In this paper, the generation of a reference current and voltage signal based on a Kalman filter is offered for a 3-phase 4wire UPQC (Unified Power Quality Conditioner). The performance of the UPQC is improved with source voltages that are distorted due to harmonic components. Despite harmonic and frequency variations, the Kalman filter is capable enough to determine the amplitude and the phase angle of load currents and source voltages. The calculation of the first state is sufficient to identify the fundamental components of the current, voltage and angle. Therefore, the Kalman state estimator is fast and simple. A Kalman based control strategy is proposed and implemented for a UPQC in a distribution system. The performance of the proposed control strategy is assessed for all possible source conditions with varying nonlinear and linear loads. The functioning of the proposed control algorithm with a UPQC is scrutinized and validated through simulations employing MATLAB/Simulink software. Using a FPGA SPATRAN 3A DSP board, the proposed algorithm is developed and implemented. A small-scale laboratory prototype is built to verify the simulation results. The stated control scheme for the UPQC reduces the following issues, voltage sags, voltage swells, harmonic distortions (voltage and current), unbalanced supply voltage and unbalanced power factor under dynamic and steady-state operating conditions.
Purpose: The paper employs the theory of planned behaviour, social identity theory, social presence theory, and social exchange theory to propose a model for using the social media platform Facebook in distributing information in universities. Research design, data and methodology: Data were obtained from 618 students at Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) in Vietnam. The study used structural equation modeling in SPSS and the statistical analysis software AMOS version 24 to explore the information distribution role of Facebook. Results: Findings reveal that subjective norms and social presence play a key role in driving students to use Facebook for studying. In addition, university administrators can boost student satisfaction and academic achievement through Facebook. Interestingly, students who strongly identify with the brand name of the university have a strong connection with the university are more likely to engage in behaviors supportive toward the university. Conclusions: These findings show that Facebook had played a key information distribution role in universities. Thus, the study provides the executive board of the university and teachers can gain new understanding of why students employ Facebook for studying as well as capitalize on the platform to improve several operational metrics such as brand identification, student satisfaction, and academic achievement.
This paper proposed a new method in the implementation of ISDN (integrated services digital network) LAPD (link access procedure on the D-channel) and LAPB (link access procedure on the B-channel) protocols. The proposed method in this paper implement ISDW LAPD protocol through multi-tasking operating system and adopt a kernel part that is changed operating system to target board. The features of implemented system are (1) the para.llel processing of the events generated at each layer, as follows (2) the supporting necessary timers for the implementation of ISDW LAPD protocol from the kernel part by using software, (3) the recommanded SAP (Service Access Point) from CCITT was composed by using port function in the operating system. With the proposed method, the protocols of ISDH layerl, layer2 and layer3 (call control) were implemented by using the kernel part and related tests were carried out by connecting the ISDH terminal simulator to ISDN S-interface system using the ISDN LAPD protocol The results showed that ISDW S-interface terminals could be discriminated by TEI (Terminal Equipment Identifier) assignment in layer 2 (LAPD) and the message transmission of layer 3 was verified by establishing the multi-frame transmission and then through the path established by the LAPD protocol, a user data was tranfered and received on B-channel with LAPB protocol Thererfore, as new efficient ISDN S-interface environment was implemented in the thesis, it was verified that the implemented system can be utilized by connecting ISDW in the future to transfer a medical image data.

The hardware of the human body is given the life force by the sentence which is the physiological software that the program for cell activation by the electrical signal enters. The aim of this study is to create a better therapeutic environment for the human body that groaned with errors in the physiological and cognitive systems that are transmitted to neurons and neurons. The research found that there is a strong energy source that can operate the motherboard of the heart very quickly in the rated Sijo. This is because it is confirmed that new coding and re-coding of a number of rated sijo, or a new syllable of one syllable followed by the original syllable of the original syllable, are formed quickly and therapeutically.This has led to the possibility of literary therapy for mankind to upgrade the human psychic system in abundance through the function of the interaction between the sentence as a conductor that is synaptically connected to the human body and the mainboard of the mind attached to the human body without side effects in the future.

