아이부를 갖지 않고 자유고가 큰 겹판스프링의 특성해석 (The Characteristic Analysis of Leaf Springs with Large Free Camber and without Spring Eye)

  • The leaf spring is used in the suspension of most buses and trucks due to its compactness, which reduces the shock-force and the vibration from the road, and increases passenger comfortability and carlife. Of the various kinds of leaf springs, the leaf spring without eyes can be found easily in the heavy duty truck, and has different characteristics to the leaf spring with eyes in the case of large free camber. Because of radius change, the leaf without eyes slips on the supports, which makes the deflection. The difference is due to this deflection. In this paper, we show the general method of characteristic analysis, for example, Pandan method, can be no more applicable to these springs. Thus considering the geometry deflection by slip, we have developed the equation of the characteristic of the leaf spring without eyes and prove the effectiveness of this equation by experiment. From the result, at large camber the slip deflection is large and as camber smaller, this is smaller. At the camber behind some value, the effect of slip no longer influence to the characteristic of leaf springs.

질소 도핑된 P/P- Epitaxial Silicon Wafer의 Slip 및 강도 평가 (Evaluation of Slip and Strength of Nitrogen doped P/P- Epitaxial Silicon Wafers)

  • The relation between bulk microdefect (BMD) and mechanical strength of $P/P^-$ epitaxial silicon wafers (Epitaxial wafer) as a function of nitrogen concentrations was studied. After 2 step anneal$(800^{\circ}C/4hrs+1000^{\circ}C/16hrs)$, BMD was not observed in nitrogen undoped epitaxial silicon wafer while BMD existed and increased up to $3.83\times10^5\;ea/cm^2$ by addition of $1.04\times10^{14}\;atoms/cm^3$ nitrogen doping. The slip occurred for nitrogen undoped and low level nitrogen doped epitaxial wafers. However, there was no slip occurrence above $7.37\times10^{13}\;atoms/cm^3$ nitrogen doped epitaxial wafer. Mechanical strength was improved from 40 to 57 MPa as nitrogen concentrations were increased. Therefore, the nitrogen doping in silicon wafer plays an important role to improve BMD density, slip occurrence and mechanical strength of the epitaxial silicon wafers.

BF인증을 위한 바닥 마감재 미끄럼 성능기준 및 측정방법에 대한 연구 (A Study on Floor Slip Resistance Standard and Test Method for BF Certification)

  • Purpose: There are no clear criteria for slip performance in the BF certification process, so the evaluator relies on subjective judgments depending on the field situation. Physical criteria for determining the slip performance of various floor finishes are not clear. C.S.R., the only criterion currently being used to check slip performance, may raise questions about its coverage, feasibility and reliability. Method: For an analysis of domestic standards and status, KS L 1001, KS M 3510, and KS F 2375. External standards are analyzed for ADA Standard, ANSI Standard, and BS EN Standard. Analyze the test methods and evaluation criteria of O-Y-PSM, BPT, and the dynamic slip resistance test used in these criteria. It also presents an improvement plan for the rational presentation of standards. Results: To date, various kinds of test methods and measuring devices of the slip resistance coefficient have been developed, but there are not many ways to trust useful results related to user safety. Reliability and thoroughly verified test methods and criteria should be used to assess the slip performance of the floor. In order to improve the standard for the evaluation of slip performance in Korea, the existing standard should first be raised to the same level as the overseas standard, and the application of the discriminatory standard should be applied considering the characteristics and usage patterns of each space. Implication: Currently, Korean standards propose various test methods, but the proper use of test methods, scope and assessment criteria are not established, so improvement of the comprehensive standard is necessary.

  • This paper introduces the modified slip energy recovery system in order to improve its power factor and to reduce harmonics of line current waveforms. Twelve pulse line commutated converter with the chopper type IGBT is applied where the chopper is applied across the DC terminal and the chopped DC is fed to the converter operating as an inverter and then passed through the wye-wye and delta-wye transformer circuit. This scheme leads to be able to adjust the speed of the motor by the duty cycle of the chopper operating in PWM mode. The fuzzy logic controller is also introduced to the modified slip energy recovery system for keeping the motor speed to be constant when the load varies. The experimental results in testing the 0.22 kW wound rotor induction motor from no-load condition to rated condition show the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme.

