東支那海의 觀測潮流 및 計算潮流 (Observed and Computed Tidal Currents in the East China Sea)

  • 黃海 및 東支那海의 三次元 水動力學的 數値모델이 기보고된 主太陰半日週潮 (M2)의 潮流分布(崔, 1984)에 附加하여 S$_{2}$, $K_{1}$, 및 $O_{1}$ 分潮의 水深에 따른 潮流分布를 算定하는데 利用되었다. 모델 結果는 近年의 美.中共 共同 海洋觀測 프로그램의 潮流觀測値( Larsem과 Cannon, 1983)와 比較檢討되었으며 또 한 S$_{2}$, $K_{1}$$O_{1}$ 分潮의 表層, 中間水深, 海底에서의 潮流 調和 常數 分布圖 및 潮流 圓圖로서 提示되었다.

만내의 조류수치해석 - 가막만을 중심으로 - (Numerical Simulation on Tidal Currents in a Bay - Application to Gamag Bay -)

  • 본 연구는 2차원비선형 동수역학방정식을 이용하여 가막만의 조류의 특성을 해석하였다. 사용된 기초방정식은 Navier-Stokes의 운동 및 연속방정식이 이용되었고, 방정식을 구성하는 각항의 특성에 관해 상세하게 살펴본 후, 그것을 음적차분법을 사용하여 수치해석하였다. 수치모델은 2차원 단층모델로 구성하였으며, 수립된 수치모델을 가막만에 적용하여, 해의 안정성과 수렴성을 검토하였으며, 모델의 결과와 현지의 관측치를 비교하여 수치모델의 재현성을 검토하였다. 본 수치실험결과 다음의 것들이 증명되었다. I) 실측치와 비교해서 조류의 유향, 유속에 대해서 재현성은 양호하게 나타났으며, II) 안정해를 얻기위한 조석주기는 4주기었다. 또한, III) 조도계수는 C=(1/n)$h^{1/6}$으로 충분히 나타낼수 있었다.

연안역의 냉배수 확산모델링 (Diffusion Modelling of Cold Discharge on Coastal waters)

  • The cold discharge from LNG(liquefied natural gas) terminal makes the water temperature around the terminal fall down. This temperature reduction may result in serious changes on marine ecosystem of the coastal area. The numerical model experiments of material transport and tidal circulation in the inner bay, Chinhae Bay are investigated in the dispersion of cold discharge from LNG terminal. The condition of ambient water is exposed to tide, tidal current and cold discharge temperature. Simple numerical model experiments highlight the importance of tidal circulation and cold discharge at each case and some results are discussed. The results of this study can be used as the guideline for the site selection of LNG terminals and long-term marine environmental impact assessment.

南東 아시아 海域의 潮汐 數値 模型 (A Numerical Tidal Model for the Southeast Asian Seas)

  • 본 연구에서는 기조역항이 포함된 1/12$^{\circ}$x1/12$^{\circ}$의 해상도를 갖는 2차원 조석모형을 사용하여, 동남아시아 전역에 대한 4개의 반일주조(M$_2$, S$_2$, $K_2$, $N_2$)와 4개의 일주조(K$_1$, $O_2$, P$_1$, Q$_1$)의 분포를 산정하였다. 산정 결과들은 관측 자료들과의 비교되었으며 기존의 Schwiderski의 조석도및 기존의 일부 해역만을 포함하는 조석도와 비교 검토되었다

영일만내의 유동과 수질특성에 관한 연구 (Study on Current and Water Quality Characteristics in Yongil Bay)

  • The water quality in Yongil Bay is getting worse due to the sewage and the waste water from the surrounding industrial complex. The study aims to simulate the current system that is necessary to build ecosystem model for the optium water quality control and clarify the correlation of current system characteristics with water quality in Yongil Bay. To clarify the characteristics of coastal water movement system and verify the applicability of the 3-D model, the current system was simulated using 3-D model baroclinic model which considers tidal current and density effects. As the results of numerical experiments, it is proved the 3-D model is the most applicable on appearing the current system of the stratificated Yongil Bay difference of density. Form the results of simulation considered tidal current only, it can be clarified that the water body flows in the inner bay through the bottom layer and flows out the outer bay through the surface layer in Yongil Bay. And the fresh water from the Hyongsan river and the thermal discharge form POSCO have a little effect on the current system in Yongil Bay, but the diffusion of heat and salt has an important effect upon the formation of the density stratification of the water quality distribution is closely related with the current structure characteristics as well as the tidal residual current system in Yongil Bay.

