Transient receptor potential melastain 7 (TRPM7) is a bifunctional protein with dual structure of both ion channel and protein kinase, participating in a wide variety of diseases including cancer. Recent researches have reported the mechanism of TRPM7 in human cancers. However, the correlation between TRPM7 and prostate cancer (PCa) has not been well studied. The objective of this study was to investigate the potential the role of TRPM7 in the apoptosis of PC-3 cells, which is the key cell of advanced metastatic PCa. In this study, we demonstrated the influence and potential function of TRPM7 on the PC-3 cells apoptosis induced by TNF-related apoptosis inducing-ligand (TRAIL). The study also found a novel up-regulated expression of TRPM7 in PC-3 cells after treating with TRAIL. Suppression of TRPM7 by TRPM7 non-specific inhibitors ($Gd^{3+}$ or 2-aminoethoxy diphenylborate (2-APB) ) not only markedly eliminated TRPM7 expression level, but also increased the apoptosis of TRAIL-treated PC-3 cells, which may be regulated by the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase/protein kinase B (PI3K/AKT) signaling pathway accompany with up-regulated expression of cleaved Caspase-3, (TRAIL-receptor 1, death receptors 4) DR4, and (TRAIL-receptor 2, death receptors 5) DR5. Taken together, our findings strongly suggested that TRPM7 was involved in the apoptosis of PC-3 cells induced by TRAIL, indicating that TRPM7 may be applied as a therapeutic target for PCa.
English contract law has traditionally taken the view that it is not the duty of the parties to a contract to give information voluntarily to each other. In English law, one of the principal distinctions between insurance contract law and general contract law is the existence of the doctrine of utmost good faith in insurance law. The doctrine gives rise to a variety of duties, some of which apply before formation of the contract while others apply post-formation. This article is, therefore, designed to analyse the overall structure and problems of the doctrine of utmost good faith in English marine insurance law. The results of analysis are as following : First, the requirement of utmost good faith in marine insurance law arises from the fact that many of the relevant circumstances are within the exclusive knowledge of the assured and it is impossible for the insurer to obtain the facts to make a appropriate calculation of the risk that he is asked to assume without this information. Secondly, the duty of utmost good faith provided in MIA 1906, s. 17 has the nature as a bilateral or reciprocal, overriding and absolute duty. Thirdly, the Court of Appeal in Skandia held that breach of the pre-formation duty of utmost good faith did not sound in damages since the duty did not arise out of an implied contractual term and the breach did not constitute a tort. Instead, the Court of Appeal held that the duty was an extra-contractual duty imposed by law in the form of a contingent condition precedent to the enforceability of the contract. Fourthly, the scope of the duty of utmost good faith is closely related to the test of materiality and the assured is required to disclose only material circumstances subject to MIA 1906, s. 18(1) and 20(1). The test of materiality, which had caused a great deal of debate in English courts over 30 years, was finally settled by the House of Lords in Pan Atlantic and the House of Lords rejected the 'decisive influence' test and the 'increased risk' test, and the decision of the House of Lords is thought to accept the 'mere influence' test in subsequent case by the Court of Appeal. Fifthly, the insurer is, in order to avoid contract, required to provide proof that he is induced to enter into the contract by reason of the non-disclosure or misrepresentation of the assured. Sixthly, the duty of utmost good faith is, in principle, terminated before contract is concluded, but it is undoubtful that the provision under MIA 1906, s. 17 is wide enough to include the post-formation duty. The post-formation duty is, however, based upon the terms of marine insurance contract, and the duty lies entirely outside s. 17. Finally, MIA 1906, s. 17 provides expressly for the remedy of avoidance of the contract for breach of the duty. This means rescission or retrospective avoidance of the entire contract, and the remedy is based upon a fairly crude 'all-or-nothing' approach. What is needed in English marine insurance law is to introduce a more sophiscated or proportionate remedy.
Recently, the NG(Next Generation) system is studied for supporting convergence of various services and multi mode of single terminal. And a demand of user for taking the various services is getting increased, for supporting these services, many systems being able to transmit a large message have been appeared. In the NG system, it has to be supporting the CDMA and WCDMA besides the tele communication systems using OFDM method with single terminal An intergrated system can be improved with adopting of SoC technique. For adopting SoC technique on the intergrated terminal, we have to solve the non linear problem of HPA(High Power Amplifier). Nonlinear characteristic of HPA distorts both amplitude and phase of transmit signal, this distortion cause deep adjacent channel interference. We adopt a polynomial pre-distortion technique for this problem. In this paper, a noble modem design for NG mobile communication service and a method using polynomial pre-distorter with PAPR technique for counterbalancing nonlinear characteristic of the HPA are proposed.

