Intelligent System Predictor using Virtual Neural Predictive Model

  • A large system predictor, which can perform prediction of sales trend in a huge number of distribution centers, is presented using neural predictive model. There are 20,000 number of distribution centers, and each distribution center need to forecast future demand in order to establish a reasonable inventory policy. Therefore, the number of forecasting models corresponds to the number of distribution centers, which is not possible to estimate that kind of huge number of accurate models in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning)module. Multilayer neural net as universal approximation is employed for fitting the prediction model. In order to improve prediction accuracy, a sequential simulation procedure is performed to get appropriate network structure and also to improve forecasting accuracy. The proposed simulation procedure includes neural structure identification and virtual predictive model generation. The predictive model generation consists of generating virtual signals and estimating predictive model. The virtual predictive model plays a key role in tuning the real model by absorbing the real model errors. The complement approach, based on real and virtual model, could forecast the future demands of various distribution centers.

Stable Predictive Control of Chaotic Systems Using Self-Recurrent Wavelet Neural Network

  • In this paper, a predictive control method using self-recurrent wavelet neural network (SRWNN) is proposed for chaotic systems. Since the SRWNN has a self-recurrent mother wavelet layer, it can well attract the complex nonlinear system though the SRWNN has less mother wavelet nodes than the wavelet neural network (WNN). Thus, the SRWNN is used as a model predictor for predicting the dynamic property of chaotic systems. The gradient descent method with the adaptive learning rates is applied to train the parameters of the SRWNN based predictor and controller. The adaptive learning rates are derived from the discrete Lyapunov stability theorem, which are used to guarantee the convergence of the predictive controller. Finally, the chaotic systems are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.

  • In this paper, neural networks predictive PID (NNPPID) control system is proposed to reduce the vibration of structure. NNPPID control system is made up predictor, controller, and self-tuner to yield the optimal parameters of controller. The neural networks predictor forecasts the future outputs based on present input and output of structure. The controller is PID type whose parameters are yielded by neural networks self tuning algorithm. Computer simulations show displacements of multi-story structures applied to NNPPID system about environmental load-wind forces and earthquakes.

  • Neural network as a controller of a nonlinear system and a system identifier has been studied during the past few years. A well trained neural network identifier can be used as a system predictor. We proposed the method to design multi-step ahead predictor and multi-step predictive controller using neural network. We used the input and out put data of B system to train the NNP and used the forecasted approximat system output from NNP as B input of NNC. In this paper we used two-step ahead predictive controller to test B heating controll system and compared with PI controller.

뇌파를 이용한 의자의 쾌적성 평가 기술에 관한 연구 (A Study on Comfortableness Evaluation Technique of Chairs using Electroencephalogram)

  • This study describes a new technique for human sensibility evaluation using electroencephalogram(EEG). Production of EEG is assumed to be linear. The linear predictor coefficients and the linear cepstral coefficients of EEG are used as the feature parameters of sensibility and pattern classification performances of them are compared. Using the better parameter, a human sensibility evaluation algorithm is designed. The obtained results are as follows. The linear predictor coefficients showed the better performance in pattern classification than the linear cepstral coefficients. Then, using the linear predictor coefficients as the feature parameter, a human sensibility evaluation algorithm is developed at the base of a multi-layer neural network. This algorithm showed 90% of accuracy in comfortableness evaluation in spite of fluctuations in statistics of EEG signal.

  • 본 연구에서는 감성 평가 시스템 가장 적합한 파라미터를 찾기 위하여 3가지 뇌파 파라미터를 이용하여 감정 분류 실험을 하였다. 뇌파 파라미터는 선형예측기계수(linear predictor coefficients)와 FFT 스펙트럼 및 AR 스펙트럼의 밴드별 상호상관계수(cross-correlation coefficients)를 이용하였으며, 감정은 relaxation, joy, sadness, irritation으로 설정하였다. 뇌파 데이터는 대학의 연극동아리 학생 4명을 대상으로 수집하였으며, 전극 위치는 Fp1, Fp2, F3, F4, T3, T4, P3, P4, O1, O2를 사용하였다. 수집된 뇌파 데이터는 전처리를 거친 후 특징 파라미터를 추출하고 패턴 분류기로 사용된 신경회로망(neural network)에 입력하여 감정 분류를 하였다. 감정 분류실험 결과 선형예측기계수를 이용하는 것이 다른 2가지 보다 좋은 성능을 나타내었다.

  • In this paper, the Bayesian recurrent neural network is proposed to predict time series data. A neural network predictor requests proper learning strategy to adjust the network weights, and one needs to prepare for non-linear and non-stationary evolution of network weights. The Bayesian neural network in this paper estimates not the single set of weights but the probability distributions of weights. In other words, the weights vector is set as a state vector of state space method, and its probability distributions are estimated in accordance with the particle filtering process. This approach makes it possible to obtain more exact estimation of the weights. In the aspect of network architecture, it is known that the recurrent feedback structure is superior to the feedforward structure for the problem of time series prediction. Therefore, the recurrent neural network with Bayesian inference, what we call Bayesian recurrent neural network (BRNN), is expected to show higher performance than the normal neural network. To verify the proposed method, the time series data are numerically generated and various kinds of neural network predictor are applied on it in order to be compared. As a result, feedback structure and Bayesian learning are better than feedforward structure and backpropagation learning, respectively. Consequently, it is verified that the Bayesian reccurent neural network shows better a prediction result than the common Bayesian neural network.

  • In this paper predictive PID control system using neural network (NNPPID) is proposed to control temperature system. NNPPID is composed of neural network predictor forecasts the future output of plant based on the present input and output of plant. Neural self-tuner yields parameters of PID controller. Experiments prove that NNPPID temperature control system has better performance than conventional PID control.

  • 본 논문에서는 정확한 연결 설정을 결정하기 위해 Hopfield 신경회로망을 이용한 셀 다중화기와 역전파 신경회로망을 이용한 대역폭 예측기를 제안하였다. 다중화된 대역폭에서 망의 이용률을 극대화시키고 이용자 트랙픽의 QoS를 만족시키는 최소 대역폭이 새로 고안한 역전파 신경회로망 대역폭 예측기를 통하여 예측되어진다. 연결 수락 제어기는 예측된 대역폭과 망내의 사용 가능한 대역폭을 비교하여 연결 수락 여부를 판단한다. 연결이 설정된 사용자 소스를 감시하며 계약 위반시 적절한 조치를 취하는 퍼지 논리 제어 트래픽 감시 방법과 멀티미디어 트래픽의 주된 특성인 버스트 제어를 통한 망의 효율을 증가시키는 분석적 트래픽 형태 제어 방법을 제시한다. 제안된 트래픽 제어기는 성능이 우수하다고 평가된 기존의 제어기들과 성능 평가를 하였으며, 시뮬레이션 결과는 기존의 제어기보다 성능이 우수함을 보여주었다.

  • This paper describes a technique for human sensibility evaluation using EEGs of 4 emotions. The proposed method uses the linear predictor coefficients as EEG feature parameters and a neural network as sensibility pattern classifier. For subject independent system, multiple templates are stored and the most similar template can be selected. EEG signals corresponding to 4 emotions such as relaxation, joy, sadness and anger are collected from 5 armature performers. The states of relaxation and joy are considered as positive sensibility and those of sadness and anger as negative. The classification performance suing the proposed method is about 72.6%. This may be promising performance in the human sensibility evaluation.
