Aquaculture of olive flounder started in the middle of 1980's and now farming has been taken place in many places along the coastal line in Korea. The taste of olive flounder has a good chewy texture because of high collagen content, low fat content, so it is popular for sliced raw fish. Olive flounder is popular among Koreans but the consumption pattern is uniformly so as to be used as sliced raw fish but not other ways. So, now there needs to develop high valued-processed food using olive flounder. This study was set to investigate the processing of terrine by using olive flounder, in which terrine is French style meat loaf that is well favored around the world. In this study, terrine was prepared by chopping olive flounder meat with 39 g egg white and 10 mL fresh cream (per 50 g fillet) and then seasoned with 5 mL lemon juice, 5 mL brandy, 0.05 g salt and 0.05 g pepper. The 25 g of dough was placed on a vinyl wrap, put with 2 g cheese, and layered an another 25 g dough, and then rolled up and wrapped by aluminium foil. Two different cooking methods were used for terrine processing in this study. Terrine-1 was cooked by vacuum sealed in polyethylene film ($20{\times}30{\times}0.05mm$) after boiling for 5 min and stored at $-20^{\circ}C$ for 7 days. Terrine-2 was prepared by vacuum sealed in polyethylene film ($20{\times}30{\times}0.05mm$) and stored at $-20^{\circ}C$ for 7 days. After 7 days, Terrine-1 was thawed and then heated up in microwave for 2 min (Sample-1), while Terrine-2 was thawed and then boiled in water for 5 min (Sample-2). Viable bacterial count, chemical composition, pH, salinity, hardness, TBA, free amino acid content, and sensory evaluation were measured for both Sample-1 and Sample-2. Especially, the scores of sensory evaluation of Sample-2 is slightly higher than that of Sample-1. On the other hand, there were no significant differences on color, odor, taste, texture, and overall acceptance between Sample-1 and Sample-2.

In the late Joseon Dynasty, patriarchal ideology became central to the family and the clan, and once again became acutely felt with "the familism of clan rules that centered around a legitimate and eldest son." The establishment of the family-clan system, though somewhat complex, was largely aimed at the family line of "a paternalist-a legitimate and eldest son." The trend was not limited to a particular family, but rather, was a historical and social trend. Changseonggameirok showed how to solve the family crisis by setting up a problem for the next generation's patriarch. This paper tries to explain the issue of Hwachun's complex as the legitimate and eldest son complex. First, it suggests that Hwachun's complex is as universal as the Cain complex, also known as the eldest son complex, and that Hwachun's complex is a special instance of the legitimate and eldest son complex in Changseonggameirok. Next this paper studies the aspects of Hwachun's legitimate and eldest son complex combined with Mrs. Sim's complex, as well as her daughter-in-law's complex, and eventually tracks the development of the family-clan complex. As a result, we've come to a new conclusion that the legitimate and eldest son complex was found in Changseonggameirok for the first time in Korean literary history. This paper also examines the fact that when the legitimate and eldest son complex was transferred to Hwajin, it became a family complex that Hwajin had to contend with; this paper tracks the process wherein Hwajin's filial piety solved the legitimate and eldest son complex. As a result, we realized that Hwajin's filial duty and brotherly love went beyond his feelings for Mrs. Sim and Hwachun, and supported the substantiation for "the familism of a clan that is based on rules of the legitimate and eldest son" in the course of public opinion. However the familism of these rules was not embodied in the absolute; in the royal family, for example, it was rather flexibly implemented when the characters admitted to breaking the law. In addition, this paper provides the room for a critical reading of Changseonggameirok, reflecting back on the underlying guilt and psychological pain of the characters who are affected by the particular rules, and concluding that guilt and suffering are fundamentally insoluble. This is because the two ideas, "the legitimate and eldest son complex" and "the familism of a clan rules centered on a legitimate and eldest son" are two sides of the same coin.
This study was conducted to investigate the health and nutritional status of 123 middle aged men at their worksite in Taejon. The results of this study on the factors that influence their health and nutritional status were as follows : 1) 74.8$\%$ of the subjects had history in the order of alimentary, heat, liver, diabetic and pulmonary diseases. 30.3$\%$ stopped smoking at 42.3% yrs. and 74.5$\%$ smoked more than 10 cigarets per day. Also 71.9$\%$ drank 2-3 times per week and 35.3$\%$ drank 1-2 times per week. 91.4$\%$ exercised more than 30min every day. 2) 54.4% showed concerns about their health whereas 20.3$\%$ were afraid that they night get sick. 3) 90.4$\%$ ate regularly and 54.5$\%$ worried about their cholesterol, salt, fat and MSG intakes. 48.7$\%$ ate out 1-2times per week and their favorite foods eaten outside were Korea. 4) 41.5$\%$ were classified as 'normal A', 30.9$\%$ 'normal B' group and high blood pressure and liber diseases in 'doubtful for disease' group were pointed out from their 1996 health check ups. 5) By Broca index, 39.8$\%$ were overweight and 9.8% were obese however by BMI only 23.6% were overweight. According to the relationship between calculated and self recognized obesity, 62.4$\%$ categorized themselves into the right weight range but 34.3$\%$ thought they were thinner than they were. 6) 43.9$\%$ were border line in cholesterol intake and 12.1$\%$ needed medical care for high blood cholesterol. 7) The Average energy intake was 1970.6㎉(80.9$\%$ RDA) with a 65 :19 : 16 ratio of carbohydrate : protein : fat. Protein, Fe, thiamin, riboflavin, niacin and Vit. A. 8) Occupation, regularity of meals, partner's job, income. smoking, alcohol drinking, health concerns and eating out were the factors that influenced the subject's nutrient intakes and health status. from this study, it was found that middle aged men needs to know their health and nutritional status and to be educated correct health and nutritional information through formal or informal channel. The worksite is the vest place to do this and we want these results to be used to develop the nutrition education program for middle aged men at the worksite.

