  • Mesostigmatid mites were collected from forest soils in Korea from December 1998 to October 1999. Eleven species were recognized including a new species, Neparholaspis bisunensis n. sp., and three new records, Holaspina communis (Ishikawa, 1966), Holaspina multidentatus (Ishikawa, 1980) and Holaspulus montanus Ishikawa, 1995.

  • Examining the polychaetous annelids collected from the Yellow $Sea(30^{\circ}20'\;N\;Lat.\;124^{\circ}35'\;E\;Long)$ Jinhae Bay, Yeocheon Bay, Jeju Do and Weolpo. I found five species which should be added in the list as new to the polychaetous annelids fauna of Korea. In the present study five species are reported morphological descriptions. Consquently, a total 125 species of polychaetous has been reported(Kamita and Sato 1941; Paik 1972, 1973a, 1973b, 1975a, 1975b, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979; Lee 1976; Rho and Song 1974, 1975) in Korea.

The former is the only member of the genus recorded in Korea. The latter extends its range from Tai Nan, northward to the central East China Sea. Brief comments on to fisheries interests and coloration are given for the two species.

  • This paper presents new data on free-living heterotrophic euglenids (Euglenozoa, Protista) that occurred in the marine sediments at Cape Tribulation, Queensland, Australia. Twenty-nine species from 9 genera are described with uninterpreted records based on light microscopy, including one new taxon: Notosolenus capetribulationi n. sp. There was little evidence for endemism because the majority of heterotrophic euglenid species encountered here have been reported or were found from other habitats.
