This study was conducted to investigate how to apply the theories of oriental medicine appropriately, which direction should be taken, and how it should be developed The results are as follows. First, to develop medicinal cuisine, it is necessary to grasp the theoretical system, considering Ohaeng and Omi, the five viscera and the six entrails, organs and body, by raising the level of understanding comprehensively about the relationship between the characteristics of each groups of Sasang Constitutions and the theories of Eumyangohaeng, and the relationship between the theory of Kimi. and food, and then to explain developed medicinal cuisine and apply those theories to inventing new ones. Secondly, to develop medicinal cuisine for health enhancement, it is also required not only to consider constitutions but also to suggest the need of knowledge for moderation in terms of regimen along with the theory of Kimi. Thirdly, to develop medicinal cuisine according to the perspective of Kimi. Theory, what should be taken into account is not only the understanding of the characteristics of food materials, but also the properties of them that the theory of Kimi, Eumyangohaeng, and Sasang Constitutions share so that it is possible to invent medicinal cuisine which is good for anybody to protect disease specific to a certain group of constitutions with, and serves as the dietary regimen customed to each constitution group. Lastly, the scientific effect of the medicinal cuisine which is developed according to the theory of Kimi., Eumyangohaeng, and Sasang Constitutions should be verified by scientific researches and clinical experiments. And it is believed to be essential for the government to make efforts to set a standard and laws to validate the medicinal effects and the process of assessment so that the systematic development can be encouraged, and to prepare guidance to food development for national health improvement.

If human body is exposed to the continuous stress, it becomes allostasis load which is the condition of homeostasis broken. Its evolutional ecologic point of view and the relation with chiljeongsnag which is a theory in Oriental Medicine were investigated. Upon evolutional ecologic point of view by Maynard Smith, people can be divided by Hawks and Doves resulting in different types of allostasis in response of the stress. Hawks people who are active and aggressive get easily anger in the stressful situation to be vulnerable to the inflammatory hepatic diseases by enhancing Th1 immune system. On the other hand, Doves people who are passive and calm get easily depressed with sadness in the stressful situation to be vulnerable to the allergic pulmonary diseases by enhancing Th2 immune system. According to constitution theory of Oriental Medicine, Yangin and Eumin show the different features of responses to the stress generating Chiljeongsang. With excessive stress continuously, Yangin consider the feeling of anger mainly resulting in Qi reversal and liver damage, while Eumin consider the feeling of sadness mainly in consumption of Qi and lung damage. Hawks and Yangin, and Doves and Eumin show the common behaviors in response to the stress demonstrating the similar features including allostasis load and Chiljeongsang. In the clinical practices with the stressful patients, the viewpoint to consider the behaviors and feelings of the subjects to receive the stress simultaneously can be the new approaching method in Psychosomatic Medicine.

The Sasang constitutional medicine classifies the mankind into four constitutional types according to the individual psychological and physical traits. Differences in the Sasang constitutional medicine may be explained by the genetic factors. In order to determine the association of Sasang constitutional classification and interleukin-1 receptor antagonist (IL-1Ra) in genetic susceptibility to ischemic stroke, we classified the four constitutional types in ischemic stroke patients (n = 125) and the healthy control subjects (n = 107), and genotyped for IL-1Ra polymorphism by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) methods. The distribution of the $IL1RN^*1/IL1RN^*2$ genotype in the ischemic stroke patients was significantly different from the healthy controls (OR = 6.09; P =0.0134). And the prevalence of $IL1RN^*1/IL1RN^*2$ genotype was increased in Taeum-in ischemic stroke patients, as compared to Taeum-in healthy controls (OR = 14.71; P = 0.0144). These results suggest that $IL1RN^*1/IL1RN^*2$ genotype in Taeum-in might be associated with the increasing risk for ischemic stroke. Furthermore, this relationship could provide the basis for a new approach in the investigation of the etiology of ischemic stroke.