Objective : A thorough understanding of the related venous structure is mandatory for successful removal of the petroclival meningiomas. This study was planned to investigate the guideline for safe ligation and incision of transverse or sigmoid sinuses and the importance of drainage pattern of vein of $Labb{\acute{e}}$ in surgical removal of petroclival meningiomas. Patients and Methods : The authors reviewed the venogram of the consecutive 37 cases of petroclival meningiomas and retrospectively analyzed their surgical findings. The drainage pattern of confluence of Herophili was classified as Type A(confluent & equal on both sides), Type B(confluent & non-dominant on tumor side), Type C(confluent & dominant on tumor side) and Type D(unilateral drainage only) as these findings gave the information on safe ligation and resection of the sinus. Usefulness of intraoperative test clamping of sinus for safe ligation was also reviewed. The vein of $Labb{\acute{e}}$ was analyzed with respect to its draining point and its collaterals to other superficial veins. Results : Contraindications of the sinus ligation and resection according to the drainage pattern at the confluence of Herophili were Type C(n=10, 27%)and Type D(n=4, 11%). Patients with Type A(n=12, 32%)and Type B(n=11, 30%) were tolerable to sinus ligation ipsilateral to tumor, if the test clamping proved to be safe. Identification of no brain swelling, after intraoperative test clamping of the sinus for more than 30 minutes performed in 7 out of 11 cases, was a reliable indicator of safe sinus ligation. The drainage pattern of the vein of $Labb{\acute{e}}$, especially low-lying type, could predict the possibility of postoperative hemorrhage and infarction. Its drainage into tentorium or superior petrosal sinus, however, made the transtentorial approach impossible, leading to restricted operative field. Conclusion : For a successful removal of the petroclival meningiomas preoperative venogram should be examined carefully. The extent of exposure in a planned approach can be estimated by analyzing the variation of sinuses and the drainage pattern of vein of $Labb{\acute{e}}$.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the conceptional structure of residents' perception among tourism development impacts (economic benefits, social and environmental impact), community attachment and attitudes towards the effects of Baekdudaegan tourism development. This paper was adopted LISREL (linear structural relationships) approach, covariance structural equation model, to provided some insights on tourism development. Data of 356 were collected from Youngu and Mungyeong cities surrounding Baekdudaegan in Gyeongsangbuk-do. The results indicate that perceived economic benefits are rather greater impacts on attitudes than perceived social and environmental ones directly and indirectly. Also, perceived social impacts influence community attachment, however, perceived economic benefits and environmental impacts do not influence community attachment directly. Finally results reveal that the attitudes for supporting tourism development were found positively influenced by the identity of community attachment. Differently social exchange theory, the results suggested that residents' attitudes towards Baekdudaegan tourism development perceived positive strongly even a non related tourism resident.
In the recent years, thin film solar cells (TFSCs) have emerged as a viable replacement for crystalline silicon solar cells and offer a variety of choices, particularly in terms of synthesis processes and substrates (rigid or flexible, metal or insulator). Among the thin-film absorber materials, SnS has great potential for the manufacturing of low-cost TFSCs due to its suitable optical and electrical properties, non-toxic nature, and earth abundancy. However, the efficiency of SnS-based solar cells is found to be in the range of 1 ~ 4 % and remains far below those of CdTe-, CIGS-, and CZTSSe-based TFSCs. Aside from the improvement in the physical properties of absorber layer, enormous efforts have been focused on the development of suitable buffer layer for SnS-based solar cells. Herein, we investigate the device performance of SnS-based TFSCs by introducing double buffer layers, in which CdS is applied as first buffer layer and ZnMgO films is employed as second buffer layer. The effect of the composition ratio (Mg/(Mg+Zn)) of RF sputtered ZnMgO films on the device performance is studied. The structural and optical properties of ZnMgO films with various Mg/(Mg+Zn) ratios are also analyzed systemically. The fabricated SnS-based TFSCs with device structure of SLG/Mo/SnS/CdS/ZnMgO/AZO/Al exhibit a highest cell efficiency of 1.84 % along with open-circuit voltage of 0.302 V, short-circuit current density of 13.55 mA cm-2, and fill factor of 0.45 with an optimum Mg/(Mg + Zn) ratio of 0.02.
Polyquinonediimines (PQDI) which have stable structure on heat and contains mono-azobenzene in the side chain were synthesized by means of condensation polymerization under TiCl$_4$. The synthesized monomers and polymers were identified by FT-IR, $^1$H-NMR, and elementary analysis. Especially, PQDI was comfirmed by the double-bonding peak of >C=N appeared near 1625 $cm^{-1}$ / by means of FT-IR spectrum. PQDI containing mono-azobenzene group in both side chains wat not soluble in non-polar solvents at all but partially soluble in the polar solvents having small dielectric constant, and dissolved in the strong acid such as sulfuric acid and $CH_3$SO$_3$H. Molecular weight distribution of PQDI measured by GPC showed 1.74. It was confirmed through X-ray diffraction analysis that the polymer was partially crystalline at the low angle region, but amorphous after heat treatment at 1$25^{\circ}C$. The glass transition temperature (T$_{g}$ ) of synthesized polymer was measured as 1$25^{\circ}C$ by differential scanning calorimetry. The SHG value for $\chi$$^{(2)}$ after poling at 1$25^{\circ}C$ was 8.6 pm/V (λ=1.542 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$). The SHG value slowly decreased with time from the start but appeared temporal stability after 100 hours.
