본 연구는 초등학교 학생들이 학습하는 온라인 영어 학습 프로그램 콘텐츠의 효과성을 탐색하였다. 온라인 영어 학습 콘텐츠 연구를 위해 경기도교육청에 의해 학교로 사용권장된 프로그램을 사용하였다. 연구대상은 경기도 K 시 소재 P 초등학교 107명의 학생들로 약 1년간의 학습 후에 온라인 학습 콘텐츠 효과성에 관한 설문에 응답하였다. 학생들의 응답은 Spearman 상관분석방법으로 재학학년, 온라인 학습시간 및 진단평가 성적과 온라인 영어 학습 프로그램 콘텐츠 간의 연관성을 분석하였다. 분석한 결과, 학년이 높고 영어 학업수준이 높은 학생일수록 문제해결형, 과제수행형과 WBI(웹기반)형의 콘텐츠는 효과적이지 않다고 생각하는 것으로 드러났다. 반면에, 온라인 학습시간이 긴 저학년학생일수록 개인 지도형, 스토리활용형과 애니메이션유형의 온라인 학습 콘텐츠가 효과적이라고 답했다. 따라서 본 연구는 온라인 영어 학습 콘텐츠의 개발에 있어서, 학생의 학년과 학습시간, 학업수준 등과 같은 학생의 특성을 고려할 필요가 있음을 제언하는 바이다.

The development of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) has changed the manner in which English teachers are taught as instructors, as well as English language learners. Online-related technology, a product of development of ICT technology, is used for various purposes such as training teachers and enhancing professionalism of current teachers to practice more efficient training. The purpose of this study is to extract common domains and sub-domains related to development of cyber-type in-service training (INSET) through domestic and international case analyses and to develop content areas of INSET using cyberspace or efficient online INSET programs. To accomplish the purpose of this study, domestic and foreign cases were analyzed in relation to direction of development of online English teacher training programs.

The objective of this study was to investigate factors that could bring about successful implementation of extensive reading using online/offline blended English library system called 'Reading Gate' in primary and secondary schools. Although there are a great number of studies on effects of various extensive reading on linguistic, cognitive, and affective development, few studies have investigated how extensive reading programs can be implemented at large scale, e.g., whole school level. After analyzing students' reading levels in 200 schools using the same online extensive reading program called Reading Gate, results showed that while some schools were successful, others were not. Five primary and 13 middle schools were selected as successful schools. Data on implementation of the program of schools was gathered. Eighteen teachers and seven headteachers took part in the interview. After analyzing these data on the implementation of the extensive reading program, results revealed that the following five factors for successful implementation of blended extensive reading programs: online level-up system, teacher intervention, integration with the curriculum, school-level support, and parents' awareness of literacy. This suggests that each factor might have contributed to the successful implementation of the extensive reading program at large scale. Implications and applications of this finding are discussed in this study.

This study suggests an effective online guide for foreign teachers who want to teach English in Korean schools. When designing this guide for overseas applicants, there should be a consistent analysis to reflect the process of the system. Thus, this paper provides an analysis and results for an integrated online guide to increase the efficiency based on the pedagogical framework for analysis of the 'ADDIE' model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The number of job applicants who wish to teach English in Korea is growing rapidly because Korea is one of the fastest growing economies in the world and the 'Korean Wave' has especially been experiencing significant changes with the development of social network services and digital technologies. As a result, overseas applicants' expectations regarding Korea when they are seeking information and applying is very high, but the aspects of the procedure provided by the government are somewhat disappointing. The paper presents customer needs and specific recommendation for each step of the application process to improve the guide's effectiveness.

This research explored the impact the thoughts and opinions of lecturers teaching university general English courses have on their virtual classes and discussed the differences and similarities in their perspectives. As a research methodology, the Q-method was used, which usually consists of five steps: Q-population, Q-statements, Q-participants, Q-sorting, and factor analysis using PQMethod, a computer software program. A total of 30 statements were finally selected and 26 people directly involved in teaching online university general English courses were selected as participants in this study. Based on the results of the factor analysis, this research discovered three different factors, which were interaction & content-oriented, online teaching favored, and content-oriented. The results of this study can contribute to developing the future directions of virtual university general English classes to help learners improve their English skills and prepare lecturers for the future.

