변화 주목 기반 차량 흠집 탐지 시스템 (Change Attention-based Vehicle Scratch Detection System)

  • 본 논문에서는 카셰어링 서비스(car sharing service)에서 차량 상태 무인 검수를 위한 흠집 탐지 딥 러닝 모델을 제안한다. 기존의 차량 상태 검수 시스템은 대여 전, 후 사진에서 각각 흠집을 탐지하는 딥 러닝 모델과 탐지된 두 흠집 영상을 수작업으로 대조하여 새롭게 발생한 흠집을 탐색하는 두 단계로 구성되어 있다. 따라서 수동작업이 필요한 두 단계 모델을 한 단계로 줄이는 무인 흠집 탐지 모델을 위성영상에서 변화를 탐지하는 딥 러닝 모델에 전이 학습을 적용하여 구축한다. 그리고 광택 처리된 자동차 표면의 휘도가 비등방성이고 비전문가인 이용자가 일반 카메라로 촬영하기 때문에 정반사(specular reflection)가 흠집 탐지 성능에 크게 영향을 미친다. 따라서 정반사광으로 발생하는 오탐지를 감소시키기 위하여 정반사광 성분을 제거하는 전처리 과정을 적용한다. 이용자가 휴대폰 카메라로 촬영한 데이터에 대해 제안하는 시스템은 주관적인 측면과 정밀도(precision), 재현율(recall), F1, Kappa 척도면에서 각각 67.90%, 74.56%, 71.08%, 70.18%로서 높은 일치도를 보인다.

실감 서비스 제공을 위한 융합 미디어 미들웨어 (FMM: Fusion media middleware for actual feeling service)

  • Web2.0 시대가 도래함에 따라 웹 상에는 사용자에 의해 제작된 미디어간의 상호교환이 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 뿐만 아니라 콘텐츠 공유 사이트의 비약적인 성장을 바탕으로 미디어 콘텐츠 공유의 장이 활성화되었고, 이러한 환경 속에 비전문가에 의해 제작된 콘텐츠의 수가 증가하였다. 비전문가에 의해 제작된 콘텐츠는 촬영된 그대로의 영상만을 담고 있는 단순미디어에 그치기 때문에 단순미디어에 효과와 액션과 같은 실감을 부여하기 위한 방안으로 융합 미디어 미들웨어를 제안하며 이를 통해 제작자와 사용자의 만족감을 증대시킬 수 있으며, 영상은 한층 더 인상적인 콘텐츠로 발전할 수 있다. 실감 서비스를 제공하기 위한 융합 미디어 미들웨어는 MPEG-7을 기반으로 입력 받은 영상을 씬(scene) 단위로 분류하며, 세분화된 영상 사이에 이미지, 텍스트, 사운드 등과 같은 효과를 삽입함으로써 기존의 단순미디어를 실감효과가 부여한다. 입력영상과 실감효과를 연계시키기 위하여 MPEG-21에서 제공하는 BSD 코드를 이용하며 이를 통해 미디어간의 동기화(intra synchronization)를 제어한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 융합 미디어 미들웨어를 통하여 비전문가에 의한 콘텐츠는 다중미디어로서의 가치를 지니게 되며, 새로운 유통의 흐름을 창출할 수 있는 효과를 얻을 수 있다.

다목적 최적화를 위한 Goal-Pareto 기반의 NSGA-II 알고리즘 (Goal-Pareto based NSGA-II Algorithm for Multiobjective Optimization)

  • NSGA (Non-dominated Sorting Algorithm) 는 다목적 최적화 분야에서 널리 사용되고 있는 비지배 정렬 기반의 유전자 알고리즘으로 최적화를 요구하는 분야에서 널리 사용되고 있다. 하지만 연산의 복잡도, 사전 우수해 선별 조건의 미흡함과 공유 변수값 결정의 어려움등이 문제로 제기 되었고, 이러한 단점을 보완한 NSGA-II(Non-dominated Sorting Algorithm-B) 알고리즘이 제안되었다. 그러나 기존의 NSGA-II알고리즘은 다목적 최적화 알고리즘과 동일하게 목적치를 최대화 또는 최소화시키는 방향으로 최적화가 진행되어 선택적인 최적화 수행이 어렵다. 이러한 문제점을 보완하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 NSGA-II알고리즘이 가지는 장점을 바탕으로 설계자의 요구조건에 종속적으로 최적화 과정을 수행할 수 있는 GBNSGA-II (Goal-pareto Based NSGA-II)를 제안하고 기존의 NSGA-II알고리즘과 비교를 통해 성능의 우수성을 검증하였다.

