  • In this paper, we present an approach to the structure identification based on the input space partition methods and to the parameter identification by hybrid learning method in neuro-fuzzy system. The structure identification can automatically estimate the number of membership function and fuzzy rule using grid partition, tree partition, scatter partition from numerical input-output data. And then the parameter identification is carried out by the hybrid learning scheme using back-propagation and least squares estimate. Finally, we sill show its usefulness for neuro-fuzzy modeling to truck backer-upper control.

  • As the strip caster system that produces a regular steel plate can be considered as a complicate nonlinear multi-variable system, it is not easy to obtain an effective control system. One way to overcome the difficulties is to apply the intelligent neuro-fuzzy fusion approach in developing the control scheme. The neuro-fuzzy control scheme possesses several distinct advantages, including the fact that it doesn't need the exact mathematical modeling of controlled plant and can provided some robustness in the control scheme. In this paper, an intelligent neuro-fuzzy for the stripe caster system will be proposed. The effectiveness of the proposed scheme will be demonstrated by computer simulation.

Intelligent Approach for Android Malware Detection

  • As the Android operating system has become a key target for malware authors, Android protection has become a thriving research area. Beside the proved importance of system permissions for malware analysis, there is a lot of overlapping in permissions between malware apps and goodware apps. The exploitation of them effectively in malware detection is still an open issue. In this paper, to investigate the feasibility of neuro-fuzzy techniques to Android protection based on system permissions, we introduce a self-adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system to classify the Android apps into malware and goodware. According to the framework introduced, the most significant permissions that characterize optimally malware apps are identified using Information Gain Ratio method and encapsulated into patterns of features. The patterns of features data is used to train and test the system using stratified cross-validation methodologies. The experiments conducted conclude that the proposed classifier can be effective in Android protection. The results also underline that the neuro-fuzzy techniques are feasible to employ in the field.

뉴로-퍼지 모델을 이용한 항공다중분광주사기 영상의 지표면 분류 (Land Surface Classification With Airborne Multi-spectral Scanner Image Using A Neuro-Fuzzy Model)

  • In this paper, we propose and apply new classification method to the remotely sensed image acquired from airborne multi-spectral scanner. This is a neuro-fuzzy image classifier derived from the generic model of a 3-layer fuzzy perceptron. We implement a classification software system with the proposed method for land cover image classification. Comparisons with the proposed and maximum-likelihood classifiers are also presented. The results show that the neuro-fuzzy classification method classifies more accurately than the maximum likelihood method. In comparing the maximum-likelihood classification map with the neuro-fuzzy classification map, it is apparent that there is more different as amount as 7.96% in the overall accuracy. Most of the differences are in the "Building" and "Pine tree", for which the neuro-fuzzy classifier was considerably more accurate. However, the "Bare soil" is classified more correctly with the maximum-likelihood classifier rather than the neuro-fuzzy classifier.

  • In this paper, we design an adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system(ANFIS) precompensator for load frequency control of 2-area power systems. While proportional integral derivative (PID) controllers are used in power systems, they may have some problems because of high nonlinearities of the power systems. So, a neuro-fuzzy-based precompensation scheme is incorporated with a convectional PID controller to obtain robustness to the nonlinearities. The proposed precompensation technique can be easily implemented by adding a precompensator to an existing PID controller. The applied neruo-fuzzy inference system precompensator uses a hybrid learning algorithm. This algorithm is to use both a gradient descent method to optimize the premise parameters and a least squares method to solve for the consequent parameters. Simulation results show that the proposed control technique is superior to a conventional Ziegler-Nichols PID controller in dynamic responses about load disturbances.

  • Control of Industrial processes is very difficult due to nonlinear dynamics, effect of disturbances and modeling errors. M.Morari proposed Internal Model Control(IMC) system that can be effectively applied to the systems with model uncertainties and time delays. The advantage of IMC systems is their robustness with respect to a model mismatch and disturbances. But it was difficult to apply for nonlinear systems. Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System which contains multiple linear models as consequent part is used to model nonlinear systems. Generally, the linear parameters in neuro-fuzzy inference system can be effectively utilized to identify a nonlinear dynamical systems. In this paper, we propose new IMC design method using adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system for nonlinear plant. Numerical simulation results show that proposed IMC design method has good performance than classical PID controller.

