품질전략과 경영성과간의 관계에서 통제시스템의 매개효과 (The intermediate Effects of Control System on the Relationship between Quality Strategy and Performance)

  • Normative theory suggests that control systems should be designed to complement management's objectives and strategies. However, few empirical studies have focused on how control systems have been modified to complement new manufacturing techniques, such as zero-defect strategy. The major purpose of this study is to examine the effects of the attributes of quality strategy and control system on performance. The previous studies have subdivided quality strategy into the ECL(economic conformance level) and ZD(zero-defect) strategy. To accomplish the purpose, this study empirically analysed the data based on the questionnaires from manufacturing department personnel of 67 Korean companies. The major results are as follows. The companies that had implemented the ZD strategy and its control system outperformed the companies that had implemented ECL strategy. Also, the ZD strategy differs from ECL strategy in control system, the criteria of performance evaluation and feedback frequence variable. There is no difference in quality performance monitoring and communication variable. From this results, although many companies have strived for continuous improvement of quality, it was restricted in improvement activities that dont's required much investment cost, quality performance monitoring and communication.

  • This study focuses on online communities and the ritual conversations of users when participating in sharing activities. The study aims to understand the social and psychological phenomena that occur between users within the context of Erving Goffman's impression management theory. Case studies and a content analysis were conducted by collecting posts and comments related to fashion products in the sharing activities category on Naver Cafe "Family Sale." On the one hand, the study identified various disposition motives among givers, including a desire for recognition, self-expression, activation of the community, emotional sympathy, goodwill, play, and simple disposition. On the other hand, receivers' purchase motives included the need for a product, reciprocation based on a sense of belonging, play, gift-giving, and simple response. Analyzing the posts of givers and the comments of receivers of fashion products using impression management strategies and dramaturgical analysis, the study interpreted users' impression management and revealed propensities in fashion consumption: fashionability, conspicuousness, value orientation, and economic feasibility. Through ritual conversations, users managed to attain emotional stability on an individual level, while they reinforced collective bonds on a social level. They fulfilled their roles with their own narratives to achieve personal and collective goals in a non-face-to-face situations and non-monetary transactions. This study is significant in that it examines normative communication in an online community and user relationships to understand a recent phenomenon in the fashion industry.

공공도서관 직원의 독서활동이 직무만족과 조직몰입에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effect of Reading Activities on Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment of Public Library Employees)

  • 본 연구는 기업의 독서경영과 문화경영이 직원의 직무만족과 조직몰입을 높이는 데 도움이 된다는 선행연구들을 기반으로, 공공도서관 직원의 독서활동이 직무만족도와 조직몰입도에 미치는 영향에 대하여 분석하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 설문조사를 통해 수집된 데이터의 분석결과, 이용자 독서모임 참여 정도에 따라 직무자체 만족도, 인간관계 만족도, 자아실현 만족도, 정서적 몰입도, 지속적 몰입도에서 유의한 차이가 있었다. 또한 공공도서관 직원의 독서량, 독서시간은 직무자체 만족도에 유의한 영향을 미쳤으며, 독서시간은 정서적 몰입도에도 유의한 영향을 미치고 있었다. 이용자 독서모임 참여 기간은 사회적 인식 만족도, 지속적 몰입도, 규범적 몰입도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 직무자체 만족도는 독서시간과 정서적 몰입도 간에 완전매개효과를 가지고 있었고, 사회적 인식 만족도는 이용자 독서모임 참여기간과 지속적 몰입도 및 규범적 몰입도 간에 완전매개효과를 가졌다. 이러한 결과에 따라 본 연구는 공공도서관의 독서경영 도입을 통한 직원 독서환경 조성을 위한 방안을 다음과 같이 제시하였다. 첫째, 공공도서관 운영진의 독서경영에 대한 적극적인 관심이 필요하며, 직원들의 독서활동을 위한 다양한 프로그램을 제공해야 한다. 둘째, 공공도서관은 직원들의 이용자 독서모임에 참여를 도모하고, 담당 직원은 지속적으로 참여할 수 있도록 지원해야 한다. 셋째, 공공도서관 직원들의 적극적인 독서활동을 위한 기관 차원의 지속적인 동기부여가 필요하다.

