칠산도 노랑부리백로 유조의 이소 후 하절기 행동권 (Home Range of Juvenile Chinese Egrets Egretta eulophotes during Post-fledging Stage in Chilsan Archipelago, Republic of Korea)

  • 번식지에서 이소하여 분산한 유조의 이동 패턴과 서식지를 파악하는 것은 개체 보전과 관리를 위해 매우 중요하다. 노랑부리백로는 국제적인 보호종으로 필리핀, 말레이시아, 대만 등지에서 월동하며, 중국, 러시아, 우리나라 서해 무인도서에서 번식한다. 본 연구에서는 2018년도와 2019년도에 영광 칠산도에서 번식하여 이소한 노랑부리백로 유조 총 6개체를 대상으로 야생동물위치추적장치를 부착하여 이소 후 하절기 동안 이동 경로 및 행동권 분석을 통해 주요 서식지 이용 양상을 파악하였다. 2018년도에 번식한 노랑부리백로 유조 3개체 중 CE1801 개체는 이소 후 북상을 하다가 다시 영광 백수 갯벌 지역으로 회귀하여 서식하였으며, 나머지 CE1802, CE1803 개체는 태안 지역으로 북상하여 서식하였다. 2019년도의 경우 CE1901 개체는 CE1801 개체와 유사한 패턴을 보였으며, CE1902 개체는 완도 지역으로 남하하여 서식하였고, CE1903 개체는 신안 지역으로 남하하다가 다시 영광 백수 갯벌 지역으로 회귀하여 핵심 행동권을 보였다. 본 연구에서 노랑부리백로 유조는 하절기 동안 안정적인 서식지를 찾기 위해 서해안 갯벌 지역을 중심으로 폭 넓게 이동을 하였다. 향후 노랑부리백로 유조가 이용하는 핵심 서식지에 대해 개발과 출입을 제한하는 등 서식지 보호를 위한 노력이 필요하다.

서울지역 학교 교실의 실내환경 조사연구 (A Study on the Indoor Environment of school classrooms in Seoul area)

  • In 15 schools where were chosen each location (East, West, South, North, Central) of Seoul area, 9 items were measured such as thermo circumstance(temperature, relative humidity, air current, intensity of illumination) particulate matter, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, and nitrogen dioxide being based on the school indoor environment standard. It was showed that indoor temperature, relative humidity and air movement were suitable in comparison with school indoor environment standard. Intensity of illumination was suitable in comparison with all schools, only exception 2 schools. In all investigated schools were adequate for carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide, in which each indoor environment standard (10ppw, 0.25ppm/hr, 0.15ppm/hr), but in 5 schools the carbon dioxide were exceeded for standard limit 1,000ppm of Korea. Indoor concentration of dust(PM-10) induced from respiration dust the standard of Korea ($150{\mu}g/m^3$) at all schools.

전남지역 석탑의 출현과 특성 (Beginning and Characteristics of Stone pagoda in Jeonnam Region)

  • Formative and structural characteristics of stone pagoda in Jeonnam area are known in largely two flows. One is that characteristic of stone pagoda in Jeonnam area of the Unified Silla is shown in eastern Jeonnam and some southern Jeonnam. But it is not shown in surroundings of Yeongsan river. Another is that besides stone pagoda in Silla style where social aspects of Goryeo are reflected, stone pagoda in Baekje style appeared. On the other hand, stone brick pagoda and non-typical stone pagoda appeared. These stone pagodas were developed mainly in north and west of Jeonnam, and could be classified in pure Baekje style and a cross style according to formative and structural characteristics. Stone brick pagoda is extant in Wolnamsa site and Woonjusa in Chungcheong and Jella areas which are old places of Baekje.

원격탐사를 이용한 한반도 주변해역의 해면변화 및 표층순환 (Sea level observations in the Korean seas by remote sensing)

  • 1993년에서 1997년까지의 위성고도계 자료(Topex/Poseidon)를 이용하여 한반도 주변해역의 해면 변화와 표층흐름을 조사하였다. 해면변화를 보면, 동해에 비해서 서해와 남해는 항상 상대적으로 높았다. 전 조사 기간에 걸쳐서 서해는 북부와 남부 해역에서 각각20-30cm와 18-24cm의 변화범위를 보였으며, 남해는 제주도 북서부 해역에서는 15-20cm 그리고 쓰시마섬 남서부 해역에서는 10-15cm의 변화범위를 각각 나타내었다. 서해의 경우에 황해난류의 표층 유입류와 해저 지형류의 영향을 받아 높은 변화를 보였다. 남해의 경우는 변화가 일어나는 두 곳 모두가 근원적으로는 쿠로시오 해류의 흐름에서 분기된 지류들의 흐름(제주난류와 동한난류) 때문에 해면변화를 보였다. 표층 순환은 동해에서 북한한류, 동한난류와 쓰시마 난류와 관련한 세가지 와류운동이 두드러지게 나타났다. 와류운동은 기본적으로 표층 순환에서 해류의 영향을 받았다; 원산만 앞바다의 반시계방향(0.03 cm/sec)의 흐름은 북한한류, 울릉도 남서쪽 해역의 시계방향(0.06 cm/sec)의 흐름은 동한난류, 그리고 쓰시마섬 북서쪽 해역은 쓰시마 난류와 각각 관계되어있는 것으로 보인다.

