A panorama image is constructed by merging several overlapped images to a big one. There are two kinds of methods, feature based and direct method, in the construction. Feature based one has a merit of processing speed faster than direct one. But, it is difficult to be implemented under slower processing environments such as mobile device. This paper proposed high speed construction method of a panorama image. The algorithm extremely improved matching speed by reducing the number of matching parameters using scene shot guider, and additionally adapted local matching technique to reduce matching error caused by the fewer matching parameters. In the experiments, it was shown that the proposed method required about 0.078 second in processing time, about 17 times shorter than the feature based one, for 24-bit color images of $320{\times}240$ size.

In the field of defense, one-shot devices such as missiles are stored for a long period of time after they are manufactured, so it is essential to predict their storage life. A study was conducted to find the shelf life of a Li-ion battery used in one-shot devices. To do this, a Li-ion battery that has been used in weapon systems for more than 5 years was secured. A non-functional test was performed on the battery to check for external changes or failures. After the non-functional test, a discharge test was performed to measure the performance after storing it. Through the test, the performance was checked, including the initial charging voltage, discharge time, and battery temperature, and the trend of the change was identified. An F-test, One-way ANOVA, and regression analysis were performed to verify the aging, and the shelf life of the battery was estimated by an approximation formula that was derived through a regression analysis. As a result of the ANOVA, the p-value was less than the reference value of 0.05, and the performance of the battery decreased by more than 15% after a certain period of time. This change is assumed to result from the change in physical properties of the lithium polymer cell.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to find out that the statistical method of stockpile reliability of ammunition by items can be applied to the reliability assessment of stockpile ammunition. Methods: We reviewed the statistical method of stockpile reliability of ammunition by items and verified the possibility of its application by case study. Results: We found that the statistical method of stockpile reliability of ammunition by items is very useful and effective to present the reliability of ammunition based on each item and to predict the change of the reliability in the future. The reliability of proximity fuse was about 94.5% and was influenced by manufacture's year and the difference between lot and lot more than storage period. Conclusion: The statistical method of stockpile reliability of ammunition by items can be applied to the reliability assessment of various stockpile ammunitions such as ammunition for mortar and canon.

This paper proposes a new technique for improving the efficiency of single phase high frequency switch mode boost converter. This converter includes an additional boost converter that follows the main hish frequency switching device. The additional converter, which is controlled at lower frequencies, bypasses almost all the current in the main switch and the high frequency switching loss is greatly reduced. Both switching devices are controlled by a simple method; each controller consists of a one-shot multivibrator, a comparator and an AND gate, and the maximum switching frequency can be limited without any clock generator. The converter works cooperatively in high efficiency and acts as though it were a conventional high frequency switch mode converter with one switching device. This paper describes the proposed converter configuration, design, and discusses the steady state performance concerning the switching loss reduction and efficiency improvement. and the proposed method is verified by computer simulation.
We introduce the application that automatically makes several images stored in user's device into one video by using the different climax patterns appearing for each film genre. For the classification of the genre characteristics of movies, a climax pattern model style was created by analyzing the genre of domestic movie drama, action, horror and foreign movie drama, action, and horror. The climax pattern was characterized by the change in shot size, the length of the shot, and the frequency of insert use in a specific scene part of the movie, and the result was visualized. The model visualized by genre developed as a template using Firebase DB. Images stored in the user's device were selected and matched with the climax pattern model developed as a template for each genre. Although it is a short video, it is a feature of the proposed application that it can create an emotional story video that reflects the characteristics of the genre. Recently, platform operators such as YouTube and Naver are upgrading applications that automatically generate video using a picture or video taken by the user directly with a smartphone. However, applications that have genre characteristics like movies or include video-generation technology to show stories are still insufficient. It is predicted that the proposed automatic video editing has the potential to develop into a video editing application capable of transmitting emotions.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to provide a statistical method from the data of ASRP's results and to apply to the reliability assessment of 155mm propelling charge, KM4A2. Methods: The accumulated data through ASRP for 155mm propelling charge were analyzed using regression analysis and MINITAB reliability analysis. The analysis methods used for this study were applied to statistical data types such as continuous data, binominal data. Results: The results of this study are as follows; The failure of 155mm propelling charge is mainly due to the broken charge bag, the decline of stabilizer content. The shelf-life(B5) regarding broken charge bag is 21.1years. The stabilizer content decrease with 0.0227%/year and safety storage period of propellant is 34.6years. Conclusion: The shelf-life of 155mm propelling charge determined by charge bag is estimated 21.1years.

A delay system in fuze for high explosive shell is an important safety device, but failure in the delay system usually causes failure of the shell. Root-cause analysis of failure in the delay system is required since failure in over 10-years stored delay system recently occurs. In this paper, failure in the delay system was reproduced experimentally to examine aged characteristics of the delay system, and the failed delay system shows the same characteristics as ones of failed delay systems in field. Based on the reproduced experiments, accelerated life testings and the data analysis of failure times of delay systems were performed to predict the storage lifetime.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to estimate shelf life of fuze MTSQ (Mechanical Time & Super Quick) KM577A1 from Ammunition Stockpile Reliability Program (ASRP) data. Methods: For many years, ammunition test data had been gathered from ASRP. In this study, lot selection criteria and reliability score of functioning time for fuze are proposed. Reliability score of functioning time and failure data are used to estimate shelf life. Results: The results of this study are as follows; The failure modes of fuze MTSQ KM577A1 are dud, inverse function and mechanical time functioning failure (not operating in intended time). Dud and inverse function are major failure modes. Fuze MTSQ KM577A1's shelf life ($B_5$) is estimated 18.2 years conservatively. Conclusion: Degradation of chemical components in fuze MTSQ KM577A1 is major factor for its reliability. And shelf life ($B_5$) of fuze MTSQ KM577A1 is estimated 18.2 years conservatively.
A fuze detonator comprising star shells is an important device so that its failure usually leads to failure of the shells. In this paper, accelerated degradation tests of RD1333 (lead azide) using temperature stress were performed, and then degradation data of explosive power for the detonator were analyzed to predict the storage lifetime of detonator. Degradation data analysis to estimate the storage lifetime is based on a distribution-based degradation process. Statistical distribution parameters of explosive power degradation measures at each time were estimated for each temperature level, and then reliability of the detonator for each accelerated temperature level was estimated using both time-varying distribution parameters and critical level of explosive power. Arrhenius model was applied to estimate storage lifetime of the detonator under the field temperature condition. Accelerated distribution-based degradation analysis to estimate storage lifetime is explained in detail, and estimation results are compared to field data of storage lifetime in this paper.
Certified Missile Round Concepts that is one-shot device use the periodic inspection policy to improve the continuously deteriorated reliability. In this paper, we suggest dormant reliability prediction model by simulation with real operational environment. The suggested prediction model is based on optimal inspection period decision model and additionally considers various constraints; moving, inspection or repair service time. The simulation results show the constraints affect dormant reliability and missile availability. Lastly, we suggest building up a depot to resolve the above problems by the suggested simulation model.
