Innovative Technology of Teaching Moodle in Higher Pedagogical Education: from Theory to Pactice

  • Relevance. Innovative activities in education should be aimed at ensuring the comprehensive development of the individual and professional development of students. The main idea of modular technology is that the student should learn by himself, and the teacher manages his learning activities. The advantage of modular technology is the ability of the teacher to design the study of the material in the most interesting and accessible forms for this part of the study group and at the same time achieve the best learning results. Innovative Moodle technology. it is gaining popularity every day, significantly expanding the space of teaching and learning, allowing students to study inter-faculty university programs in depth. The purpose of this study is to assess the quality of implementation of the e-learning system Moodle. The study was conducted at the South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushinsky in order to identify barriers to the effective implementation of innovative distance learning technologies Moodle and introduce a new model that will have a positive impact on the development of e-learning. Methodology. The paper used a combination of theoretical and empirical research methods. These include: scientific analysis of sources on this issue, which allowed us to formulate the initial provisions of the study; analysis of the results of students 'educational activities; pedagogical experiment; questionnaires; monitoring of students' activities in practical classes. Results. This article evaluates the implementation of the principles of distance learning in the process of teaching and learning at the University in terms of quality. The experiment involved 1,250 students studying at the South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushinsky. The survey helped to identify the main barriers to the effective implementation of modern distance learning technologies in the educational process of the University: the lack of readiness of teachers and parents, the lack of necessary skills in applying computer systems of online learning, the inability to interact with the teaching staff and teachers, the lack of a sufficient number of academic consultants online. In addition, internal problems are investigated: limited resources, unevenly distributed marketing advantages, inappropriate administrative structure, and lack of innovative physical capabilities. The article allows us to solve these problems by gradually implementing a distance learning model that is suitable for any university, regardless of its specialization. The Moodle-based e-learning system proposed in this paper was designed to eliminate the identified barriers. Models for implementing distance learning in the learning process were built according to the CAPDM methodology, which helps universities and other educational service providers develop and manage world-class online distance learning programs. Prospects for further research focus on evaluating students' knowledge and abilities over the next six months after the introduction of the proposed Moodle-based program.

멀티미디어 수화 콘텐츠의 Semantic Logic 플랫폼 연구 (A Study on Semantic Logic Platform of multimedia Sign Language Content)

  • 초고속 인터넷의 발달로 멀티미디어 수화 콘텐츠가 청각장애인의 수화교육에 활용되고 있다. 수화교육에서 사용되는 대부분 콘텐츠는 한글단어에 대한 수화표현을 수화동영상으로 보여주는 내용이다. 수화를 처음 배우거나, 수화에 익숙하지 않은 사용자들은 수화특성을 이해하기 어렵고, 수화표현에 어려움을 나타내고 있다. 본 논문에서는 온라인에서 수화표현을 학습하기 위해서 수화가 가지고 있는 특성을 참고하고, Semantic Logic을 적용한 멀티미디어 동영상기반의 수화 콘텐츠 모형에 대한 플랫폼 설계를 연구하고자 한다.

C언어 수업을 위한 온라인 코딩 학습 시스템 (Online coding skill learning system for Teaching and learning C language)

  • SW중심사회의 창의적 인재를 위한 핵심 역량 중 코딩능력에 대한 중요도가 높아지고 있다. 이러한 능력을 배양하기 위해서 학습자의 지식 형성을 웹 상에서 능동적으로 학습할 수 있는 온라인 코딩교육 시스템이 필요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 코딩능력에 대한 효과적인 학습과 효율적인 실습을 위해 자동화된 평가가 가능한 온라인 평가(online judge) 모듈 기반의 온라인 코딩 교육 시스템을 제안한다. 제안 시스템은 대학교의 C 프로그래밍 언어 수업에 적용되었으며, 시스템 상에서 166명이 학생이 46,288번의 코드 작성으로 61개의 실습과제를 수행하였다. 전체 학습자의 59.46%가 제안 시스템을 활용한 코딩 학습으로 학습 능력이 향상되었음을 응답하였다.

