적정공사비 산정을 위한 공사비할증기준 분석 (Analysis of Construction Cost Weight Standards to Calculate Appropriate Construction Costs)

  • In order to calculate construction costs properly, it is necessary to add the weight that reflects different worksite conditions. The implementation of the weight, however, is difficult because it is impossible to determine whether wight should be added in basic work or whether weight values are overlapped. Special worksite conditions further complicate the matter. Furthermore, overlapping implementation of weight values result in overestimation of construction costs. The current study clearly analyzed the weight value items in the current construction cost calculation standards, and analyzed the weight value items included under the basic productivity category to propose an improvement of weight standards. Basically, the estimating standards provide 140 weight value items, with different levels of weight given to each item. Among 1,333 items in the estimating standards, 140 include weight values. Some items have two types of weight values.

  • We study clustering algorithm for sequences of categorical values. Clustering is a data mining problem that has received significant attention by the database community. Traditional clustering algorlthms deal with numerical or categorical data points. However, there exist many important databases that store categorical data sequences. In this paper we introduce new similarity measure and develope a hierarchical clustering algorithm. An experimental section shows performance of the proposed approach.

  • The liquid level in a spherical tank was controlled with a micro-computer and the dynamic behavior of this non-linear system due to the variation of set point was studied. The adaptive control theory was used and the real values of controlled variables were compared with the theoretical values from a mathematical model.

Bayesian reliability estimation in a stress-strength system

  • We consider the problem of estimating the system reliability using noninformative priors when both stress and strength follow generalized gamma distributions with index, scale, and shape parameters. We first derive group-ordering reference priors using the reparametrization. We next provide the sufficient condition for propriety of posterior distributions and provide marginal posterior distributions under those noninformative priors. Finally, we provide and compare estimated values of the system reliability based on the simulated values of parameter of interest in some special cases.

  • Suggested is an EM algorithm for estimation in mixture of shifted Poisson distributions with known shift parameters. For this type of mixture distribution, we have to utilize values of shift parameters to determine whether each of data belongs to some component distribution. We propose a method of estimating values of component information and then follow typical EM methodology. Simulation results show that the algorithm provides reasonable performance for the distribution.

흑미 및 곡류 추출물의 항산화 효과 (Antioxidant activity of black rice and grains)

  • In this study, the comparison of antioxidative effect of the methanol (MeOH) extracts from grains were investigated in vitro radical scavenging system. Ten grains (black rice, rice, barley, wheat, millet, sorghum, glutinous millet, buckwheat, phellines linteus rice and brown rice) were extracted with MeOH. Among the MeOH extracts of grains, sorghum and black rice showed effective scavenging activities of 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical. The $IC_{50}$ values of sorghum and black rice were $47.4{\mu}g/mL$ and $50.6{\mu}g/mL$, respectively. In addition, black rice also exerted the strongest activities on hydroxyl radical (${\cdot}OH$) scavenging activity. Furthermore, the MeOH extracts of black rice showed effective and dose dependant scavenging activities of DPPH radical and ${\cdot}OH$. These results indicated that black rice showed strong free radical scavenging activity. It suggested that black rice could be a promising natural antioxidant against free radical-induced oxidative damage.

Density Functional Theory for Calculating the OH Stretching Frequency of Water Molecules

  • The anharmonic frequency of a local OH stretching mode of a water monomer and dimer was calculated using various levels of density functional theory. The quantum chemical potential energy curves as a function of the OH bond distance were calculated, and they were fitted with the Morse potential function to analytically obtain the fundamental transition frequency. By comparing those values with the frequencies similarly calculated using an ab initio quantum chemical method, the coupled cluster theory including both single and double excitations with the perturbative inclusion of triple excitation in the complete basis limit, the accuracy of various density functional methods in the calculation of anharmonic vibration frequency of water molecules was assessed. For a water monomer, X3LYP and B3LYP methods give the best accuracy, whereas for a water dimer, B972, LCBLYP, ${\omega}B97X$, ${\omega}B97$ methods show the best performance.

  • Daily oral administration to Sprague Dawly rats for 4 weeks of DWP-301, at doses of 0, 500, 1000, 2000 mg/kg presented following results; 1) No animals died and there were no significant differences in general signs, body weight, food consumption, urinalysis haematological, biochemical, gross pathological and histopathological examination between control and treated rats. 2) Water consumption, pH-, protein- urobilinogen-, ketone-values in urine were significantly increased in the treated male and female rats. It is supposed that these differences in animals are a consistent feature of repeated overdosage with test suspensions. The results indicate that the non toxic dose of test compounds in rats is over 2000 mg/kg in this test system.

식품 성분과 식품 포장용 인쇄 잉크 용매의 화학적 구조가 분배작용에 미치는 영향 (Effect of chemical and physical structure on partitioning behavior of representative printing ink solvents and various food ingredients)

  • Migration behavior of selected solvents and food samples showed differences of the chemical structures and polarities, the food samples which have similar polar expresses more higher affinity than different polar degrees. Water which is polar has a highest partitioning coefficient values on polar isopropanol, and oil which is nonpolar has highest partitioning value on non-polar toluene. The increasing order of partitioning values was accord with increasing water contents in food samples. It is showed that the wheat flour with 13.2% moisture content has the highest partitioning coefficient values on the isopropanol with -OH. Kp value of sugar showed remarkable lower partitioning coefficient values than other food samples due to high degree crystallinity. This phenomenon can be predictable with ${\delta}$ values, because order of partitioning coefficient values which comes out through the experiment and the sequence of Hildebrand solubility parameter value difference between food sample and printing ink solvent correspond almost. This Hildebrand solubility parameter value can be easily applied to the food package industry because the effect of food-safety can be considered without passing through complicated steps by using this method.
