The Vacuum circuit breaker is a kind of power circuit breaker and protect electric devices from over-current. In this paper we built a dynamic model of VCB driving mechanism using ADAMS. The development of the new circuit breaker with less energy and more compactable mechanism is focused. Through the dynamic model, the concept design of the new circuit breaker with less energy and more compactable mechanism is proposed, and then the detailed design is carried out through the design process based on the dynamic model.

This research deals with a new concept regarding creative enlargement in order for useful space composition. Architecture, through interior design case analysis has given birth to a new concept and inspiration altering interior designer's perspectives on the future environment. Focusing exclusively on those offices that express in design terms a commitment to such concepts as team-Working, just-in-time Working, virtual and mobile working and those using the newest technological tools and the latest space-planning concepts available. Emphasis is placed on how an office environment can be designed to encourage group working, the sharing of knowledge, a spirit of community within larger organizations, and non-territorial working-employees that work where and how they want supported by cordless technologies.

This paper accomplishes the following points: First, the costume style held by women in the Silla dynasty are examined. Second, a new fashion concept is drawn from Silla's costume images with lessons from analyzing how major brands from China and Japan have adopted their own traditional images. Third, a Korean fashion concept is crafted to reflect important modern fashion design factors. The conclusions of this study are: The concept of Korean fashion using Silla costume image based on the 2015 S/S trend was developed and suggested as: 'Harmony of Contrast', new beauty created by mutually contrasting things; 'Timeless' transcending time-space flowing from the past, present, to future; 'Empathy' where past and present are harmonized; 'Modern with Antique' expressing a new style modernism where the old retains value. The efforts to express identity via conceptualization of Korean fashion are an effective strategy that satisfies the goals of setting Korea's fashion design apart from others and spreading Korean culture.

Historically, rhythm has played a key role not only in musical composition, but also in architectural design. In 1893, architectural theorist and art scholar August Schmarsow, in "The Essence of Architectural Creation," created a new definition of architecture as space-creation and characterized rhythm as a design principle. However, this new idea was confronted by Heinrich Wölfflin. While Schmarsow's theory represents a dynamic world-view based on anthropomorphism, the architectural theory of Wölfflin is based on the notion of harmony, displaying a kind of conservative stasis. These two main streams have greatly influenced the development of modern architecture. The concept of space has prevailed in the discourse of modern architecture, but the principle of rhythm has seldom received any positive recognition. This article introduces and develops the concept of rhythm and disputes whether Behrens and Frankl in particular, two who dispute Schmarsow's theories, have used the concept of rhythm in terms of space. I conclude that they could not overcome the notion of the physical-the body-, thus their use of the term rhythm is incongruous with the notion of space. The idea of rhythm in architectural creation remains an up and coming idea.

The postmodern culture since the later 20C breaks downa tradition a relation between the reality and languages or sign images expressing it. It develops in the way to review the meaning on the object's imitation or the representation to have been followed since Plato and represent the new state and concept of expressed things. Also, The visual art leads an change of paradigm by images giving up the visual resemblance or the function of representation and endowing them with the new sense. This essay has a purpose to study an important discussion about this change centered on Baudrillard and Lacan. A sociologist Baudrillard promotes the concept of 'simulation' through detecting the reality and the social and historical state of the image. Studying on the course of this change, he calls the step that the image escapes from the stage to reflect the reality and become the pure imitation by itself simulation. The image in the stage of simulation is called 'hyperreality' because it doesn't have any an indicator or a substitute and happens by models without the original or the reality. So he asserts that art is not to contain some absoluteness or transcendency as the past, but to be as the spectacle with characteristics of meaningless, emptiness, contingency. Lacan dismantles the concept of the absolute Cogito to have become the center of the western ideology, and creates the concept of 'Other'. He concludes also the reality exists but can't be captured, and it's impossible for the thinking subject can reach it. The concept of new image which can be thought as the Symbolic in Lacan is 'Signifier without Signified' since it isn't possible to be the transcendent Signifier fixing the meaning finally in it. His 'Gaze' theory is which to be emitted in other's area determines the subject. Equally Baudrillard and Lacan sets up the new state of the image through the end of representation system As for Baudrillard, art intends to the worthlessness and is nothing but imagination. But in Lacan a picture represents the subject being in process by the dialectic of desire.