온라인 협력학습 기반 집단지성 구축을 위한 교양수업 개발 (The Liberal Arts Education Class Development for Collective Intelligence Establishment Based on Online Collaborative Learning)

  • 본 연구는 기존의 인문학 관련 강좌의 단점을 극복하고자 온라인 협력학습을 기반으로 한, 클라우드 기반수업 환경에서 고전읽기, 토론, 외국어교육을 통합한 교육 모델을 제시하였다. 교육적 효과를 극대화할 수 있는 방안의 사회적 요구와 이 과정에서 도출될 수 있는 '집단지성'의 구축은 학제 간 상호발전을 위해 반드시 필요하며, 이를 실현할 새로운 대학수업 개발의 필요에서 출발하였다. 그러므로 실제 적용 가능한 모델의 제시는 집단지성 구축과 이를 기반으로 한 교육 효과를 확장할 수 있을 것이다. 그 효과를 세 가지 측면으로 제시하였다: 1) 개인의 지성이 집단지성으로 전환될 수 있는 학습 환경을 제공할 수 있다. 2) 학습자들의 고전에 대한 지적 탐구심과 사고내용에 대한 교수자-학습자, 학습자-학습자간의 피드백을 요구하는 능동적 토론 참여를 이끌어 낼 수 있다. 3) 클라우드 기반 온라인 협력학습 환경은 정의적 부담을 낮춰주고 오프라인의 제한적 데이터 제공의 단점을 극복하게 할 수 있다. 그러므로 온라인 협력학습 기반 집단지성 구축을 위한 교육은 인문학을 중심으로 한 영어교육과 토론교육은 물론 교육 전반에 걸쳐 긍정적 결과 도출을 이끌어 낼 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

실시간 화상 한국어 교육과정 개발을 위한 기초 연구 -사이버 대학교에 재학 중인 여성결혼이민자를 중심으로- (A basic study to develop Realtime video Korean curriculum: Focusing on female-marriage immigrants in Cyber University)

  • The aim of this study is to design a Real-time video Korean curriculum. Curriculum using real-time video, which is a variant of distance learning, teaches Korean to students studying in distant places through real-time video communication program. This is expected to supplement the lack of interaction in existing video classes and enable online simultaneous interaction, while increasing learning opportunities for Korean language students living in distance places. To find out the needs of the subjects for the curriculum design, this study conducted a one-on-one interview with 9 female married immigrants who are enrolled in the Cyber University which is opening a curriculum later. According to the survey, the students answered that they have a high intention of attending classes if the lack of interaction in existing distance classes are supplemented. Therefore, we could confirm the demand of a curriculum consisting of an overall real-time video education and multilateral individual connection. Also, we found out that there is a demand in performance rather than comprehension and a high demand for detailed feedback from the teacher. The result shows that the curriculum needs to establish performance-oriented contents to progress to an advanced level Korean Language, and include a study plain comprising of real-time interaction.

딥 러닝을 이용한 자동 댓글 생성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Automatic Comment Generation Using Deep Learning)

  • 최근 다수의 분야에서 딥 러닝을 통한 연구 성과들이 사람의 판단력에 근접하는 결과를 보여주고 있다. 그리고 게임 산업에서는 온라인 커뮤니티, SNS의 활성화가 게임 흥행 여부를 결정할 정도로 중요성이 높아지고 있다. 본 연구는 딥 러닝을 이용해 온라인 커뮤니티, SNS에서 활동할 수 있는 시스템을 구성하고, 온라인 공간에서 사람들이 작성한 텍스트를 읽고 그에 대한 반응을 생성하고 스케쥴에 따라 트위터에 올리는 것을 목표로 한다. 순환 신경망(Recurrent Neural Network)을 이용해 텍스트를 생성하고 글 작성 스케쥴을 생성하는 모델들을 구성했고, 생성한 시각에 맞춰 모델들에 뉴스 제목을 입력해 댓글을 출력 받고 트위터에 작성하는 프로그램을 구현했다. 본 연구결과는 온라인 게임 커뮤니티 활성화, Q&A 서비스 등에 적용이 가능할 것으로 예상된다.

