There have been happening small and big fires due to the various causes in the thermal power plants which are the high risk buildings with the high possibility of big sizes of accidents, so the people in the power plants distribute the workers "the site action manuals in thermal power plants" and try to minimize the rate of disasters like fires through the regular education and training. However, in the Five Thermal Power Plants in Korea, there are no the standard of "the site action manuals" and Furthermore, the present educational manuals are mostly the hard copies with poor readability. So the standardization of the manuals are definitely needed. Therefore, in this research, we proceed the standardization of the manuals for the five areas of the site action manual s in the thermal power plants which are oil fires, electric fires, building fires, facility fires and gas leaking reaction SOP to improve the reaction power on the disasters in the power plants which are the national significant infrastructures, thus by using the manual, we propose the safety education contents for the thermal power plants based on the visualization technology using story-viewing method to complement the hard copy type disaster manuals.

How to compare the environmental damage caused by vehicles with different foe]s and drive trains\ulcorner This paper describes a methodology to assess the environmental impact of vehicles, using different approaches, and evaluating their benefits and limitations. Rating systems are analysed as tools to compare the environmental impact of vehicles, allowing decision makers to dedicate their financial and non-financial policies and support measures in function of the ecological damage. The paper is based on the "Clean Vehicles" research project, commissioned by the Brussels Capital Region via the BIM-IBGE (Brussels Institute for the Conservation of the Environment) (Van Mierlo et at., 2001). The VriJe Universiteit Brussel (ETEC) and the universite Libre do Bruxelles (CEESE) have jointly carried out the workprogramme. The most important results of this project are illustrated in this paper. First an overview of environmental, economical and technical characteristics of the different alternative fuels and drive trains is given. Afterward the basic principles to identify the environmental impact of cars are described. An outline of the considered emissions and their environmental impact leads to the definition of the calculation method, named Ecoscore. A rather simple and pragmatic approach would be stating that all alternative fuelled vehicles (LPG, CNG, EV, HEV, etc.) can be considered as ′clean′. Another basic approach is considering as ′clean′ all vehicles satisfying a stringent omission regulation like EURO IV or EEV. Such approaches however don′t tell anything about the real environmental damage of the vehicles. In the paper we describe "how should the environmental impact of vehicles be defined\ulcorner", including parameters affecting the emissions of vehicles and their influence on human beings and on the environment and "how could it be defined \ulcorner", taking into account the availability of accurate and reliable data. We take into account different damages (acid rain, photochemical air pollution, global warming. noise, etc.) and their impacts on several receptors like human beings (e.g., cancer, respiratory diseases, etc), ecosystems, or buildings. The presented methodology is based on a kind of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) in which the contribution of all emissions to a certain damage are considered (e.g. using Exposure-Response damage function). The emissions will include oil extraction, transportation refinery, electricity production, distribution, (Well-to-Wheel approach), as well as the emission due to the production, use and dismantling of the vehicle (Cradle-to-Grave approach). The different damages will be normalized to be able to make a comparison. Hence a reference value (determined by the reference vehicle chosen) will be defined as a target value (the normalized value will thus measure a kind of Distance to Target). The contribution of the different normalized damages to a single value "Ecoscore" will be based on a panel weighting method. Some examples of the calculation of the Ecoscore for different alternative fuels and drive trains will be calculated as an illustration of the methodology.

