A Design of XG-PON Architecture based on Next Generation Network Model for Supporting Dynamic Quality of Service (동적 QoS 지원을 위한 NGN 모델 기반 XG-PON 구조 설계)

  • In this paper, we designed an inter-operation architecture of 10G G-PON(Gigabit passive optical network) network and NGN(Next generation network) architecture. And, we proposed mechanism of dynamic GEM(G-PON encapsulation mode) Port-ID allocation. This is able to solve a problem of 10G G-PON inter-operation. The mechanism of dynamic GEM Port-ID allocation has OMCI(ONT management control and interface) mapping table for IP address and port number. That architecture is able to support per flow QoS(Quality of service) as well as QoS of NGN requirement. So that can improve the resource efficiency of QoS than the existing G-PON architecture.

PCR Analysis for Genetic Distances of Two Charybdis Crab Populations

  • Genomic DNA (gDNA) set apart from two populations of Korean Charybdis crab (Charybdis japonica) was augmented by PCR experiments. The five oligonucleotides primers (ONT-primers) were spent to yield the number of unique loci shared to each crab population (ULSECP) and number of loci shared by the two crab populations (LSTCP). 305 fragments (FRAGs) were identified in the Charybdis crab population A (CCPA), and 344 in the Charybdis crab population B (CCPB): 44 number of ULSECP (14.43%) in the CCPA and 110 (31.98%) in the CCPB. 44 number of LSTCP, with an average of 8.8 per primer, were detected in the two crab populations. The bandsharing (BS) value between entity's no. 01 and no. 10 was the lowest (0.371) between the two CCPs. The average bandsharing (ABS) values of individuals in the CCPA (0.575±0.014) were lesser than in those originated from the CCPB (0.705±0.011) (p < 0.05). The polar hierarchical dendrogram (PHD) achieved by the five ONT-primers denotes three genetic clusters (GCs): cluster I (CHARYBCRAB 01, 04, 05, 06, and 08), cluster II (CHARYBCRAB 02, 03, 07, 09, 10, and 11) and cluster III (CHARYBCRAB 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, and 22). The shortest genetic distance (GD) displaying significant molecular difference (MD) was between individuals CHARYBCRAB no. 18 and CHARYBCRAB no. 17 (0.055).

Ontology Development for Cultural Knowledge of Thai-Khmer Textiles

  • This study aims to develop ontologies regarding cultural knowledge of Thai-Khmer textiles by applying the Knowledge Engineering Methodology to build upon the ontologies. The process includes 1) generating the ontologies' objectives, 2) building ontologies, and 3) evaluating the ontologies. The researchers used OntOlogies Pitfall Scanner (OOPS!) to minimize defects and asked two experts to evaluate the ontologies' design. Protégé was used to design the ontologies, and WIDOCO was used to present the ontologies through the World Wide Web. It was found that the developed ontology consists of two classes, 16 sub-classes, and 16 relationships. The ontologies assessment found that there were seven items to fix according to the OOPS! software. Apart from the assessment program, the experts mentioned that all five aspects were suitable; namely, the ontology design was evaluated at 4.51 (Likert), the process of identifying scopes of definitions and objectives of development was 4.61, the applications and guidelines for further development was 4.58, the process of forming classes was 4.53, and the process of generating class's properties was 4.50.

A study ont he state-variable feedback control of a hybrid step motor (하이브리드 스텝모터의 상태변수 궤환제어에 관한 연구)

  • The primary difficulties encountered in the use of step motors are underdamped response when stopping at a specified position and dynamic instability during high-speed slewing. This paper proposes a speed and position detection scheme using the back EMF generated by the rotating permanent magnet field of a two-phase 1.8.deg. hybrid step motor, and presents its application to the state-variable feedback control of the hybrid step motor. All simulation results in a single step response show that the hybrid step motor performances such as peak overshoot and settling time are greatly improved.

  • This study was carried out ont the longterm aged reinforced concrete housings for the prediction of life expectancy and the suggestion of fundamental informations on the durable concrete. In this paper, the durability of concrete is compared with carbonation depth, and the measutrments fo carbonation depth and properties have been made on the number of cores taken from structures. And finally, the relationships between carbonation rate and such properties as strength, absorption ratio, density were examined.

  • In this study the effects of specifics surface area of cement, addition amount of gypsum and substitution ratio of gypsum anhydrite ont he physical properties of cement mortars were investigated by measruements of setting time, flow, compressive strength and hydration heat evolution rate. The results showed that fluidity of mortars was increased by 40 wt.% of maximum flow change with the decreasing specific surface area of cement from 3,500$\textrm{cm}^2$/g to 3,300${\pm}$50$\textrm{cm}^2$/g and affected by the relationship between the cement and balancing between the chemical activityof cement and solubility of calcium sulfate are desirable to prevent the fluidity of concrete from decreasing by high temperature in summer season.

  • The interest of diagnosis and maintenance of construction is increasing due to the collapse of infastructures. To obtain the complete, reliable and reproducible data ont he state of the entire structure, various non-destructive techniques are available, Especially, specific constructional characteristics of tunnels make the application of non-destructive tests more difficult. Despite of the complications of these conditions, non-destructive techniques should be capable of providing a description of the state of the tunnel lining, without the removal of the tunnel installations. In this paper, the infrared thermography technique using the difference of surface temperature was studied. The optimum equipment was selected and introduced, the principle, testing method and data anlaysis were investigated. Also, through the case study for inspection of concrete tunnel lining, this technique has proven to be a valuable non-destructive test for detecting the defects such as crack, leakage of water and exfoliation of concrete. The applicability and usefulness of this technique for estimation of concrete tunnel lining have been conformed.

Multivariate Analysis of Water Quality Data at 14 Stations in the Geum-River Watershed (금강유역 14개 관측점의 수질자료를 이용한 수질의 다변량분석)

  • The monthly water quality data measured at 14 stations located in the Geum-River watershed were clustered into 2 to 7 clusters. Furthermore, factor analyses were conducted on Gabcheon and Yugucheon to characterize the water qualtiy, based on the information obtained from the results of culster analysis. The results of cluster analysis show that the water quality charactersitic of main stream of the Geum-River is somewhat different from that of substream of the Geum-River. Furthermore, the water quality characteristic of Gabcheon which is expected to have the most serious water quality problems in the Geum-River watershed shows the most different water quality characteristic from Yugucheon. Based ont he factor loadings in each factor, Gabcheon and Yugucheon have their own water quality characteristics. This is mainly because of composite factors such as different population density, industrial activities, and land use conditions in Gabcheon and Yugucheon subwatersheds.