Language Matters: A Systemic Functional Linguistics-Enhanced Machine Learning Framework for Cyberbullying Detection

  • Cyberbullying is a growing problem among adolescents and can have serious psychological and emotional consequences for the victims. In recent years, machine learning techniques have emerged as promising approach for detecting instances of cyberbullying in online communication. This research paper focuses on developing a machine learning models that are able to detect cyberbullying including support vector machines, naïve bayes, and random forests. The study uses a dataset of real-world examples of cyberbullying collected from Twitter and extracts features that represents the ideational metafunction, then evaluates the performance of each algorithm before and after considering the theory of systemic functional linguistics in terms of precision, recall, and F1-score. The result indicates that all three algorithms are effective at detecting cyberbullying with 92% for naïve bayes and an accuracy of 93% for both SVM and random forests. However, the study also highlights the challenges of accurately detecting cyberbullying, particularly given the nuanced and context-dependent nature of online communication. This paper concludes by discussing the implications of these findings for future research and the development of practical tool for cyberbullying prevention and intervention.

중국어 읽기 수업 환경 개선을 위한 제안: 블렌디드 러닝을 중심으로 (Some Suggestions for Improving Environment of Chinese Reading Class: Focused on Blended Learing)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine and apply Blended Learning to Chinese reading class and give some suggestions for Chinese reading class for realizing the interactive model for reading. For learner's improvement in Chinese reading level, various teaching methods need to be applied to Chinese reading class. Among teaching methods, this article tried to apply Blened Learning in terms of interaction, because Blended Learning can follow the general trend that all of people use laptop, smartphone, etc., and also can be contribution to reading as performance in foreign language learning. As a result, Blended Learning can make learner prepare class for giving online contents, and can make teacher and learner have more chances of interaction in class for improving reading competence.

Web-Based Question Bank System using Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing

  • Due to the impacts of the current pandemic COVID-19 and the continuation of studying online. There is an urgent need for an effective and efficient education platform to help with the continuity of studying online. Therefore, the question bank system (QB) is introduced. The QB system is designed as a website to create a single platform used by faculty members in universities to generate questions and store them in a bank of questions. In addition to allowing them to add two types of questions, to help the lecturer create exams and present the results of the students to them. For the implementation, two languages were combined which are PHP and Python to generate questions by using Artificial Intelligence (AI). These questions are stored in a single database, and then these questions could be viewed and included in exams smoothly and without complexity. This paper aims to help the faculty members to reduce time and efforts by using the Question Bank System by using AI and Natural Language Processing (NLP) to extract and generate questions from given text. In addition to the tools used to create this function such as NLTK and TextBlob.

Using topic modeling-based network visualization and generative AI in online discussions, how learners' perception of usability affects their reflection on feedback

  • This study aims to analyze the impact of learners' usability perceptions of topic modeling-based visual feedback and generative AI interpretation on reflection levels in online discussions. To achieve this, we asked 17 students in the Department of Korean language education to conduct an online discussion. Text data generated from online discussions were analyzed using LDA topic modeling to extract five clusters of related words, or topics. These topics were then visualized in a network format, and interpretive feedback was constructed through generative AI. The feedback was presented on a website and rated highly for usability, with learners valuing its information usefulness. Furthermore, an analysis using the non-parametric Mann-Whitney U test based on levels of usability perception revealed that the group with higher perceived usability demonstrated higher levels of reflection. This suggests that well-designed and user-friendly visual feedback can significantly promote deeper reflection and engagement in online discussions. The integration of topic modeling and generative AI can enhance visual feedback in online discussions, reinforcing the efficacy of such feedback in learning. The research highlights the educational significance of these design strategies and clears a path for innovation.
