This paper proposes a mathematical model for converting conveyor assembly line to cellular manufacturing in complex production environments. Complex production environments refer to the situations with multi-products, variant demand, different batch sizes and the worker abilities varying with work stations and products respectively. The model proposed in this paper aims to determine (1) how many cells should be formatted; (2) how many workers should be assigned in each cell; (3) and how many workers should be rested in shortened conveyor line when a conveyor assembly line should be converted, in order to optimize system performances which are defined as the total throughput time and total labor power. We refer the model to a new production system. Such model can be used as an evaluation tool in the cases of (i) when a company wants to change its production system (usually a belt conveyor line) to a new one (including cell manufacturing); (ii) when a company wants to evaluate the performance of its converted system. Simulation experiments based on the data collected from the previous documents are used to estimate the marginal impact that each factor change has had on the estimated performance improvement resulting from the conversion.

This paper describes the development of on-line Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) laboratories to teach the detailed operation of a PLC using distance learning approach. The PLC has become a key component to provide intelligence for machines in CIM environment. This study introduces a case study that teaches PLC programming in distance learning environment. The study describes the contents of PLC laboratories and workstation set ups. The study concludes with problems found and proposes the ways to improve the on-line laboratories.

This paper presented the development plan of voltage security on-line monitoring system (VSECOMs). VSECOMs consists of voltage security monitoring system and data management system. VSECOMs has the function of bus voltage watch. voltage stability analysis, and voltage security assessment. EMS data on-line acquisition, PSS/E file conversion, and overall data management. VSECOMs is designed with client/server structure. We will seek stable operation of KEPCO's power system by installation of VSECOMs in EMS of KEPCO.

Although the concept of Construction Management has been increased in the construction industry in Korea, there are no acceptance in electrifying the conventional line. This paper presents a non-linear control chart based on support vector machine regression (SVM-R) to improve the accuracy of fault detection of cyclic signals. The proposed algorithm consists of the following two steps. First, the center line of the control chart is constructed by using SVM-R. Second, we calculate control limits by variances that are estimated by perpendicular and normal line of the center line. For performance evaluation, we apply proposed algorithm to the industrial data of the chemical vapor deposition process which is one of the semiconductor processes. The proposed method has better fault detection performance than other existing method

본 연구의 목적은 지식기여 활동의 영향요인을 분석하고, 지식기여 활성화 방안을 모색하는데 있다. 특히 본 연구에서는 공공부문을 대상으로 온라인에서의 지식기여와 오프라인에서의 지식기여 활동에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하고, 이를 통해 지식기여 활성화 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 구조방정식 모형 분석을 통한 가설검증 결과, 온라인 지식기여와 오프라인 지식기여에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 지지적 리더십, 내재적 동기, 지식품질 등으로 나타났다. 이러한 분석결과를 토대로 본 연구에서는 지식기여 활성화를 위한 전략 및 함의를 제시하였다.

1950년대에서 1990년대까지의 정보검색 발전사를 연대별로 기술하였다. 1950년대에서는 후조합색인법과 KWIC방식을, 1960년대에서는 오프라인 시스템과 실험용 온라인시스템, 1970년대에서는 온라인시스템, 1980년대에서는 전문데이터베이스 온라인 인터페이스, 해외 데이터베이스의 이용 및 국내 온라인 시스템, 그리고 1990년대에서는 CD-ROM, 멀티미디어 및 하이퍼텍스트, 인터넷 등의 발전에 관하여 각각 기술하고 장래에 관하여 전망하였다.

This study investigated the characteristics of on-line auction users with addictive tendencies. A questionnaire survey was conducted on-line between September 9 and 14, 2005 and 1,608 adults who had experience in on-line auctions participated. As a result, 23.5 percent of the subjects in this study were shown to have addictive tendencies in their use of on-line auctions. The socio-demographic factor found was gender difference. That is, men were more likely to show addictive tendencies than women. The subjects who had addictive tendencies showed certain psychological characteristics such as lower self-esteem more symptoms of depression, and a higher sense of alienation compared to those without addictive tendencies. Finally, on-line auction users who had addictive tendencies were shown to visit on-line auction site more frequently and to stay logged on the auction site longer than non-addicts, reflecting that the frequent the use of on-line auction, the higher the possibility of addiction to on-line auction.
