Due to the expansion of non-face-to-face services, the demand for user identification for mobile devices is increasing. Recently, mobile resident registration cards, mobile driver's licenses, etc. are installed in mobile phones and used for user identification and authentication services. In order to identify a user online, unique identification information of the online user is required. In particular, in order to provide information only to online users, it is necessary to accurately deliver information to a mobile device owned by the user. To make this service possible, it was realized with the advent of mobile electronic notice service. However, the identification of online service users and information on mobile devices owned or subscribed by the relevant users require safe management as personal information, and it is also necessary to increase the convenience of online service users. In this paper, we propose an operating standard for providing a mobile electronic notice service that sends electronic notice using a mobile device owned by the user. The mobile electronic notice service is a service that provides notices expressed in electronic information to the recipient's cell phone, mobile app, e-mail, etc. Therefore, as the use of mobile electronic notification service increases and the provision and use of connecting information to identify users increases, it is necessary to expand the mobile electronic notification service while safely protecting users' personal information.

With the deployment of web-based educational game over the internet, the user's registration becomes a critical element. The user is authenticated by the system using username, password, and unique code. However, it cannot be handled properly because the data is transmitted through insecure channel on the network. Hence, security requirement is needed to avoid identity leakage from malicious user. In this paper, we propose a secure communication approach using SSL protocol for an online game. We also describe the security requirements for our approach. In future work, we intend to configure and implement the SSL protocol by enabling HTTPS in web-based online game.

This paper introduces an online collaboration infrastructure in order to build a nationwide collaboration ecosystem in research and education areas. The proposed infrastructure involves domestic research institutes, education institutions and related commercial service vendors. It also includes various systems and services which can promote their online collaboration. Especially it provides the user authentication framework based on identity federation which facilitates the share of various ICT resources across different organizations, thereby enabling the efficient R&D collaboration. We deploy and validate the user authentication framework of the infrastructure on KREONET.

Along with the recent worldwide development of fintech, FIDO (Fast IDentity Online) using biometric technology is rapidly growing in the mobile payment market, replacing the existing password system. This FIDO authentication must be processed in a reliable environment that requires high level of security, as sensitive biometrics is being processed. However, this environment is currently dependent on the manufacturer as it is supported by certain hardware on the smartphone. Therefore, this thesis proposes a server-based authentication model using distributed management of compliance based biometric information that can be used universally safely without the need for specific hardware in mobile environments.

The national accredited certificate is a user certificate issued based on the user's personal information, which has been identified in advance, and has become a universal authentication method used for most electronic financial transactions and user authentication. And it contributed a lot to the use of e-government and domestic service. However, due to the lack of web standards on how to use, it was inconvenient to install a separate plug-in, and efforts to improve it have been continued. In this paper, we attempt to solve the problem of certificate usage environment by presenting the certificate digital signature method using the extension of the FIDO2 (Fast Identity Online v2) client to authentication protocol (CTAP) specification.

The environment of the Internet provides an efficient communication of the things which are connected. While internet and online service provide us many valuable benefits, online services offered and accessed remotely through internet also exposes us to many different types of security threats. Most security threats were just related to information leakage and the loss of authentication on client-server environment. In 2016, Ahmed et al. proposed an efficient lightweight remote user authentication protocol. However, Kang et al. show that it's scheme still unstable and inefficient. It cannot resist offline identity guessing attack and cannot provide session key confirmation property. Moreover, there is some risk of biometric information's recognition error. In this paper, we propose an improved scheme to overcome these security weaknesses by storing secret data in device. In addition, our proposed scheme should provide not only security, but also efficiency since we only use hash function and XOR operation.

