We study factors that affect consumers' switching behaviors among service providers in Korean mobile telecommunications service market. For empirical analysis, quarterly time series data from the first quarter of 2004 through the second quarter of 2007 were used. We chose the number of switchers to each mobile service provider in each quarter as dependent variables. Independent variables include acquisition costs per subscriber, which play the role of subsidy to mobile handset, switching costs, time trend, structural change effect, and waiting demand effects. Through the empirical analysis, we found that each provider's churn-in customers are affected by different factors. Specifically, the number of churn-in customers into SK Telecom is explained mainly by SK Telecom's customer acquisition costs and waiting demand from KTF, while the number of customers switching into KTF is better explained by switching costs from the previous service provider and waiting demand from SK Telecom. Those who chose LG Telecom as their new provider, on the other hand, were mainly attracted by LG Telecom's high subscriber acquisition cost.

The telecommunications market in European Union was fully liberalized as schedule except some member countries on and after January 1, 1998. The full liberalization of telecommunications market which will provide lower charges and various services to consumers. At present, the monopoly on voice telephony services is being maintained in five member countries authorized the implementation delay of liberalization. There are still remain many problems, such as pre-selection of carriers, number portability and interconnection, to solve by January 1, 2000. After examining the basic principle of telecommunication regulations and the liberalization trends of EU countries, we review the future assignments and prospects of European Union. finally we suggest implications for telecommunication policy and carriers in Korea.

번호이동성(Number Portability)은 전화가입자가 사업자, 지역 및 서비스를 바꾸어도 기존에 사용하고 있는 자신의 전화번호를 그대로 유지할 수 있도록 하는 제도이다. 경쟁적인 측면에서 이동전화 번호이동성(Mobile Number Portability: MNP)은 로밍(roaming)서비스와 함께 이동전화시장의 소매 가입부문의 경쟁을 촉진할 수 있다. 우리나라의 경우 2001년 1월 8일에 개정된 전기통신 사업법에서 번호이동성의 국내 도입과 관련된 사항들을 규정하였다. 유선전화 번호이동성의 경우 2003년 말부터 구현이 가능한 지역부터 제공할 예정이며, 이동전화 번호이동성의 경우 3G서비스부터 먼저 실시할 계획으로 복수의 사업자가 3G 서비스를 개시한 이후 6개월 이내부터 도입할 예정이다. 본 연구에서는 호주의 이동전화 번호이동성의 도입사례를 검토하여 국내 이동전화 번호이동성 정책의 수립에 적용될 수 있는 시사점을 도출하고자 한다.

This paper proposes a prepaid system promotion policy for the 3G(WCDMA) MVNO with regard to the newly included paragraphs 3, 4 and 5 of Article 32 (User Protection) and Article 38 (Provision of Wholesale Telecommunications Services) of the Telecommunication Business Act, which was revised on March 22, 2010. As of June 2011, there are only a few prepaid system subscribers to the mobile communications service due to various limitations, including prepay, interconnection, carrier selection, the MVNO policy, and number portability. However, overseas communications service regulatory agencies and service providers are increasingly presenting policies and strategies for mobile prepaid plans, in order to accommodate the various customer demands that are increasing the use of smart phones and data. This paper advances various proposals concerning promotion of the prepaid system by the 3G MVNO under the current Telecommunication Business Act, including separation of the prepaid data system and the mobile network; introduction of a monthly fixed-rate hybrid prepaid system, a top-up system and USIM system; introduction of mobile network carrier selection; differentiated retail discounts between prepaid and post-paid prices; revision of the retail discount policy for wholesale provision; increase in the number of mandatory service providers; and in-depth consideration of the introduction of a number portability policy for the prepaid and post-paid systems.

본 논문은 미연방통신위원회(FCC)가 1996년 6월, 1997년 3월, 1997년 8월에 각각 발표한 자료를 중심으로 미국이 번호이동성을 구현하는 데 있어 적용한 구현기준, 구현방식, 추진과정 등을 분석하였다. 그리고 이러한 분석결과를 토대로 국내 번호이동성 구현시 고려할 사항들을 제시하였다.

We survey the software faults according to the software characteristics, so we can use it to make a software testcases. We divide the software fault according to six characteristics, functionality, usability, reliability, efficiency, maintainability, and portability. We analyze the software faults to find the common factors according to the software products, also we survey the number of faults according to six characteristics. We propose the method of weight application using the relative comparison of the number of faults.

The Korean mobile telecommunication service market is faced with a tremendous competitive period, in which the market is entering into the maturity stage with launching of the 3rd generation service and with introduction of mobile number portability. In general, it is more important to sustain the old customers than to attracting new customers, as the life cycle of an industry is entering the maturity stage in which the growth rate of new customers is decreasing gradually or becoming stagnant. Thus, mobile telecommunication business has to seek a way to maintain the existing customers instead of promoting new customers. So this study investigates whether the service quality of mobile telecommunication could have effects on the switching barrier of the industry. In order to test the hypothesis on the effects of service quality of mobile telecommunication in Korea on switching barrier, this study collected the questionnaire response data of students including middle and high school students and undergraduates, who are regarded as the major customers in that mobile telecommunication industry.

Software quality is very important in software. We think, software testing is very important in point of functionality, usability. But, we have to consider about all of the software quality. We change our thinking about software quality from time to time. In this paper, we try to the best to find important factors by the number of testing dates and the number of testing in point of functionality, usability, reliability, efficiency, portability, maintainability. We study the mean of the number of faults according to products. We find the difference the number of errors by sex of tester.
