Chemical constituents from the whole plants of Euphorbia supina Rafin (애기땅빈대의 화학적 성분)

  • Eight compounds were isolated from the whole plants of Euphorbia supina (Euphorbiaceae) through repeated silica gel, YMC gel and Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography. Their chemical structures were elucidated as 7-hydroxy-6-methoxycoumarin (scopoletin) (1), p-hydroxybenzaldehyde (2), methyl gallate (3), gallic acid (4), quercetin (5), quercetin $3-O-{\alpha}-L-arabinofuranoside$ (avicularin) (6), kaempferol $3-O-{\alpha}-L-arabinofuranoside$ (juglanin) (7) and kaempferol $3-O-{\beta}-D-glucopyranoside$ (astragaline) (8) by spectroscopic (NMR and MS) analysis.

Effect of BOSINHWAN(BSH) Water Extract on Renal Lipid Peroxide Content and Metabolic Enzyme System (노화과정(老化過程)의 흰쥐에서 보신환(補腎丸)이 신장(腎臟)의 대사효소계(代謝酵素系)에 미치는 영향(影響))

  • The experimental studies were carried out in order to prove the effect of BSH water extract on Renal lipid peroxide content and metabolic enzyme system experimental studies about peroxide content, transferase, enzyme activity were carried out. The result were obtained as follows : 1. In the change of lipid peroxide of renal tissue, all group was decreased, more of two weeks was decreased. 2. In the Change of BUN of renal tissue, all group was decreased. 3. In the change of LDH of urine, all group was not significant. 4. In the change of ${\gamma}$-glutamyltransferasde, Xanthine oxidase, Aldehyde oxidase of urine, all group was decreased. 5. In the change of protein-bound SH, nonprotein-bound SH, glutathione, glutathione S-transferase, ${\gamma}$-Glutamylcystein synthetase of renal tissue, all group was increased. From above results, BSH was had significant effects on the senile, so it is expected to clinical application on senility and geratology.

Hepatoprotective Lignan Compound from Schizandrae Fructus on Tacrine-induced Cytotoxicity in Hep G2 Cells

  • In the course of search for hepatoprotective agents from oriental traditional medicines, one compound was isolated from the MeOH extract of the fruits of Schizandra chinensis, and its structure was determined as gomisin J(1). The evaluation for hepatoprotective activity of isolated compound 1 on drug-induced cytotoxicity was conducted, and compound 1 showed protective effect with an EC$_{50}$value of 86.0 ${\pm}$ 5.3 ${\mu}$M against tacrine-induced cytotoxicity in Hep G2 cells. One of the well-known hepatoprotective agents, silybin, used as a positive control, and the hepatoprotective effect of compound 1 is similar with that of silybin (EC$_{50}$ value = 90.5 ${\pm}$ 9.8 ${\mu}$M).

  • Since the 1970s, rapid Industrialization has brought urbanization nationwide. In this paper, thirty one years data(1973-2003) ate used to evaluate variability of major cities. Before assessing the context between urbanization and variability of rainfall, the rural areas are selected to compare with urban ones. Thus, average, trends, variations, and nonparametric frequency analysis methods were employed for evaluating variation of annual precipitation, seasonal precipitation, 1 hour annual maximum design rainfall and 24 hour annual maximum design rainfall for both urban and rural areas. The result have shown that summer precipitation relatively increased In urban areas compared to that in rural areas.

  • When DRM systems are built on a specific computing platform and a coding algorithm, the interoperability among them will be improbable. For enhanced compatibility, MOSES has been developed such that it has a structure that can be decomposed into independent modules for interoperability with other DRM systems with IPMP functionality. In MOSES, security in contents transaction is provided by JPWallet which controls licenses with key management. In this paper, we present the structure of JPWallet and how the keys are handled between contents servers and contents-consuming clients. The PDA-based codes from the prototype MOSES system have been ported into PC-based codes and tested for compatibility. Analysis of JPWallet, which is the core of MOSES, will contribute to the standardization of domestic IPMP systems compatible with global standards.

  • The study about the concrete to use recently a light weight aggregate, processed actively. And concrete pumping with a high pressure pump has been popularized, the mechanical development, such as high pressure pumps or pipes, is progressing rapidly. Concrete placing by pumping has the advantage of the reduction of the construction period with workability, easiness of work and the increase of placing, but the quality variation of concrete is caused by pumping is seldom considered, including the increase of the pipe length by high-rising and large-sizing, there by the loss of the unit quantity of water, with pumpability or workability deteriorated. In this research, we will compare and analyze before pumping and after pumping samples of ready-mixed light weight concrete. The result of study as follow. The case of a light weight concrete which the low slump is more decrement compared with high slump light weight concrete in after pumping samples. After pumping the water by pressure of a pump was absorbed to the aggregate inside, and it showed an increase of compression strength about $5{\sim}20%$.

Sliding Mode Observer Driver IC Integrated Gate Driver for Sensorless Speed Control of Wide Power Range of PMSMs

  • This work proposes a highly efficient sensorless motor driver chip for various permanent-magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) in a wide power range. The motor driver chip is composed of two important parts. The digital part is a sensorless controller consisting mainly of an angle estimation block and a speed control block. The analog part consists of a gate driver, which is able to sense the phase current of a motor. The sensorless algorithms adapted in this paper include a sliding mode observer (SMO) method that has high robust characteristics regarding parameter variations of PMSMs. Fabricated SMO chips detect back electromotive force signals. Furthermore, motor current-sensing blocks are included with a 10-bit successive approximation analog-to-digital converter and various gain current amplifiers for proper sensorless operations. Through a fabricated SMO chip, we were able to demonstrate rated powers of 32 W, 200 W, and 1,500 W.

Sensorless Sine-Wave Controller IC for PM Brushless Motor Employing Automatic Lead-Angle Compensation

  • This paper presents an advanced sensorless permanent magnet (PM) brushless motor controller integrated circuit (IC) employing an automatic lead-angle compensator. The proposed IC is composed of not only a sensorless sine-wave motor controller but also an isolated gate-driver and current self-sensing circuit. The fabricated IC operates in sensorless mode using a position estimator based on a sliding mode observer and an open-loop start-up. For high efficiency PM brushless motor driving, an automatic lead-angle control algorithm is employed, which improves the efficiency of a PM brushless motor system by tracking the minimum copper loss under various load and speed conditions. The fabricated IC is evaluated experimentally using a commercial 200 W PM brushless motor and power switches. The proposed IC is successfully operated without any additional sensors, and the proposed algorithm maintains the minimum current and maximum system efficiency under $0N{\cdot}m$ to $0.8N{\cdot}m$ load conditions. The proposed IC is a feasible sensorless speed controller for various applications with a wide range of load and speed conditions.
