수도권 1인 가구 청년의 식생활 교육 및 지원 사업에 대한 요구도 조사 (Analysis of Needs for Dietary Education and Program among Korean Young Adults of Single-person Household in the Metropolitan Area)

  • This study aimed to investigate the need for dietary education and programs for young Koreans belonging to single-person households in the metropolitan area. A total of 500 young adults aged 19-34 participated in the study through an online survey. Participants responded to questions on general characteristics, dietary problems, and the need for dietary education and programs. The subjects were divided into three groups as follows: Undergraduate students, employed workers, and others. Among the subjects from single-person households, 20.2, 67, and 12.8% were undergraduate students, employed workers, and others, respectively. When asked for their estimation of an appropriate self-pay when participating in a cooking class, 39.8% of total subjects responded '5,000-10,000 won'. The most preferred program for young adults in single-person households was the 'support food package'. For the preferred method of dietary education, undergraduate students showed a greater preference for classes 'at campuses'. However, employed workers and others had a higher preference for 'non-face-to-face online classes'. Undergraduate students tended to generally have a higher preference for dietary education and support programs compared to employed workers and others. This study provides data that will be useful for establishing healthy dietary policies and education programs for young single-person households in Korea.

독신 가구의 주거계획 방향에 관한 연구 (A Study of Housing Design Guidelines for the Single Household)

  • This study was conducted to examine housing preferences among single-person households and to propose guidelines for housing design choices for single people. One hundred and sixty responses to the questionnaire developed by this researcher were analyzed utilizing frequencies, percentages, and t-tests. There were significant differences between single households and non-single households in various aspects of housing preferences. Differences were found in the desired type and size of housing, needed amount of space, and the importance of space itself. Single persons wanted to live in a small apartment, about 83.45$m^2$ (25.29 pyung) size. They consider the bathroom and the master bedroom more important than the living room and kitchen. They prefer to have specifically function-oriented rooms such as shower, home office, computer room, exercise room, or leisure space. Single persons consider information-technological facilities within an apartment very important. They would like to adopt automatic and electronic technology in the house, such as optical communication network, automatic air-cleaning system, and internet TV. Housing preferences differ significantly according to socio-demographic variables such as gender and age. I propose in this study a small-sized, information-, high-tech- and leisure-oriented design that corresponds with the actual housing preferences of the single-person households.

중년1인가구의 사회적 배제 잠재집단 유형과 영향요인 (A Study on the Social Exclusion Types of Middle-aged Single-person Households)

  • 본 연구는 1인가구내 집단별 이질성에 주목하여 중년층 1인가구의 사회적 배제가 어떠한 하위집단으로 유형화되는지를 잠재계층분석을 통해 파악하고 사회적 배제 유형에 작용하는 예측요인을 살펴봄으로써 사회적 배제를 극복할 수 있는 정책 방안을 마련하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 제14차 한국복재패널 자료를 활용하여 총 361명의 중년1인가구를 대상으로 잠재계층분석 및 다항로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 중년1인가구의 사회적 배제지표는 6차원 10개지표로 구성되어 측정되었다. 분석결과는 중년1인가구는 '비배제형'(29.6%), '건강제한형'(14.3%), '교류제한 및 중위험다중배제형'(12.0%), '소득·건강배제형'(14.1%), '고위험다중배제형'(30.0%) 등 5가지 유형으로 나타났다. 응답자의 70%이상이 사회적 배제를 경험하고 있고 대부분 배제유형이 다중배제 상태였다. 각 배제유형에 영향을 미치는 요인을 살펴본 결과 '주관적 건강수준'이 공통된 주요 예측요인이었고, 가족교류, 연령, 여가활동만족도 변인이 '고위험다중배제형'과 '교류제한 및 중위험다중배제형'의 유의한 예측요인으로 확인되었다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 중년1인가구의 사회적 배제 문제를 해결하기 위해서는 다차원적 개입전략이 필요하고 '건강'과 교류 강화를 위한 실천적 방안을 제안하였다.

자산의 단계적 사용에 따른 생활유지가능성과 조정가능 소비수준 : 초과지출을 하는 1인 은퇴노인가계를 대상으로 (Sustainability of Spending and Adjustable Level of Consumption According to a Step-by-step Use of Retirement Assets : Focused on Overspending Households of Single Retired Elderly)

  • This study performed an analysis to determine if an individual can maintain the current consumption, in the case of a single retired elderly person's household using the accumulated assets. Assets are divided into three types, based on the behavioral economics life cycle hypothesis : financial assets, real assets excepting residential assets, and residential assets, and it is assumed that these assets were used on a step-by-step basis. Also, if the assets were sufficient, the maximum withdrawal amount was calculated. The results of the analysis are as follows. First, the monetary assets were sufficient to cover the cost of living for 2.7 years, 6.4 years by using the real assets of the non-occupied housing, and 26.3 years in the case of residential property. Second, in the case of preferentially using the financial assets, 4.4% of the sample households were able to cover the cost of living. Households that were not able to cover the cost of living used the next-stage assets, real assets of the non-occupied housing. Households that were not able to cover the cost of living by financial assets liquidated the real assets with the exception of residential assets and used these to cover the cost of living. A total of 4.8% of the households were able to maintain the current cost of living through the second stage and 25.5% supplemented their funds by using residential assets. That is to say, 35% of the sample households were able to maintain the current level of living by using their assets.

