions of online lectures and simulation practices. Immediately, the posttest was conducted following the program. Results : COVID-19 knowledge (t=9.87, p <.001), COVID-19 nursing intention (t=4.45, p <.001), learning self-efficacy (t=6.49, p <.001), and clinical performance (t=6.77, p <.001) increased significantly after the program, revealing the positive effect of the COVID-19 infection control simulation program in nursing students. Conclusion : The results of the study and the curriculum may be used as practical evidence for COVID-19 infection control in nursing schools and medical institutions.
Purpose: This study aims to determine the status of dental technician's continuing education and licensing reporting and provide basic data that can aid in improving the operation of progressive continuing education and licensing reporting and development programs. Methods: This study included dental technicians nationwide who attended the 2023 Korea Dental Technology Expo & Scientific Conference and responded to an online survey from July 21 to July 23, 2023. In total, 180 copies were analyzed. The reliability of satisfaction with continuing education demonstrated a Cronbach's α of 0.924. IBM SPSS Statistics version 21.0 (IBM) was used to statistically analyze the collected data. Results: Satisfaction with continuing education for dental technicians was 2.78, 2.81, 3.21, 2.96, and 2.87 for the number of lectures offered, composition of major fields, lecture content, instructor level, and overall satisfaction, respectively. The average satisfaction with continuing education was 2.93, which was lower than the average (3 points). The investigation revealed that overall improvement was required. Conclusion: Measures for those who have not completed continuing education must be implemented within the government's legal influence by actively using the license reporting system. Strengthening verification of completion of continuing education, improving autonomous disciplinary rights, diversifying the content and learning methods of continuing education, linking with the license reporting system, improving institutional postevaluation, and introducing related policies should be conducted when opening a dental laboratory.

This article is devoted to the problem of national and patriotic education of young students by means of digital technologies in the conditions of distance learning environment. It is emphasized that national and patriotic education is a powerful means of strengthening the unity and integrity of Ukraine. It is proved that national and patriotic education will be effective under the condition of systematic and purposeful activity on formation of patriotic consciousness in youth, sense of national dignity, necessity of service of ideals and values of the country. Various forms of educational work of national and patriotic orientation at Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University, which were conducted by digital technologies: online thematic lectures, educational classes, round tables, workshops, guest online meetings with famous researchers of historical heritage of Ukraine, online tours of historical places, virtual exhibitions of art, participation in the national-patriotic student camp "Diia" (Action) and etc. The activity of the University Library and V. O. Sukhomlinsky State Scientific and Pedagogical Library of Ukraine of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, which has a significant impact on the formation of national consciousness and social and political activity of students by modern means of information and communication technologies. It is determined that the project "Inclusive 3D map" helps to broaden the horizons and deepen the knowledge of young students, education of a true citizen, the formation of cognitive interest in the subjects studied, motivation to study, raising awareness of Ukrainians on historical and cultural heritage. The study showed that young students take an active social attitude: they speak Ukrainian, want to live and work in Ukraine, respect their homeland, its traditions, cultural and historical past, love to travel and they are tolerant of people with special needs. Promising areas of educational work with students based on the use of a wide range of information and communication technologies, namely 3D games, TV tandems, podcasts, social networks, video resources in national and patriotic education of youth.

The purpose of this study is to develop and implement the Appropriate Technology Science School program (ATSS) for youth operated by the Europe-Korea Conference on Science & Technology (EKC) since 2016. The development process consisted of pre-online management meetings, online and offline tutor training, operation of ATSS for youth, and satisfaction surveys. As a result of the development, the management team selected the mission-solving theme of "Transforming village using blockchain technology" through a pre-online meeting. The contents were reorganized according to the level of the participating tutees, and various learning activities such as co-building activities, games, and plays were newly introduced and developed first, and the programs developed through tutor training were demonstrated and improved. A total of 38 tutees and tutors from 6 countries participated in the 2018 ATSS. As a result, participants showed positive satisfaction overall. Tutees showed interest in dome co-building activities and hash function calculation activities, and tutors showed interest in lectures and monopoly games related to blockchain technology. The development and of the 2018 ATSS will contribute to the improvement of expertise in the operation of the EKC ATSS in the future to the management team. It will be an opportunity for tutors to experience that high-tech science and technology have a good impact on appropriate technology for the third world and community society. In addition, Tutees will be provided with an opportunity to indirectly experience the local situation and community society through a role play on the impact of blockchain technology on African villages.

