Daesoon Jinrihoe is one of Korea's most influential religious organizations. Its doctrines and creeds include a rich variety of concepts, and among these, the philosophical notion of 'feminine virtue' holds tremendous value. This paper will explore the multitude meanings of feminine virtue, assume these as a foundation, and then examine the doctrines of Daesoon Jinrihoe to analyze the universality and uniqueness of the philosophical notion of feminine virtue. Additionally, background theoretical points of interest and distinctive features will likewise be analyzed to show the truly valuable lessons that this concept holds for today and why it is so worthy of research and promotion.

Teachers unfold a series of timeless mathematical symbols such as 5+2=7 in time by verbalizing the symbols in classrooms. A number sentence 5+2=7 is read in Korean as '5 더하기 2는(five plus two) 7과(seven) 같다(equals). Unlike in English, 5+2 and 7 are read first before the equal sign in Korean. This sequence of reading in Korean conflicts with the conventional linguistic sequence of writing from left to right. Ways of resolving the discrepancy between reading and writing sequences can make a difference students' understanding of the equal sign. Students would be in danger of perceiving the equal sign as an operational symbol, if a teacher resolves the discrepancy by subordinating reading sequence to linguistic convention of writing. This way of resolving results in the undesired phenomenon of changing the reading expressions in Korean elementary math textbook which represent relational notion of the equal sign into other reading expressions that represent operational notion of it. For understanding of relational notion of the equal sign, the discrepancy should be resolved by changing writing sequence in accordance with reading sequence. In addition, teaching of verbalizing the equal sign should be integrated with teaching of verbalizing inequality signs.

Purpose: The definition of healing and treatment is different between the East and the West. I suppose that the different definitions of them affect the notion of healing environment in two cultural area. Therefore the aim of this study is to consider the different perspective in healing environment between the East and the West. Methods: Relevant literature review around domestic and foreign reference in fields of medicine and architecture has been conducted to consider the purpose. Results: First, the perspective that the cause of disease stems from inside of body approaches the body from standpoint of healing for recovery. Healing is the way to conquer imbalance by entering into a connection with nature around body. The concept of healing could analyze that it come from relevant perspective. Second, the healing environment in the East is the place where the flow of Qi between, human and human, and, human and environment, keep a balance. The notion of healing environment in the East is the filed of relations. In the West, the notion of healing environment is the place where arouse fine emotions through sensory stimulations. Implications: Recently the studies of healing environment focus on deducing sensory stimulation factors scientifically in the perspective of the West. But the healing environment couldn't be possible without the notion of place of relations. In the future, the notion of healing environment as the field of relations in the East has to be concerned.

The notion of quasi-Einstein metric in theoretical physics and in relation with string theory is equivalent to the notion of Ricci soliton in differential geometry. Quasi-Einstein metrics or Ricci solitons serve also as solution to Ricci flow equation, which is an evolution equation for Riemannian metrics on a Riemannian manifold. Quasi-Einstein metrics are subject of great interest in both mathematics and theoretical physics. In this paper the notion of Ricci 𝜌-soliton as a generalization of Ricci soliton is defined. We are motivated by the Ricci-Bourguignon flow to define this concept. We show that if a 3-dimensional almost Kenmotsu Einstein manifold M is a 𝜌-soliton, then M is a Kenmotsu manifold of constant sectional curvature -1 and the 𝜌-soliton is expanding with λ = 2.

This study was an attempt to present an appropriate way of interpreting L2 learners' linguistic behavior within Universal Grammar (UG) framework. Based on the Korean EFL adult learners' performance on the Subjacency violation sentences, the study suggested that the EFL learners are able to acquire subtle knowledge of target grammar and their linguistic behavior should be interpreted with the most recent version of UG theory, the Minimalist Program (MP) notion. The MP notion seems more plausible to accommodate incomplete L2 grammar while acknowledging UG-constrained interlanguage which the previous version, Principles and Parameters (P&P) approach, could not explain very well. The study observed no age-effects among the Korean EFL learners in their linguistic competence measured by the performance on the UG-constraint violation sentences. Having suggested that the MP notion can be a more reasonable tool to explain the EFL learners' linguistic behavior, the study introduced comprehensive hypotheses such as Constructionist Model (CM) and the Ontogeny Phylogeny Model (OPM).

Recently Samet, Vetro and Vetro introduced the notion of ${\alpha}$-${\Psi}$-contractive type mappings and initiated some fixed point theorems in complete metric spaces. The notion of ${\alpha}_*$ - ${\Psi}$-contractive multifunctions and initiated some fixed point results by Hasanzade Asl et. al. [8]. In this paper, we introduced the notion of ${\alpha}_*$ - ${\Psi}$-contractive multifunctions in a fuzzy metric space and gave fixed point results for these multifunctions in complete fuzzy metric spaces. We also obtain a fixed point results for self-maps in complete fuzzy metric spaces satisfying contractive condition.

De Zolt's axiom which is a precise formulation of Euclid's Common Notion 5, "the whole is greater than the part", for the notion of 'content' holds in any Hilbert plane. In this article, we study the history of de Zolt's axiom which has its origin in Euclid's Common Notions, and introduce an example of a plane geometry in which de Zolt's axiom does not hold. We show that there is no area function in this geometry and every square is equidecomposable with a square which is properly contained in the first one. From this we also show that there are two equidecomposable rectangles which have the same base and do not have the same altitude, and there is a rectangle which is equicomplementable with an emptyset.

This paper attempts to define various notions involving focus and topic found in Korean and also employs phonetic measures to verify the plausibility of those notions that are theoretically argued for. This paper crucially relies on Prince (1981) for the notion of familiarity and its pragmatic significance, and adopts Rooth's (1985) notion of alternative set and utilizes it in the light of pragmatic interpretation. The basic idea of this paper is to decompose the notion alternative set into finer-grained components and to assign various levels of familiarity to those finer components, thereby helping define different kinds of focus and topic according to the properties of those sub-components.

We have developed an ideal functionality for security requirement of functional encryption schemes. The functionality is needed when we want to show the security of a functional encryption scheme in universal composable (UC) framework. A functionality $F_{fe}$ was developed to represent ideal respond of a functional encryption scheme against any polynomial time active attacker. We show that UC security notion of functional encryption scheme $F_{fe}$ is as strong as fully secure functional encryption in an indistinguishable game with chosen cipher text attack. The proof used a method that showing for any environment algorithm, it can not distinguish ideal world where the attacker play with ideal functionality $F_{fe}$ and real world where the attacker play a fully secure functional encryption scheme.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of elderly generation sympathy, family intimacy and age-friendly environment of young and middle-aged generations on supporting the older adults, and to identify differences of influencing factors among generations. With these purpose, we used data of the '2017 Age Integration Survey' provided by the Humanities and Social Capacity Enhancement Project in Korea Research Foundation. The analysis of the data was performed on 640 participants who were between 18 and 64 years old, and they were selected from total 1017 study population. The analysis method was the Structural Equation Model(SEM). The results of this study were as follow. Firstly, elderly generation sympathy and family intimacy were significant statistically significant effect on the notion of supporting the older adults positively to all generations. Secondly, the relationship between the notion of supporting the older adults and the influential factors suggested in this study was found to be significant among the generations. Thirdly, the young generation showed a statistically significant effect on the notion of supporting the older elderly generation sympathy and family intimacy. Elderly generation sympathy and family intimacy had a significant statistical impact in the middle aged generation, however, age-friendly environment significant statistically significant effect on notion of supporting the older adults negatively. With these results, we presented practical and policy suggestions to enhance the notion of supporting the older adults.
