In this study, we investigate the effect of the duration of mechanical alloying on the microstructures and mechanical properties of ODS ferritic/martensitic steel. The Fe(bal.)-10Cr-1Mo pre-alloyed powder and Y2O3 powder are mechanically alloyed for the different mechanical alloying duration (0 to 40 h) and then constantly fabricated using a uniaxial hot pressing process. Upon increasing the mechanical alloying time, the average powder diameter and crystallite size increased dramatically. In the initial stages within 5 h of mechanical alloying, inhomogeneous grain morphology is observed along with coarsened carbide and oxide distributions; thus, precipitate phases are temporarily observed between the two powders because of insufficient collision energy to get fragmented. After 40 h of the MA process, however, fine martensitic grains and uniformly distributed oxide particles are observed. This led to a favorable tensile strength and elongation at room temperature and 650℃.
1-Nitropyrene (1-NP), 2-NP and 2-nitrofluoranthene (2-NFR) are useful markers for studying the atmospheric behaviors of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and nitropolycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (NPAHs). However, present methods for measuring trace levels of these compounds are lesssensitive and laborious. Here we describe several improvements to a previously reported high-performance liquid chromatography-chemiluminescence detection system that allows it to determine trace levels of 1-, 2-NPs and 2-NFR. The proposed system was equipped with a reducer column packed with Pt/Rh instead of zinc whose life-time was limited. The combination of Cosmosil MS-II (monomeric ODS) and AR-II (polymeric ODS) columns was used instead of polymeric ODS columns as the separator column to improve the separation. An ethanol mixture with acetate buffer (pH 5.5) was used in place of an acetonitrile mixture with the same buffer to activate the reducer column. The same ethanol mixture was used as the mobile phase for the clean-up column. The switching time of the column switching valve was optimized to concentrate the amino-derivatives of above NPAHs quantitatively on the concentrator column. The concentrations of bis(2,4,6-trichlorophenly) oxalate and hydrogen peroxide in the chemiluminescence reagent solution were optimized to 0.4 mM and 30 mM, respectively, to increase the sensitivity. Under the above conditions, the detection limits (S/N=3) of 1-, 2-NPs and 2-NFR were 1 fmol (0.25 pg), 10 fmol (2.5 pg) and 4 fmol (1 pg), respectively. The proposed system was effectively used to determine trace levels of 1-, 2-NPs and 2-NFR in airborne particulates collected at Noto Peninsula. The atmospheric concentrations of 1-, 2-NPs and 2-NFR were not more than sub pg $m^{-3}$ levels. They were higher in winter (January) than in summer (July). In both seasons, the concentrations were in decreasing order, [2-NFR]>[1-NP]>[2-NP].
This study investigates the oxidation properties of Fe-14Cr ferritic oxide-dispersion-strengthened (ODS) steel at various high temperatures (900, 1000, and $1100^{\circ}C$ for 24 h). The initial microstructure shows that no clear structural change occurs even under high-temperature heat treatment, and the average measured grain size is 0.4 and $1.1{\mu}m$ for the as-fabricated and heat-treated specimens, respectively. Y-Ti-O nanoclusters 10-50 nm in size are observed. High-temperature oxidation results show that the weight increases by 0.27 and $0.29mg/cm^2$ for the as-fabricated and heat-treated ($900^{\circ}C$) specimens, and by 0.47 and $0.50mg/cm^2$ for the as-fabricated and heat-treated ($1000^{\circ}C$) specimens, respectively. Further, after 24 h oxidation tests, the weight increases by 56.50 and $100.60mg/cm^2$ for the as-fabricated and heat-treated ($1100^{\circ}C$) specimens, respectively; the latter increase is approximately 100 times higher than that at $1000^{\circ}C$. Observation of the surface after the oxidation test shows that $Cr_2O_3$ is the main oxide on a specimen tested at $1000^{\circ}C$, whereas $Fe_2O_3$ and $Fe_3O_4$ phases also form on a specimen tested at $1100^{\circ}C$, where the weight increases rapidly. The high-temperature oxidation behavior of Fe-14Cr ODS steel is confirmed to be dominated by changes in the $Cr_2O_3$ layer and generation of Fe-based oxides through evaporation.
Gypsogenin was derivatized with 2, 4-dinitrophenylhyclrazine prior to analysis with HPLC. Reversed-phase column (Du pont ODS) was used and the mobile phase was acetonitrile and water (60:40). The effluent was detected at 550nm using an U.V. detector and the retention time was approximately 9.2min. The concentration was quantitated by measuring the area and the detection limit was 0.2$\mu\textrm{g}$.

Rhus verniciflua Stokes (RVS) is a widely used herbal plant with various biological properties. Our previous study using in vitro platelet aggregation in whole blood showed that the fractions of RVS had strong anti-aggregatory activity. In this study, using in vitro platelet aggregation in PRP and coagulation parameters, to investigate the anti-platelet activity and anticagulant effects of RVS ethyl acetate layer, the layer was subsequently fractionated by ODS columm chromatograph (50% MeOH). In this paper we develop a new theory of adjoint and symmetric method in the class of general implicit one-step fixed-stepsize methods. These methods arise from simple and natral def-initions of the concepts of symmetry and adjointness that provide a fruitful basis for analysis. We prove a number of theorems for meth-ods having these properties and show in particular that only the symmetric methods possess a quadratic asymptotic expansion of the global error. In addition we give a very simple test to identify the symmetric methods in practice.
For the evaluation of the plasma display panel (PDP)'s noise, vibration and sound characteristics of fanless PDP are measured and investigated. PDP is a type of two-electrode vacuum tube which operatres on the same principle as a household fluorescent light. An inert gas such as argon or neon is injected between two glass plates on which transparent electrodes have been formed, and the glass is illuminated by generating discharge. (omitted)
We propose some new iterative methods for solving the generalized variational inequalities where the underlying operator T is monotone. These methods may be viewed as projection-type meth-ods. Convergence of these methods requires that the operator T is only monotone. The methods and the proof of the convergence are very simple. The results proved in this paper also represent a signif-icant improvement and refinement of the known results.
