콘빔CT 촬영 시 mAs의 변화에 따른 피부선량과 영상 품질에 관한 평가 (Evaluation of Skin Dose and Image Quality on Cone Beam Computed Tomography)

  • 목 적: 선형가속기에 부착된 온보드영상장치(On-Board Imager)를 이용한 콘빔CT (Cone Beam Computerized Tomography)는 환자의 셋업 오차 확인 및 보정, 장기 및 표적의 움직임 확인이 용이한 장점이 있는 영상유도방사선 치료 장비이다. 하지만 촬영 시 받게 되는 imaging dose는 2차 암 발생위험의 원인이 된다. 이에 본 저자는 촬영조건(mAs)을 변화시킨 4가지 촬영 mode로 피부선량과 영상 품질을 비교 평가하여 적정한 촬영 mode를 제시하고자 한다. 대상 및 방법: 인체 모형 팬톰(RANDO phantom)을 사용하여 열형광선량계(TLD-100, Harshaw)를 두부, 흉부, 복부로 나누어 각 부위별로 8개씩 위치시킨 후 4가지의 촬영 mode (A: 125 kvp 80 mA 25 ms, B: 125 kvp 40 mA, 25 ms, C: 125 kvp 80 mA 10 ms, D: 125 kvp 40 mA, 10 ms)로 피부선량(skin dose)을 각각 3회씩 측정한 후 그 평균값을 얻어 평가하였고 catphan 504 phantom을 이용하여 장비 제조사의 영상 품질 정도관리 protocol에 따라서 각 촬영 mode 별 영상품질(image quality)을 비교 분석하였다. 결 과: 피부선량을 측정한 결과 두부에서는 A mode: 8.96 cGy, B mode: 4.59 cGy, C mode: 3.46 cGy, D mode: 1.76 cGy였고, 흉부는 A mode: 9.42 cGy, B mode: 4.58 cGy, C mode: 3.65 cGy, D mode: 1.85 cGy가 복부에서는 A mode: 9.97 cGy, B mode: 5.12 cGy, C mode: 4.03 cGy, D mode: 2.21 cGy의 값으로 측정이 되었다. 이는 A mode를 기준으로 약 B mode는 50%, C mode 60%, D mode는 80%의 선량 감소를 나타내었다. 영상품질 평가 항목인 HU reproducibility, Low contrast resolution, Spatial resolution (high contrast resolution), HU uniformity를 분석한 결과 모든 촬영mode에서 장비제조사에서 제시하는 tolerance 이내의 값으로 평가되었다. 결 론: 콘빔CT에 있어서 좋은 영상품질을 유지하면서 imaging dose를 줄이는 것은 중요하다. 이에 본 실험결과를 바탕으로 하여 soft tissue가 관심영역일 경우는 A mode로 두부 촬영 시 bone이 관심영역일 경우 D mode가 일반적인 경우에는 B, C mode가 적용 가능하리라 생각된다. 또한 콘빔CT촬영으로 인해 증가되는 2차 암 발생위험은 낮은 mAs의 촬영조건을 선택함으로써 줄일 수 있을 것이다.

소형어선의 선외추락 경보장치 개발 방안 연구 (Developmental Plan of Man-Overboard Alert Devices of Small Fishing Vessels: A Study)