화장의 사회.심리적 기대효과에 따른 화장이미지와 자의식에 관한 연구 (A Study on Makeup Image and Self-Consciousness According to the Level of Expected Socio-Psychological Effect of Makeup)

  • This study was made to investigate the differences in Korean woman's perceived makeup image and self-consciousness according to their expectation level in socio-psychological effect of makeup, and to gather information needed for the better understanding of cosmetics consumers and more effective marketing activities of cosmetics industries. Normative-descriptive survey method using questionnaire was employed for the present study. The survey was conducted in August 2001 and the sample consisted of 942 women between the ages of 18 and 50 residing in Seoul and Kyungi province. Data were analyzed by SPSS package. Factor analysis, ANOVA, and MANOVA were employed for the analysis of the data. The results are as follows : (1) Six factors emerged from the data related to the category of expected socio-psychological effect of makeup. Those factors were named as "increasing positiveness", "refreshment", "covering weakness", "self-expression", "consideration for others", and "the tool for self-change". Four factors were found in the category of makeup image, and the factors were named as "refinement", "nobility", "favorable impression ", and "personality ". (2) There was a tendency that those who highly expect the socio-psychological effect of makeup have more positive self-image. Considering this differences in self-image according to the level of expected socio-psychological effect of makeup. service activities for the consumers' positive opinion and attitude to the effect of makeup are needed, and it seems that those service activities will have a good influence on the consumers' emotional health. (3) Subjects with higher level of social anxiety showed higher expectations in refreshment, covering weakness and self-expression. Considering this trend, marketers have to make an constant effort for the variety of cosmetics and makeup manner by which consumers satisfy their expectation in makeup. It seems that the satisfaction of their expectation on the help of makeup effect will contribute to lessen social anxiety, and to get emotional stability. (4) Subjects with higher personal self-anxiety showed higher expectations of the effect. "increase of positiveness". 기혼 여성의 구매충동 제어전략 사용과 관련변인 연구 (The Self-Control Strategies of Married Women to Restrain their Buying Impulse)

  • It is very important for consumers to control their buying impulse the modem market environments because of the enormous marketing pressure to induce consumers to buy. In this context, we investigated (i) the relevant factors to construct the strategies for restraining buying impulse, (ii) the frequency with which the strategies are used, and (iii) the variables related to the strategies. Data were gathered through an internet survey(azoomma.com) and total 626 cases were analysed. Self-control strategies prior to the buying impulse comprise four categories: restricting the means of payment and transportation, avoiding shopping stimulus, no-wandering around a shop, and planning a purchase. Self-control strategies after the buying impulse comprise five categories: normative assesment of impulse buying, reconsidering economic condition, postponing purchasing decision, distrusting marketing activities, and partially satisfying buying impulse. Most of married women use these strategies very often, and some psychological variables are more related with them than demographic variables. Based on findings some implications for consumer education are also discussed.

한국 20·30대 여성의 직장 복식규범과 갈등 -직장의 유형에 따른 현황조사를 중심으로- (Clothing Norms & Conflict of 20·30s Women in Work Place -Focus on Types of Work Places-)

  • This study examined the fashion culture of 20-30s working women through clothing norm relationships in the workplace. A literature research was conducted along with qualitative research, in-depth interviews in order to understand the domestic working environment and fashion culture such as lifestyle and consumer culture characteristics of 20-30s working women. The results were: First, it showed that the increased number of members having various inclinations caused subcultures through an increase of women's economic activities and transition to a knowledge-information society in domestic work places that changed into a business casual that recognized employees' autonomy and diversity. Second, in the working place, clothing norms coexist as stipulated by statutes, company rules, and official documents as well as others implied by experiences of sanction against members. Workplace closing norms are classified into norms of exposure that draw attention to clothes and casual clothes. Third, it showed that factors pressuring clothing norms are classified as external pressures and by spontaneous self-censorship that cause conflict and confusion with working women's fashion according to the degree of pressure. Two kinds of pressure by others (or types of departments and members) were observed.

The fundamental frequency (f0) distribution of American speakers in a spontaneous speech corpus

  • The fundamental frequency (f0), representing an acoustic measure of vocal fold vibration, serves as an indicator of the speaker's emotional state and language-specific pattern in daily conversations. This study aimed to examine the f0 distribution in an English corpus of spontaneous speech, establishing normative data for American speakers. The corpus involved 40 participants engaging in free discussions on daily activities and personal viewpoints. Using Praat, f0 values were collected filtering outliers after removing nonspeech sounds and interviewer voices. Statistical analyses were performed with R. Results indicated a median f0 value of 145 Hz for all the speakers. The f0 values for all speakers exhibited a right-skewed, pointy distribution within a frequency range of 216 Hz from 75 Hz to 339 Hz. The female f0 range was wider than that of males, with a median of 113 Hz for males and 181 Hz for females. This spontaneous speech corpus provides valuable insights for linguists into f0 variation among individuals or groups in a language. Further research is encouraged to develop analytical and statistical measures for establishing reliable f0 standards for the general population.