제로 웨이스트 패션 디자인 실현을 위한 디자인 방법론 - ZWPM 유형 특성을 중심으로 - (Design methodology for the realization of zero-waste fashion design - Focused on the typology of ZWPM -)

  • Zero-waste is sustainable development for ensuring continuous interactions with the environment as well as for the next generations, while expanding across industries. Zero-waste fashion design does not necessarily mean that we should stop making clothes in order to reduce waste, but we consider the social values of sustainability regarding the environment, humans, and profit. In particular, in the pre-use stage of zero-waste fashion design, fashion designers play critical roles. The purpose of this study is to develop a methodology for the realization of zero-waste fashion design through establishing the typology of zero-waste pattern making (ZWPM) as well as exploring the practical implications of zero-waste fashion design. For the realization of zero-waste fashion design that draws from pattern-making principals, this study categorizes zero-waste fashion design into zero-waste pattern cutting (ZWPC) and non-pattern cutting (NPC). ZWPC is based on drafting patterns on a piece of fabric, which can enable the sharing of patterns and processes, while NPC requires little- or non-cutting/sewing in optimizing a piece of fabric, bringing the possibility of creating indefinite forms. ZWPC is sub-categorized into tailored and non-tailored, and NCP into draped and folded. Then, by implementing the typology in undergraduate design programs, this study tests and completes the design methodology for the realization of zero-waste fashion design.

스펙트럼 핸드오프 호를 위해 버퍼를 활용하는 무선인지시스템의 얼랑 용량 (Erlang Capacity of Cognitive Radio Systems Utilizing Buffer for Spectrum Handoff Calls)

  • 본 논문은 무선인지시스템이 갖는 얼랑 용량을 분석하였다. 무선 인지 사용자들의 신규 호 및 스펙트럼 핸드오프를 요청하는 호들에 대해 버퍼를 사용하는 무선 자원 관리 기법을 고려하였으며, 성능 분석을 위해 마르코프(Markov) 모델을 사용하였다. 이를 기반으로 무선 인지 시스템에서 기사용자 및 무선 인지 사용자가 겪는 호 차단(call blocking) 확률, 강제 호 종료(forced call termination) 확률, 호 서비스 비완료(non-completion) 확률 등을 유도하였다. 시뮬레이션을 통해 버퍼의 크기가 증가함에 따라, 인지 무선 시스템에서 수용될 수 있는 얼랑 용량 또한 증가함을 보였다.

An Inherent Zero-Voltage and Zero-Current-Switching Full-Bridge Converter with No Additional Auxiliary Circuits

  • An inherent zero-voltage and zero-current-switching phase-shifted full-bridge converter with reverse-blocking insulated-gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) or non-punch-through IGBT is proposed in this paper. This converter not only ensures that the switches in the lagging leg works at zero-current switching, but also minimizes circulating conduction loss without any additional auxiliary circuits. A 1.2 kW hardware prototype is designed, fabricated, and tested to verify the proposed topology. The control loop design procedures with small-signal models are also presented. A simple, low-cost, and robust democratic current-sharing circuit is also introduced and verified in this study. The proposed converter is a suitable alternative for compact, cost-effective applications with high-voltage input.

