연소실 압력변동과 2차 연료분사가 화염안정화와 NOx 배출에 미치는 영향 (Influence of changing combustor pressure and secondary fuel injection on flame stabilization and NOx emission)

  • Influence of changing combustor pressure on flame stabilization and nitrogen oxide (NOx) emission in the swirl-stabilized flame with secondary fuel injection was investigated. The combustor pressure was controlled by suction at combustor exit. Pressure index ($P{\ast}=P_{abs}/P_{atm}$), where $P_{abs}$ and $P_{atm}$ indicated the absolute pressure and atmosphere pressure, was controlled in the range of $0.7{\sim}1.3$ for each equivalence ratio conditions. The flammable limits of swirl flames were largely influenced by changing combustor pressure and they showed different tendency compared with laminar flames. Emission index showed maximum value near atmospheric condition and decreased with decreasing pressure index for overall equivalence ratio conditions. R.m.s of pressure fluctuations also showed similar tendency with nitric oxide emission. By injecting secondary fuel into flame zone, the flammable limits were extended significantly. Emission index of nitric oxide and r.m.s. of pressure fluctuations were also controlled by injecting secondary fuel. The swirl flames were somewhat lifted by secondary fuel with high momentum, hence low nitric oxide emission. This NOx reduction technology is applicable to industrial furnaces and air conditioning system by adopting secondary fuel injection.

  • This research Proposes a Process design of injection molded microcellular plastic gears for enhancing the fatigue strength/durability and accuracy of the gears applying thermodynamic instability to microcellular foaming process. To develop the injection molded plastic gears by way of microceliular process, it is absolutely necessary the following two process design. The first is microcellular forming process for enhancing the strength/durability of plastic gears. To be microcellular process succeeded, based on the microcellular principle, mechanical apparatus is designed where nucleation and cell growth are to be generated renewably. The second is the counter pressure process which is mainly fur improving the tooth surface roughness and the accuracy of microcellular gears. For the former process, screw, nozzle and gas equipment are newly designed, and for the latter, counter pressure by nitrogen gas is intentionally brought about into mold cavity when injecting plastic gears. Based on the proposed process design, using gear mold, experiments of injection molding show that, in internal space of plastic gears, microcellular nuclear cells less than 5 lim in diameter have been generated homogeneously via electron microscope photos.

  • 본 논문에서는 액체로켓 엔진에 많이 사용된 충돌형 분사기의 미립화 특성에 대해 연구하였다. 분사속도와 주위 기체압력은 분열과 미립화 과정에 결정적인 영향을 주는 변수로서 $3m/s{\sim}30m/s,\;0.1Mpa{\sim}4.0MPa$로 변화시키면서 실험을 수행하였다. 전체적으로 분사속도와 기체압력의 증가에 따라 측정된 분열길이, 분열파장, 액적크기 등이 감소하였다. 하지만 그 감소율은 이론에서 예측된 것과는 다른 값을 나타내었다.

  • This study describes the characteristics of combustion and exhaust emission in the special engine applying a fuel reactivity controlled compression ignition (RCCI) concept with two different energizing type (solenoid and piezoelectric) injectors for diesel injection. A diesel-gasoline mixed dual-fuel reactivity controlled compression ignition concept is demonstrated as a promising method to achieve high thermal efficiency and low emission in internal combustion engines for transportation vehicles. For investigating the combustion characteristics of RCCI, engine experiments were performed in a light-duty diesel engine over a range of injection timing and mixing rate of gasoline in mass. It was investigated that by increasing the nozzle hole diameter, increasing the combustion pressure and the net indicated mean effective pressure. $NO_x$ and soot can be reduced by advancing start of injection in 84 mixing rate of gasoline in mass. The resulting operation showed that light duty engine could achieve 48 percent net indicated efficiency and 191[g/kW-hr] net indicated specific fuel consumption with lower levels of nitrogen oxides and soot.

Effect of Different Brine Injection Levels on the Drying Characteristics and Physicochemical Properties of Beef Jerky

  • Meat jerky is a type of meat snack with a long shelf life, light weight, and unique sensory properties. However, meat jerky requires a long manufacturing time, resulting in high energy consumption. In this study, beef jerky was prepared by injecting different concentrations of brine at different hot-air drying times (0-800 min). When the brine injection levels were increased to 30%, the drying characteristics of beef jerky, such as drying time and effective moisture diffusivity, were significantly improved owing to the relatively high water content and the formation of porous structures. The physicochemical properties (e.g. meat color, porosity, shear force, and volatile basic nitrogen) of the beef jerky injected with 30% brine were improved owing to the shortened drying time. Scanning electron microscopy images showed that the beef jerky structure became porous and irregular during the brine injection process. Our novel processing technique for manufacturing beef jerky leads to improved quality characteristics and shortened drying times.

인삼투여가토(人蔘投與家兎)의 혈액내(血液內) 비단백성질소함량(非蛋白性窒素含量)의 변화(變化)에 관한 연구(硏究) -문맥(門脈) 혈액(血液) 암모니아치(値)의 변화(變化)를 중심(中心)으로- (Studies on the Variation of Nonprotein Nitrogen Compounds in the Blood of Rabbits Administered with Panax ginseng -Mainly on the Variation of Ammonia Value in the Blood of Portal Vein-)

  • The present study was carried out to evaluate the effect of Panax ginseng on the metabolism of nonprotein nitrogen compounds in rabbit blood. After rabbits were administered with ginseng powder orally for 30 days or with ginseng extract intraperitoneally for 10 days, the blood was collected from portal and ear vein to measure ammonia, urea, creatinine and nonprotein nitrogen. The blood ammonia level in ear vein of control rabbits was $87.0{\pm}5.1{\mu}g/100ml$ and was not significantly different from that of rabbits which were administered with ginseng powder orally or with ginseng extract intraperitoneally. But oral administration of ginseng powder produced a great decrease in ammonia level of portal vein from 1,392 to $704{\mu}g$ per 100ml, suggesting that intestinal ammonia production is suppressed by ginseng powder due to its antimicrobial activity. While there was no significant difference between the control and the rabbits which were administered with ginseng extract intraperitoneally. Ginseng administration had no effect on the creatinine level in blood from ear and portal vein, except the intraperitoneal injection of ginseng extract. It slightly lowered the creatinine level only in ear vein blood. The values of urea and nonprotein nitrogen were net affected by the administration of ginseng.