Recently, as the increase of internet users and the needs of the new educational paradigm, many educational institutions go into the cyberspace system. Especially, it is increase that the cooperative extension for supplying the degree and the remote lectures in the university itself. Mostly those lectures have the form of discussion with theoretical course in the center. It is needed to the development of educational tools for the other courses. The cyber education systems are due to be developed more and more. So we should consider the effective usage of recent techniques like this. Accordingly, I'd like to say what is the method of using effectively the cyber communication. It would be considered about the part of cyber communications and the educational effects that has classified into three parts: the cyber communication as a educational medium, the communication for the cooperative studies, and the theological background of the cyberspace communication. Moreover it is proposed the two parts of the effective study directions; the constitution of the community study, and the effective study factors.

The objective of this article is to induce that the conception of 'Qi-jul(氣質) and Qi-pum(氣稟)' was introduced to the Sasang(四象) Constitutional Medicine from bibliographic study on the theory of 'Qi-pum(氣稟)'. The conclusions summerized as followings. 1. In the oriental medicine, qualitative difference of 'zheng-qi(正氣)' among the individuals, the opposing power against a disease, is regarded as constitution. Having been used as 'nature(素)', 'quality(質)' and 'character(氣質)' in the oriental medical book, the word of 'Che-Jil(體質)' was used in good earnest at the end of 'Qing(情)' dynasty. 2. The nature(性) is divided into two, original nature(本然之性) and charicteristic nature(氣質之性) in the 'New confucianism(新儒學)' and the former means a principle(理), is a pure and good thing and used as a conception of universality, the latter is a principle of character and a imperfect imitation of principle(理). 3. It was repeatedly confirmed that 'Qi-jil and Qi-pum' meant the difference among the individuals by the dispute of 'Li-Qi(理氣)' caused by Lee Hwang(李滉) and Lee Yi(李耳) and by that of 'Ho-Rak(湖洛)' in the Ch'o-son(朝鮮) dynasty. 4. Han Sok-Ji, based on Meng-Zi(孟子)'s doctrine that man's inborn nature is good, criticized the theory of 'Qi-pum' which was 'Zhu-Zi(朱子)'s opinion and his opinion about the life(命) was thought to clue to the classification of the 'Sasang(四象)' invented by Lee Je-Ma as Park Se-Dang's theory that everyone has common nature but has different life(命). 5. By introducing the theory of 'Qi-pum' and the conception of life(命) which was understood as a special character by Han Sok-Ji and Park Se-Dang to Sa-sang constitutional medicine, Lee Je-Ma explained the reason why each man who was classified four constitutions, 'Taiyang'(太陽), 'Taiyin'(太陰), 'Shaoyang'(少陽), 'Shaoyin'(少陰), had the different formation of the visceral department(臟局).

The study interviewed 102 North Korean defectors residing in South Korea after completing the Hanawon program through face-to-face interviews. The most celebrated holiday in South Korea was found to be Seollal at 65.7%, followed by Chuseok at 23.2%, Christmas at 7.8%, and Hansik at 1%. With respect to the question of wheather or not North Korea creates a more festive mood compared to South Korea, 33.3% of respondents answered that they felt similar in both countries 2.6% said "yes", they were in a more festive mood in North Korea, whereas 21.6% said "no", and 18.6% said they felt "very different". The most representative traditional food was ranked in the order of rice dishes with kimchi (19.6%), rice cake (11.8%) and boiled rice (8.9%) on National Liberation Day of Korea; rice dishes (17.6%), rice cake (7.8%) and boiled rice (4.9%) on North Korea Constitution Day; and rice cake (57.8%), noodles (9.8%), dumplings (9.8%) and boiled rice (8.8%) on Lunar New Year's Day. In regard to positive recognition about festival foods, "festival food of South Korea has diverse recipes" showed the highest positively in South Korea. The respondents positively recognized that festival foods of North Korea are not sweet, have a unique taste are traditional and have a table setting.