유한요소법을 이용한 개수로단면급확대부의 순환현상해석 (Finite Element Analysis for Circulation Phenomena in Sudden Expansion of Open Channel)

  • 수심에 대하여 평균을 취한 2차원 연속방정식 및 운동방정식에 Galerkin형 유한요소법이 적용되어 개수로 단면급확대부의 순환현상을 해석하였다. 모형의 타당성실험이행하여진 단순한 수로에서의 파동실험결과, 본 모형이 L2오차 0.5% 이내에서 만족스럽게 수렴학 있으며, 댐파괴시 수면곡선해석에서도 수치해와 정확도가 거의 일치하는매우 양호한 결과가 도출되어 모형의 타당성 및 유용성이 제시된다. 순환흐름 해석시 초기조건으로 주수로부의 흐름을 정의하는 새로운 조건이 도입되어 이용되었고, 측벽경계조건으로는 Neumann 조건 이외에 slip 조건을 취하여 실험한 결과 slip 조건이 no-slip 조건일 때의 강한 경계층을 배제하는 타당한 측별경계조건으로 판단된다. 본 모형을 개수로단면급확대부에 적용한 결과 하상마찰 및 유효전단에 기인된 난류의 영향은 크지 않은 반면 이송가속도는 순환흐름에 지대한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

Slip Movement Simulations of Major Faults Under Very Low Strength

  • Through modeling fault network using thin plate finite element technique in the San Andreas Fault system with slip rate over 1mm/year, as well as elevation, heat flow, earthquakes, geodetic data and crustal thickness, we compare the results with velocity boundary conditions of plate based on the NUVEL-1 plate model and the approximation of deformation in the Great Basin region. The frictional and dislocation creep constants of the crust are calculated to reproduce the observed variations in the maximum depth of seismicity which corresponds to the temperature ranging from $350^{\circ}C$ to $410^{\circ}C$. The rheologic constants are defined by the coefficient of friction on faults, and the apparent activation energy for creep in the lower crust. Two parameters above represent systematic variations in three experiments. The pattern of model indicates that the friction coefficient of major faults is 0.17~0.25. we test whether the weakness of faults is uniform or proportional to net slip. The geologic data show a good agreement when fault weakness is a trend of an additional 30% slip dependent weakening of the San Andreas. The results of study suggest that all weakening is slip dependent. The best models can be explained by the available data with RMS mismatch of as little as 3mm/year, so their predictions can be closely related with seismic hazard estimation, at least along faults where no data are available.

Bond-slip constitutive model of concrete to cement-asphalt mortar interface for slab track structure

  • The bonding interface of the concrete slab track and cement-asphalt mortar layer plays an important role in transferring load and restraining the track slab's deformation for slab track structures without concrete bollards in high-speed railway. However, the interfacial bond-slip behavior is seldom considered in the structural analysis; no credible constitutive model has been presented until now. Elaborating the field tests of concrete to cement-asphalt mortar interface subjected to longitudinal and transverse shear loads, this paper revealed its bond capacity and failure characteristics. Interfacial fractures all happen on the contact surface of the concrete track slab and mortar-layer in the experiments. Aiming at this failure mechanism, an interfacial mechanical model that employed the bilinear local bond-slip law was established. Then, the interfacial shear stresses of different loading stages and the load-displacement response were derived. By ensuring that the theoretical load-displacement curve is consistent with the experiment result, an interfacial bond-slip constitutive model including its the corresponding parameters was proposed in this paper. Additionally, a finite element model was used to validate this constitutive model further. The constitutive model presented in this paper can be used to describe the real interfacial bonding effect of slab track structures with similar materials under shear loads.