The aim of this study was to explore the use of Google Classroom as a learning management system for College English. The study targeted 34 university students. They took part in various activities, such as writing reactions to video lectures, peer-editing essays, and recording video presentations, et cetera. For the study, a t-test was conducted to evaluate the English development of the students. The two essays that each student wrote were used as the data sources. The result (t=-5.854, p=.000) indicated an improvement in their English writing proficiency. In addition, a survey was conducted to gather students' feedback regarding their perceptions towards the course. The study covered five aspects of their experience: Google Classroom, language development, Quizlet, classroom experience, and essay-writing experience. From the results, students indicated a positive response to the program. The use of Google Classroom in an online learning setting accomplishes two things; it helped the students in the development of their English proficiency, and provided activities that students find interesting, which in turn stimulates their self-learning spirit.

본 연구는 온라인 게임의 치팅 프로그램에 나타난 플레이어의 욕망을 르네 지라르의 모방 욕망 이론을 통해 규명하는 데 목적을 둔다. 치팅 프로그램은 게임에 참여하는 플레이어들이 갖춰야 할 유희적 태도를 부정하며 게임의 매직 서클을 교란한다. 분석 결과, 치팅 플레이어들의 욕망은 게임의 규칙이 상정한 가상의 '모델 플레이어'를 통해 매개된다. 둘은 내적 매개의 관계를 이루기에, 치팅 플레이어가 이상적 플레이를 모방하는 과정은 끊임없는 대립과 갈등을 야기한다. 기술의 도움을 통해 향상된 플레이어로서의 자신을 꿈꾸지만 게임이 지닌 실패의 미학을 무너뜨린다는 점에서 치팅 플레이어들의 욕망은 트랜스휴먼을 향한 그릇된 욕망으로 정의된다.

본 연구는 한국 영어교육 상황에 정보통신기술을 활용하는 것의 효율성을 입증하는 것이 목표이다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해서 본 연구는 2015년 봄 학기 동안에 진행된 남서울-와세다대학교 문화간원거리수업의 자료를 토대로 이루어졌다. 이 프로젝트는 한국의 N대학교와 일본의 W대학교 간의 문화간원거리수업으로서, 이 프로젝트의 가장 중요한 점은 정보통신기술을 활용하여 한국과 일본 사이의 수업을 진행하였다는 점이다. 이 연구 논문은 두 부분으로 구성되어 있는데, 첫 번째 부분은 문화간원거리수업을 소개하는 것인데, 참여자의 정보, 프로그램의 내용과 절차를 소개한다. 두 번째 부분은 이 프로젝트와 영어교육상황에 정보통신기술을 활용하는 방안의 효율성에 대한 학습자들의 만족도를 제시하는 것이다. 설문조사 결과는 이 프로젝트에 참여한 학습자들의 대부분은 문화간원거리수업 프로젝트에 만족하며 영어교육 상황에 정보통신기술을 활용하는 것은 영어교육에 매우 효과적이라는 사실에 동의하는 것을 입증하였다.

본 연구의 목적은 교육대학과 일반대학 사범대에 재학 중인 대학생을 대상으로 온라인 영어수업에 대한 수업만족도를 비교·분석하며 집단 간 만족도 항목에 따른 통계적 유의미한 차이가 있는지를 검증하는 것이다. 또한 이를 토대로 온라인 영어 수업의 효율성 제고를 위한 제언을 하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 2020년 1학기에 온라인 영어 과목을 수강한 교육대학 재학생 54명과 일반대학 사범대 재학생 50명이 연구에 참여하였다. 연구도구로는 온라인 설문지가 활용되었으며 본 연구 주제와 관련된 선행연구를 기초로 5개 항목 50문항의 설문이 제작되어 배포되었다. 수업 만족도의 하부요인은 학습 내용/운영, 학습결과, 수업환경, 학습지원, 효과성으로 분류하였으며 자료 분석은 통계적 유의수준을 .05%로 하여 기술통계와 독립표본 t검정을 실시하였다. 설문결과를 토대로 분석한 내용을 정리 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 온라인 영어 수업을 수강한 교육대학 재학생과 일반대학 사범대 재학생의 수업만족도에 대한 조사 결과 전체 만족도는 일반대학의 평균값이 교육대학에 비해 조금 높은 것으로 나타났다. 다만 두 집단 간 수업만족도에 대한 독립표본 t검정결과 통계적으로 유의미한 값을 보이지는 않았다. 둘째, 수업만족도의 하위요인별 두 집단 간의 차이를 파악하기 위해 독립표본 t검정을 실시한 결과 하위요인 5개 가운데 수업환경, 학습지원, 효과면에 있어서 두 집단 간 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있음을 확인하였다.
