A Study on the Education Training Satisfaction of Employees in General Hospitals (종합병원 직원의 교육훈련 만족에 관한 연구)

  • This study is an empirical research to identify difference of education training satisfaction by demographic variables, and to investigate the influence of education training satisfaction on the member's organizational commitment in general hospitals. As a result of ANOVA, t-test based on the data of 325 employees in 7 general hospitals in Korea, education training satisfaction has a significant difference by a construct and demographic variables. Education training satisfaction has a significant difference by a construct such as education training system, education training administration and education training practice. Education training satisfaction has a significant difference by occupation, career, scholarship. Education training satisfaction has a partly significant difference by status, age. But it has not a significant difference by sex distinction. Satisfaction of education training system and education training practice has a significantly positive relationship with organizational commitment. But Satisfaction of education training administration has a partly positive relationship with organizational commitment. By these results, the advanced education training structure needs to equipped in order to elevate management performance in general hospitals.

The Quality of Life Among Middle-aged Men and Women (중년기 남녀의 삶의 질에 관한연구I)

  • This study was designed to investigate the quality of life among middle-aged men and women in Seoul. The primary purposes were to describe perceived life quality of the middle-aged and to examine the relationship among the selected variables. The data for this study were collected utilizing multistage area random sampling method 524 respondents were analyzed using SPSS PC+ statistical package. The major findings are as follows: 1. The level of life quality perceived by middle-aged was 4.7 out of 7 and relatively normally distributed. 2. The quality of life of middle-aged were differed by occupation family income amount of saving home ownership religion and residence. 3. The correlates of life quality were family life satisfaction job satisfaction financial satisfaction health satisfaction leisure satisfaction and stress. 4. Among the variables family life satisfaction was the strongest predictor variable. Thirty six percent of the total variances were explained by family life atisfaction job satisfaction stress health satisfaction and financial satisfaction.

  • Objectives : The aim of this study was to investigate changes in job satisfaction of hospital workers according to different occupations at a university hospital in Seoul. Methods : A survey questionnaire was sent out to people working in a University Hospital in Seoul. Four hundred questionnaires were included in the final analysis. Results : The results of this study are as follows. Sense of accomplishment was a significant job satisfaction factor resulting in a high level of satisfaction. Work environment, compensation and job stability also affected job satisfaction; however, satisfaction levels appeared to be relatively low. Conclusions : When looking at the most important factors among the influencing factors that the members of the organization thought were most important for job satisfaction, the results showed that achievement, work environment, job stability and compensation were important factors.

A Study on the Well-Being of the Family Life Among the Rural Housewives According to the Satisfaction of the Leisure (농촌 주부의 여가만족도에 따른 가정생활복지감)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate some related factors which influence the well-being of the family life among the rural housewives, based on the satisfaction of the leisure. Questionnaires were distributed to the 200 housewives residing in Anseong. The 187 data obtained were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, F-test, Duncan’s multiple range test and correlation. The major findings of this study were summarized as follows. (1) There were significant differences on the satisfaction of sports leisure, culture center leisure and music and play leisure among the rural housewives according to the social demographic variables. (2) There were significant differences on the family life well-being among the rural housewives according to the satisfaction of sports leisure, the satisfaction of music and play leisure, the satisfaction of culture center leisure, the occupation of premarriage and the number of family members. Based on the above findings, it has been found that the satisfaction of leisure remains important factors to guide according to the radical changes. If greater attentions should be directed to the satisfaction of leisure activities, the quality of family life could be improved and stabilized.

  • The Study was carried out for the purpose of investigating the degree of perception in nursing activities. The data of this study were collected by self-reported questionnaire composed of 5 point rating scale measure the ideal level and the performance level of nurses activity. For the analysis of the data, percentage, MANOVA and ANOVA were 231 nurses in 3 general hospitals in Taegu. Data was administrated from October 4 through 14, 1994. The results were as follow : 1. The average mean score for the ideal level was 4.19 with a maximum possible score 5points. The highest mean score was Infection Controll and the lowest mean score was nutrition The average mean score for the performance level was 3.75, the highest mean score was fluid and electrolyte, the lowest mean score was nutrition. In the desirable nursing pergormance, Education was found the highest response above charge nurse, Medication was found the highest response above General nurse, environment was found the highest response above aide. 2. In the analysis of the relationship between the ideal level and th performance level, significant defference was found in age, position, career, marital status, occupation satisfaction, Nursing unit, parent. 3. In the analysis of the relationship between the ideal level and the performance level and the general characteristics, significant difference was found in marital status in the ideal level of direct nursing care, significant difference was found in age, position, marital status, nursing unit in the ideal level of indirect nursing care, significant difference was found in age, position, career, marital status, occupation satisfaction, nursing unit in the performance level of direct nursing care. significant difference was found in age (25-29) and above 30 career(4-7 and 7), occupation satisfaction(good and moderate, good and poor) in scheffe test of the performance level of direct nursing care.