  • The efficient and well organized database is essential for the management of information in every industrial field. In this study, a practical and effective database which can handle 3-D information of steel bridges is built on the basis of a STEP-based data model. The data model of steel bridge information is classified into geometric and non-geometric part and the design information is represented by linking geometric information and life cycle supported non-geometric information. Especially, the shape information is represented by boundary representation method, which is one of the representative methods of solid model information. In this study, ISO/STEP(STandard for the Exchange of product model data) AP203(configuration controlled design) EXPRESS schema is used to represent the shape information of steel bridge. The syntax of EXPRESS schema of developed data model is verified by NIST Expresso - is a tool for parsing and compiling EXPRESS schema. Also, this study verifies the conformance of the data model by applying to the real data of Hannam bridge. Therefore, the constructed database using STEP-based data model of steel bridges can be used effectively in the concurrent engineering point of view with transferring and sharing steel bridge information.

해상교통로(SLOC) 안보와 해적: 소말리아 해적퇴치작전 경험을 중심으로 (Sea Lines of Communication Security and Piracy)

  • This thesis analyzes Somali piracy as a non-traditional threat to the Sea Lines of Communication (SLOC) and international countermeasures to the piracy. In an era of globally interdependent economies, the protection of sea lines and freedom of navigation are prerequisites for the development of states. Since the post-Cold War began in the early 1990s, ocean piracy has emerged as a significant threat to international trade. For instance, in the Malacca Strait which carries 30 percent of the world's trade volume, losses from failed shipping, insurance, plus other subsequent damages were enormous. Until the mid-2000s, navies and coast guards from Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, together with the International Maritime Organization (IMO), conducted anti-piracy operations in the Strait of Malacca. The combined efforts of these three maritime states, through information sharing and with reinforced assets including warships and patrol aircrafts, have successfully made a dent to lower incidents of piracy. Likewise, the United Nations' authorization of multinational forces to operate in Somali waters has pushed interdiction efforts including patrol and escort flotilla support. This along with self-reinforced security measures has successfully helped lower piracy from 75 incidents in 2012 to 15 in 2013. As illustrated, Somali piracy is a direct security threat to the international community and the SLOC which calls for global peacekeeping as a countermeasure. Reconstructing the economy and society to support public safety and stability should be the priority solution. Emphasis should be placed on restoring public peace and jurisdiction for control of piracy as a primary countermeasure.

Influence of Removed Web Members in Shaping Formation for Hypar Space Truss

  • This paper discusses the behavior of post-tensioned and shaped hypar space truss, with consideration of the influence of removing some web members. Hypar space truss is post-tensioned at the bottom chords of one diagonal on the ground; the essential behavior characteristic of shape formation is discussed by using a small-scale test model. Results of experiments and nonlinear finite-element analysis indicate that a planar, rectangular- arranged structure can be deformed to a predicted hyper shape, by the proposed shape formation method. Also the feasibility of the proposed method for furnishing of a hypar shaped face truss has been presented, under the condition of both non-removed and partially removed web members. It follows that a nonlinear finite element analysis method can be used in predicting the behavior of the space shape and the post-tensioning force in sharing of hypar space truss. Further, in comparison to the other cases, the results of test and analysis show that the active diagonal shaping in the non-removed web members and passive diagonal shaping of partially removed web members are in relatively good agreement.

The Effects of a Death Preparation Education Program on Death Anxiety, Death Attitudes, and Attitudes toward End-of-Life Care among Nurses in Convalescent Hospitals

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of a death preparation education program for nurses working in convalescent hospitals on death anxiety, death attitudes, and attitudes toward end-of-life care. Methods: This was a quasi-experimental study with a non-equivalent control group, pre-test and post-test design. Among 53 participants, 26 were assigned to the non-equivalent experimental group and 27 to the control group. The program was performed in the formats of lectures, video-watching, group discussions, and sharing, and consisted of 10 sessions held twice a week, for 5 weeks (90 minutes per session). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, the t-test, and the chisquare test in SPSS version 21.0. Results: Significant differences between the experimental and control groups were observed in death anxiety (t=7.62, P<0.001), death attitudes (t=-7.58, P<0.001), and attitudes to end-of-life care (t=-10.30, P<0.001). Conclusion: It was confirmed that the death preparation education program reduced death anxiety and had a positive effect on death attitudes and attitudes toward end-of-life care. Based on the results of this study, it is expected that specialized and systematic education that can increase the implementation and stability of death preparation education in various fields, including nursing, will have a positive effect on both hospice patients and members of society more broadly.
