This paper studied a method of attenuating nonlinear noise using a Wiener filter of a neural network structure in an acoustic noise attenuator. This system improves nonlinear noise attenuation performance with a deep learning algorithm using a neural network Wiener filter instead of using a conventional adaptive filter. A voice is estimated from a single input voice signal containing nonlinear noise using a 128-neuron, 8-neuron hidden layer and an error back propagation algorithm. In this study, a simulation program using the Keras library was written and a simulation was performed to verify the attenuation performance for nonlinear noise. As a result of the simulation, it can be seen that the noise attenuation performance of this system is significantly improved when the FNN filter is used instead of the Wiener filter even when nonlinear noise is included. This is because the complex structure of the FNN filter expresses any type of nonlinear characteristics well.
An adaptive filter for noise cancellation of ECG Is proposed. An adaptive noise canceller using the least mean squares algorithm Is used to reduce unwanted noise. An adaptive filter for nolse cancella lion minimizes the mean-square error between a primary input and a reference input. A primary input is the noisy ECG, and a reference input is a noise that Is correlated in some way with the noise in the primary input or a signal that is correlated only with ECG in the primary input.
This paper deals with the characteristic analysis of noise filter for the reduction of conduction noise, especially, common-mode noise. Attenuation in the system containing noise filter is analyzed and equivalent circuits for common- and differential- mode noise are derived. To clarify the effects by parasitic components of the inductor and capacitor, digital simulations using Design Center are carried out.

The air filter in engine intake system filters the dirt in the breathing air but also it attenuates the noise although the phenomenon has been regarded negligible. For the analysis of the acoustical performance of air filter, an acoustical model is suggested in this paper. The air filter consists of a porous filter element, which catches the particulate dirt, and a plastic filter box, which supports the filter element. Fibrous structure of the filter element is modeled as a micro-perforated panel using the flow resistivity and porosity. The pleated geometry of the filter element is modeled as two coupled ducts and a mathematical model is developed for the analysis of sound propagation. The filter box Is modeled as a rigid rectangular box. By combining two models, a 4-pole transfer matrix for the air filter is derived. The transmission loss calculated using the transfer matrix of the suggested model is compared with the measured data. Reasonably good agreement is observed. The result can be improved by considering the visco-thermal effect in modeling, in particular at a frequency range near the troughs of TL curve.
The filter technique was applied to noise images, as noise is the significant factor that cause poor image quality due to lower photon counting. The purpose of this study is to confirm that image quality can be improved using the median modified Wiener filter (MMWF) technique; this is achieved via a National Electrical Manufacturers Association International Electrotechnical Commission body phantom with four large spheres that are filled with the 99mTc radioisotope when evaluating the image quality. Conventional filters such as Wiener, Gaussian, and median filters were designed, and signal to noise ratio, coefficient of variation, and contrast to noise ratio were used as the evaluation parameters. The improvement in the image quality was in the following order, from the least to the highest improvement, in all cases: Wiener filter, Gaussian filter, median filter, and the MMWF technique. The results show that the image quality was improved from 20.6 to 65.5%, 7.4-40.3%, and 12.7-44.7% for the SNR, COV, and CNR values, respectively, when using the MMWF technique, compared with the use of conventional filters. In conclusion, our results demonstrated that the MMWF technique is useful for reducing the noise distribution in gamma camera images.

HVDC converter station consists of a number of noise sources such as converter transformer, ac filter, cooling system and so on. In this paper, we analyzed the simulation results of the outdoor acoustic noise characteristics for HVDC converter station. It shows that maximum noise level in boundary of HVDC converter station exceeds regulation value. The main factors in generating maximum noise level are ac filter and converter transformer. Then we applied some soundproof countermeasure in HVDC converter station. Shielding wall is enough to reduce transformer noise level but not enough to reduce ac filter noise level. In case of ac filter, soundproof building is effective in satisfying noise level regulation in boundary of HVDC converter station. In addition, we also studied effects of season, soundproof woods, ground.

In this paper, we propose a noise estimation method using edge detection. It is a filter-based noise estimation method. Edge detection is to exclude structures and details which have an effect on the noise estimation. To detect edge, we use a modified rational filter which is robust to details of images. The proposed noise estimation method is more efficiently applied to noise estimation in various types of images and has better results than those of conventional filter-based noise estimation methods.

This paper investigates impulsive noise from a pole transformer in low voltage distribution system for power line communication. EMI noise from the pole transformer is indicated from the experiment. The noise has certain characteristics because it is caused by partial discharge. The noise level is above -35dBm without a filter. Therefore, the filter which is made of ferrite is used in order to eliminate the noise. the noise filters should be applied to both the phase line and the neutral line. Otherwise, It is likely to have little overall impact on elimination of noises. the performance of filter is verified with various experiments. In conclusion, the equivalent circuit of power line communication including noise source is described as a lumped circuit.
We propose an adaptive Recursive Least Rank(RLR) L-filter which uses an L-estimator in order statistics and is based on rank estimate in robust statistics. The proposed RLR L-filter is a non-linear adaptive filter using non-linear adaptive algorithm and adapts itself to optimal filter in the sense of least dispersion measure of errors with non-homogeneous step size. Therefore the filter may be suitable for applications when the transmission channel is nonlinear channels such as Gaussian noise or impulsive noise, or when the signal is non-stationary such as image signal.

In this paper, detection based - adaptive windowed nonlinear filter(DB-AWNF) is proposed for removing salt-pepper noise in infrared image. This filter is composed of impulse detector and window-size-variable median filters. Impulse detector checks whether current pixel is impulse or not using range function and nonlinear location estimator. If impulse is detected, current pixel is filtered according to four kinds of local masks by use of median filter. If not, current pixel is delivered to output like identity filter. In Qualitative view, the proposed could have removed heavy corrupted noise up to 30% and reserved the details of image. In quantitative view, PSNR was measured. The proposed could have about 12-31[dB] more improved performance than those of median $(3{\times}3)$ filter and 13-29[dB] more improved performance than those of median $(5{\times}5)$ filter.