GIS와 해수유동모델의 연계방안 연구 (A Study on the Integration GIS with Hydrodynamic Model)

  • The integration of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) with the hydrodynamic model was conducted in order to revitalize the use of geographical information and to aid in the understanding of tidal circulation patterns. A 2D finite difference numerical model was used to simulate n tidal circulation in the Suyoung Bay in Busan, Korea. CIS, especially the ArcView S/W is used to input the data of the numerical model, and is also used for the visualization of model outputs on the ground in the loosely coupled method. In this paper, an electronic navigational chart (ENC), which provides more accurate information in the ocean and coastal areas than any other digital information, is used as a base map for this integration. With the help of GIS, the integration can support th understanding of oceanographic information.

The Numerical Analysis of Jeju Harbor Flow Considering Effect of Seasonal Wind

  • The effect of seasonal wind on the tidal circulation in Jeju harbor was examined by using a numerical shallow water model. A finite element for analyzing shallow water flow is presented. The Galerkin method is employed for spatial discretization. Two step explicit finite element scheme is used to discretize the time function, which has advantage in problems treating large numbers of elements and unsteady state. The numerical simulation is compared with three cases; Case 1 does not consider the effect of wind, Case 2 and Case 3 consider the effect of summer and winter seasonal wind, respectively. According to result considering effect of seasonal wind, velocity of current vector shows slightly stronger than that of case 1 in the flow field. It can be concluded that the present method is a useful and effective tool in tidal current analysis.

라그랑지안 입자추적법에 의한 유출유 확산모델링 (The Application of Lagrangian Particle-Tracking Method to Modelling of Oil-Spill Dispersion)

  • To predict the oil-spill dispersion in marine waters, the oil-spill dispersion model based on Lagrangian particle-tracking method was developed and applied to Kwangyang and Jinju Bay. The tidal current movements to be required as input data of the oil-spill dispersion model were obtained by a two-dimensional numerical tidal model. Evaluation of tidal current movements using mean tide was successful. Modelling results were compared with the field data obtained at spill site. There were some descrepancies between modeling results and field data. However, the general pattern of modelling results was similar to that of field data. Provided the real-time tidal currents and more accurate wind data are supported, more favorable results can be obtained.

As the results of numerical experiments, it is proved the 3-D model is the most appliable on the Yongil Bay where current flows slowly and the flow direction is varied by depths. From the results of simulation considered tidal current only, It am be clearly said the water in Yongil Bay flows in through the surface layer and flows out through the bottom layer. And the fresh water from the Hyongsan river and the heated discharge from POSCO have little effect on the current structure in Yonggil Bay, but have and important effect upon the density structure by diffusion of heat and salt. And the water quality distribution is closely related with the current structure characteristics as well as the tidal residual current system.

사강하구의 조석 및 토사이동 (Tide and Sediment Transport in the Keum River Estuary)

  • 사강하구의 비선형 조석 및 이에 관련된 퇴적동력학을 조석수치모형을 이용하여 조사하였다. 조석모형은 하구조문대의 노출양상 및 이차원 하구모형과 일차원 감조하천모형을 동적접합시키는 데 역점을 두었다. 모형의 결과는 하구의 강한 봉제소산에도 불구하고 M$_4$분조는 상당한 크기로 산정되었으며 이에 의한 조석비선형은 강한 장조와 상대적으로 약하나 대적시간이 긴 노조로서 제시된 바 하구사주형성의 한 요인이 된다. 또한 모형으로부터 산정된 해저최대봉제응력의 공간적인 분포는 사강하구둑 건설로 인해 군산항접 근수로 및 하구둑 하류부에 큰 퇴적변화가 야기될 수 있음을 제시하고 있다.
