Comparison of the required abilities in construction site between field managers and students (국내 건축시공(建築施工) 전공교육(全功敎育)에 대한 건설현장(建設現場)의 인식(認識) 및 요구(要求)에 관한 연구(硏究))

  • The construction industry highly depends on each specialized manager which is essential to successful project. However, a new employee, who has just graduated from architectural engineering college, is requested additional education for 1~2 years such as On-the-Job-Training (O.J.T) to perform his/her professional job in construction site. It is wasteful for both construction company and the employee in terms of time and cost. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the required abilities and analyze the gap of demanded abilities between field managers and students. To collect data for analysis, questionnaire which uses Likert Scale has been performed to both parts. As a result, the analysis show that the graduate's abilities related to field experience get especially low degrees in compare with non-field experience factors. These results will contribute architectural engineering education in college to make more realized.

  • The industry field training course are offered a opportunities for industrial experience to students and Companies can take advantage of advanced workforce with minimum cost. Universities are taking a new collaborative educational systems that require on-site industry for the 21st century. Therefore, in this thesis, We intended to analyze factors influencing satisfaction of people studying in a situation that industry field training has been required to be a mainstream system of education in the midst of trend of changing paradigm of university education recently, and to suggest some possible solutions for industry field training at industrial complex campus.

  • Interest and investment in drones that apply the concept of the 4th industrial revolution and ICT convergence advanced technology are continuing. The purpose of drone operation has been widely spread from the initial military use to the use of various industries such as construction, forestry, facilities, and agricultural support. In these industries, the training of pilots who can actually operate drones is increasing centering on the qualification system. However, the detailed standards including the training place, training place, educational environment, and education method for nurturing pilots are ambiguous, so the education through the oral instruction of the training instructor is continuing at the drone training site. In order to solve this problem, this study conducted a study on a dual control platform in which a training instructor could directly intervene in the pilot's flying drone to execute a map in order to improve the quality of synesthesia, which is essential in the field.

  • On-site diagnosis of chiller performance is an essential step fur energy saving business. The main purpose of the on-site diagnosis is to predict the COP of a target chiller. Many models based on thermodynamics background have been proposed for this purpose. However, they have to be modified from chiller to chiller and require deep insight into thermodynamics that most of field engineers are often lacking in. This study focuses on developing an easy-to-use diagnostic technique that is based on adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS). Quality of the training data for ANFIS, sampled over June through September, is assessed by checking COP prediction errors. The architecture of the ANFIS, its error bounds, and collection of training data are described in detail.

  • Dust scattering is one of the major problem for the residents living nearby construction field with construction noise and vibration. The dust scattering may inflict a considerable damage to psychological, spiritual discomfort to neighboring peoples. Therefore, the trouble of residents living nearby construction field have been increasing. Nevertheless, in our country, adequate guidelines for the dust scattering are not yet established because of the lack of basic data and insufficient research works. In this point, this study has researched its level of damage by conducting of the interview-survey which utilizing of questionnaire-paper asking for those staffs and workers to answer in the construction field, in order to grasp the damage extent of the actual condition effect and response against scattering dust in construction field. As the result, the occurring rate of dust scattering was appeared high compare with other constructing processes, due to utilization of construction equipment that operating at the fundamental basic construction stage, and it was turned out that presently the proper countermeasure and training against scattering dust in the construction site is insufficient. As for the solution mean against that, it is considered that with the better operation of construction site such as the installation of facilities for occurrence-restraint of dust scattering, frequent sprinkling of water, use of thermostat-covers, as well as those methods to be minimized of the occurrence of dust scattering must be contrived through the education for an attention how to use of construction equipment and training at the site.

