The idea of the school networks for joint venture and use of school facilities is forming and using an organic network of schools that will communally share a group of facilities that are uniquely appropriate for each schools. Focused on two prominent cities of Northern Choongnam province, Cheonan and Asan city, the objective of this study is to present and exhibit the plans for joint venture and use of school facilities, and to use them as an example for other provincial cities within the nation where such renovation may be possible. The school networks is proposed based on units of 1 km radius around each site, that is named as small school network, in order to ease the communal use of the sidewalks by the residents and the facilities by the nearby schools. In Cheonan city, six small school networks were proposed, which will supply three to four elementary schools for an average of 50,000 people. On the other hand, Asan city, which showed shortages of elementary schools, three small school networks including the middle and high schools in addition to the elementary schools were proposed, that will provide three to six schools for an average of 30,000 people.

In this paper the author added 25 unrecorded and 82 known species up to the end of 1975. The number of species present in Korea have increased from 239 to 346. These are belonging to 143 genera and 37 families. In view of zoogeography Korean spiders may be grouped as follows: 60 northern species $(17.3\%)$ 15 southern species $(4.4\%)$ 11 cosmopolitan species$(3.2\%)$ 260 basic species$(75.1\%)$ 47 endemic species $(13.6\%)$ Species common with China mainland, 100 species $(28.6\%)$ and Japanese, 290 species $(83.8\%)$.

북양산(北洋産) 주요(主要) 침(針), 활엽수재(闊葉樹材)의 물리적(物理的) 성질(性質)(밀도(密屠), 만재율(晩材率), 공권율(孔圈率), 평균년수폭(平均年輸幅))과 역학적(力學的) 성질(性質)(종압축강도, 횡압축강도, 전단강도에 관하여 연구(硏究) 조사하였다. 이 실험(實驗)의 연구(硏究) 결과(結果)는 다음과 같다. 밀도(密度)와 만재율(晩材率)은 물리적(物理的) 역학적(力學的) 성질(性質)과 밀접(密接)한 관계(關係)를 나타낸 반면, 공권율(孔圈率)과 평균년수폭(平均年輸幅)은 물리적(物理的) 역학적(力學的) 성질(性質)과 거의 관계(關係)가 없음을 나타내었다.

In this paper, the geotechnical report of the Northern Fereshteh area in Tabriz is used and the characteristics of shallow foundation of a single pile and compared pile group and geogrid in terms of the settlement of a building foundation on clayey soil. Additionally, impacts of existing variables such as the number of geogrid layers, the length of the pile, and the depth of groundwater level affected by the dynamic load caused by the Taiwan Jiji earthquake via numerical analysis using PLAXIS software are examined. The results of fifty-four models indicated that the construction of a pile group with a diameter of 1 meter and a length of 14 meters significantly diminished the consolidation settlement of the soil in the Northern Fereshteh area, where the settlement value has been triggered by the load inflicted by earthquake. Moreover, the construction of four layers of geogrid at intervals of one meter led to a significant decrease in the settlement. Finally, after reaching a maximum depth, it had no reducing effects on the foundation settlement.

Background: Breast cancer is a common cancer affecting women in Malaysia and the use of complementary/alternative medicine (CAM) has been associated with delays in getting treatment. The aim of the study was to explore the use of CAM and the influencing factors in the Northern region of Peninsular Malaysia. Materials and Methods: This was a cross-sectional descriptive study on a convenience sample of 100 Malaysian breast cancer survivors. Findings: The reported use of CAM among the breast cancer survivors was lower than in other studies but the types of CAM used had a similar pattern with nutrition supplements/vitamins being the most common. The factors that positively influenced the use of complimentary/traditional therapy were income and getting information from television or radio. Survivors with access to internet/blogs appear to have lower odds of using complimentary/traditional therapy compared to the respondents who reported no such access. Conclusions: Information transmitted via television and radio appears to have a positive influence on CAM use by breast cancer patients compared to other information sources and it is important to ensure that such information is accurate and impartial.