  • 국내 연안의 소형어선에서 선외추락 등의 사고 시 대처 방법은 VHF-DSC 무선설비의 경보신호 버튼 조작에 의한 조난 경보 송신과 선박패스 장치(V-Pass)의 경보버튼 작동 또는 비콘 분리에 의한 경보신호 송신 방법이 병행 운용되고 있다. 그러나, 1~2인 승무 소형어선에서 선외추락 시 승조원이 이들 설비를 직접 조작하여 경보신호를 송신할 방법이 없으나, 외국에서는 VHF-DSC 및 AIS, Bluetooth 등의 기술을 사용한 선외추락 경보장치(MOB)를 이용하여 경보신호를 모선과 타선에 직접 송신하여 대처하고 있다. 외국에서 운용 중인 MOB 장치의 성능 및 기술 분석을 위해 근 장거리 전파환경을 측정한 결과, MOB 장치가 수면 표면에 있을 경우 최대 1해리 이내에서 경보 신호의 수신이 가능함을 확인하였다. 국내 여건에 맞는 MOB 장치는 VHF 통신거리 내의 무선국으로 경보신호를 보내야 하나, 허위의 경보신호를 줄이기 위해서는 선박에 탑재된 VHF-DSC 무선설비와 원격으로 연동되어 운용하는 형태가 가장 적합한 것으로 판단된다. MOB 장치와 VHF-DSC 장치를 연결하기 위한 여러 가지 기술을 검토한 결과, 장치의 소형화 등의 장점이 있는 Bluetooth 방식이 적합하다. MOB 장치에서 비상신호 송신 시, 전용 수신기에서 수신하여 VHF-DSC 무선설비의 외부입력단자를 통해 비상신호를 인지시켜 자체 경보 알람 발생으로 모선에서 인지할 수 있으며, 모선에서 대처하지 못한다면 VHF-DSC 무선설비에 의한 조난경보 신호를 모든 무선국으로 송신하는 방식을 이용하면 국내 연안의 소형어선 등에서 선외추락으로 인한 비상상황에 대처할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

독립형 호스피스 센터 모델 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of an Independent Hospice Center Model)

  • The study was aimed at developing an independent hospice center model that would be best suited for Korea based on a literature review and the current status of local and international hospices. For the study, five local and six international hospice organizations were surveyed. Components of the hospice center model include philosophy, purpose, resources (workers, facilities, and equipment), allocation of resources, management, financial support and hospice team service. The following is a summary of the developed model: Philosophies for the hospice center were set as follows: based on the dignity of human life and humanism, help patients spend the rest of their days in a meaningful way and accept life positively. On the staff side, to pursue a team-oriented holistic approach to improve comfort and quality of life for terminally ill persons and their families. The hospice center should have 20 beds with single, two, and four bed rooms. The center should employ, either on a part-time or full-time basis, a center director, nurses, doctors, chaplains, social workers, pharmacists, dieticians, therapists, and volunteers. In addition, it will need an administrative staff, facility managers and nurses aides. The hospice should also be equipped with facilities for patients, their families, and team members, furnished with equipment and goods at the same level of a hospital. represented by a center director who reports to a board and an advisory committee. Also, the center director administers a steering committee and five departments, namely, Administration, Nursing Service, Social Welfare, Religious Services, and Medical Service. Furthermore, the center should be able to utilize a direct and support delivery systems. The direct delivery system allows the hospice center to receive requests from, or transfer patients to, hospitals, clinics, other hospice organizations (by type), public health centers, religious organizations, social welfare organizations, patients, and their guardians. On the other hand, the support delivery system provides a link to outside facilities of various medical suppliers. In terms of management, details were made with regards to personnel management, records, infection control, safety, supplies and quality management. For financial support, some form of medical insurance coverage for hospice services, ways to promote a donation system and fund raising were examined. Hospice team service to be provided by the hospice center was categorized into assessment, physical care, emotional care, spiritual care, bereavement service, medication, education and demonstrations, medical supplies rental, request service, volunteer service, and respite service. Based on the results, the study has drawn up the following suggestions: 1. The proposed model for a hospice center as presented in the study needs to be tested with a pilot project. 2. Studies on criteria for legal approval and license for a hospice center need to be conducted to develop policies. 3. Studies on developing a hospice charge system and hospice standards that meet local conditions in Korea need to be conducted.

首都圈地域 小賣業 經營의 空間的 變容 (Spatial Changes in the Business Organization of Retailing in the Seoul Metropolitan Area)