This paper proposes the method for more effectively calculating X/R which is the ratio of equivalent reactance(X) and resistance(R) of the bulk power system and analyses the characteristic of X/R values by applying the proposed method to the real bulk power systems. X/R is used to determine the rating of the relay in the bulk power systems and its value has been accepted to be big enough to ignore the equivalent resistance of the bulk power systems. However, X/R is calculated as a big number when only the upper transformer and transmission line are considered. The correct approach to calculating X/R needs to consider all the parameters including generators, transformers, lines and loads. This paper calculates X/R of the bulk power systems using dynamic models which have been used to analyse the power system stability. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by applying it to the test system and X/R values of the real bulk power systems are analyzed. In addition, the dependence of X/R on the closeness of its calculating locations to the generator is verified by using the marginal loss factor which has been used in the electricity market.

The patterning of microbead in microfluidics channel is a practical technique for application in bio and medical areas. An approach is described for a direct patterning of magnetically active microbeads in microfluidic devices without inner structure. Local magnet arrangements - flat arrangement and stack arrangement - contacting same poles or opposite poles of magnet were utilized for generating trapping magnetic fields. The arrangement of magnets contacting same poles generated isolated patterns by repelling of magnetic field. The flat arrangement of vertically reverse magnet arrays shaped trapping patterns repelling magnetic field line between same poles. Spatially, the stack compositions of magnet arrangements allow diverse isolated trapped patterns of magnetic particles. Trapped magnetic particles in fluidic channels were stable on the $18m{\ell}/hr$ flow conditions and magnetic force of 1.08 mT in the all experiments. This experimental study suggests the simple and versatile methods to pattern magnetic particles, and has potential of wide application to bio and medical area.

This study examined the moral judgments and ethical decision-making and analyzed ethical dilemmas experienced in practice by nursing students. The data were collected using self-reported questionnaires and reports from 189 college students in their 2nd ~ 4th grades. Data collection period was from Nov 6th - 20th in 2012. Each grade's P(%) scores were 47.92, 43.74, and 43.75 respectively.. For stage 4 score, each grade's scores were 22.37, 22.98, and 19.74. This result shows that, compared to juniors, senior student's P(%) scores did not drop and stage 4 scores rather decreased, which is in line with the results of previous studies about the effects of ethics education. This finding could be attributed to the regular and voluntary case presentations and discussions required for the senior participants. Regarding ethical decision-making type, the most favored was type 3(35.45%). Among seven categories of the ethical dilemmas facing the students, the most commonly reported was the patient's rights and dignity, followed by practices based on nursing standards, arranging for dying patients. This study raises the need that the curriculum is revised to encourage student's participation in the analysis of ethical issues they confront in the field.
The present study proposes and examines a new type of multiple-choice math test. In this format, the options are the intermediate derivatives of the math problem solution process rather than the final answers. This idea originates from the studies on the effect of worked-out examples. In these studies, it has been shown that students learn better when they were presented with worked-out examples than when presented with final answers by themselves. In line with these findings, we introduced the intermediate derivatives of the solution process as the options of multiple-choice items so that the test-taker will have a chance to examine the solution process. The test was implemented as a computerized test in which students can solve problems in a short answer format, and then pick a multiple-choice option which appears when requested. The experimental group had multiple-choice options which were intermediate derivatives of the solution process, and the control group had the final answers as the options as in most multiple-choice tests. The participants were 6th graders in elementary school. The posttest results revealed that the average score of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group. The results suggest that tests that use intermediate derivatives of the problem solution process as options can be used as learning tools in the classrooms. Finally, directions for further studies were discussed.