Inclusion complexes of ketoconazole(KT) with ${\alpha}^_$, ${\beta}^_$cyclodextrin(CD) and $dimethy1-{\beta}-cyclodextrin$ (CD) and $dimethy1-{\beta}-cyclodextrin(DM{\beta}CD)$ as nasal absorption enhancer were prepared in 1: 2 molar ratios by freeze-drying and solvent evaporation methods. In order to compare with the intrinsic absorptivity of KT in the jejunum(J) and the nasal cavity(N), the in situ simultaneous perfusion method was employed. The in situ recirculation study revealed that KT-CD inclusion complexes with the greater stability constant and the faster dissolution rate proportionally increased the absorption of KT in the J and N of rats. The rank order of apparent KT permeability$(P_{app}\;:\;cm/sec\;{\time}\;1O^{-5}{\pm}S.E.)$, corrected by surface area of absorption, was $5.10{\pm}0.3(N,\; KT-DM{\beta}CD)$ )> $4.13{\pm}0.4(N,\;KT-{\beta}-CD)$ )> $3.52{\pm}0.2(N,\;KT-{\alpha}-CD)$ )> $2.76{\pm}0.3(J,\; KT-DM{\beta}CD)$ )> $2.61{\pm}0.5(J,\;KT-{\beta}-CD)$ )> $2.42{\pm}0.4(J,\;KT-{\alpha}-CD)$ at pH 4.0. The in crease in permeability of $KT-DM{\beta}CD$ inclusion complex was 2.6 folds in the J and 4.5 folds in the N when the perfusing solution was changed from the buffer(pH 4.0) to saline. The absorption rate of $KT-DM{\beta}CD$ inclusion complex after nasal administration was more rapid than those of ketoconazole alone and $KT-DM{\beta}CD$ inclusion complex after oral administration to rats. In comparision with an oral administration of ketoconazole suspension in corn oil, the relative bioavailability was calculated 137.3% for the oral and 195.0% for nasal $KT-DM{\beta}CD$ inclusion complex in rats. The present results suggest that $KT-DM{\beta}CD$ inclusion complex may serve as a potential nasal absorption enhancer for the nasal delivery of ketoconazole.
Hydrogen energy is emphasized as a substitutable energy of carbon-based energy system in the future, since it is non-depletable and clean energy. Long term vision of Korean government on the national energy system is to promote hydrogen energy by 15% of final energy demand until 2040. This study analyzes economic impacts of hydrogen energy development employing a dynamic CGE model for Korea. Frontier technology such as hydrogen energy is featured as slow diffusion at the initial stage due to the learning effect and energy complementarity. Without government intervention, hydrogen energy would be produced upto 6.5% of final energy demand until 2040. However, if government subsidizes sales price of hydrogen energy by 10%, 20%, and 30%, share of hydrogen energy would increase 9.2%, 15.2%, and 37.7% of final energy demand. This result shows that the slow diffusion problem of hydrogen energy as frontier technology could be figured out by market incentive policy. On the other hand, production levels of transportation sector would increase while growth rate of oil and electricity sectors would decline. Household consumption would be affected negatively since increase of consumption due to the price decrease would be overwhelmed by income reduction owing to the increase of tax. Overall, GDP would not decrease or increase significantly since total production, investment, and export would increase even if household consumption declines.
China, the world's largest $CO_2$ producer, is likely to be obligated to reduce greenhouse gas emissions under the post-Kyoto protocol. This paper estimates a Shephard input distance function for the Chinese fossil-fueled power generation sector to measure the shadow price of $CO_2$ emissions, technical efficiency, and indirect Morishima elasticities of substitution between inputs. Empirical results show that, on average, it costs approximately 3.2 US dollars per year to reduce $CO_2$ emissions by one ton over the period 1981-2009. This finding indicates that Chinese power sector is expected to benefit from selling emission permits to other countries such as Korea and Japan, given that our estimate for China is lower than the ones previous literatures estimated for the power sector in these countries. The maximum attainable average $CO_2$ reduction potential amounts to approximately 25 million tons per year by improving technical efficiency. Capital is substitutable with both coal and oil and capital is relatively more readily substituted for these fuels.
This study focused on analyzing solid brown cosmetic residues that were excavated from the tomb of the Hwahyeop princess. The cosmetics had been buried in 1752 in Cheonghwa Baekja (small porcelain jars) within a Huigwakham (a stone box sealed with lime). A literature search and chemical analyses of the relics were conducted at the National Palace Museum of Korea. Based on the results of these analyses, raw materials and manufacturing methods for reproduction of the cosmetic were selected and then cream-form cosmetics were prepared. Aging tests using heat, ultraviolet (UV) radiation, and CO2 were carried out to emulate the deterioration of the excavated cosmetics. Further chemical analyses and functionality tests were performed to evaluate changes from the tests and the effect as a cosmetic. As heat aging progressed, among the reproduced cosmetics, the one which has a high proposition of oil showed a color difference value of 32; the oxidation of oils involved chemical changes in O-H and C=C groups. As the cosmetic cream deteriorated under UV aging, the pH value became acidic. The result of the functional coverage test of the reproduced cosmetic cream was lower than the standard coverage ratio of modern cosmetics.
