Spatial joins find pairs of objects that overlap with each other. In spatial joins using indexes, original-space indexes such as the R-tree are widely used. An original-space index is the one that indexes objects as represented in the original space. Since original-space indexes deal with sizes of objects, it is difficult to develop a formal algorithm without relying on heuristics. On the other hand, transform-space indexes, which transform objects in the original space into points in the transform space and index them, deal only with points but no sites. Thus, spatial join algorithms using these indexes are relatively simple and can be formally developed. However, the disadvantage of transform-space join algorithms is that they cannot be applied to original-space indexes such as the R-tree containing original-space objects. In this paper, we present a novel mechanism for achieving the best of these two types of algorithms. Specifically, we propose a new notion of the transform-space view and present the transform-space view join algorithm(TSVJ). A transform-space view is a virtual transform-space index based on an original-space index. It allows us to interpret on-the-fly a pre-built original-space index as a transform-space index without incurring any overhead and without actually modifying the structure of the original-space index or changing object representation. The experimental result shows that, compared to existing spatial join algorithms that use R-trees in the original space, the TSVJ improves the number of disk accesses by up to 43.1% The most important contribution of this paper is to show that we can use original-space indexes, such as the R-tree, in the transform space by interpreting them through the notion of the transform-space view. We believe that this new notion provides a framework for developing various new spatial query processing algorithms in the transform space.

This study examines the space composition and character of Elizabethan Theater base on the theory of drama and Shakespeares play in the english traditional theater. Contemporary multi purpose theater and public space is considered as a symbolic representation of the Elizabethan theaters organization and renaissance culture. In the historical theory, the Shakespeares theater was a common tool and best systeme in reflecting peoples lives. This role of theater as mass culture and new style of theater permanent design has get its value with the population increase and the urban centralization of the city and urban common sense. This study attempts to reevaluate the need of public space in modern society through a critical review of theater and its use as a open space design. Content analysis was used to discuss the topics of this study including the historical background of the theater, the relationship between Greek culture and modern design, and the role of scenery, auditorium and its impact on urban environment. The scope of the study is limited to the comparison of Elizabethan theater and space use program from the space critic and sociologist. Today the concept of theatrical space is altered with the advent of non-objects and multi media space. This study provides insights for the future implications of theatrical space in developing public space for its a new definition as cultural representation.

With today's new media environment throughout Ubiquitous information innovation, live and dynamic fluid space is being created by integrating organic integration between electronic space and physical space and transplanting intelligence to materials. In other words, perception occurs in fluid space itself in a new media environment so has complicatedly organic relationship with environment and humans. In addition, emotion, time and movement have actively attempted to enter the space so designs appealing to humans' emotions are made through stimulation of synaesthetic sensory organs. This can be understood in the same context that media is eventually expansion of human body. Fluid space has characteristics of a live organism with factors such as sensor, perception and behavior so it needs to interpret perceptual system relationally and synthetically through an organic study method. This study looks into characteristics of organic perceptual system in terms of the meaning that fluid space with movements have as the sensory-perceptive subject and accordingly makes the world more sufficient as the third space, prepares a possibility to get out of limited five senses, and will develop fluid space as the organic environment making stimulation by itself.

Technological development of information and communication have brought sharp changes to every sector such as society, culture, economy and education because of knowledge and information-oriented society. The number of classes has decreased, and some schools are closed or incorporated due to decrease of the population. Such phenomenon has brought changes to learning using digital technology and space. A change called digital innovation is characterized by interactive communication centering on the internet network. Therefore, it is very important to predict educational environment to be changed according to digital environment and to note how real learning space is changed. The development of digital technology in society in general presents two concepts of digital and contents, digitalized information. Such technology is recognized as a new paradigm in education sector and a new space is created through participation of instructors and learners in learning space. This study analysed cases of learning space of elementary schools based on bibliographical examination and related bibliography including data from academic presentations and news release to present developed leaning space. To present healthy and creative learning environment which can lead knowledge and information-based society in the future, the preface described the background, purpose, methods and range of the study, and analysed transitional processes of society and culture, digital learning contents, and learning space in education of elementary schools. Finally the study identified trends and cases of research on learning space and suggested digital learning contents space.

In the 1970s and 1980s, space installations in films became a new approach to film research. Many film directors and theoretical scholars believe that the space setting in films, other than textual stories, is an important core of film narrative research. Early film scholars have proposed that the film space with sensory narrative mode as the core motive force can promote people's in-depth understanding of the film content. Therefore, many researchers have tried to emphasize the importance of space in films through Hitchcock's films, but have not analyzed the elements and techniques of film space performance in detail. Reviewing the Hitchcock's classic crime film, through the space set in the traditional film, we can discover the movie techniques and concepts related to space. Therefore, this study takes Hitchcock's classic crime film as an example, and through analysis of film space expression techniques, attempts to propose factors for film space creation and bring new spatial perception effects to the audience.