This study investigated the oral health knowledge and educational needs of adults by life cycle. We aimed to provide basic data for developing oral health education plans for well -aging. The survey was conducted online and through mobiles by Gallup Korea during February 2021. A total of 319 adults over the age of 19 were surveyed. The study aimed at investigating the general characteristics, the quality of life-related to oral health, knowledge of oral health, and the need for well-aging education. The PASW Statistics ver 18.0 statistical program was used for data analysis. The analysis of the data suggests that prevention was the highest priority among all age groups. Furthermore, there was a difference in the perceived educational need among different age groups. The cause of the youth, the treatment of the middle-aged and the elderly were significantly related to oral and systemic disease. The need for education related to oral diseases was ranked in the order of aches, bad breath, periodontal diseases, and tooth discoloration. For information, the subjects reached out to the internet, dental and medical institutions, and public health centers. The teaching methods experienced by those surveyed included lectures combined with experience, videos, and expert lectures. We believe that this study can be used to develop an education plan that reflects the needs of the subjects when conducting life cycle education for well-aging.
This research was conducted to assess the effects of an engineering education accreditation program devised by the University of Seoul on higher education outcomes by comparing and analyzing the evaluation results of engineering accredited students (31) and those who are not accredited (47) with the OECD AHELO (Assessment of Higher Education Learning Outcomes) in 2013. The AHELO assessment tool consisted of 25 multiple-choice questions which evaluated generic skill-learning outcomes, also using contextual surveys to establish the students' backgrounds. The results were evaluated statistically. In the results from the multiple-choice exam for generic skill learning outcomes, accredited students scored 1.35 points higher than non-accredited students. Secondly, according to the contextual survey related to students' university education experience, such as lectures, seminars, group projects, and online tutoring, it was found that accredited students were provided more activities in seminars and group projects. Moreover, for class activities, more of these were provided to accredited students, especially in the areas of assortment-structuralization and teamwork-based activities. Thirdly, according to the contextual survey results related to participation in class, specifically regarding asking questions and participating in discussions, interacting with the professor, and opportunities for study time, there were no recognizable differences between accredited and non-accredited students, However, while accredited students at least had opportunities to gain experience in most areas, there were some areas for which education resources were not provided to non-accredited students. Therefore, for the University of Seoul, our results imply that accredited students may show better performance in the areas of academic accomplishment and in their educational environment as compared to non-accredited students. These results demonstrate that the engineering education accreditation program positively contributes to employment competitiveness while also improving the necessary global standards of higher education outcomes.

Purpose: In assessing patients' neurological status following a stroke it is very important to have a valid tool for early detection of neurological deterioration. NIHSS is considered the best tool to reflect neurological status in patients with ischemic stroke. An education program on use of NIHSS was planned for nurses caring for these patients and the effects of the program were evaluated. Methods: The NIHSS education program (NEP) which includes online and video lectures, and practical education was provided to the nurses from April to July, 2010. To examine the effect of NEP, nursing records of patients with ischemic stroke who were admitted to a stroke center were analyzed. Two groups, a historical control group (n=100) and the study group (n=115) were included. Results: Nursing records for neurologic symptoms for each patient increased (41.0% versus 100.0%, p<.001), and especially, visual disturbance, facial palsy. limb paralysis and ataxia, language disturbance, dysarthria, and neglect symptoms significantly increased (all p<.001). Nurse notification to the doctor of patients with neurological changes increased (21.0% versus 39.1%, p=.004), and nurses' neurological deterioration detection rates also increased (37.5% versus 84.6%, p=.009). Conclusion: NEP improved the quality of nursing records for neurological assessment and the detection rate of neurological deterioration.

In this study, a software education program based on blended learning using scratch was designed for pre-service elementary teachers' software education. Software education program was applied to experimental group and control group within the university of education using Scratch programming for 12 weeks. Blended learning using online lectures was applied to experimental group. The pre-service teachers' recognition about software education and self-evaluation of computational thinking were performed. Then, we analyzed the effect of the developed education program on the recognition of software education and computational thinking. As a result, the level of post-recognition of software education in the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the pre-recognition. In the self-evaluation of computational thinking, the experimental group was significantly higher than the control group. Therefore, it can be seen that the software education program based on blended learning can help improve the learner's computational thinking.

This study aims at an objective analysis of the EBS lecture program for the national scholastic achievement examination (NSAE) that started from April 1, 2004. To this end, it obtained and analyzed related data which are archived in the EBS NSAE lecture system under the assistance from EBS. More specifically, it analyzed the practices of lecturer placement and student members. Also, the practices of use of lectures were analyzed by years, and the economical value from the use of the EBS NSAE lecture program was estimated through the comparison with the level of tuitions for private online institutes. In addition, this study diagnosed the properness in counselor placement through an analysis of the use of the web forum, and analyzed the practices of the nonsul (essay-type examination) program in order to identify the coping strategies of EBS with regard to the introduction of a new system for 2008 university entrance system. As a result of the analysis, this study presents various ways to improve the EBS NSAE lecture program.
