The Ocean Drilling Program (ODP) is the world's largest and most successful multinational earth science research program. It is an international partnership of scientists and research institutions from 20 countries around the world organized to explore the evolution and structure of Earth as recorded in the ocean basin. ODP provides scientists access to a vast repository of geological and environmental information, and samples for studying oceanic basins and their evolutions. ODP began in 1983 and is the successor to the DSDP (Deep Sea Drilling Project) which began to explore ocean in 1968. In 1996, Korea became a member of the ODP as Pacific Rim (PacRim) Consortium with Canada, Australia, and Chinese Tapei. The Korean Committee for Ocean Drilling Program (KODP) has organized Korean ODP Council (KOC), and Korean ODP Scientific Committee (KOSC), and Korean ODP Secretariat (KOS). This paper is a synopsis of the KODP's activities and guidelines for future researches using samples and data from ODP.

해저지각 시추 프로그램 (Ocean Drilling Program: 이하 ODP 라함)은 해저 분지 연구를 통해서 지구의 진화와 구조를 밝히기 위해서 조직된 기구로 지구과학 분야에서는 세계에서 가장 규모가 크고 성공적인 연구사업을 추진하고 있다. 이 프로그램은 심해저시추 프로그램 (DSDP: Deep Sea Drilling Project)의 뒤를 이은 연구 사업으로 1983년부터 시작되었으며 지구 과학자들은 다양한 해저지질 및 지구물리 자료를 제공받고 있어 지구 지각과 해저 분지의 기원과 진화 및 구조에 대한 연구에 매우 커다란 도움을 받고있다. 한국은 2년 간의 가입 타당성 조사 끝에 1996년에 호주, 카나다와 콘소시움을 형성하여 ODP에 가입했고 그 후 대만이 합류하여 환태평양 콘소시움 (PacRim)을 이루었다. 한국이 ODP에 가입한 뒤 한국 사업단이 조직되고 정관이 제정되었으며 상임위원회, 과학위원회 및 사무국이 결성되었다. 아울러 한국이 ODP에 본격적으로 참여한 1998년이래 현재까지 두 명의 한국 과학자가 시추선에 승선하였고 승선 후 세계적으로 유명한 과학자들과 함께 공동 연구를 수행하고 있다. 한국이 ODP에 가입하게 됨에 따라 세계적으로 4곳의 시료저장소에 보관되어 있는 기존의 시추 시료 및 자료를 이용할 수 있으므로 국내 지구 과학자들은 시추선 승선 뿐 만이 아니라 ODP 시료와 자료를 적극 이용하여 국내 지구과학이 진일보하는 계기를 마련하게 되었다. 따라서, 한국 ODP 사업단의 개요와 활동, 그리고 향후 연구 사업의 방향을 소개하여 지구 과학을 연구하는 학계, 연구계 및 산업계에 종사하는 지구과학 전문가들에게 ODP 사업에 대한 이해를 증진시키고 시추선 승선과 시료 및 자료 이용에 대해 적극적으로 참여할 수 있는 정보를 제공코자 한다.정이 이뤄져야 할 것으로 보인다. 또한 내부파와 음파의 상대적인 진행 방향에 따라 음장변화가 크게 다를 것이 예상되므로 이를 규명하기 위해서는 궁극적으로 3차원적인 음장분포 연구가 필요하다. 음향센서를 해저면에 매설할 경우 수충의 수온변화와 센서 주변의 수온변화 사이에는 어느 정도의 시간지연이 존재하게 되므로 이에 대한 영향을 규명하는 것도 센서의 성능예측을 위해서 필요하리라 사료된다.가지는 심부 가스의 개발 성공률을 증가시키기 위하여 심부 가스가 존재하는 지역의 지질학적 부존 환경 및 조성상의 특성과 생산시 소요되는 생산비용을 심도에 따라 분석하고 생산에 수반되는 기술적 문제점들을 정리하였으며 마지막으로 향후 요구되는 연구 분야들을 제시하였다. 또한 참고로 현재 심부 가스의 경우 미국이 연구 개발 측면에서 가장 활발한 활동을 전개하고 있으며 그 결과 다수의 신뢰성 있는 자료들을 확보하고 있으므로 본 논문은 USGS와 Gas Research Institute(GRI)에서 제시한 자료에 근거하였다.ऀĀ耀Ā삱?⨀؀Ā Ā?⨀ጀĀ耀Ā?돀ꢘ?⨀硩?⨀ႎ?⨀?⨀넆돐쁖잖⨀쁖잖⨀／ࠐ?⨀焆덐瀆倆Āⶇ퍟ⶇ퍟ĀĀĀĀ磀鲕좗?⨀肤?⨀⁅Ⴅ?⨀쀃잖⨀䣙熸ጁ↏?⨀

This paper aims to analyze the causal relationship between exports and regional economic growth based on the provincial data over the period from 1952 to 2004. To reflect the regional and chronical characteristics, this paper divides China into three regions; Eastern, Central and Western regions, and also the whole period into two sub-periods; before and after 1979 when the Open-door policy(ODP) was initiated and applies Granger causality analysis. The Granger causality tests showed that exports Granger cause economic growth in the Eastern region, but not in the Central and Western regions, as a whole. When the period is divided, in the Eastern region, causal relation between the two variables was not found before the Open-door policy. For the second period, however it turns out that exports cause the region's economic growth. This result is consent with the fact that the region has been a main beneficiary of the policy. For the Central region, the tests showed no causality in the pre-ODP period, but significant bidirectional causality in the post-ODP period. Meanwhile, in the Western region, exports turned out causing economic growth significantly before the ODP, while economic growth appeared to causing trade after the ODP.