Sasang Constitution Analysis and Wine Recommendation App suggestion through Mobile Face Recognition

  • With the global COVID-19 pandemic, the tourism sector and all consumption have contracted with the untact era. Wine will also be sold and developed in various ways non-face-to-face in the future. Therefore, it is necessary to develop apps and web servers that focus on health in the era of single-person households and non-face-to-face. This study used facial recognition data based on photos of adult men and women in their 40s and 50s to analyze the Sasang constitution through a mobile app and web server, and suggested wine recommendations suitable for their constitution. First, the user's body information is entered. And through the facial recognition mobile app, recommend the right wine after analyzing the body type. if it's not like the first recommended wine, it is configured to receive another wine recommendation. In the future, the number of single-person households will increase further, and in the age of well-being, wine recommendations that fit my body will be useful. 1인가구와 다인가구의 배달·테이크아웃 식품소비행태 비교 분석 (An Analysis of Delivery and Take-out Food Consumption According to Household Type)

  • 본 연구는 최근의 1인 가구 증가와 식품의 비대면 구매 증가 현상 속에서 7차 식품소비행태조사(2019) 자료를 이용하여 1인가구와 다인가구의 식품소비행태가 어떤 차이를 보이는지, 그리고 차이가 나는 원인은 무엇인지를 실증적으로 분석하였다. 보다 구체적으로 1인가구의 인구 특성별 요인과 배달 및 테이크아웃 식품 이용 빈도가 배달·테이크아웃의 지출액 변화에 미치는 효과를 검정한 후 다인가구와 비교 기술하였다. 분석 결과, 첫째 1인가구와 다인가구 모두 소득이 증가할수록 배달 및 테이크아웃 지출비용이 증가하는 것으로 나타났고, 1인가구가 다인가구에 비해 지출액이 높았다. 둘째, 1인가구의 여성일수록 배달 및 테이크아웃 지출비용이 높았으며, 다인가구의 여성은 상대적으로 배달 및 테이크아웃 지출비용이 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 연령에 따라 배달 및 테이크아웃 지출비용에 영향을 줄 것으로 기대했으나 특정 연령에 따른 지출비용 차이는 검증되지 않았다. 넷째, 1인가구와 다인가구 모두 배달 및 테이크아웃 이용 빈도가 증가할수록 지출비용이 증가하는 것으로 나타났으나, 1인 가구에서 주 4회 이상 배달 및 테이크아웃을 이용하는 소비자들은 지출비용이 줄어드는 것으로 분석되었다. 한편, 2020년 음식료 배달 시장은 코로나-19로 인해 전국 17개 시·도 중 12곳에서 전년대비 2배 이상 증가하며 보편적인 서비스산업으로 자리 잡았다고 볼 수 있다. 따라서 국내 식품산업이 식문화 트렌드 변화와 인구구조 변화에 부합하도록 정책적 지원과 관심이 필요한 시점이다.

DATA QUALITY AND COSTS IN MEASURING TIME-RELATED UNDEREMPLOYMENT IN KOREA

  • Time-related underemployment exists when a person's employment is insufficient in terms of the volume of work. Two alternative definitions can be considered based on a longer-term view or a shorter-term view and these were designed into a single questionnaire. We conducted a pilot sample survey with about 6,000 respondents in Korea. The estimates of underemployment using the two definitions show some differences given the ages, genders, industrial areas and main activities of the respondents. A larger number of people could be identified as underemployed when the longer-term view is used than when the shorter-term view is used, but there is a greater cost associated with the former. The cost-benefit of the interviewers' time was investigated by multiple visits to households. Biases and costs are also analyzed using the results of the comparison of the decrease in non-responses with the increase in the costs for the interviews.