Exploring the Difficulties Experienced by the Facilitators in the Rural Field Forum (농촌현장포럼에서 퍼실리테이터들이 경험하는 어려움에 대한 탐색)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the extent of difficulties experienced by facilitators in the rural field forum and to derive a theoretical model for improving the satisfaction of facilitators in the rural field forum. Based on grounded theory, qualitative analysis used data collected through individual in-depth interviews with 10 facilitators who are working at the rural field forum. This collected data was analyzed using the Nvivo 11 program. Using a derived theoretical model, the result of analyzing the difficulties experienced by facilitators in the rural field forum showed the core phenomenon identified as difficulties on-site the forum. There was a clarification of the issues regarding improvement of their labour conditions in order to solve the difficulties on-site the forum. The issues towards improving labour conditions were low allowance, equal assignment, guaranteed four major insurances and so on. The facilitators have been trying to activate the rural field forum by promoting their own capacity through the cooperation between colleagues, post training, seminars, and conferences.

A Study on the Improvement of Utilization through Recognition of Virtual Training Content Operating Institutions (가상훈련 콘텐츠 운영기관 인식을 통한 활용도 제고방안 연구)

  • In order to understand how to increase the use of virtual training content at K University's online lifelong education institute, this study examined the use experience, content recognition, field practice replacement, and requirements, focusing on the examples of operating institutions. To this end, 12 institutions that operated virtual training contents distributed by the K University Online Lifelong Education Center in 2020 were selected for in-depth interviews and qualitative analysis was conducted on the interviews of 11 institutions. As a result of the analysis, first, the experience of using the contents of the virtual training operating institution was aimed at changing the educational environment, supplementing theoretical learning, and improving the sense of practice. Second, according to a survey on the recognition of virtual training content, if the importance and utilization of the content are high, it can be replaced by on-site practice in non-face-to-face classes, such as experiences of facilities and equipment, attracting interest and attention. Third, in many cases, the perception of replacement for field practice is not unreasonable to use as a pre-training material for field practice, but it is difficult to replace field practice. Fourth, content quality improvements can be summarized as content quality improvement, content access and manipulation improvement, dedicated device development, training for instructors, and curriculum systematization. Fifth, institutional requirements include improving the quality of virtual training content itself, equipment support, curriculum systemization and characterization, systematic curriculum and detailed content sharing, detailed guidance on using virtual training content, introducing how to use content, and recruiting instructors. This study is meaningful in that it sought ways to improve the utilization of virtual training content based on the perception of virtual training content operating institutions.

  • Recently, it is entering the hyper connectivity age due to the development of sensor and communication technology. In particular, it is emerging new industries such as the IoT, bigdata, cloud by convergence with the ICT and other industries. Because these industries are high the gravity of the software, the demand for software manpower is increasing rapidly. But university curriculum don't deviate from the traditional curriculum, and lack of positive response to these changes is occurring a mismatch with the industry demand. In this paper, investigate a software curriculums of the four-year university, and will attempt to investigate the perception about the university software course of the corporate perspective. Also, we draw a on-site fitness of universities training course by analysis of importance on software training courses between universities and businesses. Finally, we propose a strategy model for software training course design appropriate for the field.

A study on exposed aggrigate P.C. in field plant cast - case study for core building, VOTRAKON project - (골재노출 P.C제품의 현지생산에 관한 소고 -보트라콘 프로젝트의 코아빌딩을 중심으로-)

  • These brief studies and reports of the use of exposed aggrigate precast concrete in practice are combined with a description of some notable co-ordination such as shop drawing, manufacturing and erection in the field construction. Above mentioned exposed aggrigate P. C. means architectural P. C. which was used to the VOTRAKON site in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Fabricated P. C. on the site without autoclaving and steam curing plant had been successfully carried out on this project-core building, conference room and others. The project designed by HOPE/VTN international INC. which is located in San Diego, California U.S.A. stands for vocational training and related support facilities contract. We had to submit shop drawings showing complete information for fabrication and installation of P. C. unit reinforcement. Also we should be indicated member dimension and cross section, location size and type of necessary for erection. We can delineate the following characteristic results. One of the most important things how to handle exposed aggrigate P.C. unit as specified was quality assurance and co-ordination for shop drawing, manufacturing and erection.