We report and discuss molecular and isotopic properties of hydrate-bound gases from 55 samples and void gases from 494 samples collected during Ocean Drilling Program (ODP) Leg 204 at Hydrate Ridge offshore Oregon. Gas hydrates appear to crystallize in sediments from two end-member gas sources (deep allochthonous and in situ) as mixtures of different proportions. In an area of high gas flux at the Southern Summit of the ridge (Sites 1248-1250), shallow (0-40 meters below the seafloor (mbsf)) gas hydrates are composed of mainly allochthonous mixed microbial and thermogenic methane and a small portion of thermogenic C2+ gases, which migrated vertically and laterally from as deep as 2-2.5 km depths. In contrast, deep (50-105 mbsf) gas hydrates at the Southern Summit (Sites 1248 and 1250) and on the flanks of the ridge (Sites 1244-1247) crystallize mainly from microbial methane and ethane generated dominantly in situ. A small contribution of allochthonous gas may also be present at sites where geologic and tectonic settings favor vertical gas migration from greater depth (e.g., Site 1244).

In this note we consider the monoid $\mathcal{PODI}_n$ of all monotone partial permutations on $\{1,{\ldots},n\}$ and its submonoids $\mathcal{DP}_n$, $\mathcal{POI}_n$ and $\mathcal{ODP}_n$ of all partial isometries, of all order-preserving partial permutations and of all order-preserving partial isometries, respectively. We prove that both the monoids $\mathcal{POI}_n$ and $\mathcal{ODP}_n$ are quotients of bilateral semidirect products of two of their remarkable submonoids, namely of extensive and of co-extensive transformations. Moreover, we show that $\mathcal{PODI}_n$ is a quotient of a semidirect product of $\mathcal{POI}_n$ and the group $\mathcal{C}_2$ of order two and, analogously, $\mathcal{DP}_n$ is a quotient of a semidirect product of $\mathcal{ODP}_n$ and $\mathcal{C}_2$.

This study intended to show the way of evolving 'National Geographic Information Clearinghouse' to 'National Integrated Geospatial Portal'. For this purpose we have analyzed Geospatial One-Stop Portal in the US and then suggested future model of National Geographic Information Clearinghouse. The Integrated Geospatial Portal model is based on the Reference Model for Open Distributed Processing(RM-ODP) which is an international model for information distribution and sharing. The Integrated Geospatial Portal architecture consists of the data layer, middle-ware, presentation layer. It will help users to determine their fitness for nation wide GIS application and provide tools for accessing, visualizing, or ordering various geospatial data.

The ODP (Ocean Drilling Program) has been greatly contributed to the progress of Earth Science through the strong international cooperation with its name changed from DSDP DSDP(Deep Sea Drilling Program), IPOD (International Phase of Ocean Drilling) to IODP (Integrated Ocean Drilling Program). The IODP program which was launched about ten years ago will continue to develop toward the 2nd phase of scientific targets through the tight international cooperation. Distinguished scientific results from the various expedition as well as new phase of IODP structure and its important role that enhance the new scientific fields are summarized in this study. In particular, Arctic Expedition and deep-biosphere and high resolution climatic study that was not performed in previous ODP stages, will be extensively conducted in coming new 2nd IODP stages. Likewise, through strong international cooperation, it is expected that IODP would play an important role in Earth Science developments.

Recently, as the climate of temperature change has happened worldwide, To solve this problem, Kyoto protocol was taken to regulate global warming on Feb. 2005 and each country is making efforts to prevent global warming. In the automotive industry, R-134a refrigerant is widely used most these days because it has zero ODP(Ozone Depletion Potential). But R-134a GWP(Global Warming Potential) is so high. Therefore, replacement refrigerant desperately is needed as a alternative refrigerant. So, R-l52a is considered as one of the alternative refrigerants due to zero ODP and lower GWP against as required on Europe Committee. In this paper, performance of the air conditioning system between R-134a and R-152a is investigated experimentally. In the bench level, cooling capacity, condensing capacity, COP of automotive air conditioning system are ovaluated by means of air velocity entering the condenser and compressor revolution speed with optimized charge refrigerant quantity. Result of this study, R-152a refrigerant shows the possibility as alternative refrigerant of current R-134a in automotive air conditioning system.

The development of IT expanded the scale of e-commerce, and grew large Internet shopping malls. As having raised the consumers' interest in overseas direct purchase(ODP) recently, the number and purchasing amount of ODP are constantly increasing. However, consumers need to pay attention to the potential problems which might happen by consumer's damage and conflict, as increasing the consumption through ODP. Because consumer's damages on utilizing ODP happen to the reason such as the trust problem between business and consumer due to the way which traded non face to face, non-compliance of goods delivery, returns, and refunds, and information asymmetry of items, a large number of consumer's damages in a wide range are much more likely to occur nowadays. The purpose of this study is to analyze the current state of ODP, and propose consumer damage's reduction and policy of the government through pre or post scheme for consumer damage's relief and consumer protection. As the compensation for consumer damages is actually inadequate, this study proposed a feasible alternative to the adoption of e-commerce insurance for both aggressive compensation and protection for consumer's damages and risk transfer and sustainable development of e-commerce.
