The government is promoting policies to increase policy efficiency by supporting corporate growth through corporate support and establishing the Ministry of SMEs and Startups as a control tower for corporate support projects. However, opinions on the efficiency of the government's corporate support project are divided, and this study aims to check how the government's corporate support project affects corporate performance and how absorption capacity and satisfaction, which are internal factors, affect corporate growth. Research was conducted on companies receiving government corporate support projects, and previous studies focused on financial support among government corporate support projects, while the effect of government corporate support was analyzed by dividing government support projects into financial and non-financial support, and absorption capabilities and corporate support satisfaction were analyzed. Through this, the effect on corporate financial performance and non-financial performance was empirically analyzed according to the mediating effect of absorption capacity and corporate support satisfaction in the government's corporate support project. As a result, both the government's financial and non-financial support had a positive effect on financial and non-financial performance, and it was confirmed that both absorption capacity and corporate support satisfaction mediate both financial and non-financial performance, and it was analyzed that it had a positive (+) effect. In order to improve the absorption capacity of a company, it is expected that it will be meaningful to improve the efficiency of the business by defining the problems faced by the company and suggesting solutions through the establishment of a supplier and consumer network.

This paper investigates how the weights of performance measures vary depending on corporate life cycle, such as birth, growth, maturity, revival, and decline. Balanced Scorecard performance measures are employed for this investigation. Balanced Scorecard has been widely used for measuring a corporate Performance by incorporating financial and non-financial measures simultaneously. Because these performance measures are related to the compensation and promotion of employees, research of weights of performance measures would be instrumental. Questionnaires from 218 companies are analyzed. Depending on the corporate life cycle, our survey results demonstrate that the weights of the business Performance measures differ In the four Perspectives - financial. customer, Internal Process, and learning/growth. Our results can be used for enhancing the Duality of performance measurement systems.
Ratio analysis allows a hospital to evaluate its own performance over time and to compare its performance with that of other hospitals. For this study, three types of ratio analysis were conducted based on some data on hospitals in Massachusetts. First, Key ratios influencing financial performance were identified using discriminant analysis. Second, the financial structures of the teaching and the non-teaching hospitals were compared using ratios and multiple comparison method. Third, the effects of the prospective reimbursement law of the state on financial performance were examined using ratios and paired t-test. The purpose of the law is to reduce hospital costs by setting the revenue ceiling prior to the effective budget year. The findings of this study were as follows: 1) When hospitals were divided into three groups, according to their operating income, only profitability ratios showed a consistent difference among the groups. 2) In the discriminant analysis, five ratios were selected: current ratio, operating margin, return on assets, fixed assets turnover, and inventory turnover. They are the key ratios to be monitored periodically for the purpose of evaluating the financial performance of hospitals. 3) When teaching hospitals were compared with non-teaching hospitals, acid ratio, days of cash on hand, and inventory turnover were statistically significant before the law went into effect, whereas only fixed assets turnover and inventory turnover were significant afterward. Contrary to previous studies, profitability ratios of teaching hospitals were higher than those of non-teaching hospitals, although the differences were not statistically significant. 4) When the ratios between the two periods (before and after the law) were compared, three profitability ratios (operating margin, return on assets, and return on equity) were significant for teaching hospitals, whereas three activity ratios (total assets turnover, fixed assets turnover, current assets turnover) were significant for non-teaching hospitals. Furthermore, while both total operating revenue and expenses were decreased, net operating income was increased, due to a greater decrease in total operating expenses. This shows that the law can indeed, simultaneously, achieve both a reduction in costs as well as an improvement in the financial situation of hospitals.
This study describes how the weights of performance measures varies depending on business strategy types, such as defenders, prospectors, analyzers, and reactors. A Balanced Scorecard has been widely used for measuring a corporate performance to incorporate financial and non-financial measures simultaneously. Because such performance measurements are related to the compensation and promotion of employees, research of weights of performance measures would be instrumental. Our test results demonstrate that the weights of the business performance measures differ in the four perspectives-financial, customer, internal process, and learning and growth. Furthermore, there is evidence that the weights of performance measures vary depending on business strategy. Our study results can be used for enhancing the quality of performance measurement systems.

