아로마테라피가 산전 및 산후 피로에 미치는 영향: 체계적 문헌고찰 및 메타분석 (Fatigue relief by aromatherapy use in prenatal and postnatal women: a systematic review and meta-analysis)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this systematic review was to examine aromatherapy interventions for prenatal and postnatal women, and to determine the effectiveness of these interventions on fatigue. Methods: Six national and international databases were reviewed to retrieve and collect studies published up to September 7, 2021, describing randomized controlled trials and controlled clinical trials of aromatherapy interventions for prenatal and postnatal women's fatigue. Of the 323 articles initially identified, 64 duplicates were excluded and 259 were screened. After further excluding 216 articles not related to PICO framework, 10 were selected for review. Two reviewers independently selected studies and conducted data extraction and quality appraisal using Cochran's Risk of Bias and Risk of Bias Assessment Tool for Non-randomized Studies. Results: The quality of the 10 selected studies was overall satisfactory. A meta-analysis of three studies showed that aromatherapy with lavender oil produced a 0.75-point reduction in postnatal mothers' fatigue when compared to control groups. Sleep quality was also analyzed as a secondary outcome of fatigue. A meta-analysis of four studies using lavender and/or orange peel oil found that aromatherapy produced a 0.98-point improvement in postnatal mothers' quality of sleep. Although a meta-analysis could not be conducted to synthesize the findings for fatigue in pregnant women, inhalation and massage therapy using lavender oil showed positive effects on prenatal fatigue and sleep quality. Conclusion: Aromatherapy using lavender oil and orange peel oil is effective in improving prenatal and postnatal fatigue and sleep quality.

Quality Characteristics of Livestock Faeces Composts Commercially Produced in Gyeonggi Province in 2008

  • By surveying the 70 composting plants in Gyeonggi Province, the total commercial production of livestock faeces composts (LFCs) in 2008 was estimated to be about 480,000 Mg year-1 and they were manufactured mainly by using both mechanical mixer and bottom air blower. LFCs were composed mainly of chicken faeces 29.2%, pig+chicken faeces 23.1%, pig faeces 20.0%, livestock faeces+oil cake 12.3%, pig+chicken+cattle faeces 10.8% and pig+cattle faeces 4.6%. On the basis of the current official standard which was revised on March 2010, 11 composts out of surveyed 76 ones did not meet the LFCs quality standard (LQS) due to inadequate content of water (5), OM/N (1), NaCl (2) and Zn (3). The OM/N declined by adding chicken faeces and oil cake, while Ca content increased by the addition of chicken faeces and NaCl increased by adding cattle faeces.

Chemical Composition of Cactus Pear Seed Oil: phenolics identification and antioxidant activity

  • Objectives: The chemical composition of cactus pear seed oil (Opuntia ficus-indica [L.] Mill.) was analyzed in terms of its fatty acid composition, tocopherol content, phenolic identification, and the oil's phenolic-rich fraction antioxidant power was determined. Methods: Fatty acid profiling was performed by gas chromatography coupled to an FI detector. Tocopherols and phenolic compounds were analyzed by LC-FLD/UV, and the oil's phenolic-rich fraction antioxidant power was determined by phosphomolybdenum, DPPH assay and β-carotene bleaching test. Results: Fatty acid composition was marked by a high unsaturation level (83.22 ± 0.34%). The predominant fatty acid was linoleic acid (66.79 ± 0.78%), followed by oleic acid (15.16 ± 0.42%) and palmitic acid (12.70 ± 0.03%). The main tocopherol was γ-tocopherol (172.59 ± 7.59 mg/kg. In addition, Tyrosol, vanillic acid, vanillin, ferulic acid, pinoresinol, and cinnamic acid were identified as phenolic compounds in the analyzed seed oil. Moreover, the oil's phenolics-rich fraction showed a significant total antioxidant activity, scavenged DPPH up to 97.85%, and effectively protected β-carotene against bleaching (97.56%). Conclusion: The results support the potential use of cactus pear seed oil as a functional food.