It is known that the natural amethyst is changed to citrine after heat treatment. However, when all amethyst samples from Zambia were heat-treated in the temperature range of $350{\sim}380^{\circ}C$ for 1 hour, the result was that five out of eight samples were changed to citrine and all the rest of samples became rock crystal quartz. These differences in the color appearance seem to be influenced by the original colors contained in the amethyst before the heat treatment. The amethyst containing yellow color changed to citrine and the amethyst without containing yellow color changed to rock crystal quartz after the heat treatment. The results compared after the instrumental analysis on the difference of color change, it showed the differences of peak intensity in 3,400 $cm^{-1}$ and the existence and non-existence of peak at the range of 5,200${\sim}$5,400 $cm^{-1}$ in FTIR. It revealed the difference in the quantity of Cr which is a trace element in the WD-XRF analysis. The identical result in the FTIR spectra before and after the heat treatment reveals that the heat treatment did not cause any change in the main composing elements or crystal structure.
Restorative procedures can lead to weakening tooth due to reduction and alteraton of tooth structure. It is essential to prevent fractures to conserve tooth. Among the several parameters in cavity designs, cavity isthmus and depth are very important. In this study, MO amalgam cavity was prepared on maxillary first premolar. Three dimensional. finite element models were made by serial photographic method and cavity depth(1.7mm, 2.4mm) and isthmus (11 4, 1/3, 1/2 of intercuspal distance) were varied. linear, eight and six-nodal, isoparametric brick elements were used for the three dimensional finite element model. The periodontal ligament and alveolar bone surrounding the tooth were excluded in these models. Three types model(B, G and R model) were developed. B model was assumed perfect bonding between the restoration and cavity wall. Both compressive and tensile forces were distributed directly to the adjacent regions. G model(Gap Distance: 0.000001mm) was assumed the possibility of play at the interface simulated the lack of real bonding between the amalgam and cavity wall (enamel and dentin). When compression occurred along the interface, the forces were transferred to the adjacent regions. However, tensile forces perpendicular to the interface were excluded. R model was assumed non-connection between the restoration and cavity wall. No force was transferred to the adjacent regions. A load of 500N was applied vertically at the first node from the lingual slope of the buccal cusp tip. This study analysed the displacement, von Mises stress, 1 and 2 direction normal stress and strain with FEM software ABAQUS Version 5.2 and hardware IRIS 4D/310 VGX Work-station. The results were as follows: 1. G model showed stress and strain patterns between Band R model. 2. B model and G model showed the bending phenomenon in the displacement. 3. R model showed the greatest amount of the displacement of the buccal cusp followed by G and B model in descending order. G model showed the greatest amount of the displacement of the lingual cusp followed by B and R model in descending order. 4. B model showed no change of the displacement as increasing depth and width of the cavity. G and R model showed greater displacement of the buccal cusp as increasing depth and width of the cavity, but no change in the displacement of the lingual cusp. 5. As increasing of the width of the cavity, stress and strain were not changed in B model. Stress and strain were increased on the distal marginal ridge and buccopulpal line angle in G and R model. The possibility of the tooth fracture was increased. 6. As increasing of the depth of the cavity, stress and strain were not changed in B and G model. Stress and strain were increased on the distal marginal ridge and buccopulpal line angle in R model. The possibility of the tooth fracture was increased.

Next generation memory technologies, which we denote as 'new memory', have both non-volatile and byte addressable properties. These characteristics are expected to bring changes to the conventional computer system structure. In this paper, we propose a fast boot technique for hybrid main memory architectures that have both new memory and DRAM. The key technique used for fast booting is write-tracking. Write-tracking is used to detect and manage modified data detection and involves setting the kernel region to read-only. This setting is used to trigger intentional faults upon modification requests. As the fault handler can detect the faulting address, write-tracking makes use of the address to manage the modified data. In particular, in our case, we make use of the MMU (Memory Management Unit) translation table. When a write occurs to the boot completed state, write-tracking preserves the original state of the modified address of the kernel region to a particular location, and execution continues. Upon booting, the fast booting process restores the preserved data to the original kernel region allowing rapid system boot-up. We develop the fast booting technique in an actual embedded board equipped with new memory. The boot time is reduced to less than half a second compared to around 15 seconds that is required for the original system.
