A Study on the Ground Fault Diagnosis System of Power Station DC Power line (발전소 직류전선로의 지락안전진단 시스템에 관한 연구)

  • There are two kinds of ground fault diagonosis system(GFD), which are for AC and DC power line. The ground fault current of a DC power line Is, first, analyzed for a description of a GFD system for DC power line and then the construction method of the GFD system, which could be processed and analyzed a ground fault current, are explained. Main functions of the system are that the detected ground fault current could be converted to the line insulation resistance by a program and saved in the system memory continuously. Finally a DC power line insulation safety could be decide by a change of the saved Insulation resistance for a given time. This system can detect the ground fault resistance to 100㏀.

  • Insulation aging diagnosis system provides early warning regarding electrical equipment defect. Early warning is very important in that it can avoid great losses resulting from unexpected shutdown of the production line. Since relations of insulation aging and partial discharge dynamics are non-linear, it is very difficult to provide early warning in an electrical equipment. In this paper, we propose the design method of insulation aging diagnosis system that use a magnetic wave and acoustic signal to diagnoses an electrical equipment. Proposed system measures the partial discharge on-line from DAS(Data Acquisition System) and acquires 2D Patterns from analyzing it. For fettering the noise contained in sensor signals we used ICA algorithms. Using this data design of the neuro-fuzzy model that diagnoses an electrical equipment is investigated. Validity of the new method is asserted by numerical simulation.

  • In this paper, two diagnosis algorithms using the simple fuzzy, cognitive map (FCM) that is an useful qualitative model are proposed. The first basic algorithm is considered as a simple transition of Shiozaki's signed directed graph approach to FCM framework. And the second one is an extended version of the basic algorithm. In the extension, three important concepts, modified temporal associative memory (TAM) recall, temporal pattern matching algorithm and hierarchical decomposition are adopted. As the resultant diagnosis scheme takes short computation time, it can be used for on-line fault diagnosis of large scale and complex processes that conventional diagnosis methods cannot be applied. The diagnosis system can be trained by the basic algorithm and generates FCM model for every experienced process fault. In on-line application, the self-generated fault model FCM generates predicted pattern sequences, which are compared with observed pattern sequences to declare the origin of fault. In practical case, observed pattern sequences depend on transport time. So if predicted pattern sequences are different from observed ones, the time weighted FCM with transport delay can be used to generate predicted ones. The fault diagnosis procedure can be completed during the actual propagation since pattern sequences of tvo different faults do not coincide in general.

  • This paper proposes a fuzzy expert system for the fault diagnosis of Hard Disk Drive(HDD) test systems. The purposes of this system are diagnosis of HDD test systems, detection of system faults using test history, and presentation of the way of repair. Proposed Expert system is designed with Fuzzy logic and Binary Logic to present the way of repair using HDD tort result, HDD test history. The proposed system is simulated with actual data from SAMSUNG HDD product line in KUMI, KOREA, and show effective results.

  • This paper presents constitution of a moderate price thermography system for on-line measurement. All objects with some temperature above absolute zero radiate in the infrared. The intensities and spectra of the infrared radiated from some object depend on the conditions and temperature distributions on the surface of the objects, and the temperature distributions differ from each others with different undersurface structures. Consequently, infrared radiation is useful for diagnosis of the conditions on the surface and undersurface of electric power apparatus. But the present, because engineers directly measure the temperatures of apparatuses in off-line, the measured data do not always have the information of the past. The proposed system is able to analyze not only the information of the past but the trend of deterioration, and the system is able to compensate for the distortion of surface temperature as to weather conditions. The thermal image histogram is equalized to upgrade observability, and a pan-tilter is adopted to control of direction for any target point.

  • On-line diagnosis system has been developed and is now applied the detection of shorted-turn in the field winding of large generator. This system consists of data aquisition system and display PC. The data aquisition system detects voltage waveform from flux probe sensor installed in the stator slot. The display PC shows the shorted-turn situation of generator rotor winding.

  • Power system stability is correlated with system structure, disturbances and operating conditions. and power flows in transmission lines are closely related with those conditions. This paper discusses a methodology to identify crucial transmission lines for stability diagnosis with respect to transient stability and small-signal stability. On-line monitoring of the selected lines enables to predict system stability in real-time. Also, a Procedure to make a priority list of monitored transmission lines using contingency analysis. The procedure is applied to the PSS/E test system. and it shows capabilities of the proposed method.

  • To minimize the financial loss due to power facility malfunction, on-line diagnostic techniques are required to grasp any abnormal state of facilities in the live line as well as devices to diagnose abnormal states of power facility in an easy and prompt manner. This study aims to develop a portable UV detecting system by means of UV sensors for easier and efficient inspection of the degradation state of power facility in a long distance. Accordingly, it includes a simulation of corona discharges that may occur due to degradation of power facility and detection of ultraviolet pulse generation depending on the corona discharge intensity and measuring distance in application of UV sensors. Additionally, the optimal algorithm is determined for its application to the system's degradation diagnosis program based on the measured experiment data.

  • This paper presents an on-line monitoring and control system designed for the automation of a Concrete plant. The system is based on the combined structure composed of a general purpose PLC (Plogrammable Logic Controller) and a personal computer. Simulation results are ahem to illustrate the system operation. Preconstructed rules are applied to the plant data for the diagnosis of the weighing process in the simulation.

  • In this paper, we propose a new diagnosis method of DC/UC converter aging. The method is based on parasitic resister change with aging process. we apply to on-line diagnosis of DC/DC converter because of observing not a device but a system. We present the mathematical analysis and experimental study.
