  • The college age is an important developmental stage for achieving personal growth through interaction with people. In this study, we analyze the impact of the level of nunchi awareness on the interpersonal skills and learning outcomes of college students majoring in aviation services. For analysis, a survey is conducted targeting college students majoring in aviation services attending universities in the metropolitan and Chungcheong areas. To test the research hypothesis, demographic characteristics are identified based on the questionnaire, the reliability and validity of the measurement items were verified, and structural equation model analysis was performed to verify the hypothesis. The analysis results are as follows. First, nunchi behavior, which is a sub-factor of nunchi recognition among college students in the Department of Aviation Service, is found to have a positive (+) effect on temperament of others, communication, and relationship promotion of interpersonal skills. However, the significance of the influence relationship between nunchi perception factors and interpersonal skills is not confirmed. Second, among the sub-factors of interpersonal skills, only temperament with others and communication are found to have a positive effect on major commitment. Based on the research results, we aim to present practical strategies for designing effective major learning and developing competencies related to the work environment.

  • Purpose: This study aimed to explore and understand nursing students' nunchi experiences in clinical practice. Methods: Participants were nursing students in the third and fourth years who had clinical experience. A total of 20 nursing students were divided into three focus groups based on their grade levels and gender. Data were collected from December 2017 to March 2018 through focus group interviews and were analyzed via Colaizzi's phenomenological methodology. Results: The study results consisted of 5 theme clusters, 11 themes, and 24 subthemes. These clusters were: confusion about ambiguous behavioral standards, effort in following social norms, concern about getting hurt, physical and psychological exhaustion, and forming social attitudes. Conclusion: These results show that nunchi has positive and negative effects on the clinical practice of nursing students. We need to improve the causes of nunchi, which can have a negative impact on clinical practice.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between Nunchi and learning flow among nursing students and to investigate the factors influencing communication skills. Method: The participants were 260 nursing students in K city, who were surveyed between March 5 and April 17, 2019, using self-report questionnaire. Data were analyzed by frequencies, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, multiple regression using SPSS Win 21.0. Result: There were positive correlation between Nunchi of participants and learning flow(r=.502, p<.001). There were positive correlation between Nunchi and communication skills(r=.619, p<.001) and between learning flow and communication skills(r=-.567, p<.001). In the multiple regression, Nunchi(β=.381, p<.001), learning flow(β=.243, p<.001) and satisfaction of clinical practice(β=.107, p=.028) were associated with communication skills. These factors accounted for 47.4% of the total variance in communication skills. Based on these results, it will be necessary to develop educational programs and strategies related with the Nunchi and learning flow disposition to improve communication skills of nursing students.

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the effects of nurses' turnover intention, Nunchi, and job stress on organizational socialization. Data were collected from 180 nurses working in hospitals in G-do. Analysis was done using t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and Multiple regression with IBM SPSS WIN/21.0. Organizational socialization was inversely correlated to turnover intention (r=-.52, p<.001), job stress (r=-.31, p<.001), and was positively correlated to Nunchi (r=.33, p<.001). The most influential factor on the subjects' organizational socialization was turnover intention (β=-.37, p<.001), Nunchi (β=.26, p<.001), job stress (β=-.24, p<.001), deployment to the desired department (β =.19, p=.001), Age 30 years or younger (β=-.14, p=.012), and Working department-OR (β=.11, p=.050). The explanatory power was 47.0% (F=25.59, p<.001). Therefore, a organizational socialization enhancement program is needed to reduce turnover intention and job stress. Also, age and desired depertment need to be taken into account when assigning departments.

The results showed that taking notice, a subordinate variable of nunchi significantly increased and problem-solving ability and its subordinate variables, problem recognition, information gathering, analytical skill, diffuse thinking, decision making, planning, execution and risk taking, evaluation, and feedback significantly increased. Also, resilience and its subordinate variables, control, positivity, and social skills significantly increased. Since these results imply that simulation-based hands-on training can strengthen the core competencies of nursing students, a foundation should be provided for the development of on-site hands-on training modules.