국민건강영양조사 (2010~2012년)를 이용한 1인가구와 다인가구의 채소와 과일 섭취 비교 (Vegetable and fruit intake in one person household: The Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (2010~2012))

  • 본 연구는 국민건강영양조사 5기의 2010~2012년 자료로 독립이 가능한 20세 이상 남녀 14,914명의 24시간 회상법 자료를 이용하여 1인가구와 다인가구의 비염장채소와 과일, 과일, 김치를 적게 섭취할 위험도를 비교하였다. 1인가구 남성에서 미혼의 비율이 41.5%인 반면에 1인가구 여성에서 미혼비율이 9.2%로 여성 1인가구의 90%는 기혼인 것으로 나타났다. 1인가구와 다인가구의 가구소득은 남성에서 100만원 미만이 1인가구는 42.3%, 다인가구는 12.7%를 나타내었으며, 여성에서 1인가구는 100만원 미만이 70%, 다인가구는 11.9%로 1인가구에서 저소득층이 많은 것을 알 수 있다. 1인가구와 다인가구의 교육수준은 남성에서 6년 미만이 1인가구는 20.7%, 다인가구는 15.1%를 나타내었으며, 여성에서 1인가구는 6년 미만이 66.4%, 다인가구는 24.6%로 남성에서는 큰 차이가 없지만 여성의 교육수준에서는 1인가구와 다인가구의 큰차이를 보여주었다. 20세 이상 성인남녀에서 미혼인사람보다 기혼인사람의 채소과일 섭취량이 많고, 소득수준과 교육수준이 증가 함에따라 비염장채소와 과일섭취가 400 g 이상인 사람의 비율이 증가하였다. 가구 구조에 따른 채소 과일섭취량의 관계에 대해 분석한 결과 나이와 가구소득, 총에너지 섭취량을 보정한 후 남성에서는 1인가구가 다인가구에 비해 기준치보다 적게 비염장 채소와 과일을 섭취할 위험도, 그리고 김치 섭취에서는 적게먹을 위험도의 차이가 없었다. 그러나 여성에서 김치섭취에서 보정 후에도 다인가구에 비해 1인가구가 더 적게 먹을 위험도의 차이가 있는 것을 알 수 있다. 본 연구를 통해서 남성 1인가구는 다인가구에 비해 채소와 과일을 적게 섭취할 위험도의 차이가 유의하지 않지만, 여성에서는 1인가구가 다인가구에 비해 김치를 적게 먹을 위험도가 있는 것을 알 수 있었다.

1인가구 장년 성인(50~64세)의 인플루엔자 백신 접종률에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Influencing Factors on Influenza Vaccination among Korean 50~64 Age Adults Living Alone)

  • Purpose: Based on Anderson's model of health service utilization, we investigated the factors that affect the influenza vaccination status in Korean adults aged 50-64 years, who live alone. Methods: Data of 194 Korean adults aged 50-64 years, who live alone were obtained from the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 7th Edition (2016-2018). Descriptive statistics and a multiple logistic regression model were used for statistical analysis. Results: The influenza vaccination rate in the study population was 39.3%. Educational status and health behaviors such as smoking habits and regular medical check-up were associated with the influenza vaccination rate in Korean adults aged 50-64 years, who live alone. Multiple logistic regression analysis showed that educational level lower than middle school graduation (odds ratio [OR] 2.02), non-smoking status (OR 1.98), and lack of regular medical check-up (OR 0.62) were significantly associated with the influenza vaccination rate in Korean adults aged 50-64 years, who live alone. Conclusion: The influenza vaccination rate in Korean adults aged 50-64 years, who live alone, is relatively low; therefore, policies should be implemented to improve the influenza vaccination rate in this population. Influenza vaccination in single households was affected by health promotion activities; therefore, interventions are warranted to encourage overall health promotion activities.

COVID-19 전후 건강식품 섭취 여부 결정요인 비교 - 2019년~2021년 식품소비행태조사 자료 이용 - (Comparison of Determinants of Healthy Food Intake Before and After COVID-19 - Based on 2019~2021 Consumer Behavior Survey for Food -)

  • This study examined the determinants of healthy food purchases before and after COVID-19 in Korea. Binomial and multinomial logistic regression models were applied to Korea Rural Economic Institute's Food Consumer Behavior Survey data from 2019 to 2021. The analysis revealed a significant decrease in the non-intake of healthy food in 2021 compared to 2019, suggesting the impact of COVID-19 on healthy food consumption. Consumption patterns also changed, with a decrease in direct purchases and an increase in gift-based purchases. Several variables showed significant effects on healthy food intake. Single-person households exhibited a higher probability of eating healthy food after COVID-19. The group perceiving themselves as healthy had a lower likelihood of consuming healthy food pre-COVID-19, but this changed after the pandemic. Online food purchases, eco-friendly food purchases, and nut consumption showed a gradual decrease in the probability of non-intake over time. Gender and age also influenced healthy food intake. The probability of eating healthy food increased in the older age group compared to the younger group, and the probability increased significantly after COVID-19. The probability of buying gifts was significantly higher in those in their 60s, indicating that the path to obtaining healthy food differed by age.