This study aims to figure out any possible expanded expression methods and diverse formative effects in fashion design by recognizing the importance of objects that suggest new paradigms as a means of expressing aesthetic consciousness in contemporary fashion and analogizing the formative characteristics of objects used in fashion and their significance. Accordingly, the study focuses on analyzing and interpreting objects introduced to fashion design with a formative view by substituting the concept of an object that has taken an important position in the contemporary arts for fashion. This study further aims to examine the concept of objects by trend and their characteristics within a syntactical structure and come up with a standard for classification of objects and a framework of analysis from cubism in the early 20th century when the concept of an object began to appear in arts to Dadaism, Surrealism, Pop art, Land art, Environmental art and the present time. Finally, the study aims to examine the status of objects in fashion and the relationships between fashion and objects through analyses on fashion objects and to suggest new perspectives and approaches to interpret the contemporary fashion in the 21st century.

The purpose of this study is to arrange the design elements and methods for sustainable community. After made the concept of sustainable community clear in the contemporary architecture and urban design, this study examines rural ecovillage, urban demonstration project, co-housing, new urbanism and urban village, and ecological township as the application modes of sustainable community. Through the cases of the application mode, the design elements for sustainable community were summarized as the followings: the symbiosis system with the nature, permaculture and edible landscape, identity, the technology for saving of resources and energy, the traffic system for the reduction of private motor use, mixed use development, and the housing with diversity. And the design methods for sustainable community were summarized as the followings: strategic planning, visioning, community action planning, workshops and charrette, environmental evaluation, and participation techniques.

In this paper, the ergonomic principle and concept will be established and the conceptual bridge design based on the ergonomic studies pertaining to bridge design undertaken by IMO and ISO will be introduced. In particular, this study has looked into the applicability of ergonomic design concept on coastal ships and proposes new bridge design to make good contribution to the prevention of marine accidents in the coastal sea.

The Burnable Poison (BP) is very important for all Light Water Reactors in order to hold-down the initial excess reactivity and to control power peaking. The use of BP is even more essential as the excess reactivity increases significantly with a longer operation cycle. In this paper a feasibility study was conducted in order to investigate the benefits of a new combinational BP concept designed for 24-month cycle PWR core. The reference designs in this study are based on the two Korean fuel assemblies; 17 × 17 Westinghouse (WH) design and 16 × 16 Combustion Engineering (CE) design. A modification was done on these two designs to extend their cycle length from 18 months into 24 months. DeCART2D-MASTER code system was used to perform assembly and core calculations for both designs. A preliminary test was conducted in order to choose the best BP suitable for 24-month as a representative for single BP concept. The comparison between the results of two concepts (combinational BP concept and single BP concept) showed that the combinational BP concept can replace the single BP concept with better performance on holding down the initial excess reactivity without violating the design limitations.

Contemporary society demands the ability to cope with the change competitively to the designer which is being accelerated of change and various media are emerging. The web design field which is one of the core design industry field of the contemporary society is needing the conversion from manufacturing technology specialization into creative design development composition. Generally, creative design development ability can be learned by studying. So, creativity development education is needed to develop creative design. Creative thought training is perceived as the core condition for competitive design and the education method for this is being proceeded multiply. But the study for design concept is lacking concretely. By this, this paper is to study the model which helps setting the design concept deduction creatively by instigating new ways of thought. The concept development process suggested in the study procedure systemizes the course for creative web design concept deduction and expects it to be utilized in design development to reinforce competitiveness.