Effect of Refrigeration Oil on the Condensation Heat Transfer for R-22 and R-407C Refrigerations in Microfin Tube with a U-bend

  • The present study experimentally investigated the effect of refrigeration oil on the condensation heat transfer for R-22 and R-407C in a microfin tube with a U-bend. Mineral oil and POE oil were used for R-22 and R-407C respectively. Experimental parameters were an oil concentration from 0 to 5%, a mass flux from 100 to 400 $kg/m^2s$ and an inlet quality from 0.5 to 0.9. The enhancement factors for both R-22 and R-407C refrigerants at the first straight section decreased continuously as the oil concentration increased. The decreased rapidly as the mass flux decreased and the inlet quality increased. The heat transfer coefficients in the U-bend showed the maximum at the 90$^{\circ}$position. the heat transfer coefficients at the second straight section within the dimensionless length of 48 were larger by a maximum of 33% than the average heat transfer coefficient at the first straight section.

Effects of Different Oil Sources and Vitamin E in Breeder Diet on Egg Quality, Hatchability and Development of the Neonatal Offspring

  • Effects of polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA) and vitamin E (VE) supplementation in the diet of breeder hens on the egg quality and hatchability, lipid peroxides of the egg yolk, and development of the newly-hatched offspring chicks were investigated. A total of 800 Avian 48, 28 wk-old broiler breeders were assigned randomly to 4 groups with 4 replicates of 45 females and 5 males. Each group was fed one of the following four diets with different oil sources and levels of VE: corn oil (CO), fish oil (FO), CO+VE and FO+VE. The results showed that: i) Addition of FO in the breeder diet reduced the whole egg weight, yolk weight, albumen weight, yolk color score and neonatal offspring chick body weight without affecting the hatchability as compared to the CO treatment. ii) Addition of VE efficiently reduced the lipid peroxides of egg yolk from hens fed diets containing FO. iii) VE in the breeder diet significantly promoted the development of liver and heart of the chick offspring.

수경재배시 배양액 내 이온농도에 따른 두 종의 백리향 생육 및 정유 성분 비교 (Comparison of Growth and Essential Oil Composition in Two Hydroponically Grown Species of Thymes at Different Nutrient Solution Strength)

  • Thymus속의 common thyme과 thyme의 담액수경 재배시 배양액의 이온농도를 달리하여 두 종의 생육과 품질을 비교하였다. 배양액의 이온농도는 1.2, 2.4, 4.8 그리고 $7.2mS.cm^{-1}$로 하였다. 두 종 모두 $0.5(EC=1.2\;mS.cm^{-1})$배와 1배의 낮은 이온농도 처리에서 생육이 좋았다. Common thyme과 lemon thyme의 생육은 배양액내 이온농도가 높아질수록 건물율은 증가했으나 초장, 근장과 생체중은 감소하였다. 엽록소 함량은 lemon thyme에서 더 높았으나 비타민 C의 함량과 정유함량은 common thyme에서 더 높았다. 두 종간의 주요 정유 성분 차이를 보면, common thyme의 주성분은 thymo과 carvacrol이고, lemon thyme은 geranio과 ${\alpha}-citral$로 각각 정유 성분의 50~70%를 차지하고 있다. 이들의 각 주성분의 함량은 생육이 좋았던 0.5배에서 가장 많았다. 결과적으로 수경재배시 common thyme과 lemon thyme 모두 허브 배양액 0.5배액으로 재배시 우수한 품질의 작물을 생산할 수 있었다.

엔진오일 누유 가시화 및 식별력 증대를 위한 기동화력장비 엔진 공정개선 (Process Improvement of Land System Engine for Visualization and Increasing Identification of Engine Oil Leakage)

  • 최근 2년간 군 기동화력장비의 엔진 생산 공정 중에 발생한 주요 품질문제 중에는 엔진오일 누유가 가장 많은 비중을 차지하고 있다. 이를 최소화하기 위해서는 엔진오일 누유에 대한 근본적인 원인 파악과 다빈도로 발생되는 누유 부위에 대한 파악이 필요할 뿐만 아니라 더 나아가 품질비용 감소를 위해서는 엔진 조립 및 검사공정에서 누유에 대한 사전식별이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 형광염료가 주입된 엔진오일을 통하여 누유를 가시화하고 엔진오일 누유 현상에 대한 식별성을 증대시켜 군 기동화력장비 엔진의 생산품질을 향상시키고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 기존에 사용하는 엔진오일과 형광염료가 주입된 엔진오일의 특성분석을 통하여 대체 가능성에 대해 검토하였으며 엔진오일 주입 공정과 누유검사 공정을 개선하여 엔진오일 누유에 의하여 발생할 수 있는 정비기간 및 시간을 최소화 시키고자 하였다. 최종적으로 본 연구결과를 토대로 군 기동화력장비 엔진의 신뢰도 확보 및 엔진 생산업체의 품질관리 능력 향상을 통하여 엔진 생산 공정간 발생할 수 있는 품질비용을 최소화 시킬 수 있다고 사료된다.