  • 대도시권내 소매업의 지역구조 변화를 이해하기 위하여 우리나라에서 소매업의 규모가 가장 큰 수도권지역 소매업 경영의 지역적 변화형태를 고찰한 결과 다음과 같은 점이 밝혀졌다. 1979~1991년 사이에 연간판매액에 의한 소매업의 업종구성 변화는 <종합 소매업>과 <개인 운수장비 소매업 및 주유소 운영업>의 구성비가 매우 높아졌다. 그리고 소매업의 경영상의 변화는 개인 경영조직이 탁월해지고, 종사자의 常傭化가 많이 나타났다. 주성분 분석에 의한 수도권지역 소매업의 주된 경영성분은 1. 소매업의 대규모화와, 2. <섬유, 의복, 신발 및 의복 악세사리 소매업>, <가구, 철물 및 가정용품 소매업(가전제품 포함)>, <장신구 및 시계 소매업>의 법인 조직화와 상용 조사자의 고용화이다. 소매업 경영의 유형변화를 보면, 1979년에는 섬유, 의복, 신박 및 의복 악세사리 소매업, 가구, 철물 및 가정용품 소매업(가전제품 포함), 장신구 및 시계 소매업의 법인 조직화와 상용 종사자의 고용화, 달리 분류되지 않은 일반 소매업의 대규모 소매업의 법인 조직화가 다소 이루어졌으나, 1991년에는 소매업의 대규모화가 이루어진 것이다. 이러한 경영변화를 나타내는 지구는 서울시와 그 위성도시 및 경기도의 남동부지역이다. 또 1979년에 섬유, 의복, 신발 및 의복 악세사리 소매업, 장신구 및 시계 소매업, 달리 분류되지 않은 일반 소매업의 대규모 소매업의 법인 조직화가 다소 이루어진 것에서, 1991년에는 개인 운수장비 소매업 및 주유소 운영업의 상용 종사자의 고용화가 이루어졌다. 이러한 변화를 나타내는 지구는 경기도의 동부와 북부지역이다. 따라서 우리나라 수도권지역 소매업 경영의 변화형태는 1979년에 일부 소매업이 법인 조직화와 상용 종사자의 고용화가, 1991년에는 소매업의 대규모화와 개인 운수장비 소매업과 주유소 운영업의 종사자 고용화가 나타난 점이다.

A Study on the Development of Educational Programs for LNG Bunkering in Consideration of the Safety System

  • This paper aims at presenting bunkering educational programs for LNG fueled ship taking into consideration existing similar education programs and safety systems at the international level in order to enhance both seafarers' and vessels' safety. Heavy fuel oil has typically been used as fuel of ship propulsion. The competitiveness of the fuel oil is recently getting weak in terms of cost and environmental aspects. Liquefied natural gas is introduced for ship propulsion in the maritime field as a new energy source replacing heavy fuel oil. In order to prepare for installation and operation of LNG fueled propulsion ship on board, International Maritime Organization has discussed this subject for about 10 years. As a result of the discussion on such ships in IMO, the International Code of Safety for Ships Using Gases or Other Low-Flash-Point Fuels entered into force on the year 2015. International organizations and several countries therefore drives actively entire researches and other businesses with a view to providing equipment and system of LNG bunkering. The systems are divided into ship-to-ship transfer, terminal / pipeline-to-ship transfer and truck-to-ship transfer. By adopting transfer system of LNG bunkering, many human resources will be needed in these areas on scene as well as on managing, operating, trading, finance, design of LNG bunkering industries. LNG bunkering is just in the beginning stage. Hence, this paper reviews and proposes professional educational programs of LNG bunkering in consideration of technical aspects of the safety system of LNG bunkering based on the types of bunkering systems.

전차선의 집전상태 판단 알고리즘 구현 (On the Implementation of an Advanced Judgement Algorithm for Contact Loss of Catenary System)

  • Analyzing dynamic performance between pantograph and contact wire depends on mechanical and electrical conditions such as contact force, currents, aerodynamics of pantograph and tension of overhead contact wire. For the characteristic of dynamic performance between pantograph and overhead contact wire, various evaluation systems are used to measuring of the interaction of the contact line and the pantograph. Among the various methods, the contact force and percentage of arcing are intended to prove the safety and the quality of the current collection system on the train. However, these methods are only capable of measuring on the train which are installed measurement systems. Therefore in this paper, a track-side monitoring system was implemented to measure electrical characteristics from active overhead contact wire systems in order to constantly estimate current collection performance of railway operation. In addition, a method to analyze loss of contact phenomena was proposed. According to simulation results, the proposed system was capable of measuring abnormal electrical behavior of pantograph and contact wires on the track-side. The advantage of the proposed system is possible to detect loss of contact or any other electrical abnormalities of all types of trains within sections from sub to sub without the need to install any on-board equipment on trains.