1. The purpose of study The problem lies in the Sasang-constitutional-medicine is a subjectiveness of diagnosis that can be varied by every donor. Questionnare for the Sasang Constitution Classification II(QSCCII) was invented to solve this problem. This study was conducted for two purpose. The one is re-value the QSCCII. The other is to make a basis to upgrade QSCCII. 2. The method of study QSCCII was administered to 537 patients at Kyung Hee Oriental Medicine Hospital. Data was collected during 19 months from september 2000 to march 2002. For the purpose of this study, the collected data was analyzed by crosstabs, variation analysis and discrimination analysis. The analyzing program was SPSS 8.0 for Windows. And using this program I made the judgmental equation to re-value the QSCCII. 3. The result of study 1) not applied intensifying value The diagnostic discrimination abilities of the QSCCII is 61.5% about Taeyangin, 57.7% about Soyangin, 67.2% about Taeumin, 68.8% about Soemin. And its average is 65.0%. 2) applied intensifying value The diagnostic discrimination abilities of the QSCCII is 76.9% about Taeyangin, 59.9% about Soyangin, 68.9% about Taeumin, 71.2% about Soemin. And its average is 67.3%. 3) I propose a new diagnostic possibility with a different discriminant analysis and increase 42.3% of diagnostic discrimination ability considering 25% of accident diagnostic discrimination ability. 4) Development and complement of Taeyangin and Soyangin questions is needed to increase the accuracy of diagnosis.

Ginseng contained many different kinds of saponin which was the most valuable for people, but its yield cannot satisfy the demand using traditional extract methods. Enzyme transformation is a conformable and highly performed method which was fit for today. A ${\beta}$-glucosidase producing bacterium ($DCY51^T$) was isolated from Korean fermented-vegetable food kimchi. The 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis revealed that the strain $DCY51^T$ belongs to the genus Lactobacillus. The highest sequence similarity was found with Lactobacillus paracollinoides LMG $22473^T$ and Lactobacillus collinoides LMG $9194^T$ with levels of 16S rDNA similarity of 97.4% and 97.3%, respectively. Based on the above results the strain $DCY51^T$ placed in the genus Lactobacillus and proposed a new species, Lactobacillus kimchicus sp. nov. $DCY51^T$ (= KCTC $12976^T$ = JCM $15530^T$). It was culture solution reacted with Red Ginseng extract and $Rb_1$, respectively. The medium of bacteria was the liquid of MRS, the temperatures of growing and reacting between bacteria liquid and saponin were samely $37^{\circ}C$, there spective reacting time were 12 hours and 48 hours. Thus we got different saponins, and TLC and HPLC analysis showed that: enzyme respectively reacted with $Rb_1$ and Red Ginseng extract got the transformed saponin, respectively. The polarity position in TLC was a little higher than Rd; and the polarity position was the same as that of Compound K's, the saponin obtained from HPLC and other experimental results was not Compound K. The constitution of its saponin was hoped to be further confirmed.

By a tremendous expansion of Internet users, there's a number effects that cause the phenomenon of bottlenecked switching packets from routers. In order to tear down this problem, distributed system is applicable to almost every highly performed router systems. The main processor of distributed system, which manages routing table, commands IPC to delivering the forwarding table line processor that eases functionalities of the router. This makes the system having wired-speed forwarding function based on the hardware so that the performance of the network can be enhanced. Therefore, IPC, which assign a part of router, is necessary to exchange data smoothly and the constitution of IPC using Ethernet is widely adapted as a method for saving investment. In this paper, R-IPC mechanism improve the packet-processing rate over 10% through changed from defect of conventional Ethernet IPC, that is, 2 layer processing to TCP/IP or UDP/ IP into 1 layer processing for efficient packet forwarding.

The Pd-Te system has been investigated by differential thermal analysis, X-ray diffration, electron probe microanalysis and reflected light microscopy. New phase relations in 0-50at% Te portion of the binary system are proposed. Eight binary phases exist in the system:Pd17Te4, Pd20Te7.PdsTe3, P477e3, P497e4, P637e2, PeTe and PaTe2. Of these, P677e3 is a newly reported phase. P4177e4 is cubic, space group Fd3c, with a=12.678(5)A. The X-ray powder data of PdsTe3, indexed on an orthorhombic cell, give a= 12.843(3), b=15.126(3), c: 11.304(2)A and those of PdTTe.1, indexed on a monoclinic cell, give a=7.444(1), b= 13.918(2) , c=8.873(2)A. p =92.46(2). Some physical and optical properties of synthetic phases in the system are also reported.