하계 서해안 새만금 연안역 주변 저염수와 순환 (Low-salinity Water and Circulation in Summer around Saemangeum Area in the West Coast of Korea)

  • 만경강과 동진강이 담수를 유출하는 서해중부 연안에서 41,000 ha의 하구 천해역을 간척하기 위해 33 km의 새만금 방조제가 건설되고 있다. 이 연안역에 담수의 주 공급원은 방조제 북쪽에 위치하는 금강이다 현재 고군산군도 와 연결되고 있는 방조제는 이 해역을 세 지역으로 나누는데 방조제의 북서, 남서 그리고 동부(새만금) 지역이고, 새만금 지역 해수는 북방조제에 한 곳과 남방조제에 두 곳인 미축조 구간을 통해 교환된다. 이 연안역에서 저염수와 관련된 하계순환을 진단하기 위해 1998년과 1999년에 수온과 염분의 분포와 구조를 관측하였다. 북방조제 외측지역의 표층에서는 저염수의 혀모양 분포가 관측되었는데, 금강하구 입구에서 북서쪽으로 60 km까지 확장하고 외해수와 경계지어지는 강한 풀룸전선을 형성한다. 새만금 방조제 내측에서 염분분포는 두 강물이 병합되고 있으며 저염수가 북방조제 미축조 구간쪽으로 편향되었음을 보여준다. 남방조제 외측지역 표층에서는 곰소만으로부터 북쪽으로 확장하는 다른 저염수의 작은 혀모양 분포가 관측되었다. 이러한 저염수 분포와 전선구조 분석을 바탕으로 새만금 방조제 주변에 반시계방향의 연안수 순환을 제시할 수 있는데, 이는 방조제 내측에서 북방조제 미축조 구간으로 유출되는 하구 수와 남쪽 방조제 미축조 구간을 통하여 외해에서 유입하는 해수로 구성된다. 하지만 방조제 축조가 완성된 후에는 만경강과 동진강 담수 유출이 인위적이고 직접적으로 남방조제 외측으로 변경되기 때문에 방조제 주변 연안역 순환형태는 변화될 것이다.

The heavy Minerals of the Recent Sediments of North Carolina Sounds and Estuaries In U.S.A

  • The heavy minerals of a barred estuarine and lagoonal sediments along the North Carolina coast have been studied with more than one hundred samples. Currents, salinity, and pH exhibit well-developed gradients from the upstream parts of the estuaries on the west toward the open ocean on the east. Twenty- four heavy minerals were identified in sediments of the study area. However, less than half of these occur frequently and the remainder exist only in minor quantities or trace amounts. Heavy minerals usually comprise less than 1% of the sample but vary from sample to sample. The maximum amount of heavy minerals in sediments of sounds and estuaries is 2.4% and in sediments of Outer Banks is 16.7%. Opaque minerals range from 10 to 85% of the total heavy mineral assemblage. Garnet and sillimanite are relatively more abundant in the eastern part than the western part in the area. Garnet more abundant in the northern part than the southern part, whereas sillimanite is more abundant in the southern part than the northern part, because the garnet source is in the northern part and one of the sillimanite source is in the southern part in the study area. The results of heavy mineral study indicate that the source of sediments is the Blue Ridge and Piedmont crystalline complex, and Coastal Plain formations. Some portions of sediments are transported from the Atlantic Ocean by the landward currents. They further indicate that the sediments of the Atlantic coast in the study area are transported mainly from the northern part to southern part by longshore littoral currents, and some portions of sediments are transported from the southern part to the northern part by the Gulf Stream.

송광광산(松廣鑛山)의 지질광상(地質鑛床) (Geology and Ore deposits of Songgwang Mine)

  • Songgwang lead zinc mine is located in about 12km to the north-east of Jeonju City. Geology of the mine and its visinity is consisted of Jeonju series belonged to so-called Okcheon system, Seodaesan tuff formation, Silla series, and the quartz porphyry intruded into these formations. Jeonju series comprising 3 formations; that is, of Sadaeri, Sindong, and Girinbong. Jeonju series is generally distributed in southern part of the area, striking NNW, and diping NE $30^{\circ}$, or NW $30^{\circ}$. It is deformed to form synclinorium and anticlinorium plunging to the north with low angle. In the northern part of the area, Jeonju series was cut by Sinpeongri-fault of NEE direction near Sinpeongri. In the north side of the fault, it is overturned and shows NEE or NWW strikes and NW $60^{\circ}$ dips. At the west of Songgwangri, it is cut by 3 thrusts; the two are almost parallel each other, and the third oneis manifested by the fact that the lower black shale zone thrusted over the upper limestone. Songgwangri thrust, so named, is a post-mineral fault and its plane represents a premineral slip plane. Enrichment of are took place along the bedding plane or fissure parallel to it, as seen in adit No. 1 or No. 2 along the floor of the thrust, and along the sheared zone or the brecciated zone oblique to the plane near the thrust in crystalline limestone of Sindong formation as observed in the underground levels of inclined slope. Ore minerals are chiefly zincblende, galena, pyrrhotite, arsenopyrite, acompanied pyrite and chalcopyrite, and contain Au and Ag. In earlier stage of mineralization, the limestone was recrystalized, and sulphide minerals were enriched in the· permiable zone said above by pyrometasomatism, and in later stage the limestone was affected chloritization and sericitization. However hydrothermal replacement was weak, so that enrichment did not took place. It seems that minerallizing materials came up through the premineral slip plane and injected, and replaced the limestone in permiable zone said above with sulphide are minerals. Then Songgwangri thrust took place and, the lower black shale zone thrusted upon crystalline limestone.

