We propose a effectiveness of the assistant pad during cardiopulmonary resuscitation and provide basic data for high quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The subjects of the study were 28 students in the emergency department who completed the BLS Health Care-Provider under the experimental study by the randomized crossover design. Data were analyzed by using SPSS 20.0 Version. The results of this study showed that chest compressions using assistant pads decreased pain and fatigue than normal chest compressions, and the depth of chest compressions was deeper than normal depth. The results of this study shows that the use of assistant pads between the one hand and the other hand during cardiopulmonary resuscitation may increase accuracy and depth were improved. Therefore intensive indicator also improved. However, with regard to the use of assistant pads, further studies will be needed to identify the potential for clinical use.

In many people's minds, health promotion is simply a more modern term covering roughly the same field as disease prevention or life style related reduction of the risk factors of chronic disease. A review of the modern literature of health promotion make it clear that there is more to this term than what is involved in functioning as a synonym for disease prevention. Therefore, in order to reach a clear understanding of what health promotion is, this study suggest the concept of the health balance model. Health balance is represented in terms of an equilibrium between physical, social, and life-style-related health challenges on the one hand and health potential on the other hand. Thus, health promotion strategies encompasses both the reduction of health challenges and the strengthening of health potential. Many elements of reducing health challenge are mainly related to the regulation laws. Aspects of strengthening of health potential are related to activities of health center. Therefore, health promotion strategies at a community level should be included in regional health planning which is implemented by health center.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the subjective experiences of female college students about how they accept, resist, and interpret their gender identities and roles. The research data were autobiographic essays reflecting research participants' gender identities internalization process. Thirty essays were chosen, and carried by qualitative content analysis. It turned out that most of these female students were not blessed their birth among their family members only because of their sexes. On the one hand, these female students were restricted their behaviors by their sexes in their daily lives such as responsibility on household work, not permitting drinking, late returning home, and sexual behavior before marriage. On the other hand, they sometimes took advantage of their sexes for self-rationalization. But they were proud of the fact that they will be mothers someday. It seemed that motherhood was center for their female identity.

With a view to providing a unitary interpretation of a lexical item, even, this paper proposes that even be understood as a quantifier. To countenance this idea, the quantifier theories will be evaluated against the implicature accounts on the basis of conceptual and empirical evidence. With the help of Bach (1999), the quantifier theories of even are regarded as most viable and plausible. On the other hand, from among different quantifier approaches even will be viewed as a quasi-universal quantifier, which means that even is similar to the universal quantifier but still it is different from it. That is, even introduces a comparison set that is context-dependent and only the salient members of this comparison set will be taken into account when an even-sentence is to be uttered. This observation is based on the formal representation for a universal quantifier in general on the one hand and the truth-conditional contribution of even to the sentence containing it.

This paper presents a dual band circularly polarized microstrip patch antenna. The antenna consists of two corner truncated patches implemented in one plane and single feed point. The input signal is directly excited to the patch 2 and the patch 1 is fed from patch 2 by coupling between two patches. The antenna is operated at 900 MHz and 2.45 GHz bands and has the right hand circularly polarized radiation pattern at all. The measured gains of the antenna are 2.95 dBic at 900 MHz band and 4.6 dBic at 2.45 GHz band.

The customers demand of a good vehicle agility consists of a quick reaction of the vehicle with the actuation of the throttle pedal on one hand and a high comfort level of vibration and noise within the vehicle on the other hand, which means the reduction of disturbing side effects. In order to achieve a satisfactory compromise it is necessary to gain a deeper understanding of the complex, high dynamic vibrations system "vehicle / drive train". For several years the ika has been carrying out such detailed vehicle investigations and test bench measurements in addition to comprehensive CAE analysis for various research projects in partnership with different vehicle manufacturers.

In this paper, our study for the recognition of Hand-written Korean characters, Arabic numbers and alphabets by neural netwoks. This System extracts feature of character by using the MESH feature point of handwritten character, Arabic numbers and alphabets. To reduce the input image data, features are extracted from each input images. A MLP(multi-layer perceptron) with one hidden layer was trained with a modified BEP(back error propagation) algorithm. This method extracts feature sets of the characters directly from the scanner and can enhance computation speed without using the special preprocesses such as size normalization, smoothing, and thinning.

Companies of Build-to-Order(BTO) strive to achieve customer responsiveness and cost efficiency simultaneously. The success of BTO depends upon the high volume production based on product plat form and delayed differentiation principle on the one hand, and upon the rapid estimation of delivery and cost for the customer orders on the other hand. Expeditious processing of a specific order requires the rearrangement of production resources and the schedule, which results in increased cost. This paper describes a cost estimation method using activity-based costing depending on the schedule change caused by urgent customer orders.

A bucket-brigade is a way of transporting items where items are passed from one person to the next. The operation of the bucket brigade imitates the cooperative behavior of ants when brood, food or other resources are moved. Koo (2009) presented a bucket brigade-based assembly cell where each worker follows a simple rule: perform assembly operations on a product until the next worker downstream takes it over; then go back to the previous worker upstream to take over a new assembly job. In this way, the flow line is self-balanced without any predetermined job assignment. However, there are some productivity losses related to hand-off and blocking. This paper examines the hand-off and blocking losses and presents a new bucket brigade-based assembly cell where working areas for each assembler is restricted with the help of buffer interfaces. Simulation experiments are used to validate the performance of the new assembly system.

In this paper, with optimal normalized constants, the asymptotic expansions of the distribution and density of the normalized maxima from generalized Maxwell distribution are derived. For the distributional expansion, it shows that the convergence rate of the normalized maxima to the Gumbel extreme value distribution is proportional to 1/ log n. For the density expansion, on the one hand, the main result is applied to establish the convergence rate of the density of extreme to its limit. On the other hand, the main result is applied to obtain the asymptotic expansion of the moment of maximum.
