One bottle system was recently developed in order to simplify the clinical skills and save chair time after continuous improvements on dentin bonding agents. There has been many studies to measure the bond strength of one bottle systems but no actual work has been done on micromorphologic study of resin-dentin interdiffusion zone after one bottle system application. To evaluate the bonding patterns of various commercially available one bottle systems to dentin, observation of resin-dentin interdiffusion zone under TEM was performed. Caries-free human third molars within one month of extractions were chosen for the experiments. The molars were sectioned 1mm above the cementoenamel junction and got rid of the root portions. Crown portions of the teeth were sectioned parallel to occlusal surface so that dentin discs of 1mm in thickness were remained. 7 one bottle systems and 1 two bottle system were applied according to manufacturer's instructions and followings were the results. 1. In every experimental groups, cross bandings of collagen fiber were distinguishable and tight bon dings between the bonding agents and dentin were observed. 2. Hybrid layer was clearly observed in ONE-STEP$^{(R)}$, Prime & Bond$^{(R)}$ 2.1, Syntac$^{(R)}$ SC, MAC-BOND II groups but it was not clear in Single Bond, D-Liner Dual PLUS, ONE COAT BOND groups. 3. Electron-density of hybrid layer was uniform in pattern in MAC-BOND II, Prime & Bond$^{(R)}$ 2.1 groups but not so uniform in ONE-STEP$^{(R)}$ group. 4. Electron-dense amorphous phase in most superior layer of the resin-dentin interdiffusion zone was characteristically observed in Single Bond, Syntac$^{(R)}$ SC, ONE COAT BOND groups. It can be concluded that bondings between the dentin bonding agents and dentin can be various in pattern according to their chemical compositions and the condition during applications.

Glass bottle lightness index has been used as a guideline for the lightness of glass bottle. In this study, we developed a glass bottle lightness index (L) by modifying Emhart's lightness index. Domestic and foreign glass bottle products were collected in Korean market and classified into two groups, returnable bottle and one way glass bottle. Emptied glass bottle weight and volume were measured and written product's content volume were recorded to calculate the L value. Based on L value, 'acceptable' and 'optimum' criteria for design guideline of glass bottle were established for both returnable and one way glass bottles. Many of one way glass bottles failed to meet acceptable criteria (L=1.0), while returnable glass bottles mostly satisfied acceptable range (L=1.4). Few of one way glass bottles were even heavier than returnable glass bottles. Generally lightness index (L) of small size drink glass bottles (100 ml) were above 1.0, while these of juice glass bottles (180 ml) were close to acceptable criteria. Most foreign sauce glass bottles met the acceptable level, however most domestic souse glass bottles failed to satisfy acceptable criteria. A few foreign beer glass bottles satisfied optimum criteria, while most domestic beer glass bottles were acceptable level. Our results reveal that domestic glass bottles are mostly heavier than foreign glass bottles. In this paper, we suggest the use glass bottle lightness index as a design guideline for material resource reduction of glass bottle for Korean food and beverage industries.
This study was conducted to investigate to the effect of weaning food-feeding methods on Preschool-Children's food habit, food preference and iron nutritional status for the subjects of 337 children, aged 18-60 months attending day care centers in Suwon and Seoul area. It divided the subjects into two groups according to the weaning food-feeding methods during their weaning period. One group(spoon-group) was defied as one had used to spoon over two times a day for 5 months and the ohter group (bottle-group) as one had used to bottle over two times a day for 5 months in weaning periods. All of the data were analyzed based on the weaning food-feeding method, mainly using bottle or spoon during their weaning period. The study results are summarized as follows. 1) 44.2% of the mothers mostly used bottle and 46.6% of them mostly used bottle to feed weaning foods. Age difference between the two groups was not found. 2) The numbers of daily consumed foods were significantly more higher in the spoon-group than the bottle-group and the amount of daily milk consumption was more higher among bottle-group. 3) Both of food intake frequency and food preference scores of the spoon-group were significantly higher than food intake frequency and food preference scores the bottle-group. 4) Iron nutritional status assessed by Hb and Hct was low in general. Only 26-63% of the subjects at each monthly age were in normal range. The higher the children's age, the more were grouped in normal range, which was more evident among children of the bottle-group. 5) Mother's nutrition knowledge related to weaning was more higher among spoon-group than both-group. There results shows the importance of appropriate weaning food-feeding methods for Preschool-children's food habit, food preference and nutritional status especially iron nutritional status. Nutrition education for mothers with weaning aged children has to be stressed and related programs have to be intervened effectively.

