In order to find an efficient bacterial strain that can carry out nitrification and denitrification simultaneously, we isolated many heterotrophic nitrifying bacteria from wastewater treatment plant. One of isolates NS13 showed high removal rate of ammonium and was identified as Alcaligenes faecalis by analysis of its 16S rDNA sequence, carbon source utilization and fatty acids composition. This bacterium could remove over 99% of ammonium in a heterotrophic medium containing 140 mg/L of ammonium at pH 6-9, $25-37^{\circ}C$ and 0-4% of salt concentrations within 2 days. It showed even higher ammonium removal at higher initial ammonium concentration in the medium. A. faecalis NS13 could also reduce nitrate and nitrous oxide by nitrate reductase and nitrous oxide reductase, respectively, which was confirmed by detection of nitrate reductase gene, napA, and nitrous oxide reducase gene, nosZ, by PCR. One of metabolic intermediate of denitrification, $N_2O$ was detected from headspace of bacterial culture. Based on analysis of all nitrogen compounds in the bacterial culture, 42.8% of initial nitrogen seemed to be lost as nitrogen gas, and 46.4% of nitrogen was assimilated into bacterial biomass which can be removed as sludge in treatment processes. This bacterium was speculated to perform heterotrophic nitrification and aerobic denitrification simultaneously, and may be utilized for N removal in wastewater treatment processes.

Management of children who show negative response to treatment was difficult. Usually the dentist used the restraintor sedatives for these children. Especially it is very difficult to management of definitely negative behavior patients who resist to ordinary sedative technics including psychosedation and various sedatives. These patients were managed with general anesthesia. Midazolam was used for sedation of non-cooperative pediatric patients and halothane for induce initial sleepness, If the patient shows negative response to management after 15 minutes of midazolam administration, used the halothane in 30 to 120 seconds for calm down the patient. After induce sleepness, cut off the halothane administration and maintain the sedation with $N_2O$ in 50-70 vol.% concentration. This technic reduce the toxity and untoward effects of major anesthetics. To compare the difference of sedation effect by dosage, dose of 0.2mg/kg and 0.3mg/kg were injected respectively. Though there's no statistical difference in duration and results between two dosage but show the increment of score with age, If the patients show positive response to management after midazolam administered. try to conscious sedation with nitrous oxide in 30 to 70 vo.% concentration. Nitrous oxide concentration was administered slowly according to their consciousness and response to treatment by increment or decrement. The success rate of conscious sedation were 21.2% in 0.2mg/kg and 30.3% in 0.3mg/kg. There's many factors in proceed of conscious sedation. The most important factors are age of patient and experience of children for dental care.
A laboratory experiment was conducted to find out the denitrification rate upon the different levels of nitrogen fertilizer in submerged sandy soil. The results obtained were summarized as follows: 1. The highest denitrification rate was observed at 25 days after incubation. The amount was reached at 1830 ug/100g soil for 20mg nitrogen was applied in 100g soil. 2. Increases of fertilizer nitrogen was enhanced the rate of ammonification and nitrification during the incubation time. 3. Deep correlation was observed between the denitrification capacities which was determined as nitrous oxide and Mitchaelis-Menten kinetic with relation to nitrate concentration. More higher denitrification rates were observed in Mitchaelis-Menten kinetic than dentrification rate with determined as nitrous oxide. 4. A Zero order (with relation to nitrate concentration) kinetic model for denitrification was presented in this experiment condition to illustrate the variability of nitrous oxide concentrations in the submerged soil atmosphere.

Nitrous oxide (N2O) is one of the six major greenhouse gases and is known to produce a greenhouse ef ect by absorbing infrared radiation in the atmosphere. In particular, its global warming potential (GWP) is 310 times higher than that of CO2, making N2O a global concern. Accordingly, strong environmental regulations are being proposed. N2O reduction technology can be classified into concentration recovery, catalytic decomposition, and pyrolysis according to physical methods. This study intends to provide information on temperature conditions and reaction time required to reduce nitrogen oxides with cost. The high-temperature ranges selected for pyrolysis conditions were calculated at intervals of 100 K from 1073 K to 1373 K. Under temperatures of 1073 K and 1173 K, the N2O reduction rate and nitrogen monoxide concentration were observed to be proportional to the residence time, and for 1273 K, the N2O reduction rate decreased due to generation of the reverse reaction as the residence time increased. Particularly for 1373 K, the positive and reverse reactions for all residence times reached chemical equilibrium, resulting in a rather reduced reaction progression to N2O reduction.
The objectives of this research were focused on the effects of various operating parameters on nitrous oxide emission such as C/N ratio, ammonia concentration and HRT in the hybrid and suspension reactors. With the decreasing of C/N ratios, $N_2O$ emission rates in the both processes were increased because organic carbon source for denitrification was depleted. In case of biofilm reactor operated using medium, $N_2O$ release from the nitrification was not affected by the variation of ammonia concentration. But in the suspension reactor, $N_2O$ production from the nitrification was rapidly increased with the increase of ammonia. Nitrite accumulation caused by undesirable nitrification conditions could be a important reason for the increase in the $N_2O$ production from the aerobic reactor. And rapid increase in $N_2O$ production was reflected by the decrease of HRT, similar to the results observed in the results of ammonia loading changes. So it could be said that it is very important to put in consideration both its optimum conditions for wastewater treatment efficiency and suitable conditions for $N_2O$ diminish, simultaneously, in order to development an eco-friendly and advanced wastewater treatment, especially in BNR process.
N2O is hazardous atmosphere pollution matter which can damage the ozone layer and cause green house effect. There are many other nitrogen oxide emission control but N2O has no its particular method. Preventing further environmental pollution and global warming, it is essential to control N2O emission from industrial machines. In this study, the thermal decomposition experiment of N2O gas mixture is conducted by using cylindrical reactor to figure out N2O reduction and NO formation. And CHEMKIN calculation is conducted to figure out reaction rate and mechanism. Residence time of the N2O gas in the reactor is set as experimental variable to imitate real SNCR system. As a result, most of the nitrogen components are converted into N2. Reaction rate of the N2O gas decreases with N2O emitted concentration. At 800℃ and 900℃, N2O reduction variance and NO concentration are increased with residence time and temperature. However, at 1000℃, N2O reduction variance and NO concentration are deceased in 40s due to forward reaction rate diminished and reverse reaction rate appeared.
In this study, nitrous oxide ($N_2O$) emission concentration was measured 3 times continuously for 24 hours from August 27, 2018 to October 22, 2018 and non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) spectrometer was used to calculate $N_2O$ concentration of exhaust gas from municipal solid waste (MSW) incinerator. As a result of $N_2O$ emission characteristics, it is estimated that $N_2O$ emission concentration is due to the difference of furnace temperature, oxygen concentration rather than the chemical component of waste. The measured $N_2O$ emission concentration of MSW incinerator was obtained in the range of 53.6 ~ 59.5 ppm and the total average concentration was measured 55.6 ppm. Therefore, the amount of $N_2O$ emissions calculated from the $N_2O$ concentration was $98.05kg\;day^{-1}$ on average and the amount of $N_2O$ distribution in the range of $90.41{\sim}108.44kg\;day^{-1}$ was obtained. As a result, the $N_2O$ emission factor of the MSW incinerator was estimated to be $1,066.13g_{N_2O}\;ton_{waste^{-1}}$. The estimated $N_2O$ emission factor of the MSW incinerator was 20 times higher than calculated emission factor used in the Tier 2 method. Consequently, it is considered that the method of calculating the amount of $N_2O$ emission in the MSW incineration facilities using waste type and incineration amount needs to be supplemented to ensure accuracy.