국내 유통 엔진오일 품질 모니터링 (Quality Monitoring for Domestic Distributing Engine Oil)

  • 자동차용 윤활유가 국내 윤활유 시장의 35%를 차지하고 있으며, 이 중 엔진오일이 자동차용 윤활유의 77%를 차지하고 있다. 운전자와 엔진보호를 위해 유통 엔진오일의 품질이 적절하게 관리되어져야 한다. 하지만 KS제품과 합성엔진오일(합성기유가 30% 이상 포함된 제품)은 석유 및 석유대체연료 사업법상 품질검사에서 제외되어져 있다. 본 연구에서는 국내 유통되고 있는 합성엔진오일 30개 제품에 대한 품질 모니터링을 실시하였다. 품질 모니터링 결과, 2개 제품이 품질이 부적합하였는데, 이 중 1개 제품은 해외에서 수입한 합성엔진오일이며, 다른 1개 제품은 KS제품이면서 합성엔진오일이었다. 또한 고온모사증류시험(SIMDIST)을 이용해 엔진오일의 패턴을 분석한 결과, 해외 수입제품 몇 개를 제외하고는 대부분 일반 광유 엔진오일의 전형적인 넓은 탄소수 분포 패턴을 보였다. 따라서 소비자의 피해를 예방하기 위해 KS제품과 합성엔진오일에 대한 적절한 품질관리 법규가 필요한 것으로 판단된다.

쑥과 정어리유의 첨가가 계육의 품질 및 저장성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Mugwort and Fish Oil Addition on Quality and Shelf-Life in Meat-type Chicken)

  • 본 연구는 육계에 오메가 3계열을 다량 함유한 정어리유 1%와 쑥의 급여수준(0, 1, 2, 4%)에 따라 4처리구로(T1, T2, T3, T4)구분하여 5주간 급여 후 도계하여 대퇴 부위 근육을 냉장온도$(4{\pm}1^{\circ}C)$에서 10일간 저장하면서 pH, VBN, TBARS 및 육색의 변화를 조사하였다. 증체량은 T3구에서 가장 낮았으며, pH는 대조구에 비하여 처리구에서 높았고, 저장 기간이 경과하면서 유의성 있게 상승하였다(P<0.05). VBN과 TBARS는 처리구에서 저장기간이 지남에 따라 증가하였을지라도 대조구는 처리구에 비하여 높은 경향을 나타내었다. 육색은 처리구에서 $L^*$$b^*$값이 대조구보다 높은 경향이었다. 이상의 실험 결과로 미루어 육계사료에서 정어리유를 1%급여시에 2%까지 첨가하면 계육의 품질 및 저장성 개선 효과가 있는 것으로 사료된다.

쌀을 이용한 약과의 조리과학적 연구 (A Study on Quality of Rice-Yackwa)

  • Yackwa is a Korean traditional fried cake made by went flour, sesame oil and honey. This study was investigated to the Rice-Yackwa for the purpose of the improvement of Yackwa's quality and rice consumption by sensory evaluation and instrumental measurement. It was resulted that taste and flavor of Rice-Yackwas were better than those of Wheat-Yackwa by sensory evaluation. We tested whether the mesh of the rice (80,100,120) and swelling agents (baking power, soju : Korean alcholic beverage) affected the Rice-Yackwa's swelling or not. In result, not by soju but by baking powder Rice-Yackwas were swelled. But Rice-Yackwa was so hard, that the Yackwas were made by the two different compositions of mixed flour (rice : wheat ; 75:25, 50:50) exibited softer than those made by rice. The hardness of 25 g% mixed flour Yackwa was improved. And we examined the softening effect on rice and mixed flour Yackwa by the increasing storage periods (1, 2, 3, 5 days). Rice-Yackwa's hardness was changed more greatly than Wheat-Yackwa's by storage periods. In addition to we inspected the effluence of sesame oil in the pross of frying. Sesame oil (40%) was drown out the Rice-Yackwa.