This paper describes the performance improvement of Software (SW) digital filter using GPU (Graphical Processing Unit). The previous developed SW digital filter has a problem that it operates on a CPU (Central Processing Unit) basis and has a slow speed. The GPU was introduced to filter the data of the EAVN (East Asian VLBI Network) observation to improve the operation speed and to process data with other stations through filtering, respectively. In order to enhance the computational speed of the SW digital filter, NVIDIA Titan V GPU board with built-in Tensor Core is used. The processing speed of about 0.78 (1Gbps, 16MHz BW, 16-IF) and 1.1 (2Gbps, 32MHz BW, 16-IF) times for the observing time was achieved by filtering the 95 second observation data of 2 Gbps (512 MHz BW, 1-IF), respectively. In addition, 2Gbps data is digitally filtered for the 1 and 2Gbps simultaneously observed with KVN (Korean VLBI Network), and compared with the 1Gbps, we obtained similar values such as cross power spectrum, phase, and SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio). As a result, the effectiveness of developed SW digital filter using GPU in this research was confirmed for utilizing the data processing and analysis. In the future, it is expected that the observation data will be able to be filtered in real time when the distributed processing optimization of source code for using multiple GPU boards.

In this paper, we implement robot which are ability to recognize obstacles and moving automatically to destination. we present two results in this paper; hardware implementation of image processing board and software implementation of visual feedback algorithm for a self-controlled robot. In the first part, the mobile robot depends on commands from a control board which is doing image processing part. We have studied the self controlled mobile robot system equipped with a CCD camera for a long time. This robot system consists of a image processing board implemented with DSPs, a stepping motor, a CCD camera. We will propose an algorithm in which commands are delivered for the robot to move in the planned path. The distance that the robot is supposed to move is calculated on the basis of the absolute coordinate and the coordinate of the target spot. And the image signal acquired by the CCD camera mounted on the robot is captured at every sampling time in order for the robot to automatically avoid the obstacle and finally to reach the destination. The image processing board consists of DSP (TMS320VC33), ADV611, SAA7111, ADV7l76A, CPLD(EPM7256ATC144), and SRAM memories. In the second part, the visual feedback control has two types of vision algorithms: obstacle avoidance and path planning. The first algorithm is cell, part of the image divided by blob analysis. We will do image preprocessing to improve the input image. This image preprocessing consists of filtering, edge detection, NOR converting, and threshold-ing. This major image processing includes labeling, segmentation, and pixel density calculation. In the second algorithm, after an image frame went through preprocessing (edge detection, converting, thresholding), the histogram is measured vertically (the y-axis direction). Then, the binary histogram of the image shows waveforms with only black and white variations. Here we use the fact that since obstacles appear as sectional diagrams as if they were walls, there is no variation in the histogram. The intensities of the line histogram are measured as vertically at intervals of 20 pixels. So, we can find uniform and nonuniform regions of the waveforms and define the period of uniform waveforms as an obstacle region. We can see that the algorithm is very useful for the robot to move avoiding obstacles.
The Motion controllers provide the sophisticated performance and enhanced capabilities we can see in the movements of robotic systems. Several types of motion controllers are available, some based on the kind of overall control system in use. PLC (Programmable Logic Controller)-based motion controllers still predominate. The many peoples use MCU (Micro Controller Unit)-based board level motion controllers and will continue to in the near-term future. These motion controllers control a variety motor system like robotic systems. Generally, They consist of large and complex circuits. PLC-based motion controller consists of high performance PLC, development tool, and application specific software. It can be cause to generate several problems that are large size and space, much cabling, and additional high coasts. MCU-based motion controller consists of memories like ROM and RAM, I/O interface ports, and decoder in order to operate MCU. Additionally, it needs DPRAM to communicate with host PC, counter to get position information of motor by using encoder signal, additional circuits to control servo, and application specific software to generate a various velocity profiles. It can be causes to generate several problems that are overall system complexity, large size and space, much cabling, large power consumption and additional high costs. Also, it needs much times to calculate velocity profile because of generating by software method and don't generate various velocity profiles like arbitrary velocity profile. Therefore, It is hard to generate expected various velocity profiles. And further, to embed real-time OS (Operating System) is considered for more reliable motion control. In this paper, the structure of chip-based precision motion controller is proposed to solve above-mentioned problems of control systems. This proposed motion controller is designed with a FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Arrays) by using the VHDL (Very high speed integrated circuit Hardware Description Language) and Handel-C that is program language for deign hardware. This motion controller consists of Velocity Profile Generator (VPG) part to generate expected various velocity profiles, PCI Interface part to communicate with host PC, Feedback Counter part to get position information by using encoder signal, Clock Generator to generate expected various clock signal, Controller part to control position of motor with generated velocity profile and position information, and Data Converter part to convert and transmit compatible data to D/A converter.

