The notion of object oriented analysis and design in software engineering has many rewards that aid the programmer to have an understanding of and improve the program efficaciously. Object oriented metrics helps rather a lot to a programmer or developer to comprehend and unravel the thing-oriented trouble readily and exactly. Object oriented metrics helps in examining the usefulness of object oriented applied sciences or in simple phrases Object-oriented metrics depict characteristics of object-oriented programming. The intention of this paper is to have an understanding of concerning the UML, Object oriented evaluation and design and the way it plays in UML.

The purpose of this paper is to develop an integrated environment system for finite element structural analysis using OOA(Object-Oriented Analysis) and OOD(Object-Oriented Design), with may reduce inconveniencies in use such as file input of macro command and improve lacks of graphic presentation in the established finite element analysis program. This paper is attempted to suggest an easy approach to object-oriented concept and convenient programming. Two languages are used together in this paper instead of single C++ language for the development of object-oriented program. : Visual Basic with CDK(Custom Development Kit), and Borland C++ with OWL(Object Windows Library).

Object-Oriented method is a rather difficult one, theories are different as many as they are, and can hardly be found well-applied examples of OOD. So, this paper deal with the history, the needs, the benefits, basic concept of object-oriented design methods, especially the designing procedure which covers from analyzing the requirements, designing the EER(extended entity relationship) model, transforming this model into relational schema, to OODB schema step. Major contributions can be identified; First, the proposed method will ensure that it improve the productivity, increase the software quality, and elevate the maintainability. Second, it provide the framework of how object-oriented schema is constructed for OODB design. Third, suggested realistic case study will enhance the better understanding of how the current business process will be applied to the OODB design step.

Recently, large-scale enterprise information systems are commonly based on the multi-tiered middleware or frameworks to support such requirements as functional reuse, heterogeneous system resources, and multiple platforms. However, these multi-tiered or distributed multi-platform architecture incurs the interoperability issue of the components and metadata among the middleware. This paper introduces the Simple Object Application Framework (SOAF) which supports heterogeneous resources and platform-independent component-based development, with the abstract programming style of the object-oriented frameworks and the XML-SOAP based component persistence mechanism.

소프트웨어의 경제성, 시장 경쟁력 확보를 위한 소프트웨어의 재사용은 소프트웨어 공학의 주요 이슈가 되고 있다. 그 중 컴포넌트와 컴포넌트 기반의 소프트웨어 개발은 재사용성을 확보할 수 있는 가장 주목받는 방안으로 제시되고 있으며 많은 기법이나 지침들이 제안되고 있다. 기존의 캡슐화와 정보은폐를 핵심 개념으로 하는 OOD(Object Oriented Development)에 의한 소프트웨어 개발방법은 이미 재사용성, 유지보수성, 무결성, 안정성 등의 많은 장점으로 인해 학계와 산업계에서 이미 많이 보편화되어 있고 널리 이용되어 지고 있다. 하지만 CBD(Component Based Development)와 EJB(Enterprise Java Beans)에 기반하여 컴포넌트 어플리케이션을 개발하는데 있어서는 그 적용사례가 드물고 활요성 또한 검증된 바가 거의 없다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 대형 분산 시스템이라 할 수 있는 뱅킹 시스템에 CBD, EJB, UML(Unified Modeling Language)을 적용해 봄으로써 소프트웨어 개발시의 그 실무적인 유용성을 검증해 본다.