고농도 암모니아성 질소 폐수의 효과적인 혐기성 처리를 위한 영향 인자 평가 (Estimation of influening factors for efficient anaerobic digestion of high strength ammonia-nitrogen wastewater)

  • In this study, the influencing factors for efficient anaerobic digestion of high strength ammonia-nitrogen wastewater removal were investigated by testing biochemical methane potential test. In the influencing factors, the trace metals which could increase activity of anaerobic microorganisms, microbial concentration and types were evaluated. In the results, trace metals supplementation showed gas production amount higher than those without addition of trace metals. Among the tested trace metals, B, Ni, and Se were preferable to gas production. In the result of gas production according to the microbial concentration, the amount of gas production was proportional to the microbial concentration. In addition, the shortest lag time and the fastest gas production rate were achieved when the highest microbial concentration was tested. granule-type microorganism produced more gas than suspended-type microorganism. In conclusion, the efficient anaerobic digestion for high strength ammonia-nitrogen wastewater removal could be achieved by applying necessary trace metals injection and high concentration granule type microorganism.

SAM p6 mouse에서 자하거 주사제의 골다공증 개선에 대한 연구 (Effects on osteoporosis of Senescence Accelerated Mice (SAM) P6 by Injection of Placenta extracts ($Beuronel^{(R)}$))

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of the Hominis placenta extracts on improvement of senile osteoporosis (Type 2) in SAM P6. In traditional Oriental medicine, Placenta (Jahageo) is indicated for insufficiency of blood and tidal fever due to steaming bone disorder. Methods : At 10 weeks after birth, Placenta ex. was given 100 mL, 200 ml/kg/day, i.p. 3 times a week for 4 weeks in SAM P6 mice. And then we measured complete blood cells, blood urea nitrogen, creatinine, inorganic phosphate and total iron. In addition, we tested bone mineral density (BMD) using the soft X-ray. Results : As a result, in SAM P6, injection of Placenta ex. (200 mL) increased in RBC, HB and PLT, in comparison with control group. It was also found that the inorganic phosphate levels increased significantly in the injection groups of the Placenta ex. from that of the control group, but blood urea nitrogen was no significant. Moreover, Placenta ex. were showed a trend of increase in bone mineral density (BMD) of the vertebrae lumbales and tibia in P6 mice. Conclusions : These findings suggest that Placenta ex. are effective in preventing bone loss in SAMP6.

분사기 형상 변경을 통한 저온 디젤 연소의 배기 배출물 저감 (Reduction of Exhaust Emissions Using Various Injector Configurations in Low Temperature Diesel Combustion)

  • Low temperature combustion is one of the advanced combustion technology in an internal combustion engine to reduce soot and nitrogen oxides simultaneously. In present experiment three kinds of injector were used to investigate the influence of injection angle and number of nozzle holes on the low temperature combustion in a heavy duty diesel engine. Low temperature diesel combustion is realized from the exhaust gas recirculation rate of 60%. Indicated mean effective pressure of low temperature combustion corresponds to the 70% level of conventional diesel engine combustion. Reduction of hydrocarbon and carbon monoxide, which are produced in low temperature combustion because of the low combustion temperature and a deficit of oxygen, was achieved by using various injector configuration. The result of experiment with $100^{\circ}$ injection angle and 8 holes showed that reductions in hydrocarbon and carbon monoxide could be achieved 58% and 27% respectively maintaining the 7% increased indicated mean effective pressure in low temperature diesel combustion compared with conventional injector.

중급 규모 가스화 복합발전 플랜트의 $NO_x$ 저감 방식이 성능 및 환경특성에 미치는 영향에 관한 평가 연구 (Evaluation Study on the Effects of $NO_x$ Reduction Techniques on the Performance and the Emission Characteristics of Medium Size Gasification Combined Cycle Plant)

  • 중급규모의 가스화 복합/열병합 플랜트의 공정설계와 성능평가를 수행하였다. 설계된 플랜트 공정을 바탕으로 가스터빈 연소기에 비포화 또는 포화된 질소를 분사시키거나 가스연료를 포화시키는 여러 가지 $NO_x$ 저감 기술들을 시도하여, $NO_x$ 저감 기법이 $NO_x$ 배출량에 미치는 영향과 플랜트의 출력, 효율 및 안정성에 미치는 영향을 동시에 검토하였다. 가스 연료의 포화보다는 질소의 분사를 통한 $NO_x$ 저감효과가 더욱 현저하며, 질소분산 시 포화된 질소를 사용하는 경우 $NO_x$ 저감 효과는 더욱 향상되었다. 또한 $NO_x$ 저감 기법의 적용은 $NO_x$ 배출량의 감소와 더불어 플랜트의 출력 및 효율 향상도 수반하나, 가스터빈의 불안정한 운전을 초래할 수도 있었다.
