  • This Research is about the classification of 'Sijochang', or the Korean ode narrative song, in terms of music. Contrary to the literature classification by the number of letters, sijochang varies with the melody. Literally, the classification is generally made as Dansijo(or short ode) Jungsijo(or medium ode) and Jangsijo(or lengthy ode) but the sijochang is normally divided into 'Pyongsijo' (or plain ode), 'Jirumsijo and Saseolsijo'. As while the same Sijochang is called under the different names, the different type of sijochang is also called as the same name, it needs the discussion about its name. Some Korean classical musicians have attempted to define it but they are trying to do it without the specific reasoning about its concept. As a result, the systematic research is required. This study designs to streamline the currently confusing and complex names and set up the sijo's classification system. After reviewing the ancient music note, current sijo score and the traditional theory, I largely classified it into 3 types: Pyongsijo, Jirumsijo and Saseolsijo. And then, 1 analyzed on to which type the sijochang which is presently called belongs, based on several principles. The 67 names of the sijo which I have investigated about are classified with them sharpy reduced into 16. Among the current sijo names. there are some which are of same type yet of different phonetics and there are others which are of different phonetics yet of same type. To avoid such complex and troublesome names, I have orchestrated them as follows, taking the literary and music concept into account. 1) Pyongsijo type : Pyongsijo, Joongherisijo, Wujosijo and Payeonkok 2) Jirumsijo type: Jirumsiro, Namchangjirumsijo(it refers to Jirumsijo sung by male ), Yeochangjirumsijo (it refers to Jirumsijo sung by female), Banjirumsijo(it refers to half the Jiumsiro), Onjirumsijo (it refers to the whole Jirumsijo), Wujojr\irumsijo, Saseoljirumsijo and Whimorisijo) 3) Saseolsijo type : Saseolsijo, Bansaseolsijo(it refers to half the Saseolsijo, Gaksijo or Pyongsiro There are still lots of things to musically streamline, in the fields of disposition of Sijo letters, its form, musical scale and influences on other genre. etc. and as such. the accumulation of theory on them is urgently required. Those musical elements need an in-depth review and study by the experts and the Korean traditional musicians. Later research is expected to play a role of exploring it.

  • In this paper we consider the Cauchy problem $$dx(t)/dt=x(t)^n,\;x(0)=x_0$$. The domain of existence is lower semicontinuous for perturbations of the data. We present a simple formula for the time of existence which is exact when there exists no perturbations.

  • We have derived a simple ODE system for the mush by assuming that the temperature T, the solid fraction $\phi$ and the vertical component $\omega$ of the velocity, depend on z only. Analytical solutions of the system have presentd in case of $\omega << 1 and \phi << 1$.

  • Dynamic response of axisymmetric arbitrary laminated composite cylindrical shell of finite length, using three-dimensional elasticity equations are studied. The shell is simply supported at both ends. The highly coupled partial differential equations are reduced to ordinary differential equations (ODE) with variable coefficients by means of trigonometric function expansion in axial direction. For cylindrical shell under dynamic load, the resulting differential equations are solved by Galerkin finite element method, In this solution, the continuity conditions between any two layer is satisfied. It is found that the difference between elasticity solution (ES) and higher order shear deformation theory (HSD) become higher for a symmetric laminations than their unsymmetric counterpart. That is due to the effect of bending-streching coupling. It is also found that due to the discontinuity of inplane stresses at the interface of the laminate, the slope of transverse normal and shear stresses aren't continuous across the interface. For free vibration analysis, through dividing each layer into thin laminas, the variable coefficients in ODE become constants and the resulting equations can be solved exactly. It is shown that the natural frequency of symmetric angle-ply are generally higher than their antisymmetric counterpart. Also the results are in good agreement with similar results found in literatures.

  • A nonlinear analysis of torsional self-excited vibration in the driveline system for wheeled towing tractors was presented, with a 2-DOF mathematical model. The vibration system was described as a second-order ordinary differential equation. An analytical approach was proposed to the solution of the second-order ODE. The mathematical neighborhood concept was used to construct the interior boundary and the exterior boundary. The ODE was proved to have a limit cycle by using $Poincar\'{e}-Bendixson$ Annulus Theorem when two inequalities were satisfied. Because the two inequalities are easily satisfied, the self-excited vibration is inevitable and even the initial slip rate is little. However, the amplitude will be almost zero when the third inequality is satisfied. Only in a few working modes of the towing tractor the third inequality is not satisfied. It is shown by experiments that the torsional self-excited vibration in the driveline of the vehicle is obvious.

  • The walking mobility with stability of 4 legged robots is the distinguished skills for many application areas. Planning gaits of efficient walking for quadruped robots is an important and challenging task. Especially, autonomous generation of locomotion is required to manage various robot models and environments. In this paper, we propose an adaptive locomotion control of 4 legged robot for irregular terrain using HyperNEAT. Generated locomotion is executed and analysed using ODE based Webots simulation for the 4 legged robot which is built by Bioloid.

  • This paper introduces an objects recognition algorithm based on SURF(Speeded Up Robust Features) and GP(Genetic Programming) based gaits generation. Combining both methods, a recognition based intelligent walking for quadruped robots is proposed. The gait of quadruped robots is generated by means of symbolic regression for each joint trajectories using GP. A position and size of target object are recognized by SURF which enables high speed feature extraction, and then the distance to the object is calculated. Experiments for objects recognition and autonomous walking for quadruped robots are executed for ODE based Webots simulation and real robot.