To prepare edible skin gelatin of conger eel such as material fur quality improvement of surimi gel, the defatted skin was limed with 1% calcium hydroxide at $5^{\circ}C$ for 2 days, washed thoroughly with tap water, extracted with 8 volumes of distilled water to dehydrated skin for 2 hours at $50^{\circ}C$. The gelatin extract was centrifuged, filtered and then passed through anion(Amberlite 200C) and cation (Amberlite IR 900) resins. The purified gelatin solution was evaporated and dried by hot-air blast$(40^{\circ}C)$. The gelatin prepared by above condition had the highest quality as revealed by physical property values i.e. 240.5 g in gel strength, $28.0^{\circ}C$ in melting point and $28.0^{\circ}C$ in gelling point. Funtional property values were 56.8% in solubility, 1.8 ml/g in oil binding capacity, 55.0% in emulsifying capacity and 48.5% in emulsifying stability. jelly strength and senso교 evaluation of surimi gel from fish with red muscle were not improved by addition of emulsifying curd from conger eel skin gelatin as emulsifier. Therefore, the conger eel skin gelatin requires a suitable modification of functional group and improvement of processing operation to utilize as a material for quality Improvement of surimi gel.
This experiment was conducted to investigate the influence of different amount of nitrogen and deficiency of soil moisture on yield components of soybean. Soybean were seeded on 1/2000a wagner pot. Deficiency of soil moisture was treated at each growth atage of soybean. 1.In case of deficiencyt of soil moisture at the flowering time in the plot of non-nitrogen(NO D3), the growth duration of soybean was shortened about three to four days. 2. The leaf area was greatly affected by the influence of both treatments till 49days after germinating. 3.The increase of stem height, stem doameter, number of branches and lengeh of the branches came to an end about 70 days after seeding. These growing condition of tje soybean were lowest the plot of No D$_1$,in which the frowth of the soybeans were poor at the early stage. 4.The number of pods was not increased by the increase of fertilizing nitrogenous fertilizer. The number of pods was much decreased by the influence of soil mousture deiciency, and under this condition, the proportion of main stem pods and two or three grain pods was high. 5.The 3rd and 4h nodes and the 10th to 12th nodes from bottom had more pods than the other nodes had, but of the plants had grown well, they had more pods on the 3rd and 4th nodes, but if the plants had grown poorly, they had more pods on the 10th to 12th nodes. 6.The content of protein in the soybean was low at the plit of N。D$_4$which had not heavy weight of 100 grains, and the content of oil in the soybean was low in the plot in which each plant had a small number of grains.
The protein content of seed meal were examined to evaluate genotypes of higher protein content from 164 peanut germplasms. The variations in amino acids content were investigated from nine Korean leading varieties grown at five locations. Amino acids contents of protein fractions were also ana lysed in the present study, too. The results of the study were summarized as fallows. The seed protein of 164 peanut varieties averaged 24.5% ranging from 19.5% to 28.7%, showed 9.2% varietal variation in proteins. Differences were not observed in protein content between plant types, however, protein contents were higher in small-seeded than large seeded varieties. The differences were more greater particulaly in Spanish type varieties. The varieties introduced from Taiwan and Philippine showed higher protein contents, and the cultivars or lines bred in Korea and introduced from Japan were lower in protein contents. protein contents showed non-significantly negative correlations with 100-kernel weight and pod weight per plant, but positive correlations were observed between oil and protein content in all types of peanuts. Significant differences among the varieties and locations were observed for total, essential and non-essential amino acids contents, and aspartic acid. Locational differences for arginine, lysine, methionine, threonine, glutamic acid, glycine and tyrosine, and varietal difference for phenylalanene were revealed as significant. The limiting amino acids from the leading varieties were isoleucine, methionine, threonine, alanine and tyrosine, comparing with FAO recommanding levels of amino acids. Among the protein fractions prolamins was the highest in total amino acids, but essential amino acids was the highest in globulins
In order to find out the optimum seeding date of flax. this study was investigated ecological characters, yield components and yield of five varieties(Wiera, Taijungsun #$^1$, Storment Goss, CI 1763, 99403-Fiber). As seeding date was delayed, the maturing date was delayed also and stem length was longest in March 10 seeding but it grew short in the late seeding. Oil content was increased most in March 10 seeding, that is, increased to 34% in Taijungsun #$^1$, 32% in storment Goss, 30% in Wiera and 26% in 99403-Fiber, and it was decreased in the late seeding. Stem yield and seed yield were heaviest in March 10 seeding, and it was light in the late seeding, Judging from the results reported above. in optimum seeding date of flax seemed to be before the March 10.