As the interest in the 4th industrial revolution and metaverse increases, metaverse with multi edge structure is proposed and noted. Metaverse is a structure that can create digital doctor-like system through a large amount of image processing and data transmission in a multi edge system. Since metaverse application requires calculating performance, which can reconstruct 3-D space, edge hardware's insufficient calculating performance has been a problem. To provide streamable AI software in runtime, image processing, and data transmission, which is edge's loads, needs to be lightweight. Also lightweight at the edge leads to power consumption reduction of the entire metaverse application system. In this paper, we propose collaborative edge-cloud image processing with remote image processing method and Region of Interest (ROI) to overcome edge's power performance and build streamable and runtime executable AI software. The proposed structure was implemented using a PC and an embedded board, and the reduction of time, power, and network communications were verified.

Purpose: PBA buried in underwater requires high reliability because of its mission critical characteristic and harsh operational environment during its life cycle. Therefore, various reliability improvement activities are necessary. The defect on PBA manufacturing process have been studied, as a result, many activities and standards have been presented. However, there are less studies regarding failure pattern on physical features based on design. In this paper, we studied a possible failure patten based on physical features that is related with manufacturing process of PBA. And reliability improvement design based on PoF (Physical of Failure) were intruduced in this paper. Methods: A reliability prediction simulation were performed on the components A and B of the H system using Sherlock Software which is a PoF commercial tool from DFR solution. Solder fatigue and PTH fatigue analysis based on thermal cycling profiles and random vibration was analyzed on three earthquake response spectrum. Result: It was validated that life time and reliability improvement design through solder fatigue and PTH fatigue analysis in case of component. For compoenet B, random vibration fatigue was additionally analyzed and validated reliability for earthquakes profile. Conclusion: In design stage prior to manufacturing, PoF can be analyzed, and it is possible to make a reliability improvement/validated design using design data. This study can be applied in every design step and contribute to make more stable development product.
In this study, the risk of heat generation due to normal and overload currents that vary with the abnormal loosening angle of wire-connecting bolts were identified. The risks were analyzed based on the thermal characteristics to minimize the carbonization accidents of terminal blocks inside distribution panels typically used in industrial sites. We applied a method for measuring the heating temperature and temperature variations in the terminal blocks in real-time by installing a resistance temperature detector sensor board in the terminal block. The experimental results showed that the terminal block model with a low-rated current exhibited a higher heating temperature, thus, confirming the need to select the terminal block capacity based on load currents. Additionally, the higher the rated current of the terminal block with a high-rated current and the higher the degree of loosening, the faster the carbonization point. Such heating temperature monitoring enabled real-time thermal temperature measurement and a step-by-step risk level setting through thermal analysis. The results of the measurement and analysis of carbonization risks can provide a theoretical basis for further research regarding the risk of fire due to carbonization. Furthermore, the deterioration measurement method using the temperature sensor board developed in this study is widely applicable to prevent fires caused by poor electrical contact as well as risk-level management.
