The Characteristic of the Hydraulic Control System with Bleed-off Center Type of a Compact Excavator (소형 굴삭기용 브리드 오프 센터형 유압 제어 시스템의 특성)

  • In this study, the characteristics of the hydraulic control system with bleed-off center type of a compact excavator were analyzed using developed analysis program. From the parametric analysis, the effects of each factor were revealed. Through the simulation with varying parameters, the system parameter effects on the controllable region and the pump pressure and load pressure variations were studied. The results were compared with the experimental ones. The results and discussions of the present paper could aid in the performance improvement of a hydraulic control system of a compact excavator.

SCARA robot calibration on off-line programming (오프라인 프로그래밍에서 스카라 로봇의 보정)

  • Off-line programming systems are widely spread in assembly lines of minute electronic products to huge offshore structures. Any OLP system has to be calibrated before the on-line robot tasks are performed because there are inherent differences between the CAD model on OLP and the real robot workspace. This paper uses simple geometric expressions to propose a calibration method applicable to an OLP for SCARA robots. A positioning task on the two-dimensional horizontal surface was used in the error analysis of a SCARA robot and the anaysis shows that the inaccuracy results from the two error sources non-zero offset angles of two rotational joints at the zero return and differences in link lengths. Pen marks on a sheet of plotting paper are used to determine the accurate data on the joint centers and link dimensions. The calculated offset angles and link lengths are fed back to the OLP for the calibration of the CAD model of the robot and task environments.

  • At present, environmental control system of greenhouses related with industrial automation in the korea is composed of on/off-type control machine using a timer in facilities requiring intensive labor. This system, however, makes it difficult for us to find out any status of environmental control system in greenhouses when we are situated in a remote area or at midnight. In this paper we improved a system to monitor status for manual and automatic control by means of PC by replacing an existing on/off-type controller with a display panel, It also attempts to implement DB for information on corps and to provide a user with the efficiency of getting information for plants.

  • In case of flooding, the underwater flight vehicle (UFV) executes the blowing by blowing ballast tanks off using high pressure air (HPA), while it also uses control planes and a propulsion unit to reduce the overshoot depth caused by a flooding and blowing sequence. However, the conventional whole HPA blow-off method lets the body on the surface after blowing despite slight flooding. This results in the unnecessary mission failure or body exposure. Therefore, it is necessary to keep the body at the near surface by the blowing control while reducing the overshoot depth. To solve this problem, an adaptive blowing control algorithm, which is based on the decomposition method expanding the expert knowledge in depth control and the adaptive method using fuzzy basis function expansion (FBFE), is proposed. To verify the performance of the proposed algorithm, the blowing control of UFV is performed. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm effectively solves the problems in the UFV blowing control system online.

  • This paper is concerned with the accurate position control of a rodless pneumatic cylinder using On/Off solenoid valve. A novel Intelligent Modified Pulse Width Modulation(MPWM) is newly proposed. The control performance of this pneumatic cylinder depends on the external loads. To overcome this problem , switching of control parameter using artificial neural network is newly proposed, which estimates external loads on rodless pneumatic cylinder using this training neural network. As an underlying controller, a state feedback controller using position, velocity and acceleration is applied in the switching control the system. The effectiveness of the proposed control algorithms are demonstrated...on/off solenoid valve, load estimation, MPWM, Artificial neural network.

  • Smart Multiple-Tap to be introduced in this paper, is an electronic device that controls the Multibple-Tap through the Smartphone. It runs on network and has an inbuilt Zigbee communication module. Thus, users can control home devices from remote through home server. Mentioned home server is operated as a gateway and is connected with smart devices on the Internet. To sum up, Users using this Smart Multiple-Tap can check the state information of the multi-tap ON/OFF and can control immediately by smartphone. also, Smart Multiple-Tap perfectly shut down the standby power. when users turn off each of the Smart Multiple-Tap's circle, It drives automatically lowest electricity-consuming mode and shut down the standby power by its own built-in SSR module. therefore, it will bring the energy saving effect on environment using Smart Multiple-Tap.

  • Congestion may take place in the ATM network because of high-speed cell transmission features, and cell delay and loss also can be caused by unexpected traffic variation. Thus. traffic control mechanisms are needed. One of them to decrease congestion is the cell shaping. This paper proposes a hybrid type cell shaper composed of a Leaky Bucket with token pool, EWMA with time window, and a spacing control buffer. The simulator BONeS with the ON/OFF traffic source model evaluates the performance of the proposed cell shaping method. Simulation results show that the cell shaping concerning the respective source traffics is adapted to and then controlled on the mean bit rate.

  • This paper is concerned with effective operating method of pneumatic on-off valves for improving position control accuracy, valve life-time and position settling time using modified pulse width modulation with dead-zone. The pneumatic system using on-off valves studied in this paper has advantage of simple construction and low cost compared with a system with servo-valves. The performance of proposed control system is investigated experimentally for the position control of a pneumatic cylinder using on-off valves. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm for valve operation can be used to obtain fast and accurate position control and to prevent on-off valves from unnecessary switching.

  • In this paper, we have designed and implemented lamp control system in underground parking place using WWW. The proposed system consists of lamp control system which is connected by RS-485 communication bus and monitoring system (WebPL) which can provide web interface using the web server. The lamp control system is controlled through a user command within the monitoring system (WebPL), senses moving object and turns lamps in underground parking place on or off. The monitoring system displays the status values of on or off received from lamp control system on the web browser and can real-timely control lamps in underground parking place on the web browser.

  • Machine of textiles let off is equipment supplying constantly fabrics. Nowdays, as it is replaced band - brake type with hydraulic motor driven type, we looked into characteristic of hydraulic solenoid pilot direction valve(SPDV) for controlling acceleration performance of hydraulic motor. This study deals with controlling the initial speed of textiles let off machine. Finally, to control the initial speed of hydraulic motor, we controlled the adjustment screw of SPDV by a hand. Test which was carried out in the laboratory shows that initial speed of textiles let off could be improved by controlling adjustment screw of SPDV. Also, the results of experiment work were compared with dynamic characteristic of other on/off solenoid direction valve(SDV).