The sympathoadrenal system plays an important role in homeostasis in widely varing external environments. Conflicting findings, however, have been reported on its response to hypoxia. We investigated the effect of hypoxia on the sympathoadrenal system in dogs under halothane anesthesia by measuring levels of circulating catecholamines in response to graded hypoxia. Ten healthy mongreal dogs were mechanically ventilated with different hypoxic gas mixtures. Graded hypoxia and reoxygenation were induced by progressively decreasing the oxygen fraction in the inhalation gas mixture from 21%(control) to 15%, 10% and 5% at every 5 minutes, and then reoxygenated with 60% oxygen. Mean arterial pressure, central venous pressure and mean pulmonary arterial pressure were measured directly using pressure transducers. Cardiac output was measured by the thermodilutional method. For analysis of blood gas, saturation and content, arterial and mixed venous blood were sampled via the femoral and pulmonary artery at the end of each hypoxic condition. The concentration of plasma catecholamines was determined by radioenzymatic assay. According to the exposure of graded hypoxia, not only did arterial and mixed venous oxygen tension decreased markedly at 10% and 5% oxygen, but also arterial and mixed venous oxygen saturation decreased significantly. An increased trend of the oxygen extraction ratio was seen during graded hypoxia. Cardiac output, mean arterial pressure and systemic vascular resistance were unchanged or increased slightly. Pulmonary arterial pressure(PAP) and pulmonary vascular resistance(PVR) were increased by 55%, 76% in 10% oxygen and by 82%, 95% in 5% oxygen, respectively(p<0.01). The concentrations of plasma norepinephrine, epinephrine and dopamine increased by 75%, 29%, 24% in 15% oxygen and by 382%, 350%, 49% in 5% oxygen. These data suggest that the sympathetic nervous system was activated to maintain homeostasis by modifying blood flow distribution to improve oxygen delivery to tissues by hypoxia, but hemodynamic changes might be blunted by high concentration of nitrous oxide except PAP and PVR. It would be suggested that hemodynamic changes might not be sensitive index during hypoxia induced by high concentration of nitrous oxide exposure.

Film characteristics of thin reoxidized nitrided oxides were investigated by SIMS analysis and C-V method in order to use the gate dielectric for charge-trap type NVSMs instead of ONO stacked layers. Nitric oxide(NO) annealed film has the nitrogen content sharply peaked at the Si-SiO$_2$ interface, while it is broad for nitrous oxide($N_2$O) ambient. The nitrogen peak concentration increased with anneal temperature and time. The position of nitrogen content in the oxide layer was due to be precisely controlled. For the films annealed NO ambient at 80$0^{\circ}C$ for 30min. followed by reoxidized at 85$0^{\circ}C$, the maximum memory window of 3.5V was obtained and the program condition was +12V, 1msec for write and -l3V, 1msec for erase.

Atmospheric nitrous oxide ($N_2O$) level has been increasing at a rate of 0.2~0.3% per year. The rise in $N_2O$ concentration in atmosphere was mainly due to an increased application of nitrogen fertilizers. The objective of the study was to assess the effect of green manure crop and biochar on $N_2O$ emissions from upland crop field. The green manure crop used in the study was hairy vetch and the cultivated crop was red pepper (Capsicum annuum L.). Nitrogen was applied at a rate of $190kg\;ha^{-1}$, standard N fertilization rate for red pepper. Emissions of $N_2O$ from the field were reduced from the plots applied with hairy vetch and biochar by 46.5% and 24.6%, respectively, compared with nitrogen fertilizer treated plots with $N_2O$ emission of $1.14kg\;N_2O-N\;ha^{-1}$. The results from the study imply that green manure crop and biochar can be utilized to reduce greenhouse gas emission from the upland crop field.
