음질을 기초한 교통소음의 척도화에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Evaluation Scale of Traffic Noise base on Sound Quality Index)

  • This paper describes the methodology for environmental assessments of traffic noise sources. An attempt is made to establish evaluation scale relationships between noise quality Parameters and subjective degrees annoyance. Subjective experimental was conducted to determine the subjective degrees annoyance that scaling score compare with reference and varieties noise source about modified traffic noises with $40{\sim}85dB$. Also a correlation analysis between noise rating index and satisfactory percentage of the noise dose response curves varied with response was conducted. As a result of study, subjective annoyance degree has not correlation of proportional linearity to the A weight noise level, but has correlation of proportional linearity to the index composed to loudness and tonality. It is suggested to be resonable level 4.9 (equivalence about 53dB) index on the out door noise limits for traffic noise and to be 6 step scale base on the linearity for evaluation traffic noise.

  • Floor impact noise isolation performance of reinforced concrete floors was investigated through new measurement method using impact bail. Strong impact force in Bow frequency band below 63 Hz of bang machine is not similar to human impact source and causes some problem in evaluating heavy-weight Impact noise but heavy-weight impact noise measurement and evaluation using impact ball which is very similar to human impact is more reliable than bang machine. Correction value on the background noise and sensitivity of residents should be considered on the floor impact noise evaluation classes.

  • The noise inside a naval vessel is very important in considering the need for hearing protection, improving the working environment and maintaining good communications for crews living on board a naval vessel. The indoor noise of a ship usually is specified by the A-weighted sound pressure level, but other evaluating parameters are required to reflect human senses more effectively. This paper uses additional noise indices related to room acoustics, such as NR(noise rating), NC(noise criterion), RC(room criterion), PSIL(preferred speech interference level) and loudness level to evaluate the noise inside cabins on a naval vessel. Using these psychological noise indices, allowable limit of noise level in cabins is suggested through psycho-acoustic evaluation for the noise in cabins.

  • In this study, evaluation was carried out for reduction method of floor impact noise through field test and the effective methods for heavy impact noise were proposed. As a field test, impact noise reduction materials such as EPP, EEPS, EVA, PE and so on, did not satisfied the recommandation value at the condition of 150mm thickness concrete slab. The evaluation results for those materials by 'inverse A curve' showed $53\sim55dB$ at heavy impact noise and $53\sim58dB$ at light impact noise. But, two methods proposed by authors were evaluated $47\sim50dB$ at heavy Impact noise and $54\sim58dB$ at light Impact noise on the similar concrete slab thickness.

  • In this study, metrics for evaluation of heavy-weight impact noise were investigated. Heavy-weight impact noises generated by impact ball were recorded in real apartments using binaural microphone. Those sounds were classified into three groups according to frequency characteristics in order to control aspects which affect subjective responses to heavy-weight impact noise. Sound sources for auditory experiment were selected based on the classification result. Then auditory experiments were conducted to investigate the relationship between level indices and subjective responses. The results showed that $L_{Aeq},\;L_{Amax}$ and $LL_z$ as well as $L_{iFmax,AW}$ were highly correlated with subjective response. Therefore, $L_{Aeq}$ and $L_{Amax}$ can be used as metrics for evaluation of heavy-weight impact noise. In further studies, it is needed to verify classification of heavy-weight impact noise generated by bang machine and impact ball.

  • The diffuser noise of HVAC(heating ventilating and air-conditioning) uses dB(A) or NC as a indoor noise criteria that ASHRAE represents, and there is no specific guide line for application. According to the previous study, there are some problems like that even though the sound level of sound source is same, the NC shows different values, which makes the noise rating confused. This problem is caused by the frequency characteristics of sound source and its sound level. Therefore, appropriate evaluation method should be considered based on the subjective responses. This study aims to analyze the physical parameters appropriate for the evaluation of HVAC diffuser noise.   • The Conventional noise control attempts to simply reduce the level of product noise. But it is very straight forward way that we have consider human perception on noise. Since human listening is very sensitive to sound. Evaluation of the sound quality of a Vacuum Cleaner is studied base on human sensibility engineering. In this paper, we choose two Vacuum Cleaners that are sold in Korea and reduced noise control. Comparison Method is used to evaluate noise and preference of Vacuum Cleaner by steps. The sound quality of Vacuum Cleaner noise is analyzed by employing the subjective evaluation and by representing them in terms of the objective quantities. Semantic Differential Method is used to study sound quality Evaluation. To analyze the sound quality of Vacuum Cleaner noise, consider the coefficients of correlation between sound metrics and subjective rating. The linear regression models were obtained for the subjective evaluation and sound quality metrics.

  • The quality of various noises generated in the refrigerator is one of the important factors in deciding quality of the product. The main focus of sound control design has been shifted from reduction of sound level to improvement of sound duality for customer's preference. Up to date the purpose of noise control is the minimization of noise level. However despite of gradual decrease of noise level, occasionally the perceptional quality of noise has not been improved. In this paper, the relation between subjective and objective evaluation of sound quality has established and sound quality index is developed using ANN for evaluation of refrigerator's noise of both the starting noise and the stable running noise of compressor. To verify the usefulness of the index, the results in this paper have been compared with those surveyed by Consumer Union in USA.

  • This paper describes the evaluation of noise influence of residental and boundary areas from power plant noise sources of 1200MW combined cycle power plant. Noise assessments are carried out by based on the ISO 3744, ISO 9613-1 and ISO 9613-2 to predict the noise distribution to satisfy the recommended noise level at specific locations and to calculate properly the octave noise power of main noise sources such as power transformers. air-intakes, stacks.

  • Recently, Most of diverse noise of vehicles has decreased competitively according to development of the automotive manufacturing technology. Especially, Passenger car manufacturers has been conducting buzz, squeak and rattle(BSR) noise test as a method of the noise evaluation tests to reduce an unpleasant sound from interior parts on the driving the car. This paper suggest a evaluation method for detecting position of noise source from measured noise signals of vehicle seats during random excitation BSR test. Hereby the BSR test procedure used the test regulation of 'G' company. The detection of noise source positions used the Sound image equipment. Through suggested the test method on this paper, an accurate analysis of noise source occurred in the BSR test will be possible.
