본(本) 연구(硏究)에서는 국내(國內) 데이터베이스 산업(産業)의 육성방안(育成方案)을 모색하기 위하여 데이터베이스의 정의(定義), 분류(分類) 및 그 산업구조(産業構造)를 제시하였으며, 세계(世界) 및 국내(國內)의 데이터베이스 발달과정(發達過程)과 산업현황(産業現況)을 살펴본 후 국내(國內) 데이터베이스 산업(産業)의 문제점(問題點)을 지적하고, 그 육성방안(育成方案)을 제안하였다.

The Purpose of this study is to verify the effect of the searcher's subject background on the result of online database searches. To achieve this purpose, an experimental method was adopted. 180 students performed online searches in the three different libraries chosen for this study. The subjects were classified into two groups according to the scores of the test. Data concerning processes, behavior, and results of the searches performed by the subjects in real situations were gathered. Immediately following the searches, the extent of their subject background were assessed through interview. The search effect consists of the 4 elements： search efficiency (the number of terms used per unit time), the number of relevant documents, the number of relevant documents per unit time, precision ratio. The major findings of this study are summarized as belows. 1. The searchers with strong subject background has significantly higher efficiency in searches made. Group A (of those with strong subject back-ground) use more search terms per unit time than Group B (of those with weak subject background) do. 2. In the searches made by those with strong subject background, more relevant documents art retrieved. 3. In the searches made by those with strong subject background, more relevant documents per unit time are retrieved. 4. The searchers with strong subject background has significantly higher precision ratio in searches made. In the searches made by those with strong subject background, more relevant documents of documents retrieved are retrieved.

본 연구의 목적은 ISO와 ANSI/NISO의 시소러스 작성지침을 참고하여 문헌정보학분야 시소러스를 하이퍼텍스트를 이용하여 선형배열로 웹 상에 설계해 보는데 있다. 본 연구는 하이퍼텍스트를 이용한 온라인 시소러스가 정보를 저장하고 탐색하는 사람들에게 편리하고 유용한 주제접근의 도구가 되며, 인쇄형 시소러스로는 파악하기 어려운 이용자의 시소러스 탐색유형을 연구하는 기초가 될 수 있을 것이라는 가정에서 출발하였다. 본 연구를 위해서 문헌정보학 분야 시소러스를 관계형 데이터베이스인 MS ACCESS 97에 저장하였고 관계형 데이터베이스와 웹과의 연동을 위해서 Windows NT운영체재 하에서 ASP(Active Server Pages)기술을 적용하였다.

Although people's anxiety about the environmental problem has been getting higher, they are not provided good quality of knowledge about the environment. Based on this situation, Ecoblog can be a new type of online community to educate the public in ecological knowledge. Especially, Ecoblog can be utilized as a method of "preventive education", and it will contribute to reduce great amounts of environmental budget to restore contaminated environment to previous condition. Ecoblog also utilizes the concept of blog which user can create and append their site with chosen themes. A weblog or a blog is a non-commercial webpage regularly updated through the use of a blogging software which allows the user to "publish" kinds of amalgamations of text and graphics to the page as posts. The technology offered in Ecoblog is utilizing the concept of 4D place and game metaphor in order to provide users the sense of participation, interaction and immersion among them and the growing community. Thus, it requires applying the CAAD technology by implementing semantically well-defined building data model as a core database to create a 4D virtual community. This research focuses on defining a 4d spatial framework suitable for developing an online ecological community. Through our study, the state-of-the-art of online community has been studied at the first step. Second, the scenario of using EcoBlog described with content, visualization and navigation are defined based on the critical features derived at the first step. Finally, a 4d spatial framework composed of semantic building data model, content and rule database is constructed to propose factors that are necessary to establish an ecological virtual community. In conclusion, our framework could enhance the comprehension and interaction between users and virtual buildings in the ecological community by integrating the concept of game design, 4D CAD and semantic data model. Such framework can be applied to any online community for an educational purpose.

정보화사회의 도래, 기관 고유기능의 전문화, 다양화와 함께 과학기술분야 관련기관들은 독립적으로 전문도서를 비롯한 각종 정보자료를 수집하며, 관리/운영하고 있다. 그러나 수집되는 정보량이 연구개발사업 지원에 크게 부족한 것은 차치하더라도 그나마 수집된 정보의 공동활용상 난제는 상존하고 있다. 이에 과학기술정보유통을 위한 첫단계 사업으로 제시된 과학기술종합도서관 사업을 시발로 연구단지내 각 기관에 분산, 소장된 도서정보자료의 공동활용을 위한 표준화, 집중화 사업이 시행되었으며, 본 사업의 성공적 사례를 바탕으로 수행된 연구단지정보관리협의회 소속기관에서 소장하고 있는 서양서 단행본 데이타베이스 구축 1단계 사업도 완료된 바 지금까지 축적된 종합목록 데이타베이스 구축기술을 소개하고 온라인 공동편목을 포함한 공동활용체제를 위한 발전방향을 언급함으로써 향후 우리나라에서 구축될 각종 종합목록 데이타베이스를 위한 한가지 지침으로 제시하였다.

Drug delivery systems (DDS) have entered mainstream in the pharmaceutical industry in the recent years. Major pharmaceutical companies as well as small or medium-sized biotechnology companies are developing various DDS-based products. We have established Drug Delivery System Company Database, which is an online searchable database of companies that develop DDS-based products and technologies or supply formulations and/or materials. Company summary, products and key technologies are listed in the database. DDS technology fields also include administration routes and indications of drugs. DDS terminologies, Statistical analysis, Useful Links, Glossary and Comments pages are also provided.

본 연구는 과학기술분야 해외 온라인 데이터베이스의 현황을 평가하고 조사한 것이다. 데이터베이스에 대한 평가는 과학기술정보 이용자나 정보 제공자에게 매우 중요한 과제로 인식되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 우선적으로 데이터베이스 평가에 대한 선행 연구를 간략하게 요약하였다. 그리고 현재 이용 가능한 해외 온라인 데이터베이스 618종을 대상으로 주제분야별, 발행처별, 갱신주기별, 온라인 이용방법별로 분석하였다. 또한 과학기술분야별로 주요한 온라인 데이터베이스를 간략하게 소개하였다.

Heart Failure represents a critical pathological case that is challenging to predict and discover at an early age, with a notable increase in morbidity and mortality. Machine Learning and Neural Network techniques play a crucial role in predicting heart attacks, diseases and more. These techniques give valuable perspectives for clinicians who may then adjust their diagnosis for each individual patient. This paper evaluated neural network models for heart attacks predictions. Several online learning methods were investigated to automatically and accurately predict heart attacks. The UCI dataset was used in this work to train and evaluate First Order and Second Order Online Learning methods; namely Backpropagation, Delta bar Delta, Levenberg Marquardt and QuickProp learning methods. An optimizer technique was also used to minimize the random noise in the database. A regularization concept was employed to further improve the generalization of the model. Results show that a three layers' NN model with a Backpropagation algorithm and Nadam optimizer achieved a promising accuracy for the heart attach prediction tasks.