  • Slips and falls are associated with many occupational injuries in Korea. It is also estimated that slipping are major contributors to slip, trip and fall injury burden. So "LOCAL RULE ON OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDAR D" must be improved, especially article 3(prevention of slip, trip and fall). The primary purpose of the present study is to determine if, and to what extent, the standard could be improved in present environment. In order to fulfill our objective, the another regulation in Korea and foreign countries were investigated and reviewed. Many kind of standard, mandatory documents and guideline were also reviewed. And then, regulations, standard, guideline etc. reviewed were compared with each others. The article 3 was revised as below. 1. The floors of the traffic route in workplace shall have no hole or slope, or be uneven or slippery so as, in each case, to expose employees to slip, trip and fall risk, except if adequate measures have been taken to prevent a employees falling. 2. The employer shall design, install and fix the drain for effective drainage if fluid contaminants were frequently occurred. So far as is reasonably practicable, An employer shall keep the workplace clean, sanitary, and dry so that employees won't have any risk to tripping or slipping at the workplace. 3. To facilitate cleaning, every floor, workplace, and passageway shall be, so far as is reasonably practicable, kept free from protruding objects, splinters, holes, etc. Also, some criteria was developed in this study. Standard and criteria developed in this study will help to prevent slip, trip, and fall injuries.

요소용액을 이용한 파일럿규모 SNCR 공정에 대한 CFD 모델링 및 모사 (Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD) Simulation for a Pilot-scale Selective Non-catalytic Reduction(SNCR) Process Using Urea Solution)

  • 질소산화물($NO_x$) 저감을 위한 선택적 무촉매 환원(SNCR; selective non-catalytic reduction) 공정의 성능은 유속, 반응온도 그리고 반응물간의 혼합과 같은 공정변수에 민감하다. 따라서 효율적인 SNCR 공정의 설계와 운전을 위하여 속도장, 온도장, 및 화학물질들의 농도 분포에 대한 이해가 필수적이다. 본 연구에서는 150 kW LPG 버너가 장착되고, 요소용액을 환원제로 사용하는 파일럿 규모 SNCR 공정에 대하여 액적모델과 결합된 2차원 난류반응흐름 전산유체역학(CFD; computational fluid dynamics) 모델을 개발하고, 이 모델은 실험결과를 통하여 검증된다. 난류반응 CFD 모델에서는 $NO_x$저감율과 $NH_3$-slip을 예측하기 위하여 7개 반응식으로 이루어진 요소용액과 $NO_x$와의 반응기작을 이용한다. 이러한 모델을 이용한 CFD 모사결과는 온도와 NSR(normalized stoichiometric ratio)에 따른 $NO_x$ 저감율에서 실험결과와 최대 20% 이내에서 차이를 보여주고 있으며, $NH_3$-slip에 대하여는 실험결과와 모사결과 사이에 유사한 경향성을 얻었다.

산업 안전을 위한 시각영역에 관한 연구 (A Study of Visual Field for Industrial Safety)

  • Due to the inconsiderateness of human capability and inappropriate arrangement of display and control unit at the industrial site, the human error leads to a various accidents. This study was performed to investigate the visual range at the eye field and stationary field at the various angles with three different visual stimuli of alphabetic character, color slip and light-emitting diode. Three kinds of various alphabetic characters depending on length and breadth ratio (1:1, 3:5, 5:3) and three different colors (red, yellow, green) were used for the stimuli. Twenty-five subjects (11 males and 14 females) participated for this study. The results showed that female had wider visual range than male at the eye field, however no significant difference was found at the stationary field. The light-emitting diode had a widest visual range then color slip and characters are in order at the eye field and stationary field. For the character stimulus, the widest visual range was shown at length and breadth ratio of 1:1. The other ratios (3:5 and 5:3) showed no significant difference. The color of red had a widest visual range on the light-emitting diode, however, the color of yellow showed a widest visual range on the just color slip at the eye field. The result of this study would be valuable in applying to the design of visual display and the panel layout of control and displays in the industrial site.