A Study on the Leisure Activities and Their Constraints of Housewives (주부의 여가활동과 여가제약요인에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the leisure activities of housewives, to identify the factors that influence leisure activities, and to explore the factors contribute to their life satisfaction. So, this study analyses the effects of econo-demographic and socio-cultural variables and of leisure constraint factors on the leisure activities of housewives. And it deals with how these variables and the leisure activities influence life satisfaction of housewives. For these puoposes, 508 housewives residing in Seoul & Daegu were selected for interviews. For data analysis such statistical methods as ANOVA, t-test, Pearson's correlation, adn Multiple Regression Analysis can be summarised. The main findings of the research are as follows: 1. Leisure acivities are classified in Self-developmental, Home-oriented, Time-consuming, Social and Children-concerned types by the technique of factor analysis. The average particiation level was high in Time-consuming type, but low in Self-developmental type. 2. The participation level of leisure activities shows significant differences by selected variables: The Self-developmental type shows significant differences by housewife's education level, income, husband's occupation, role orientation, home management type and leisure constraints. And Children-concerned type was differed to number of family nember, number of children, age of housewife and age of housewife and age of the youngst child. 3. The preference level of leisure activities differ by housewife's education level, income, husband's occupation, home management type and leisure constraints in the Self-developmental and the Social type. And the preference level of Home-oriented leisure activities was high in the middle class of income and husband's occupation. 4. The preference and participation level of leisure activities show differences. And the variables affecting the differences were housewife's age, education level, home management type, role orientation, leisure constraint factors in the Self-developmental type, and were demographic variables such as number of family member, housewife's age in the Home-oriented type. 5. The variables which affected the level of life satisfaction independently were leisure space, income, the participation level of the Self-developmental and the Social type and the preference level of the Self-developmental type.

  • This study investigates 4P's of developing food service products(Focused on Gwangju, Jeonnam area) and intends to set the direction for the relations between product, price, promotion, place and customer satisfaction and customer occupation. Statistical techniques employed includes reliability analysis and regression analysis. The study is based on the 220-questionnaire-survey conducted from July 6 to July 20, 2009 to five foodservice companies in Gwangju. The data collected of this study were analyzed with the frequency analysis, reliability analysis, and regression analysis using the SPSS 12.0 package program. The findings of this study are as follows. Firstly, there are significant product, price, promotion and place factors that affect customer satisfaction. Secondly, there are significant product, price, promotion and place factors that affect customer occupation. Thus, food service management needs to apply product, price, promotion and place strategies aggressively.

School Uniform Satisfaction and Preference According to Level of Clothing Involvement (중학생의 의복관여도에 따른 교복의 만족도와 선호도에 관한 연구)

  • The study was initiated to research on the school uniform preference, satisfaction according to demographic factors and clothing involvement. Data were administered to 513 adolescence in middle school student living in Sunchon. For analysis of the data, frequencies, percentage, means, standard deviation, ${\chi}^2$-test, one-way anova, and duncan's multiple range test were employed. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. 1) school uniform satisfaction were shown to have the significant differences according to sex, father's occupation and education, income, the type of school. 2) school uniform preference were shown to have the significant differences according to sex, parent's education, father's occupation, income, social stratification, the type of school. 3) clothing involvement were shown to have the significant differences according to mother's education, income, social stratification. 4) school uniform preference were shown to have the significant differences according to level of clothing involvement. The higher was clothing involvement, the higher was preference to 'no static electricity', 'fashionable one' and 'one with fine air permeability and water absorbency' of school uniform.

A Study on Patient Satisfaction with Dental Medical Services in Some Areas (일부지역 치과의료서비스에 대한 환자 만족도 조사)

  • The present study was attempted to examine the patient satisfaction factors for dental services of several dental clinics to enhance their satisfaction and to provide information that will help dental clinics to have competitive edge over others. This study was conducted an on-site survey to the outpatients of a dentist at Jeollabuk-do, from March 23 to April 10, 2003. The results were as follows: 1. In the event of dental hygienists, their satisfaction with dental hygienists was statistically significantly different according to their occupation. The company employees(4.30) and self-employed people(4.36) were more satisfied with dental hygienists, and the government workers(3.86) were pleased with them the least. 2. Their satisfaction level with internal environments was statistically significantly different according to their age, educational background and occupation. Those who were in their 50s and up(4.23), who received middle-school or lower education(4.11), who were retired or unemployed (4.31), and who were self-employed(4.11) were most pleased with internal environments. 3. Their satisfaction level of external environments varied statistically significantly with their occupation. Those who were retired or jobless (3.57) expressed the most satisfaction, and the government workers(2.83) were pleased the least. 4. Their satisfaction level with treatment process differed statistically significantly with their occupation. Those who were self-employed(3.97) and who were retired or unemployed(3.89) were more pleased, and the public officials(3.34) and professionals(3.54) were satisfied the least. 5. As to satisfaction level with medical bills, those who were in their 50s and up(3.95), who received high-school education(3.80), who were self-employed(3.98), and whose monthly mean income was three million won or more(3.99) expressed the biggest satisfaction. 6. What factors affected their overall satisfaction level with treatment after receiving it was investigated, and it's found that their overall satisfaction level was under the statistically significant influence of dentists, dental hygienists, treatment process and medical bills.

A Study of the Relationship between Face Satisfaction and Makeup Satisfaction

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between women's face satisfaction and makeup satisfaction, to disclose the differences of makeup satisfaction according to demographic variables, and to examine how makeup satisfaction was influenced by face satisfaction and demographic variables. The subjects were 200 women over age 17 living in Seoul and its peripheral areas. The results of this study were as follows: Face satisfaction were drawn three factors. Factor 1 was face contour satisfaction, Factor 2 was skin satisfaction, and Factor 3 was lips and eyes satisfaction. There were significant positive relationship between factors of face satisfaction and makeup satisfaction. Also, the face contour satisfaction was in positive correlation with satisfaction of features, and the skin satisfaction was in positive correlation with that of features. There were significant positive correlations between makeup satisfaction and face shape, eyes, nose, lips, chin, and cheek bone satisfaction. Face satisfaction didn't show significant difference according to demographic variables, but makeup satisfaction showed significant difference according to age and occupation. Face satisfaction was influenced by the facial face, clarity of skin, elasticity of skin, skin color, and ages. The explanatory power of the 4 variables were 24.5%. Makeup satisfaction was influenced by lips and eyes satisfaction, ages, and skin care level. The explanatory power of the 3 variables were 13.3%.