The purpose of this study was to investigate consumers' utilization and satisfaction of the current food labeling system, their awareness of the nutrition labeling and its necessity, and their acceptance of the future enforcement of nutrition labeling. Questionnaires were distributed to 500 adult female consumers in Northern area of Kyonggi-do. Out of 402 questionnaires collected 358(89.1%) were analyzed using SAS computer program. The findings of this study were as follow: First, in the aspects of consumers' utilization and satisfaction of the current food labeling system, although they payed much attention to the food labels when they purchased food goods, the degree of their satisfaction in food labels was low. Among items in food labels they payed more attention to the expiration date, the date of production, and the name of manufacturer. However, the current food labeling system does not offer sufficient and reliable informations to consumers. Second, in the awareness of nutrition labeling and its necessity, majority of consumers appeared not to have seen the nutrition labeling in food products either domestic or imported. However, 93% of respondents answered that nutrition labeling is necessary. Third, in terms of the consumers' acceptance of enforcement of nutrition labeling, they were affirmative in bearing the increased costs, and their expectation to the beneficial effects of enforcement of nutrition labeling was stronger than worrying about the disadvantages or side effects of it.

다양한 광조건에서 식물의 생장조절에 관여하는 광수용체인 phytochrome B(PhyB) 유전자를 교잡종 포플러 수항1호에서 분리하였다. 염기서열분석 결과, PhyB cDNA는 길이가 3,456bp 이었으며 1,156개의 아미노산으로 구성된 단백질을 암호화하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. PhyB 단백질은 아미노산 수준에서 Populus balsamfera PhyB1과 98%의 높은 상동성을 나타내었다. Northern blot 분석 결과, PhyB 유전자는 광조건에서는 높은 수준으로 발현되지만, 암조건에서는 발현되지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과들을 종합하여 볼 때 PhyB는 빛에 의하여 발현이 유도되며 광수용체 역할을 하는 것으로 여겨진다.

The seasonal abundance of horse and deer flies (family Tabanidae) was analyzed using Mosquito Magnet$^{(R)}$ traps at 5 sites located near/in the demilitarized zone, northern Gyeonggi-do, Republic of Korea from late April to early October for 4 consecutive years (2010-2013). A total of 2,999 horse and deer flies (tabanids) belonging to 5 genera and 20 species were collected. Chrysops mlokosiewiczi (90.9%) was the most frequently collected, followed by Haematopota koryoensis (4.8%) and C. suavis (1.0%). The remaining 17 species comprised only of 3.3% of all species collected. C. mlokosiewiczi demonstrated bimodal peak populations during mid-June and early August, while H. koryoensis demonstrated a unimodal peak during mid-July. Overall numbers of tabanids collected were influenced by the previous year's winter temperatures and precipitation. Population abundance was influenced by habitat with most of tabanids collected from habitats near forested areas, followed by rice paddies, and a beef farm.

This paper is given for the first time as a list of spiders from Chuncheon area, in land of kang-weon-do, mid-eastern part of Korea. Materials were collected during the early August 1972 by the Biological members of the chuncheon girl's high school, in chuncheon area. In addition to this materials collected by paik and Nam kung during July 1973 at Mt. Sam-ak which is located on south-west of chuncheon were examined. 1) In this paper, tile authors record 105 species of spiders belonging to 22 families, including 4 undetermined species from chuncheon area. 2) The followings are newly added to the spider fauna in Korea. a) Curstulina sp. b) Zelotes asiaticus(BOES. et STR.) 3) These materials are not sufficient for general discussion of the spider fauna of chuncheon area, however, an outline can be summarized as follow: 21 northern species $(20.8\%)$ 5 southern species $(5.0\%)$ 3 cosmopolitan species $(3.0\%)$ 72 plaearctic species $(71.2\%)$

This study explored teachers (n = 219) from northern, central, southern and eastern Taiwan concerning their views about children's learning difficulties, mathematical instruction and school mathematics curricular. Results showed that teachers' mathematics knowledge or their instruction methods had no significant influence on their views of children's learning difficulties. Even though teachers indicated that understanding of abstract mathematical concepts was the most prominent difficulty for children, they tended to employ direct instruction rather than constructive and cooperative problem solving in their teaching. However, teachers' views of children's learning difficulties did influence their instructional practice. Results from in-dept interviews revealed that there were some obstacles that prevented teachers from putting constructiveism perspectives of instruction into teaching practice. Further investigation is needed to develop a better understanding of epistemology and teaming psychology as well as to help teachers create constructive learning situations.