In this study, we examine the components and characteristics of channel brands, the renewal process of channel brands, and the competitiveness of SBS Subusu News and MBC 14F, online channels of Korea's leading terrestrial broadcasting company. We conducted in-depth interviews with staffs YouTube news channels such as Subusu News and 14F. First, examining the brand components and characteristics of SBS's Subusu News and MBC's 14F vertical channel, Subs News maintained its direction through the renewal of the logo type, graphic characterization, emoticon production, and campaign design production. 14F focused on brand renewal of the logo type and modification of thumbnail design to reveal the identity of the channel brand. Subusu News and 14F have achieved success through a spin-off approach that considers content relevance, expanding their brand extension. As a result of analyzing the competitiveness of the channel brand, Subusu News maintained its identity as a combination of B-class sensibility and journalism, while 14F positioned itself as a channel that delivers useful information content.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to explore the major factors affecting the development of national identity of the Millennial Korean diasporas in the CIS countries that have rarely been explored in previous studies. In particular, this study examines how perceived identities have changed due to social, cultural, and other environmental changes and suggests policy considerations accordingly. Research design, data, and methodology: This study collected data via online survey. Factor and regression analyses were applied for data analysis. Results: The findings of this study suggest a set of factors that is different from the factors generally known to affect the diasporic identities of diasporas. The results of this study provide policy implications to help them construct identities that could more positively define their diasporic lives and relationship with homeland. Conclusions: The factors of direct experiences, such as relationship with host societies and homeland experience, exhibited strong relationship with national identity and life satisfaction of the Millennial Korean diasporas in the CIS countries. The unique characteristics of the Millennials and the long history of separation from homeland showed different results. The results of this study suggest policy considerations in regard to the Millennial diasporas in the CIS countries.

This study examined the effects of perceived discrimination on multicultural adolescents regarding feelings of conflict over their ethnic identity by investigating the moderating role of father-child open communication and mother-child open communication mediated by bicultural competence. A total of 234 middle school students (grades 7-8; 139 girls and 95 boys) from multicultural families, from which the father is Korean and the mother is not, participated in the study. Data was collected through an online self-report questionnaire and was analyzed via SPSS 26.0 and Process (Version 4.1) MACRO. The results can be summarized as follows. First, bicultural competence mediated the effects of perceived discrimination on feelings of conflict over one's ethnic identity. Enhanced bicultural competence resulting from a lower perception of discrimination contributed to a reduction in feelings of conflict over one's ethnic identity. Second, the moderated mediation effect of fatherchild open communication was significant, while the effect of mother-child open communication was not. Thus, the mediation relationship (lower perceived discrimination increased bicultural competence and, thus, reduced conflict over one's ethnic identity) grew stronger as the level of father-child open communication increased. The significance of this study lies in uncovering the causal relationships between individual and environmental factors that contribute to ethnic identity development among multicultural adolescents, particularly highlighting the important role of Korean fathers within multicultural households.

The objective of this study was to conduct a 'Theory of Home Economics Education' class using online problem-based learning(PBL) for prospective home economics(HE) teachers. The aim was to enable teachers to analyze the learning experience in the classroom, and to prepare operational strategies for online PBL on this basis. In order to achieve this, online PBL was applied to 31 students participating in the 'Theory of Home Economics Education' at the Department of HE in a university in Seoul, and the results were collected from the learning process. This also involved a reflective journal, a survey on the learning experience and the impacts was conducted. Moreover, analysis was undertaken on the learning activities, learning difficulties, and improvements. The main research results are as follows. Firstly, students accessed Webex, an online video conferencing program, and performed two PBL tasks: 'Making Home Economics Promotion Materials' and 'Presenting Teaching Strategies to Improve Learner's Immersion in Online Classes'. Secondly, learners established their own identity of HE learned about the HE class plans themselves. They also encountered realistic experience as HE teachers and learned communication and collaboration skills. Furthermore, they acquired creative problem-solving and self-directed learning ability, community consciousness, as well as the attitude of consideration and respect. Thirdly, students lacked knowledge of learning content and encountered difficulty in solving data research, analysis processes, and unstructured problems. They were affected by a lack of time and encountered problem in communicating with other team members in an online environment. As an improvement in online class operation, it was considrered necessary to reduce the learning burden by securing time and reducing the number of assignments, as well as to explain active interaction with instructors and PBL.