One-bottle adhesive system was recently developed in order to simplify the clinical skills and save chair time after continuous improvements on dentin bonding agents. To test the shear bond strength of a new "one-bottle adhesive" system to bovine dentin various commercially available one-bottle adhesives(Prime & Bond $2.1^{(R)}$, One Coat $Bond^{(R)}$, Syntac $Sprint^{(R)}$, Single $Bond^{(R)}$) were included for comparison. And we observe the interfacial morphology by scanning electron microscope. The results were as follows; 1. Group II (One Coat $Bond^{(R)}$) showed higher shear bond strength than group I (Prime & Bond $2.1^{(R)}$), group III(Syntac $Sprint^{(R)}$), and group IV(Single $Bond^{(R)}$), but no statistically significant difference was founded between groups(p>.05). 2. Relating reverse-cone shape resin tags were observed in samples of all groups under SEM. We could observed hybrid layer, resin tag and many lateral branches in every group. But, we observed in group III rare lateral branched than other three groups, and discontinuous hybrid layer.
Shrink film is currently being used for plastic container lavels to avoid the use of glue. Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottle lavels also use shrink films in the same PET materials for easy recycling of PET bottles. An air layer is generated between the shrink film and PET bottle surface due to the bent shape of the bottle surface. This air layer can insulate external heat, as air has a relatively lower thermal conductivity. In this study, the insulation property of the air layer was examined by computer simulation. Two PET bottle models were used, one with and the other without an air layer between the PET bottle surface and lavel. The two bottle models were filled with cold liquid and exposed to room temperature for 6 h, and the temperatures of the contents were then compared. The results showed that the temperature of the contents in the bottle with the air layer was lower than that without the air layer by at least $2^{\circ}C$. This study suggests an effective lavel design of PET bottles while ensuring that the temperature of the bottle contents is maintained.

To test the shear bond strength of a new "one-bottle adhesive" system to primary dentin two commercially available one-bottle adhesives (Prime & Bond NT, Single bond) and conventional three step system(Scotchbond Multi-Purpose Plus) were included for comparison. And We observe the interfacial morphology by scanning electron microscope. 90 primary molar teeth were embedded in acrylic and buccal and lingual surface were polished to 320 grit to create standardized dentin surface for testing. After bonding of composite resin to sample surfaces according to the manufacturer s direction and 1000 times thermocycling in dwell time 30 second, Shear bond strengths of adhesives to dentin were determined using universal testing machine and analyzed by ANOVA test. Another groups of specimens were treated by hydrochloric acid to secure the resin only and those tags were evaluated under SEM for their length and forms and the morphology of the bonding sites were also observed. The result are as follows. 1. Group I(Prime & Bond NT) showed higher shear bond strength than group iI(Single Bond) and III(Scotchbond Multi Purpose Plus) but no statistically significant difference was founded between groups(p>.05). 2. Relating long resin tags of $70-120{\mu}m$ were observed in samples of all groups under SEM. We could observed hybrid layer, resin tag and many lateral branches in every group. But, we observed in group III rare lateral branched than other two group and discontinuous hybrid layer.
The purpose of this study was to develop a multipurpose incubator, without the gas cylinders (bottles) which are required for $H_2$ and $CO_2$ supplementation. In our bottle-free multipurpose incubator, the $H_2$ and $CO_2$ were generated by chemical reactions induced within the chamber. The reaction between sodium borohydride and acetic acid at a molar ratio of 1:1 was used to generate $H_2$, according to the following formula: $4NaBH_4+2CH_3COOH+7H_2O{\rightarrow} 2CH_3COONa+Na_2B_4O_7+16H_2$, whereas the other reaction, citric acid and sodium bicarbonate at a 1:1 molar ratio, was used to generate $CO_2$, according to the following formula: $C_6H_8O_7+3NaHCO_3{\rightarrow}Na_3(C_6H_5O_7)+3H_2O+3CO_2$. Five species of obligate anaerobic bacteria, one strain of capnophilic bacterium, and one strain of microaerophilic bacterium were successfully cultured in the presence of their respective suitable conditions, all of which were successfully generated by our bottle-free multipurpose incubator. We conclude that, due to its greater safety, versatility, and significantly lower operating costs, this bottle-free multipurpose incubator can be used for the production of fastidious bacterial cultures, and constitutes a favorable step above existing anaerobic incubators.

Bottle gourd, Lagenaria siceraria, is one of the oldest cultivated plants. To bigin with, its fruit was used as a complete liquid bottle or container. It was a very widespread cultivated plant in prehistoric times, for example (there) is a report from Peru as early as between 13,000 B.C and 11,000 B.C. The dug-out finds in Japan proved to be about 95,000 years old according to the $^{14}$ C analysis. The bottle grourd was the most important plant before the invention of pottery in many areas of Asia, New Guinea, Polynesia, America, and Africa. I would like to suggest that there should be “The Bottle Gourd Age” prior to the Pottery Age.(중략)
PURPOSE. This study assessed the effect of storage time on chemical structure of a single-bottle and a two-bottle experimental ceramic primer and micro-shear bond strength (µSBS) of composite to ceramic. MATERIALS AND METHODS. This study was conducted on 60 sintered zirconia and 60 feldspathic porcelain blocks. Half of the specimens (n = 30) were subjected to surface treatment with the single-bottle Clearfil ceramic primer (n = 15) and two-bottle experimental primer (n = 15) after 24 hours. The remaining half received the same surface treatments after 6 months storage in distilled water. Composite cylinders were bonded to the ceramics, and they were then subjected to µSBS test. Also, the primers underwent Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) after 24 hours and 6 months to assess their chemical structure. Data were analyzed with 3-way ANOVA and adjusted Bonferroni test (alpha = 0.05). RESULTS. The µSBS of both ceramics significantly decreased at 6 months in one-bottle ceramic primer group (P = .001), but it was not significantly different from the two-bottle experimental primer group (P = .635). FTIR showed hydrolysis of single-bottle primer, cleavage of silane and 10-MDP bonds, and formation of siloxane bonds after 6 months. CONCLUSION. Six months of storage caused significant degradation of single-bottle ceramic primer, and consequently had an adverse effect on µSBS.