코로나19 대응에서 발신자 특성과 재난 메세지가 구성원의 반응행동에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구: 공중관계성의 매개효과를 중심으로 (A Study on the Influence of Sender Characteristics and Disaster Messages on Members' Response Behavior in Response to COVID-19: Focusing on the Mediating Effect of Public Relations)

  • 연구목적: 재난 발생 시 효과적인 위기커뮤니케이션을 위해 평상시 어떤 활동들이 기업에 요구되는지를 탐색하여 정책적 방안을 제시한다. 연구방법: L기업에 재직 중인 종사자를 대상으로 회사의 코로나 19 대응 과정에서 느낀 재난 대응부서, 재난 메시지와 평상시 회사에 대한 인식 및 종사자의 반응행동 정도에 대해 설문하였다. 연구결과: 첫째, 발신자 특성은 구성원의 행동 변화에 유의미한 영향을 나타내지 않았다. 둘째, 기업 내부의 재난 대응 메시지는 구성원의 규범적 행동에는 영향이 없는 반면, 재량적 행동에는 정적 영향을 나타냈다. 셋째, 발신자 특성과 재난 대응 메시지는 공중관계성에 정적 영향을 나타냈으며, 공중관계성은 발신자 특성과 구성원의 재량적 행동을 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 결론: 평상시 기업 내부의 재난 컨트롤타워에서는 재난 대응 메시지에 대한 연구가 요구되며, 공중관계성 강화를 위한 구성원 친화적인 기업문화 구축을 위한 활동이 필요하다.

백서에서 삼차신경 유발전위의 특성과 경로 분석 (Characteristics of Trigeminal Evoked Potential and It's Pathway in the Rat)

  • Objective : There are some advantages of trigeminal evoked potential(TEP) recording compared to other somatosensory evoked potential(SSEP) recordings. The trigeminal sensory pathway has a pure sensory nerve branch, a broader receptive field in cerebral cortex, and a shorter pathway. Despite these advantages, there is little agreement as to what constitutes a normal response and what wave forms truly characterize the intraoperative TEP. This study presents the normative data of TEP recorded on the epidural surface of the rat with a platinum ball electrode. Materials & Methods : Under general anesthesia with urethane, the adult Sprague-Dawley male rats(300-350g) were given electrical stimulation with two stainless steel electrodes which were inserted into the subcutaneous layer of the area around whiskers. A reference electrode was positioned in the temporalis muscle ipsilateral to the recording site. Results : TEPs were recorded in the Par I area of somatosensory cortex and recorded most apparently on the point of 2mm posterior from the bregma and 6mm lateral from the midline. The typical wave form consisted of 5 peaks (N1-P1-N2-P2-N3 according to emerging order, upward negativity). Each latency to corresponding peaks was not influenced by the different intensities of stimulation, especially from 1 to 5mA. Average latencies of 5 peaks were in the following order ; 7.7, 11.1, 15, 22.3, 29.4ms. There was also no significant difference between latencies before and after administration of muscle relaxant(pancuronium). For the electrophysiological localization of recorded waves, the action potential of a single unit was recorded with glass microelectrode(filled with 2M NaCl, $3-5M{\Omega}$) in the thalamus of rat. A sharp wave was recorded in the VPM nucleus, in which the latency was shorter than that of N1. This suggests that all 5 peaks were generated by neural activities in the suprathalamic pathway. Conclusion : In terms of recording near-field potentials, our data also suggests that TEP in the rat may be superior to other SSEPs. In overall, these results may afford normative data for the studies of supratentorial lesions such as hydrocephalus or cerebral ischemia which can have an influence on near-field potentials.

유전자와 생명의 사유화, 그리고 반공유재의 비극: 미국의 BRCA 인간유전자 특허 논쟁 (The Anticommons: BRCA Gene Patenting Controversy in the United States)

  • 이 글은 BRCA1과 BRCA2 두 인간유전자에 관련된 특허들에 대한 최근의 소송에서 제기된 인간유전자 특허의 여러 경제적, 법률적, 그리고 윤리적 쟁점들을 분석한다. 기존의 인간유전자 특허관련 연구들이 이의 법률적 논리와 윤리적 정당성에 대한 규범적인(normative) 분석에 초점을 두었다면, 이 글은 BRCA 관련 특허소송에의 기저에는 반공유재의 비극(the tragedy of the anticommons)이라 불리는 지적재산권과 경제혁신, 공공의 이익의 관계에 대한 새로운 이해가 존재하고 있음을 보일 것이다. 첫 부분에서는 2001년 미 특허청의 인간유전자 특허에 대한 정책의 형성과정에 대한 역사적인 분석을, 다음으로는 생명과학에서 지적재산권의 확대를 가져온 여러 경제적 가정들과 제도적 변화, 그리고 법적 판결들에 대한 비판적 논의를 소개할 것이다. 지적재산권의 한계와 생명의 사유화에 대한 비판을 통해서 BRCA 소송은 지적재산권의 정의와 그 범주, 그리고 이의 소유권을 둘러싼 논쟁이 공공의 이익, 과학과 의학 공동체의 창조적 지적활동과 환자들의 인권과 윤리의 문제가 복잡다단하게 얽혀있음을 보여주고 있다.
