Study on Static Characteristics of Hybrid Spool Valve (하이브리드 스폴밸브의 정특성 연구)

  • In this study, the 4-way spool valve characteristics are clearly defined and proposed new type of spool valve. This paper presents governing equations of the flow through clearances between sleeve and spool as a model of orifice flow for null characteristic analysis, and programmed analysis software of it. This software is possible to basically analysis that not only which case of open center, closed center or critical center but +,- displacement of spool, lab position, boundary region and spool opening of the valve, and to estimate the pressure variation in the spool and external leak flow variation. We are convinced that the scale of load pressure difference is changed as lab condition of spool valve, and this scale is changed with boundary point on the annular clearance. It is vary useful to designer and user of spool valve with this design data and analysis software.

  • In this paper, we study the position vectors of a spacelike W-curve (or a helix), i.e., curve with constant curvatures, with spacelike, timelike and null principal normal in the Minkowski 3-space $\mathbb{E}_1^3$. We give some characterizations for spacelike W - curves whose image lies on the pseudohyperbolical space $\mathbb{H}_0^2$ and Lorentzian sphere $\mathbb{S}_1^2$ by using the positions vectors of the curve.

  • This paper proposes an empty constituent, a silent beat, to express long duration of stressed syllable in the word final position and rhythmic correspondence in English. This empty constituent has an important consequence. It helps reveal one of the characteristics English feet have: they must be non-final in nouns as well as in verbs. In addition, the silent beats overcome the shortcomings of empty constituents proposed previously, namely null vowels (Burzio 1994) and invisible suffixes (Hammond 1999).

  • The installation of wireless communication system for various services of ITS at 5.8 GHz generates mutual interference. The representative example, the sharing of frequency between DSRC system and ETC system is a cause of communication error or disturbance both sides or one side owing to mutual interference. As a solution, a Shield Plate, Antenna Directionality, Power Control is proposed, but these are not perfect solution, because a RSU doesn't have the information of position of interferer. This paper applies an adaptive array antenna which makes a gain for desired users, makes a null for interferer, to up-link, down-link of DSRC and ETC system. The analysis of BER performance shows the effect of reduced interference about 20 dB.

  • For micro-weighing, null balance method is widely used in the precision industrial fields, such as biomedicine, semiconductor, chemistry and so on. In order to obtain high resolution and large measurement range simultaneously, the mechanism should be analyzed and optimized. However, large measurement error can be generated according to the mass loading position and this error is called as a corner loading error. The corner loading error is caused by the parallelism error of a Roberval mechanism used to minimize it. The corner loading error is one of the most dominant error sources that should be removed. It is possible to design that the mechanism has no corner loading error theoretically, but the mechanism of the micro weighing device is very difficult to be realized as original design due to assembling and manufacturing error. For the required specification of the device, the precise manufacturing technique under a few $\mu\textrm{m}$ is required for the realization of the design. In this paper, the effects of the parallelism error are analyzed by using Lagrange method and verified by experiment. Also, the compensation mechanism is proposed and the corner loading error is reduced by restoring tile parallelism.

  • Radar system must estimate exactly quickness and target in interference channel. Because interference of radio channel is multipath channel by artificial structure and nature structure. signal estimation is difficult. As long as, get rid of interference signal have been study digital beamforming, adaptive array antenna and so on. In this paper, proposed SPT-SALCMV beamforming algorithm get rid of coherent interference algorithm and adaptive array antenna. Adaptive array forms null pattern and reduces gains for direction of interference signal. And estimate signal that want by keeping gains of beam pattern changelessly to target signal direction. In this paper, proposed SPT-SALCMV algorithm was exactly received position of target. But general SPT-LCMV algorithm resulted beam error about 30degrees. Therefore, proved that SPT-SALCMV algerian that propose in this paper is more excellent than genaral SPT-LCMV algorithm.

Why Are Sentential Subjects Not Allowed in Seem-type Verbs in English?

  • The purpose of this paper is to show the internal structure of the socalled sentential subject constructions in English. The constructions that we examine in this paper are such as It seems that John failed in the syntax exam vs. *That John failed in the syntax exam seems and It really stinks that the Giants lost the World Series vs. That the Giants lost the World Series really stinks. As seen above, the English verb seem does not tolerate the sentential subject. This is in sharp contrast to other English verbs such as suck, blow, bite, and stink, which do allow the sentential subject. There are several issues regarding these constructions. First, where is the sentential subject located? Second, is the sentential subject assigned structural Case? Third, is the sentential subject extraposed or does it remain in its base-generated complement position? Fourth, is the sentential subject a base-generated topic in the specifier position of CP, as Arlenga (2005) claims? In this paper, we argue that sentential subjects are base-generated in the specifier of the verbal phrase in case of stink-type verbs, while they are licensed as a complement to verbs like seem. We also argue that a sentential subject can be raised in the seem-type verbal constructions, if it were part of the complement small clause.

  • Electro-pneumatic servo valve is an electro-mechanical device which converts electric signals into a proper pneumatic flow rate or pressure. In order to improve the overall performance of pneumatic servo systems, electro-pneumatic servo valves are required, which have fast dynamic characteristics, no air leakage at a null point, and can be fabricated at a low-cost. The first objective of this research is to design and to fabricate a new electro-pneumatic servo valve which satisfies the above-mentioned requirements. In order to design the mechanism of the servo valve optimally, the flow inside the valve depending upon the position of spool was analyzed variously, and on the basis of such analysis results, the valve mechanism, which was formed by combination of the spool and the sleeve, was designed and manufactured. And a tester for conducting an overall performance test was designed and manufactured, and as a result of conducting the flow rate test, the pressure test and the frequency test on the developed pneumatic servo valve.

  • 본 논문에서는 매입형 영구자석 동기 전동기(IPM)의 회전자 초기각 및 전동기 제정수에 대한 정보가 전혀 없는 초기 상태에서 고주파 주입을 통한 제정수 추정기법을 제안한다. IPM 의 경우 정확한 제정수 추정을 위해서는 회전자의 초기각에 대한 정보를 필요로 한다. 고주파 신호 주입에 의한 주입 센서리스 제어 방법을 적용하여 초기 제정수 추정과 동시에 초기각에 대한 정보를 얻고, 이를 바탕으로 제정수를 보다 정밀하게 추정하게 된다. 제안된 방식은 모든 IPM 모터에 적용가능하며, 제정수와 더불어 초기각의 위치도 얻을 수 있어 전동기 제어의 초기 설정에 용이하다. 모의실험을 통하여 제안된 기법의 타당성을 검증하였다.
