다공판 시스템의 접선입사 흡음성능에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Grazing Incidence Sound Absorption of a Perforated Panel System)

  • This paper introduces an experimental study on the grazing incidence sound absorptions for duct silencers filed with a glass wool and consisted of a perforated panel. The experimental results are discussed in comparison with the normal incidence sound absorption. And also the transmission loss for duct silencers are measured and compared with the sound absorption performances. From the experimental results, it is shown that the resonance frequency bandwidth on the transmission loss and sound absorption coefficient for duct silencers has a good agreement.

음장제어용 막재료의 음향 및 단열특성 (Sound Absorption and Thermal Insulation Characteristics of Membrane Used for Sound Field Control)

  • Nowadays membrane material is widely used for large indoor spaces and long spaces such as traditional market. Thermal insulation and sound field control performance is considered as a main properties for design of such buildings. In this paper sound absorption and thermal insulation properties of membrane material was investigated. Firstly, normal incidence sound absorption coefficient of 10 kinds of glass wool textiles showed that sound absorption coefficient was increased in proportion of thickness and surface density of textile. Sound absorption coefficient of 4 kinds of sound absorptive inner membrane with outer membrane was tested in the reverberation chamber. Sound absorption coefficient of mid frequency range was about 0.4 ~ 0.6. Also, sound absorption coefficient was changed by the air space behind the membrane material. Secondly, sound field control performance was investigated using mock-up space. By the installation of sound absorption membrane material, reverberation time was decreased and speech intelligibility was increased. Finally, thermal resistance and room temperature in two kinds of mock-up rooms were tested, simultaneously. Results of thermal properties showed thermal insulation properties ware increased by adding inner membrane material underneath the outer membrane.

  • 다양한 공연장 및 대공간에서의 실내음향 제어를 위해서는 실내마감재료의 흡음 및 확산성능을 제어할 수 있는 재료가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 이를 위해 알루미늄 새시를 이용한 흡음구조를 개발하였으며, 흡음특성을 조사하기 위하여 수직입사 흡음계수와 잔향실법 흡음계수를 측정하였다. 수직입사 흡음계수 측정결과 알루미늄 다목적 흡음재의 타공구조와 인서트에 의해 형성되는 공간이 공명형 흡음기의 역할을 하여 중.저주파수 대역의 흡음계수가 증가되는 것으로 나타났다. 잔향실법 흡음계수 측정결과 알루미늄 새시를 이용한 흡음구조의 형성에 따라 공명주파수 대역보다 낮은 중저주파수 대역의 흡음계수가 증가되는 것으로 나타났다. 공기층 증가에 따라 공명주파수 이상 대역에서의 흡음률은 증가되고 주파수 대역별 흡음계수 편차도 감소되는 것으로 나타났으며, 고주파수 대역의 흡음률 향상을 위한 방안이 필요한 것으로 나타났다.

  • Many of research on noise reduction techniques have been progressed for the improvement of noise environment in subway train. There are many way to noise reduction techniques in the tunnel, but it has been reported as an alternative to attach sound absorption material on tunnel wall. For this reason sound absorption material has been studied for application of tunnel. The objective of this study is to investigate design parameters on a Helmholtz resonator with built-in sound absorption panel for the reduction of the tunnel noise in the subway. Sound absorption panel composed of the perforated panel with sub-millimeter holes and the airspace backed a rigid wall or between panels. The experiment is performed through the change of number of perforated panel, cross sectional area and the depth of airspace of the sound absorption panel under the normal incidence sound.

강체흡음재의 수직입사 흡음특성 (Normal Incidence Sound Absorption Characteristics of Steel Absorber)

  • 유리섬유 및 폴리에스테르와 같은 섬유질 흡음재의 단점을 보완하기 위하여 다공성 알루미늄과 같은 강체 흡음재가 개발되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 스테인리스 스틸을 이용한 다공성 강체에 대하여 수직입사 흡음성능을 조사하였다. 밀도, 두께, 세부 프로파일 등에 따른 성능비교를 위하여 서로 다른 9개의 시험편의 성능을 측정하였다. 측정결과 밀도가 낮고 두께가 두꺼운 다공성 강체의 흡음성능이 다소 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 두께의 증가에 따라 중저주파수 대역의 흡음특성이 증가되었다. 배후 공기층이 형성되는 경우 중 저주파수 대역의 흡음성능이 매우 향상되는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 접착제가 사용된 실험편에 배후공기층이 형성되는 경우 전주파수 대역에서 매우 평탄한 수직입사 흡음특성을 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 향후 스테인리스 스틸 다공성 강체가 방음시설물, 흡음.확산용 내장재 등으로 사용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

저주파수 흡음을 위한 헬름홀쯔 공명기 배열형 패널 (A Helmholtz Resonator Array Panel for Low Frequency Sound Absorption)

  • Sound absorptive materials have good performance in high frequency range, not at low frequencies. Therefore it has been great challenge to develop a sound absorbing structure that is good at low frequency. We propose to use a Helmholtz resonator array panel for this purpose. A Helmholtz resonator is one of noise control elements widely used in many practical applications. The resonator is a simple structure composed of a rigid-walled cavity with a neck, but it has very high performance at resonance frequency. This paper discusses the sound absorption of Helmholtz resonator array panels at normal and random incidence. First, various experimental results are introduced and studied. Secondly, we theoretically predict the absorptive characteristics of the resonator away panel. The theoretical approach is based on the Fourier analysis for a periodic absorber. We believe that this method can be used to design a panel for low frequency noise control.

  • This paper introduces an experimental study for the noise characteristics and reduction of a ventilating fan system. For the purpose of noise reduction of it, an absorptive duct silencer filled with a glass fiber has been conventionally utilized. However, a glass fiber has some disadvantages like hygiene and secondary pollution problems. In order to overcome these problems, in this paper, a perforated duct silencer has been applied to the ventilating fan system. For the designing of a perforated duct silencer, the transmission losses for various perforated panel systems are measured and compared with their sound absorption performances.

  • The acoustical performance of porous materials is determined by their seven or more macroscopic physical properties. However, it is not easy to measure all these properties in many cases. Furthermore, the measurement is compels engineers to spend much times. The effect of each property on the normal incidence absorption coefficient and normalized surface impedance was studied to estimate the properties of porous materials by numerical method. According to the investigation, Properties of porous materials are divided into several groups and estimated by each group. This paper is focused on the estimation procedure of porous materials by the numerical method.