HTML5를 활용한 온라인 지도 기반 AIS선박 모니터링 시스템 구현 (A Development of AIS Vessel Monitoring System on online map using HTML5)

  • 최근 선박의 안전운항에 대한 요구가 증가되면서, 국제해사기구에서는 SOLAS규정에 따라 선박의 다양한 정보를 제공하는 AIS의 의무 장착을 시행하고 있다. AIS장비는 선박의 자선 정보를 주변 선박 및 육상에 자동으로 브로드캐스팅방식으로 발신하고, 또한 주변 선박의 정보를 수신할 수 있는 장비이다. 최근에는 다양한 디스플레이 장치에 서비스를 제공하기 위한 시도가 진행되고 있으며, 특히 웹 응용을 이용하는 사례가 많아지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 웹 기반 응용에 대한 실현을 실험해보기 위해, 온라인 기반의 상용지도를 이용해 AIS 정보를 확인할 수 있는 디스플레이 시스템을 구현해 보았다. AIS수신 메시지 분석을 통해 주변 선박 정보를 분류하고, 상용지도는 구글 맵을 사용했으며, 디스플레이 처리를 위해서는 차세대 웹 표준인 HTML5 기술을 이용하였다.

Development of Solution for Safety and Optimal Weather Routing of a Ship

  • When a ship sails on sea, it may be influenced by the environmental disturbance such as wind, wave, sea surface temperature, etc. These affect on the ship's speed, fuel consumption, safety and operating performance. It is necessary to find the optimal weather route of a ship to avoid adverse weather conditions which can put the crews in serious danger or cause structural damage to the vessel, machinery, and equipment. This study introduced how to apply A* algorithm based on sea trial test data for determining the optimal ship routes. The path cost function was modelled as a function of minimum arrival time or minimum energy depending on the time of various environment conditions. The specially modelled path-cost function and the safety constraints were applied to the A* algorithm in order to find the optimal path of the ship. The comparison of ship performances estimated by real sea trial's path and estimated optimal route during the voyage of the ship was investigated. The result of this study can be used to create a schedule to ensure safe operation of the ship with short passage time or minimum energy. In addition, the result of this study can be integrated into an on-board decision supporting expert system and displayed in Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS) to provide all the useful information to ship master.

은 나노입자 프린팅 기반의 재활치료용 신축성 관절센서 개발 (Development of Stretchable Joint Motion Sensor for Rehabilitation based on Silver Nanoparticle Direct Printing)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to develop a stretchable joint motion sensor that is based on silver nano-particle. Through this sensor, it can be utilized as an equipment for rehabilitation and analyze joint movement. Method: In this study, precursor solution was created, after that, nozel printer (Musashi, Image master 350PC) was used to print on a circuit board. Sourcemeter (Keithley, Keithley-2450) was used in order to evaluate changes of electric resistance as the sensor stretches. In addition, the sensor was attached on center of a knee joint to 2 male adults, and performed knee flexion-extension in order to evaluate accurate analysis; 3 infrared cameras (100 Hz, Motion Master 100, Visol Inc., Korea) were also used to analyze three dimensional movement. Descriptive statistics were suggested for comparing each accuracy of measurement variables of joint motions with the sensor and 3D motions. Results: The change of electric resistance of the sensor indicated multiple of 30 times from initial value in 50% of elongation and the value of electric resistance were distinctively classified by following 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% of elongation respectively. Through using the sensor and 3D camera to analyze movement variable, it showed a resistance of 99% in a knee joint extension, whereas, it indicated about 80% in flexion phase. Conclusion: In this research, the stretchable joint motion sensor was created based on silver nanoparticle that has high conductivity. If the sensor stretches, the distance between nanoparticles recede which lead gradual disconnection of an electric circuit and to have increment of electric resistance. Through evaluating angle of knee joints with observation of sensor's electric resistance, it showed similar a result and propensity from 3D motion analysis. However, unstable electric resistance of the stretchable sensor was observed when it stretches to maximum length, or went through numerous joint movements. Therefore, the sensor need complement that requires stability when it comes to measuring motions in any condition.