To investigate the actual states of farmers syndrome and their related factors, the author surveyed a total of 534 rural residents, resided in Puyeo kun, Chungnam Province, during August 1996. The data were collected from members of an association and their families of agricultural co-operatives, and analysed. Following are the results summarized therefrom; 1. The prevalence rate of farmers syndrome as a whole was 36.7%, but that of female was higher as 45.0% than male as 27.4%. 2. The prevalence rates of farmers syndrome were higher in the group of higher age, shorter education years, longer farming careers, and longer daily farming hours. 3. The prevalence rates of farmers syndrome did not show statistically significantly different among groups of farming categories such as specialize in farming, such as side line, and not farming. 4. Sex, age, and daily farming hours were proved to be a related factors of farmers syndrome by logistic regression analysis. Odds ratio of female group was 2.06 compared with male group, above 70 years age group was 6.24 compared with below 40 years age group, and group of farming more than 8 hours a day was 2.55 compared with not farming group. 5. The mean scores of self-estimated health states of the group with farmers syndrome was lower than those with negative or suspicious farmers syndrome, but the mean scores of psychological symptoms, other than symptoms of farmers syndrome was statistically significantly higher in farmers syndrome group. Consequently, farmers syndrome seems to be not disease entity but symptom complex which is highly related with age and sex. For that reason, there is a need of study on the differentiate the farmers syndrome and chronic musculoskeletal diseases in the aged.

Recently, supercomputer has been increasingly adopted as a computing environment for scientific simulation as well as education, healthcare and national defence. Especially, supercomputing system with heterogeneous computing resources is gaining resurgence of interest as a next-generation problem solving environment, allowing theoretical and/or experimental research in various fields to be free of time and spatial limits. However, traditional supercomputing services have only been handled through a simple form of command-line based console, which leads to the critical limit of accessibility and usability of heterogeneous computing resources. To address this problem, in this paper, we provide the design and implementation of web-based HPC (High Performance Computing) job management framework for computational scientific simulation. The proposed framework has highly extensible design principles, providing the abstraction interfaces of job scheduler (as well as bundle scheduler plug-ins for LoadLeveler, Sun Grid Engine, OpenPBS scheduler) in order to easily incorporate the broad spectrum of heterogeneous computing resources such as cluster, computing cloud and grid. We also present the detailed specification of HTTP standard based RESTful endpoints, which manage simulation job's life-cycles such as job creation, submission, control and status monitoring, etc., enabling various 3rd-party applications to be newly created on top of the proposed framework.

Physical strength of the rock is the most important factor of resistance to erosion and has been measured through various way. Bedrock microforms, like potholes and grooves, are the forms sculpted by the erosional processes of flow and the location and morphology are strongly affected by the differential erosion. It also assumed that the physical strength of the rock controls the erosion rate and mode of erosion. The schmidt hammer has been used to measure the rock strength in the field for the geomorphological research. To find the relationship between the rock strength and microforms, Schmidt hammer's R(rebound) were measured in the Baeksuktan, middle reach of Gilancheon, Cheongsong, Gyungsangbuk do. The overall values of rebound of the local sandstone showed over 65 in most cases, so it can be regarded as 'very strong'. It is found that the rebound values of the rock surface decreased towards current water level. It also, however, found that there was no systematic differences in rebound values among the topographically high and lows in the bedrock surface. There was no statistically significant difference in rebound values of the area with well developed microforms and others. The values of R from the exposed faces and inside of the microforms are similar. In the case of conglomerate, the part with the gravel showed higher values that the parts with sands. The rebound values are decreased near of(<1cm) the geological discontinuities(including joint and faults), so this line of weakness could be the point of initiation of active erosion to form microforms. However there is large variations in rebound values within this part. It also should be mentioned that topological relation between the strike of the geologic discontinuities and flow direction looks control the mode of erosional processes.