The Purpose of this study is to Identify and analyze the factors that determine the survival or success of internet-based companies in the start-up phase. The reason why we focus on companies which are in the early stage of development is because internet business is still at its early stage, and statistics indicate that many internet businesses have failed during the start-up phase. Using the model of new product outcomes proposed by Cooper(1979), we have formulated a conceptual model for more successful internet business ventures. On the basis of this model, the relationship between the financial and non-financial performance and various variables in the model is analyzed. For collecting empirical data, a web-based survey questionnaire was designed. A total of 97 usable questionnaires were gathered from internet companies nationwide. The results showed that controllable variables such as the commercial entity and information acquired during the new business process are related to the non-financial performance, while environment variables such as the compatibility of the resource base of the firm with the business, including a few controllable variables, are related to the financial performance. Future research needs to explore more precisely how the success factors are different according to the types of internet businesses and/or the stages of growth of the business.
Many researchers conducted studies on the relationship between entrepreneur's characteristic, capability, strategy and performance of new venture. However, the development of scientific technique and the complexity of the business environment have stimulated entrepreneurial teams rather than individuals. Therefore, the necessity of theoretical and practical study on the effect of the characteristics of an entrepreneurial team on the new venture companies was suggested. Initial research on entrepreneurial team diversity has primarily addressed the impact of demographic diversity on performance. In order to verify the research model of this study, 287 delegates of new venture companies that participated in the projects at the 18 Centers for Creative Economy & Innovation in 17 regions of the country conducted validity and reliability test based on the questionnaire to which they answered. The result shows that only gender diversity among demographic diversity affected non-financial performance. Information diversity influenced career diversity on financial performance and diversity in education on non-financial performance. Also, the higher the previous sharing experience, the better the financial performance. Value diversity has negative effect on both financial and non-financial performance. Based on the results, theoretical and practical implications are derived. Also suggested are methodological limitations and future research directions.
This study aims to analyze how the perception of a food purchasing system affects non-financial performance and job satisfaction among the kitchen employees of contract foodservice companies in Taegu Gyeongbuk area. By a convenience method, 197 copies(85%) out of 230 copies of the questionnaire were used for analysis. For data processing, the SPSS WIN Version 14.0 statistical package program was used and the frequency analysis reliability analysis, factor analysis were conducted so the hypothesis was verified through the multiple regression analysis. The results are as follows: First, the perception of a food purchasing system affected job satisfaction as a whole, which was significant in food ingredients management factors of sub-hypothesis1-2. Second, the perception of a food purchasing system affected non-financial management performance, which was significant in food ingredients management factors of sub-hypothesis2-2, and food ingredients supply and demand factors of sub-hypothesis2-3. Third, job satisfaction affected non-financial management performance of a company as suggested by hypothesis 3. From these results, it was found that kitchen employees' perception of a food purchasing system can induce their positive attitude, which exerts positive effects on business performance.
With the innovation of information technology, non-face-to-face robo advisor with high accessibility and convenience is spreading. The current robot advisor recommends appropriate investment products after understanding the investment propensity based on the structured data entered directly or indirectly by individuals. However, it is an inconvenient and obtrusive way for financial consumers to inquire or input their own subjective propensity to invest. Hence, this study proposes a way to deduce the propensity to invest in unstructured data that customers voluntarily exposed during consultation or online. Since prediction performance based on unstructured document differs according to the characteristics of text, in this study, classification algorithm optimized for the characteristic of text left by financial consumers is selected by performing prediction performance evaluation of various learning discrimination algorithms and proposed an intelligent method that automatically recommends investment products. User tests were given to MBA students. After showing the recommended investment and list of investment products, satisfaction was asked. Financial consumers' satisfaction was measured by dividing them into investment propensity and recommendation goods. The results suggest that the users high satisfaction with investment products recommended by the method proposed in this paper. The results showed that it can be applies to non-face-to-face robo advisor.

Based on innovative technologies and new start-up ideas, startups have been actively researched on the entrepreneurship needed to strengthen the organization's capabilities and generate results in the start-up process. This study studied the entrepreneurial orientation on the performance of startups in the Philippines and the financial and non-financial performance of enterprises. This study carried out not only the entrepreneurial orientation to the performance of Filipino startups but also the role of social capital as parameters in the performance of enterprises. The empirical research was completed for 93 Philippine startups and the suitability of the research model was evaluated with a PLS-based structural equation model. The results of the study first confirmed that the enterprise orientation of Philippine startups has a positive impact on both financial and non-financial performance of the enterprises. Second, the entrepreneurial orientation of Philippine startups has been shown to have a positive effect on both the structural, cognitive and relational dimensions of social capital. Third, it was found that the relevant dimensions of social capital mediated both the corporate orientation and the relationship between the financial and non-financial performance of the entity. Entrepreneurial orientation has been confirmed to be directly or indirectly affecting the performance of startups through social capital. These findings reaffirmed that entrepreneurial orientation is still a valid important factor in developing countries as well as in countries such as Korea and the United States. Based on this study, we have identified the need for research from a more integrated perspective, such as the concept of strategic orientation. Finally, practical implications were presented to reflect the findings analyzed.