  • The load frequency control of power system is one of important subjects in view of system operation and control. That is even though the rapid load disturbances were applied to the given power system, the stable and reliable power should be supplied to the users, converging unconditionally and rapidly the frequency deviations and the tie-line power flow one on each area into allowable boundary limits. Nonetheless of such needs, if the internal parameter perturbation and the sudden load variation were given, the unstable phenomenal of power system can be often brought out because of the large frequency deviation and the unsuppressible power line one. Therefore, it is desirable to design the robust neuro-fuzzy controller which can stabilize effectively the given power system as soon as possible. In this paper the robust neuro-fuzzy controller was proposed and applied to control of load frequency over multi-area power system. The architecture and algorithm of a designed NFC(Neuro-Fuzzy Controller) were consist of fuzzy controller and neural network for auto tuning of fuzzy controller. The adaptively learned antecedent and consequent parameters of membership functions in fuzzy controller were acquired from the steepest gradient method for error-back propagation algorithm. The performances of the resultant NFC, that is, the steady-state deviations of frequency and tie-line power flow and the related dynamics, were investigated and analyzed in detail by being applied to the load frequency control of multi-area power system, when the perturbations of predetermined internal parameters. Through the simulation results tried variously in this paper for disturbances of internal parameters and external stepwise load stepwise load changes, the superiorities of the proposed NFC in robustness and adaptive rapidity to the conventional controllers were proved.

  • In this paper, a multi variable neuro-fuzzy controller for a boiler-turbine system is designed. Two architectures are used. The first consists of boiler-turbine system identification and the second is designing a controller. A generalized backpropagation algorithm is developed and used to train the neuro-fuzzy controller. Designed controller is good tracking property and rejects the input and output disturbances. The results of the proposed design method is verified through simulation.

합 기반의 전건부를 가지는 뉴로-퍼지 시스템 설계 (Design of a Neuro-Fuzzy System Using Union-Based Rule Antecedent)

  • 본 논문에서는 규칙의 수를 줄여 간결한 지식 기반을 보장할 수 있는 합 기반의 전건부를 가지는 뉴로-퍼지 제어기를 제안하였다. 제안된 뉴로-퍼지 제어기는 모든 입력 변수의 AND 조합을 전건부로 하는 구조의 퍼지 규칙보다 더 큰 입력 영역을 커버하기 위해 전건부에 입력 퍼지 집합의 합집합 연산을 허용하였다. 이러한 뉴로-퍼지 제어기를 구성하기 위해 본 논문에서는 OR 및 AND 퍼지 뉴런으로 구성된 multiple-term unified logic processor (MULP)를 고려하였다. 이러한 OR 및 AND 퍼지 뉴런은 조정 가능한 연결 강도 집합을 가지므로 학습을 통하여 최적의 연결 강도 집합을 찾을 수 있다. 초기 최적화 단계에서 유전 알고리즘은 제안된 뉴로 퍼지 제어기의 최적화된 이진 구조를 구성하고, 이후 확률에 기반한 강화 학습은 성능 지수를 더욱 향상시켜서 유전 알고리즘에 의해 최적화된 제어기의 이진 연결을 개선하였다. 역진자 시스템을 제어하기 위한 모의실험 및 실험을 통해 제안된 방법의 유효성을 검증하였다.

  • This paper presents an Fuzzy-Neuro Observer system for an ac servo motor dirve to track periodic commands using a neuro-fuzzy observer. AC servo motor drive system is rather similar to a linear system. However, the uncertainties, such as machanical parametric variation, external disturbance, uncertainty due to nonideal in transient state. therefore an intelligent control system that isan on-line trained neural network controller with adaptive learning rates.
