Complex Permeability Analysis of NiCuZn Ferrites (NiCuZn 계 페라이트의 조성에 따른 복소투자율 변화 해석)

  • The characteristics of the complex permeability of ${(Ni_{x}Cu_{0.2}Zn_{0.8-x}O)}_{1-w}{(Fe_{2}O_{3})}_{1+w}$ with various Ni and $Co_{3}O_{4}$ contents were investigated in this work. It is found that the NiCuZn ferrites with $x{\geq}0.6$ have a relatively small peak width of the imaginary part of permeability $\mu$". The resonance frequency is increased as Ni content becomes higher, where the loss is low. The $\mu$" value decreases with increasing FezO, deficiency, but the resonance frequency($f_{\mu"max}$) is only slightly affected by $Fe_{2}O_{3}$ deficiency. In case of $Co_{3}O_{4}$ addition to the NiCuZn ferrites, the $f_{\mu"max}$ increases since the initial permeability decreases with the amount of $Co_{3}O_{4}$. It is concluded that the Ni content in the NiCuZn ferrite is a dominant factor for the total loss of these spinel ferrites.

  • The effect of Ni content in Cu underlayer on the magnetoresistance of Cu/Co artificial superlattice has been investigated. As the content of Ni increased, the preferred orientation of artificial superlattice changed from fec (100) to fcc (111) due to the change of the preferred orientation of the underlayer. When the content of Ni was 6 %, 26.7 % of magnetoresistance with 175 Oe of saturation field could be obtained in ${[Cu(19\AA)/Co(30\AA)]}_{20}|Cu-6%Ni(200\AA)/Si$.

  • sediments were collected from 23 ststions in Jinhae Bay and Cd, Cr, Cu, Fe, Ni, Mn, Pb and Zn were determined by atomic absorption spectrohotometry. The concentrations of Cd, Cr, Cu, Pb and Zn in the sediments decreased gradusally with increasing distance from the gead of Masan Bay, indicating pollutant transport from industrial and municipal wastewaters. But the levels of Co, Fe, Ni and Mn showed no difference througout the bay. analysis of correlation coefficients showed that Cd, Cr, Cu, Pb and Zn in the sediments were [losely associated to one another, whereas co, Fe and Ni were so associated.

  • In this study, we investigated the morphology and thermal stability of interfacial phases in joint between lead free solder(Sn-3.0Ag-0.5Cu) and electroless Ni-W-P under bump metallizations(UBM) with different tungsten contents as a function of thermal aging. Content of phosphorus of each deposits was fixed at 8 wt.%, and content of tungsten was variated each 0, 3, 6 and 9 wt.%. Specimens were prepared by reflowing at $255^{\circ}C$, aging range was $200^{\circ}C$ and up to 2 weeks. After reflow process, in the electroless Ni(W)-P/solder joint, the interfacial intermetallic compound(IMC) was showed both $(Cu,Ni)_6Sn_5$ and $(Ni,Cu)_3Sn_4$. UBM and generated IMC at the interface of lead free solder was proportionally increased with aging time. The thickness of IMC was increased because the generation rate of $Ni(W)_3P$ decreased with increasing contents of W.

Assessment on the Content of Heavy Metal in Orchard Soils in Middle Part of Korea (중부지역 과수원 토양중의 중금속 함량 평가)

  • Objectives of this study were to monitor the distribution of heavy metals, to compare extractable heavy metal with total content and to investigate the relationships between soil physico-chemical properties and heavy metals in orchard soil. Sampling sites were 48 in Gyeonggi, 36 in Gangwon, 36 in Chungbuk, and 44 in Chungnam, Soils were collected farm form two depths, 0 to 20 and 20 to 40 cm (here after referred to as upper and lower layers) from March to May in 1998. Total contents of heavy metal in soils were analyzed by ICP-OES after acid digestion ($HNO_3$:HCl:$H_2O_2$) whereas extractable contents were measured after successive extraction of 0.1N-HCl, 0.05 M-EDTA, and 0.005 M-DTPA. Mercury was analysed by mercury atomizer. The average contents of Cd Cu, and Pb in the extractant with 0.1N-HCl at upper layer were 0.080, 4.23, and 3.42 mg/kg, respectively. As content in the extractant with 1N-HCl was 0.44 mg/kg, and total contents of Zn, Ni and Hg were 78.9, 16.1, and 0.052 mg/kg, respectively. The ratios of concentrations of heavy metals to threshold values (Cd 1.5, Cu 50, Pb 100, Zn 300, Ni 40, Hg 4 mg/ke in Soil Environmental Conservation Act in Korea (2001) were low in the range of $1/2.5{\sim}1/76.9$ in orchard soils. The ratios of extractable heavy metal to total content ranged $5.4{\sim}9.21%$ for Cd, $27.9{\sim}47.8%$ for Cu, $12.6{\sim}21.8$% for Pb, $15.8{\sim}20.3%$ for Zn, $5.3{\sim}6.3%$ for Ni, and $0.7{\sim}3.6%$ for Zn, respectively. Cu and Pb contents in 0.05 M-EDTA extractable solution were higher than those in the other extractable solution. Total contents of Cd, Ni and Ni in soils were negatively correlated with sand content but positively correlated with silt and clay contents. Ratios of extractable heavy metal to total content were negatively correlated with clay content but ai and Ni contents were positively correlated with soil pH, organic matter, and available phosphorous. Therefore, the orchard soil was safe because the heavy metal contents of orchard soil were very low as compared to its threshold value in the Soil Environmental Conservation Act. However, it need to consider the input of agricultural materials to the agricultural land for farming practices for assessment of heavy metals.