한국 지리구분 분류체계에 관한 연구 (A Study of Korean Geographic Area Classification Systems)

  • 본 논문은 국내 대부분 도서관에서 사용하는 지리구분 분류체계의 지역범주의 포괄성과 나열에서 변방 우선의 원칙을 이해하기 위해 외국의 분류체계를 분석하고 국내 공공기관의 지역범주를 조사 및 분석하여 한국 지리구분 분류체계 구축 방향을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 연구방법은 기존의 도서관 분류 체계의 지역범주의 단위와 나열순서를 분석하고, 생활권 개념의 공공기관의 지역범주를 조사하였다. 연구결과로 도서관 분류체계에서 지역범주의 단위와 나열순서는 다양하였으며, 공공기관의 지역범주의 단위 역시 다양하였다. 본 연구에서 제안한 내용은 지역범주의 단위는 전국을 3단계의 계층구조가 가능하도록 최소 지역범주를 시, 군 2개를 합한 단위가 적합하며, 나열순서는 지역법주 내의 중심지역에서 시작하여 외부지역으로 순환하는 형태이다.

택시통행패턴에 따른 광주시 기능지역 분석 (Functional Areas of Kwang-ju City through Analysis of the Taxi-flow Pattern)

  • Amongst various analytic methods of internal structure of city, the factor analysis method which uses O-D matrix data has some merits and characteristics compared to other methods. 1) It is possible to find one certain interaction and flow pattern between traffic zones with in a city through reanalyzing O-D data which is too complex to grasp specific meaning or pattern of flow systems. 2) It can be easily visualized the traffic flow pattern by using adequate graphic techniques, and also can clarify the functional areas whose interaction linkages are significantly strong enough between each other. In this study, the taxi traffic O-D data between 42 traffic zones in Kwang-ju city was reanalyzied by varimax rotated factor analysis methods. As a result, four factors that have significant level factor loading (over 0.5 ) and factor score (over 1.0) were sorted out. so to speak four different functional areas were clarified in Kwang-ju city, of the West, the East, the south, and the North functional areas whose interaction linkages are significantly strong enough between each other. In the study, the taxi traffic O-D data between 42 traffic zones in Kwang-ju city was reanalyzied by varimax rotated factor analysis methods. As a result, four factors that have significant level factor loading (over 0.5) and factor score 9over 1.0) were sorted out. so to speak four different functional areas were clarified in Kwang-ju city, of the West, the East, the South, and the North functional area, then these four functional areas are almost coincided with citizen's general conception of community division and administrative district. Accordingly the factor analysis methods using traffic data seems to proved to be very accurate and useful analytic instruments for analyzing flow pattern and clarifying functional areas of city, and believed to provide basic informations and criteria for practical urban land use planning and transportation planning.

북서태평양 원격패턴에 의한 북서태평양 태풍활동에서의 변화 (Change in Western Pacific Tropical Cyclone Activity by Western North Pacific Teleconnection Pattern)

  • This study analyzes the characteristics of Western North Pacific (WNP) tropical cyclone (TC) activity and large-scale environments according to the Western Pacific (WP) teleconnection pattern in summer. In the positive WP phase, an anomalous cyclone and an anomalous anticyclone develop in the low and middle latitudes of the East Asia, respectively. As a result, southeasterlies are reinforced in the northeast area of the East Asia including Korea and Japan which facilitates the movement of TC to this area, whereas northwesterlies are reinforced in the southwest area of the East Asia including South China and Indochina Peninsula which blocks the movement of TC to this area. Due to the spatial distribution of this reinforced pressure system, TCs develop, move, and turn more to the northeast of WNP than those in the negative WP phase. Consequently, the characteristics of this TC activity in the positive WP phase are associated with the location of upper tropospheric jet further to the northeast. Meanwhile, TCs in the negative WP phase mainly move to the west from Philippines toward south China and Indochina Peninsula. Furthermore, due to the terrain effect caused by the high passage frequency of TCs in the mainland China, the intensity of TCs are weaker than those in the positive WP phase.