  • 고경도 Ni-Co 합금 도금액 개발을 위하여 Ni과 Co의 함량 조성비와 전류밀도에 따라 전기도금을 실시하였다. Ni과 Co의 함량비는 Ni의 농도를 일정하게 유지시키고 Co의 농도를 10~30g/${\ell}$로 하여 실험을 하였다. Ni과 Co의 함량 조성비에 따른 합금 도금층의 성분을 EDS를 이용하여 분석하였고 전류밀도별 표면형상을 FE-SEM을 이용하여 분석하였다. 그리고 도금층의 성분에 따른 경도값을 비커스 경도계를 이용하여 분석하였다.

Heavy Metal Concentration of Soils and Plants in Baekdong Serpentinite Area, Chungnam - A Case of Pinus densiflora and Pinus rigida - (충남 백동 사문암지역의 토양 및 식물체내 중금속 함량 - 소나무 및 리기다소나무를 중심으로 -)

  • Heavy metal concentrations in rocks and soils from serpentinite(SP) and in plants (Pinus densiflora: PD and Pinus rigida: PR) were examined at Baekdong mine in Hongsung, Chungnam. Parent rocks were compared with amphibole schist(AS) and gneiss(GN) and plants divided the above grounds and roots were examined, respectively. In rocks, Ni, Cr, Co, Fe concentrations in SP were higher than those in AS and GN. The concentrations of top soils had the similar differences to their rocks; especially Ni, Cr, Co, Fe concentrations were the highest in SP, Zn and Sc concentrations, however, were the highest in AS. Average Ni, Cr, Co, Au, As, Sb, W concentrations of PD were the highest in SP and especially Ni, Cr, Co concentrations were accorded with changes of rocks and top soils. Zn and Sc concentrations in AS were higher and Fe and Mo concentrations in GN were higher than those in SP. Compared with two plants in the same serpentinite sites, most elements of PR were higher than those of PD. Therefore, these suggested PR absorbed much heavy metal than PD. Most element concentrations of roots in two plants and three rocks were higher than those of the above ground. Relative ratios (average plant concentration/soil concentration) of Ni, Cr, Co, Zn, Sc, Fe in AS and GN were higher than those of SP. Especially, relative ratios of most elements except Zn in GN were the highest.

  • We studied to compare the fractionation patterns of Ni, Cu, Zn in Jeju volcanic ash soils and to elucidate the uptakes of them by Pakchoi(Brassica campestris var. chinensis). Fractionation patterns of soils by sequential extraction method were different and make to distinguish from various soil types. In Pakchoi, the transfer rates of Ni, Cu, Zn from root to shoot were also different by metal types. There are low corelation between fractional contents in soil and contents in plants of trace elements except for exchangeable Zn. It is needed to develop novel methods for the assessment soil Ni in relation to plant uptake because of poor corelation.

  • $LiCoO_2$and $LiCo_{1-x}$$Ni_x$$O_2$ solid solutions were fabricated by the solid state reaction process. The structural cation mixing phenomena were investigated using XRD, SEM, particle size analysis and $^7$Li NMR,The synthesized LiCoO$_2$ and $LiCo_{1-x}Ni_XO_2$ microcrystallines showed the hexagonal layered structures. Mean particle sizes were increased with the increase of the amount of nickel in the solid solutions. The cation mixing effects were increased as increasing the fraction of nickel(x), x = 0.3, 0.5, 0.7. the peak frequency of $^7$Li NMR was shifted to the higher frequency and the line width increased as increasing the amount of nickel in the solid solutions.

  • Ni-B 합금 도금은 여러 가지 Boron 화합물을 이용한 무전해 도금에 비중을 두고 많은 연구가 이루어졌다. 전해 도금은 무전해 도금과 비교하여 욕조성이 단순하고 관리가 용이하며 하며 넓은 범위의 Boron 함량을 조절할 수 있는 이점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 낮은 Boron 함량의 Ni-B 합금층을 전기도금하여 여러 가지 물성을 연구하였다.
